Riding to ALL 7 Lakes in a Day Challenge | San Pablo Wetlands
San Pablo city is the only city that has 7 lakes not only in Laguna, Luzon but the whole Philippines That's why today, we are going to each one of them riding a motorcycle at the end of the video, each of us will share which we liked the most, so stay tuned! Let's start with the biggest and most popular, Sampaloc Lake I met with Mr and Mrs Scoopy in Petron Los Banos and then rode to San Pablo City to meet the rest of them. From here to San Pablo City boardwalk is around 18 kms How were the lakes formed? Between Mt. Makiling and Mt. Banahaw were hundreds of small volcanic eruptions and some of the craters became the 7 lakes that we will tour today. We'll meet the other here If they're already here We're here at Sampaloc Lake and here it is This is just behind the municipal hall There are people here jogging, walking, there are stalls around it I saw a signage, not sure if it's 3.7 or 4.7 kms one loop of this lake The Sampaloc lake has a surface area of 104 hectares It has a sidewalk where locals and visitors exercise According to legends, there's a couple who owns a sampaloc tree which bears the sweetest sampaloc One day, a beggar asked for help but they refused She turned out to be a fairy and punished them by flooding the area, which formed Sampaloc lake From then on, sampaloc (tamarind) became sour.
What is this floating structure in front of us? We attended the launching of this project and turnover from Rotary Club of San Pablo to Friends of Seven Lakes Foundation It's called the Floating Garden Filter It's a kind of green filter which has the main objectives of cleaning the water in the lake using plants to multiply fish, and lastly, become an area for relaxation Currently, there's a P10 fee to take a raft going to the site For now they say it's a proof of concept, but they plan to put more on other lakes if the project becomes successful We hope that more projects will be created that will protect our wetlands like lakes and rivers By the way, here are our companions They came from the farthest place. Where did you ride from? from the mountains of Mandaluyong I didn't know there were mountains there! Thank you again for joining Nothing can stop you We haven't buried the nails yet We hiked with them recently and her dead nails haven't been buried yet. It still hurts For those who don't know him yet, he accompanied me during my first ever ride and hike summit I made it, with no mishaps! He was supposed to be with us on the first summit but he had problems with his clutch, so he came very late he made it but only after the hike Now on time! The earliest in fact They will be joining us in this challenge It's embarrassing that I'm from here, from Los Banos actually, and I haven't done the 7 lakes challenge Today we're gonna show you, and here's our route or map Here's what we're going to do They are spread out but not too far from each other If you're going to do the challenge too, you can choose between clockwise or counterclockwise so it will be organized This is the order of our visit We want the Sampaloc lake to be the first which is down there Instead of making Bunot lake the last, we will make it the 2nd Because our goal is to finish at Yambo lake so we can eat and swim So that will be technically our last lake. Starting from Sampaloc, then Bunot lake on the right then we start the clockwise Actually, they are twin lakes as you can see. There's a viewpoint in the middle, not sure if you can cross to the next lake
It's up to you if you want to consider already done with Yambo lake when you visit Pandin but for us we want to visit it despite the long route going there You can also go rafting here, swim and eat Then after that we'll pass through Nagcarlan town, because they share the lake with San Pablo The last lake is Yambo where we will celebrate, swim and eat Then we will end the loop by going back to the starting point It's up to you which order, but that's what we are going to follow That's our route! You can copy it or make your own itinerary Does it sound nice? Do you want to rev your engine to match his? I thought the sound was coming from my scooter
