Most people think Amsterdam is all parties, red lights, and canals. But what happens when you bring your kids there? Be a little wooden tower where they used to hang people. We decided to find out. Hey everyone, we're in Amsterdam searching for something different. And we found it 300 ft above

the city, swinging over the edge of a rooftop at ADAM Lookout. But this trip isn't just about the adrenaline. We're on a mission to see if the Netherlands offers family-friendly accommodation in locations that make it easy to explore with kids. Is Amsterdam just for adults or a families missing something big? Let's find out. We stayed in a safari style glamping tent. We arrived late and had a bit of a panic setting up the bedding and warming up the space. The

park provided quilts and pillows, and the setting was beautiful. No private bathroom, though, so be ready to use the shared facilities. At night, the sky was crystal clear. Let's give you a quick

tour of the tent and the campsite. They do give you a little goodie box, which has This one's empty now cuz we've used it, but normally it has your washing liquid in there, a sponge, um a a bin bag, and another wipe, like a wash um sorry, a cloth type thing, a lintfree cloth. And then these are the beds. We've got a double bed here. with side lamp over there which is quite cool. Got a little uh wardrobe type

thing here and little chest storage. You've got two further storage here and you have got a fan for the summer when it gets very hot. As I said, we had the heater, electric heater, and we had the fridge freezer too. And then in in this side which is separated by cloth you have got a double bed and a single so you can sleep three children. And that is it guys. So thank you so much if you've stuck around and supported us up to this point. If you're enjoying the adventures don't forget to hit that subscribe button.

[Applause] So guys, I might as well take you for a quick walk around Marvilla Park in the Netherlands. Uh this one is called F Marin. And uh we'll show you on the drone later what the park is like. We are actually near I think we're in the north and there's a lot of waterways along here and uh yeah, lo loads of places to go boating. So, um, definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area and booking it. This is a Euro Camp

Park, by the way. And we'll tell you how much we paid at the end. So, I think this is Oh, just so you know, if you do want to wash clothes, you have got this here, wash.me. Obviously, you pay uh it's in Dutch, but uh you've got a washer and a dryer here as well. All digital, which is quite good. Okay. And this is

the swimming pool, swimming baths. Might as well go in and have a look. Oh, no, it's not the swimming baths, is it? This is your wash area. So, in there

are the toilets, female, and you have got a shower room as well. Again, these are the female ones. But, uh, yeah, it's quite clean. The the staff come in here every day throughout the day and clean the facilities. So, smells very good and it smells very clean. And

then I think this is the swimming pool. Yeah, that's a swimming pool. Let me show you guys inside. I don't know whether you've got to pay to go in, but uh this is it. So, you can see you've got a kid pool there, and over the other side, you've got an adult pool. So, there's not really

much to um in terms of the toys in the pool area. There isn't really much, but it's enough if you if you want to just go for a swim in the mornings, you can do very very quickly. And this area here is just uh like a park and they've got the little fountains here as well. So, if it's very hot, you can go in there and cool down.

Um, you've got climbing frames, small climbing frames. Uh, really the park is for smaller kids, I would say. But there is an area here. You've got that's the pool

and you've got a little uh area here that you can sit down and chill. And then you've got a little calf over there. You can buy food, little coffee, and just chill in the area whilst the kids play in the fountains and cool down, which is quite cool. If you're a parent, uh you'll love that because at least then you can just relax. Also, another

thing that I think you can do in this park is hire bikes. Oh, they've got kid clubs. So, I think the club opens at 10:00. [Music] Oh, it's a proper full on thing like a party. Hello. So, that's quite cool. So,

you've got a kid club there as well. You've got a ping pong ball uh table there. And you've got a big park over there, which I think leads down to the waterways. Um, and I think that's really it in terms of like your public facilities and stuff that you can do as a family. That is pretty much it. So, you can see here, I don't know if I'm pronouncing it right, but it's Fen is the name. And then you've got reception here, which uh is pretty cool.

All clean. Yep. So, I'm not sure if these are people's bikes or you've got or you can hire them. But, um, Holland is all about bikes. And they're not tied up or

anything, which is strange, but I think and I don't see anything around here which says that uh you've got to pay, but I assume you will. Okay. Obviously, you will need to pay for it. So, you'd go into reception and have a chat with them and let them know that you'd like to hire the [Applause] bikes. And that's it. And then this is

your recycle area. And then you've got the park in there, which will probably lead to the waterways. And then you got the other area over here, which is all um all the other lodges. So, we stayed in a in a tent and uh that was our first time in a tent and quite honestly it wasn't too bad. You know, it was a bit chilly at the night. Um I think it probably dropped to about maybe 4 or 3 or 4 in the night. Uh last night in particular,

it was a bit frosty. So yeah, it was I wouldn't say uncomfortable because we didn't really complain and it was it was good. You know, in the morning by the time the sun had come up, it was warm. The canvas warmed up and in inside the tent was very warm. So oop, sorry. There you go. There you go. Uh so yeah so we didn't have any problems at all in terms of um the heat or the cold. Did you guys were you guys

okay in the tent? Okay. Yeah. Did you feel okay? Cold when you come in a little bit cold when we came in. Yeah. What about the night time in the night when you were sleeping? Was it comfortable? Yeah. Warm. Okay. So another thing that they gave us was a heater like an electric heater and it kept the place okay. We had our own smaller heater as well that we plugged in. You have got electric, you have got lights. It's more glamping than camping.

So, you really haven't got much to worry about. Even if it's your first time doing uh even if it's your first time doing um a camping holiday, look at it as glamping pretty much. It it really isn't that um it really isn't that um uh yeah that hands-on in terms of camping. You really don't need to bring

anything. You've got your cutlery. You've got the forks. Hi. Uh you've got your plate. We're leaving in a minute. We'll be leaving in a minute. Um when we go, do we just leave the um keys at the reception or just leave it on the table there? No, you leave your key on reception and then you go this way and the gate open. This this way. Yeah.

Brilliant. Okay. Thank you very much. All right. Thanks. And that is it. That is the park. You know, it's um very um it's

very nice. It's very clean. It's very child friendly, familyfriendly, and there's loads to do around here. Loads to do around here. Especially if you're into boating. There's loads and loads of water. And

yeah, you know, we've thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed two nights. And for the two nights we paid £77. So you can see very cost effective too. As I said that's for the tent. And yeah I think for the uh lodges we could have done the comfort XL and that would have been £124 which isn't that much different. But for us we'd never done camping before. or we want to give it a try. Really wanted to see if we're going to carry on doing camping. Um, and if it's for us

and that is a good way of getting in and seeing if camping is for you. So, that is it guys. We're going to leave you now and we'll see you at our next destination. Oh, and by the way, you have got a fridge which is what Ava just bought to me. Her bottle which is

frozen. You got a fridge freezer in there which is brilliant. I might as well actually show you inside the tent. Chris is just like packing the car up. I

think they want us out now. Oh, nice. That um my girl just stopped to ask him when we're going. Yeah. Oh, no. Come and clean it. Yeah. So, she knows you're gone. Okay. So, apologies for the mess, but

coming into the tent, you have got a barbecue. Pretty pretty new. This is it here. And um you've got a kind of like a kitchen unit with a falling hob. Uh calagas. They give you a kettle.

Uh so in here you've got pots. Got a coffee thing. Got a few pots under there. got a frying

pan in here. You've got everything to get you started. Uh then in here you've got After checking out our campsite, we drove 1.5 hours to Amsterdam and made Adam Tower our first stop. After taking our photos at the entrance, we headed into the lift. And that was like a spaceship. When you look up and

it started, that's when the adventure began. [Music] I don't know what else. We started off with a virtual roller coaster ride inside Adam Lookout, a wild experience the whole family loved before heading to the rooftop for the famous over the edge swing. Yeah, definitely. Definitely. Yeah, we're definitely going. Well, we're

going again. The girls feel a bit things to do. Just a lot of stuff. Yeah. Probably tiredness as well cuz we've been up very early. Really good. So, first things try and it's really good. Yeah. Oh, I gave you the tickets, right? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Right. So, where's to

the next? Is it around there? No. leg. Oh, after leaving the virtual roller coaster, we made our way to the swing, and that's where you saw the whole city whilst swinging. Before we headed there though, we looked outside the window and oh my words, the view was stunning. You could see Amsterdam River out the window and you can see the whole city from the space. It was just the most amazing view that we have seen of Amsterdam ever. And it was sunsetting as

well. So that was just like the perfect moment to see that. So here we were, the moment of truth. Honestly, whilst

looking at the swing, there was no fear there at all. The moment the fear kicked in was when you were just being elevated up above the city and then you started to swing. Quite honestly, there is no other feeling like it. You are swinging

over the city and as you go you're just seeing the views and the land, the building disappears from beyond your feet and it's as if you're just like elevated in the air which you are and you're just swinging through the air above the city. It's the most amazing experience. [Music] Elaine, look out. That's what it's called.

Uh, so there used to be a little wooden tower where they used to hang people. I did not know that. You were just hanging and I was just hanging.

I told her to look out. Oh, it was amazing. It was amazing. What would you give it out of 10? 10. Definitely 10. 10. Yeah. 10. 10. Today you've learned a bit of history about people getting so you've learned a bit of history about this tower in Amsterdam and uh well you've seen some stuff that you can do here the family and I think it's quite cool you know as a family getting about and doing things I don't think generally people put family activities to um doing stuff in Amsterdam right whereas Yeah.

You don't really think family when you think Amsterdam. It used to be um the cannabis shops etc. the smoking um holiday. Yeah, true. But obviously um it's it's got so much more than that. And obviously the red light district. Yes, of course. That was something which

normally talk about still happening but there's so much more to do for families and people are not interested in that stuff. One of those things to do for families is this. So the family activity that you can come and do is the swing hanging over the edge. You can see those

guys there doing just behind me literally swinging over the edge. And um yeah, headset. And if you want to get it's very accessible. You can come to

Central Station and get a free um boat across and it takes you across to a dam literally outside. Yeah. And from there there's loads of restaurants and bars around there. I've always wondered why they did a free boat. Is it just It's subsidized by the government. Okay. By the king. I don't know. By the way,

tomorrow is kids day and we're going to miss it. So, listen, we're going to show you as much footage as we can. Obviously, going forward tomorrow, we've got a fun-p packed day for the family, for us, and activities for you guys to do. And uh yeah, just stay tuned. And uh don't forget to hit that subscribe button. Let us know what you're thinking and how you feel these activities went.

And yeah, would you ever visit Amsterdam for a family activity? 100%. Anyway, you would just have a walk around to the sunset. [Music] [Music] As our day came to an end at Adam, we looked over to Amsterdam and saw that we could take a free ferry over the that we could take a free ferry over the river.

So that's exactly what we decided to do. Before doing that, we took some quick photos because this is our first time on the actual tower. And so, with the view being what it was behind us, there was no way we were going to leave here without taking some photos. Don't

forget, if you do want to see those photos, you can check out our Instagram and our Tik Tok. And then there you go. You can see all of your photos and you can pick three for £25. And that's it, guys. So, we are concluding our trip at a dam. Now, uh we're going to probably take you guys over on the free ferry across to the dam. Yeah. I think that's it. Is the dam,

right? Hamstone. I think it's still the dam. The dam. Yeah, we go to the dam. Damn. Dam.

So yeah, we're here. Next step is um Well, we're going to be here for a little while for probably for a day. For today. Oh, no. No. For today, it's just food. We need food. We're traveling all day. What's the next step?

Food. Food isn't the next step. We're starving. But we don't we don't know about getting food in Central. Uh we just want something like you see that? Yeah. Yeah. And then boom in 5 minutes you are there. Cool. Whatever you want to do. Cool.

First time. No. No. No. No. We've come here to go. Yeah. But the kids first time. So it's first time. Yeah. For the kids. Where's good Chinese? Wow. Uh or the name then I can find it on Google. if

you know one. About Chinese in Amsterdam. I have no idea. Very hard to find. Okay. Very hard to find. Uh I know Indonesian food or things like this, but similar Indonesia. Oh, okay.

It probably out of town more better. Ah, to be honest, never speak it loud and touch people. [Laughter] You know that, right? No. No. Fre all of that. What's the traditional What's the traditional meal here then? Wow. Three

candles. Some kind of always crunchy. Uh, okay. Cheese. Cheese? No, not really. Cheese is good to be honest. Steaks also. But all these things they

are trying to prove that they have some kind of you know they own food right right I will have to put it to the test I think I don't you should watch our YouTube channel you should watch our YouTube channel you watch YouTube oh sometimes YouTube yeah you should watch our videos we travel around the world you are doing this yeah Yeah. Yeah. We don't I then we travel around and meet meet people. Then you all need to send me a link. Definitely. Lovely. Yeah. Use your video. So overall um yeah I wouldn't eat anything here like tasty ones. Um then steaks. Yeah. Cheese. Okay. Cheese.

Yeah. They are good. Okay. Um, and to be honest, that's all. Not much. Not much.

And the funny thing is, um, but that can really make Dutch people angry. I think we have Oh, yeah. Come, guys. [Music] They got snatched back.

[Music] The thing is that other way best place have a look at have a look at the sign over there out the way so the bikes can come on the best views are always there of America So this ferry is free. If uh you want to go from one side of Amsterdam to the other, it's totally free. It gets very busy. And this one's going to Central Station. You can see so much people use this and I think they use it for daily commute as well. So um it's worth even if you are

just visiting Amsterdam just jump on the ferry and go over to Central and see what's there because it's worth it even if you know you don't have a purpose for it really. It's good. It's quick. to the [Music] UK. And that's where we were up there. So that is Adam over there. And those are strings up the top there. That's where we just read it. I wonder what that triplet stands for.

Anyway, in fact, it's not a triplet. XXX [Music] people. People in the UK, they don't like it.

It's UK like when we went to London I was like yeah I don't think I ever actually ever been to I was like looks like a Hey depressing architecture if you're YouTube I can show you is that restaurant supposed to be like a place I really don't know what it's supposed to be but no you haven't and what's your name okay have you got my mother no worries no worries nice to meet Lane. Chris, you are He looks Dutch now. 13. 13 years old. Wa. And he's as tall as you. You can be

silhou. All right. with the Greenland the cell. You're going to do definitely like Oh, wow. [Music] Definitely lovely. Thank you for perfect parents. Hi.

Sh. Thank you. Take care. Bye-bye. What do you think? Um, well, we've got to You don't get nothing cheap over here. Give it a shot. I know. Like you said, we need to get one of those. Huh? Did you see the car going on? I know.

Yeah. Yeah. Remember? Yeah. You remember? Yeah. They're probably cars. Need to get a gang one of those. We need to go back over now. Yeah. Because we're not really going to You can drive them at a young age, I think. Oh, this another one.

Wow. It's crazy the stuff that go on this thing. Got little piles. Um so, um you definitely don't want to go for sports and come back. No. Huh? Hey,

Vanessa. Unless come. Wait till the next boat. Come back. Yeah. Come then. Come on then. Have we got time? I don't know. What time is it? What time did we 9:22? Did you say? Yeah. Is it 9? No. Go back. We come. It's 8. No, no, no. It's 8:57 now. Oh, yeah. Got 9 something. Yeah.

One day, huh? food my not rubbish right let's see what's in what's in central what's a proper like smaller place where you can get proper food not manufactur we'll have a look in there let's give a bit let's have a look I don't know what it's going to be but we can certainly have a look I guess I I will look patient I'll pay oh to go to that no way and you know what as well it's It's a novelty. Yeah. Why? What's going

on with the blackness in there? But I feel that's right in it. Oh, yeah. I guess it's all about urban culture. I think so. What were you saying about insane? I don't know about from here though. Should we get some chips from there? Massive. Should we go upstairs as well? Do you want to see how much chips he's got? Even if it's just for now. Yeah,

in here is massive, guys. And look at that. Awesome. We're not going to walk through here today. It is going to be way, way too busy. Yeah, my place is going to be ripped. I can I don't know what it's

going to be. First place you come in here and see. It's going to be ripped. Yeah, I know. I can imagine the prices in here. I don't know. Another thing, we

used to stay in a hotel called the Botel and I don't know if it's still here. 375, but it's small. Oh, right. Okay. I knew it. Yeah. You need to find a prop down a little bit and come back and then get on. You need to find a proper like

takeaway thing. Yeah, that's what you need. Yeah. It's going to be all scam. One free a small little tray. Literally little flat mat tricks in it. Yeah. I'll

tell you get two each with nothing left. Yeah. No, I'm not walking all the way down. We're just going to I think you walk down and turn less and come back out. All right. If we're in the Oh, do

anything for the place to eat any munchies. Yeah, maybe. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. What we got here? None. It doesn't look like No. Yeah, there must be a pet market. Oh, yeah. Here.

Yeah, there will be. Yes, it's going to be Do you need anything for the morning or whatever? I'm just seeing if there's anything in there for now cuz just to cuz these are seem like they're hungry or not seem they are definitely hungry but it might be ripped. I don't know. Let's see. There are a lot of people in here. Oh man. Everything over here is not the prop 50.

What I need is like a bag of crisps or something or or biscuits or biscuits for things. Look how heavy it is. Feel it. It's really good. Yeah. Yeah. But what do you guys want? We hopped on the free ferry across the Amsterdam River into Central. It was

buzzing and definitely worth a sensory overload for the kids in a good way. So, when do you stop? So, is Amsterdam for grown-ups or is it a hidden gems for the adventurous families? Drop your thoughts in the comments. No, they don't. the boat. Go. It should make it so they stop. Oh

my god. Sorry. The bikes you're gone. I know. Oh, look at the water. It looks nice in

the inside. I know. Took a chance on a good day. Now I got you on my right way. Casual. You text me in the morning.

You're in my head. Am I dreaming? Can't believe I got this feeling. Finally found the one in my life that I want to see. We grabbed snacks, explored a little more of the city, and now we're gearing up for next week's adventure. Still in

Netherlands, but with a twist. Thank you so much for watching Boat Car Adventures. Hit that like, subscribe, and we'll see you next week. [Music] No words to describe the blue.
