4.3 percent have stopped their operations completely in addition over 69 percent have not even adopted any form of e-commerce or transformed their businesses online meantime the banco central and philippines recently shared that business sentiments are improving this 2021 despite these challenges the confidence index in the dsp's this is expectation survey for the first quarter of 2021 rose to 17.4 percent from 10.6 percent by 2020 this year in

the optimism comes from the reopening of businesses despite the restrictions anticipating the covet 19 vaccine rollout and the development of new business and marketing strategies that could make their businesses more resilient this shows the unbreakable spirit of our amazonies filipino entrepreneurs are finding ways to survive and come up stronger despite the overwhelming challenges this resilient is also reflected in the number of new startups the pandemic brought about with the rise of new business permit applications a day as well as an increase in new business name registrations per day compared to the same period last year our filipino msnes continue to be brave and hustled despite the difficult times ahead truly remarkable and unbreakable so for our e-bossing session this virtual audience in today's unbreakable tuesdays webinar series over the past year we've seen how our micro smds were some of the first businesses to quickly pivot to digital technology in response to the new normal of the phobia 19 pandemic many micro smes took to social media websites e-commerce platforms and contactless payments which resulted in innovative digital marketing campaigns in sales and the capturing of a wider and more relevant audience since the start of this year business registration of online businesses has grown to more than nine thousand last year also saw a significant increase especially during the lockdown increasing the number of online sellers that registered their business names climbing to more than 88 000 as compared to around 6 000 the previous year this is a clear indication of filipino resilience as many of our people adapted to the challenging times as with any major transformations in the business landscape this move towards digitalization is not without its set of unique problems and obstacles added financial pressures drastic changes in work and arrangements and limited movement and accessibility are just some of the issues present these challenges are then made severe by the present fantastic however more and more viable technological solutions have emerged to meet the demands for change these solutions address various pain points in business operations particularly in areas like logistics payments digital marketing and more we believe that for every msme out there that is facing these challenges to shift to digital there is a digital solution designed to meet their particular needs that's why we would like to thank our private sector partners for helping us find and implement the proper digital solutions to aid our micro sms last may 2020 pldt joined the dti in our control plus b's reboot now program where they discussed how micro smbs can adjust during the pandemic and take control of their businesses with the help of digital technology since then this program has evolved to cover more in-depth and nuanced topics in e-commerce and thanks to our enabling partners in particular our control class is reboot now needs in line with our recently updated e-commerce philippines 2022 roadmap dti continues to implement other digitalization programs to help our micro smes for example we have the this pivot embrace technology project which would upskill and re-skill workers to support ecommerce growth likewise we've been continuously conducting webinars and training on e-commerce repayment and digital marketing on different online platforms this in turn would enable the digital transformation of micro smgs as a whole micro smes comprising more than 99 of business enterprises in the philippines their digitalization is our top priority based on our roadmap our goal is to raise e-commerce's uh 3.4 contribution to the economy in 2020 to 4.3 by 2021 and 5.5 by 2022. we also plan to increase the number of e-commerce enterprise from 500 000 in 2020 to 750 000 by 2021 and up to 1 million by 2022 through the roadmap we plan to make e-commerce mandalay which is about making it easy for those doing business and for consumers madalee reminds us of our priorities and it stands for market access digitalization and logistics integration manali this also fulfills the directive president rodrigo robert duterte gave during his state of the nation address last year to ddi and other government agencies to promote the growth of e-commerce in the country to conclude by empowering our micro smes with the latest digital solutions we can ensure that no business gets left behind in doing so we can create decent jobs and employment to our or for our people which would give them a more comfortable and greater quality of life again we welcome everyone to today's pldt session and we hope that you will be able to take away valuable and meaningful insights to our virtual audience we hope you'll learn how to maximize digital solutions to become resilient which would provide you with the opportunity to become successful even with the present thank you sec mon and now let me introduce our first and plastic and the potential combination of these materials in 2009 he started his apprenticeship under philippine architecture and the sign legend mr antonio buji layuk who helped joseph discover his unique selling point as an artist and to this day remains to be his longtime mentor in 2012 he pursued his masters in business design at domus academy where he met and learned from domenico dolce design to create a mutually beneficial system upon his return to the philippines he was recognized as one of the featured designers of the department of trade and industries center for international tradex positions and missions more popularly known as ctem he was also part of manila famed design anthology hong kong's 100 emerging designers of asia home review magazine india's designer of the month and a design star of singapore's international furniture fair he is currently the industrial designed business track head of the de la salle university college of st benilde please join me in welcoming doblezeta industrial designer and jci manila 2021 director of business and development joseph gonzalez direct joseph juan hashtag unbreakable morning to you the virtual floor is yours thanks gaija hi can everyone see me all right yes we can let me share my screen okay let me pull this out all right so hi um thanks for attending today so um i'm joseph gonzalez but um in the design industry i use trastrullo so um interesting it's because well some of the mentors i met in manila fame were telling me that you know jose gonzalez is a nice name but it's too common and to explain to all my friends watching the reason why i use restrudo is if you google joseph gonzalez so many people come out but apparently if you google joseph russerullo it's easier for me to find so in a way it's sort of um a tip on how to get your business started online um try to figure out what names you can actually put in the search engines that can actually pop out quicker so in a way this helps you pay less in your exposure online but i'm only going to talk about a bit about my profession because as you can see in the screen um i'll be talking about something we call project annie project annie is a um e-commerce platform it's technically a system that provides support to our indigenous people partners in the philippines so we we do plan to reach out to every partner we have nationwide now this is a project under jc manila in support supported by pldt smart foundation first pacific pldt enterprise pay my union bank global linker and of course the other partners that have been very helpful for the past two years also the ncip the ncca the dod miss earth has also been involved um some of their winners have been helping us promote our advocacy so jumping to it um i'm not gonna lecture you though on the importance of um nation building or or or having an advocacy but i guess why did we start this um project annie especially battling battling through it in a pandemic no so the key the key areas that i want to discuss is you may have been inspired at a certain point of your life but then what do you do from that point of inspiration first the inspiration may die down always on the first day or the second day maybe it might even last for a week but i guess what keeps your motivation unlimited is when you find purpose in what you're doing when you find purpose i guess for me i end up battling certain challenges just because i know i'm serving a purpose just because i know that my advocacy my project my responsibility or wherever god placed me in has this potential to really change people and the reason why the in the first page i talked about nation building is because that's that's what i've been always after ever since we ever since we started the company and the reason why i joined jc in manila is because we're very focused on nation building and nation building is not only for entrepreneurs but it's for everybody who has potential to contribute to our country then after that when you find your purpose then you plan out your action points so those are just the three things i'm going to share and how we brought about project annie with these three um with these three um steps in mind but before that so um i'm a designer and most of the time if you're a designer an artist no one really relates you or or expects you to be a businessman that's the reason why i went abroad to study and see how italy or in my school domus academy they had this brand called made in italy that every brand they're always they're always proud of having something made in italy so part of me is like philippines so how can we actually have that same branding that when we start exporting and promoting our filipino products that we can share that filipino quality filipino ideas filipino creations are top of the line though um a few years back and i and i believe it's still up to now that we are technically the design capital of asia because as i've traveled around asia people always salute the philippines in terms of its creations though we're not cheap compared to our neighboring countries but the ideas the creations that we have here are top of the line and a part of what we are sharing in manila fame with saitam helping us in ddi's item helping us we do have our advocacies that we we try to push and we try to train different areas in the countries know on how we can improve our craft and that's what we're channeling right now in jc and manila with project annie but before i even jump into it i just want to show you a really short video on how my story with project annie started this booth is a part of the redbox group of designers and my booth is under the theme called rocolta or harvest in english my team is called rocalta and i was inspired by the banowi rice terraces it's funny because um when i decide i actually immerse myself first with the with the location then for some reason i ended up loving banawi so much i came back twice that i ended up using it using it as my designs as you can see if you see my designs here they're pretty much inspired by the mountains of malawi with the different levels of the rice terraces [Music] yeah that video wasn't too long ago but definitely um i guess the pressure of work really changes how he looked like when he got older especially the weight gain but yeah that was in manila fame um when i design i normally immerse myself into the locations before i start the signing and i get to know i get to know the locals i get to know everyone there and that's the reason why i ended up um creating my works out of nature and through that i did meet certain community certain people um it started out in banawe then eventually we did start expanding to zambales then i realized that me myself or just myself doing all of this though i want to help out how do i channel it greater and collaboration is very important important so when i found purpose in this i needed to be very strategic joining jc manila is a channel to help me expand my support to um the different craftsmen to the different indigenous people we have um so when if you do it alone yes you can create a rip you can create a ripple but then when you join different organized organizations and when you tap into help from like pldt paymay a dti um your help and support that you can actually reach out to different people will become like waves and though the journey was very slow it was still in my heart to do this i knew that if i wanted to live in a better country i needed to start influencing people around me to be better i'm not saying that i'm better than them i'm not saying that they're better than me but the point is we're all working together and that's very important for nation building we have to we have to um recognize each other's strengths and we have to see how we can support each other now jumping into project annie um in 2020 we realized that there was a disconnect from the consumers um all the way down to our ip distributors just because one when we had their nationwide lockdown um the the their logistics their transportation their trade was halted now we were thinking that how do we continue to help them trade in a safer way we wanted to bridge the gap between our indigenous people partners and the consumers we wanted also a safer process of trade especially that since no one can really travel too far especially now that we're still a bit iffy even though some have been vaccinated so how do we do this we created the platform that we can provide um the logistics in certain areas that would um that trade and distribution would be safer we provided them awareness online and we wanted to connect them to the right people so at least even in certain trades if you understand dealing with ips or always concern this like they're going to say sir um so a part of our advocacy project annie is sega how do we help them how do we connect them how do we expose them and how do we even um retain their cultural traditions and this is where project annie came in creating that e-commerce platform giving them trainings and establishing locations where they can actually trade better and and in terms of access they have key points already for deliveries some of the things that were really popular for project annie was the textiles that we have nationwide this is in the support of the ncca but we don't only stop there we also have coffee beans we also have strawberry jam we have turmeric uh you'll see that later on i've prepared a summary for everything that we've been doing with project annie now besides gathering the products no from our actions we can't just keep on buying or we can't just um promote their products without really telling their stories one key point was we needed a location um that we can gather everyone and continue to train them and probably even store their products so we created our first trading center last year in capanueva and we continued to train our ip partners there we've trained them already in financial literacy basic accounting online selling so it would be amazing when we start launching this i i believe we're going to have this by the end of the month or even early august can you imagine that our indigenous people partners can now be available online they are now selling their products online and la luna like the most exciting part for me is they will be the ones live selling so if you see like shoppertainment lazada shoppie if you see some of their videos of celebrities doing live selling selena naman this is their time to do it so i believe that if they can do it what about us who have been immersed with technology for so long maybe some of you might be asking though okay what are your platforms yes we have facebook yes we have instagram but we wanted to strengthen um their identity so we created a website for them supported by global linker union bank global linker um this isn't this is not only an area where we can trade like any other e-commerce platform though but global link has a huge network of um of buyers and and you can trade there so slowly we're gonna get them in slowly we're going to train them so that they can be independent and handle this on their own maybe some of you might be asking okay um you have the locations you have the trainings you have um the platform but how are you going to reach out nationwide especially in certain locations that probably they don't even have access to technology this is the reason why i'm talking about collaboration so much with the help of global linker with the help of our different government agencies and especially with the help of first pacific pldt smart foundation pldt enterprise and paymaya they provided us so much support they provided us with support that we can build our trading centers they provided us support that we can start training them but the most important thing is because of the division of the pandemic that we can't really see each other physically all the time they have also donated pocket wi-fi's that we can now share to our ip partners nationwide that they will be connected for the next two years also even more because we can renew these contracts so these are sponsored by pldt so there is no excuse to the trainings that we can give them and we will be there to continue to guide them until they become independent and they can start trading on their own and this is the core i believe with nation building and if you're going to ask me i'm in the start um i am a part of the lasalle college of saint beneal because i believe that one of the key areas of nation building besides collaboration is still education we need to educate and train our partners in the right way so that we can we can actually teach them the right principles and lay their foundation and being the right entrepreneurs employees or even um how do you put this participants and not spectators players actually in the game now before i end i'd like to share a short video of what we just did last week um for our training on online selling for our ip partners we are here at capentalan karanglanov where 85 of its population is composed of the kalamuya tribe and some of the some of it is composed of the igorot tribe [Music] welcome and ginger tea this is a perfect place to help the ips because the kalanghuya tribe here is making products like dry turmeric ginger coffee and many more but during the pandemic they really had a hard time selling so we wanted to bring it online so it will be visible to more people all around the philippines maybe all around the world business university [Music] the ip business university led by chairman jesse helendoni was able to conduct online trainings with ips with the help of pldt smart foundation and other sponsors as they had given away pocket wifis to different ip communities [Music] you [Music] facebook live [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] filipino [Music] my pandemic [Music] [Music] [Music] happy so to be unbreakable especially this is our last episode for this series um just remember you may be inspired you may um you may be going through different challenges but in the end of the day out of the three in order to be sustainable in order to be to be unbreakable just remember in everything that you do what purpose you have and always in the end i i always look back at this and say and check well it's in proverbs many are the plants in a man's heart but it's a lord's purpose that prevails so continue to pray continue to rely on god and find that purpose that he's given you it just connects and everything after that will be a blessing okay thank you thank you very much direct joseph for that very wonderful talk and uh truly indeed find your wise and it gives you your house um and of course congratulations as well to project annie you know it's been a very wonderful project and i'm glad to see how it's been all right um i just wanted consumer goods industry vertical before moving on to banking and financial services she was a graduate of the de la salle university where she got both her undergraduate and master's degree please welcome please join me in welcoming the vice president and partnership lead for union bank global linker please welcome on screen joanna joy yapchua roana one unbreakable morning to you the virtual floor is yours opie thanks so much for that wonderful introduction good morning everyone thanks for having me uh i'm so happy to be uh sharing uh what uh we're doing in uh globallinker a while ago joseph gave us a very brief uh introduction or background of what we do in global linker joseph thank you for that thank you for promoting our platform so yes um my name is rawanashua i'm from union bank uh we we're the corporate issuer of uh global linker so where we uh franchised it from uh a team in india called digivation we started last 2018 um and it was transferred it was it was that time handled by another group and it was transferred to our group um customer experience group uh only last 2019 just in time for pandemic right so you know when uh when the pandemic happened uh this platform couldn't be more appropriate because everyone's going online everyone's going digital so globallinker is an international name uh we have a network of currently about 300 000 uh msmes worldwide right uh next slide please um here in manila we have around uh 54 000 msmes onboarded so what do we do in globallink all right so globallinker is an online platform uh it's a cross between facebook and shopify and linkedin uh facebook because uh it gives you the chance to connect with each other network with each other right shopify because we have a marketplace uh later i'll discuss what we did for uh jci manila and uh linkedin because you will know a lot of suppliers uh you know uh clients who may benefit your group or your business that you're in so um with the platform you know an msme yes as i've mentioned you can connect with suppliers with customers their exclusive offers that are only available inside the platform uh as a way uh to entice uh more msmbs to onboard with us uh we have events we have a lot of articles under the knowledge section and uh more importantly uh the highlight of the platform is we give a free i cannot emphasize this enough this is a free um do-it-yourself diy um online store uh next please thank you okay so um we build network right with global linker you can build networks you can you can connect to markets uh there are currently 1 200 online stores right uh we you can create opportunities for growth we give you the chance to digitize your business it's a one-stop hub for all the msmes and uh of course it will enable uh your your your business to pivot into the especially during this time pandemic we given for a free online store we give your free uh network or your free community offer um which will enable you to you know uh network with each other uh announce uh your events uh promotions um job openings job all all kinds of news that you want to you you want to announce right um yes next please so yeah we have uh currently more than 300 000 members globally here in manila in the philippines union banks the corporate issuer in other countries uh the other these are the banks that are carrying uh the global linker platform thank you for that next please yep so um this slide uh shows you the partners that we have as you can see here we have dti we have go local uh we have uh jci and all the other uh partners inside uh no sign up is very easy and it's for free all you have to do is just log on to www.unionbank.globallinker.com

thank you next please okay so what are the capabilities or what are the functions or what can you do what are the benefits of of on boarding with us in global linker again the sign up page is just log on to unionbank.globallinker.com signup is for free and with that membership right you can um i'll discuss very briefly the tabs here we have a knowledge tab wherein we share articles relating to anything anything and it can it can be about economy it can be about pandemic it can be about um knowledge about uh how to pivot your business how to cope uh during this time it can be about the government in general right so we have that knowledge section we have the listings it's a marketplace this is this is the part that is like shopify where you can list your products for sale we have the offers page where we feature a lot of we feature a lot of um partners who may benefit the msme right so for example if you're a small business owner you're looking for a payroll solution there's alarium and then there's uh if you're looking for um off uh for a healthcare there's medicard right so that's all under the offers page and then uh we give you the chance to own your own online store under the linker linker store tab the groups page this is where we get we give you a chance to connect with each other we build a community a network for you and then you can announce your events there you can announce uh job promotions you can you can put up surveys polls that's under the groups page events uh you just give us your banner we can announce whatever um whatever event you have it's for free we give your own register button also um banking solutions of course um you know a lot of merchants a lot of members are asking so what's in it for union bank you're giving this for free right so we we don't even require but we encourage members uh marketplaces online stores groups to open um at least a tracking or savings account and help the union bank uh business also right so thank you next please so yeah this is this is uh very briefly uh this is how the slides look like the the the left slide that's the knowledge section right so these are shares shared by members uh global linker staff um anyone can just share whatever articles that interests them right the group section here on the right uh it gives you a chance to phone your phone your own group form your own community at the same time you can also connect with other groups right so for example you're a restaurant owner you can join the food and beverage group right um yeah next please listings are the one on the left again we give you a chance to to uh to um post whatever you're selling whether it's uh it's a product it's a service right there you're all welcome to post it under the listings tab events this is the part where i said you i mentioned you can give us your banner we will post your events for free yep thank you next please uh offers uh these are some of the partners that are currently uh featured in their offers page so sit in uh it's uh sydney is our sister company so if you're a business owner you need the loan uh sit in gives you very it gives uh fast approval right and the other logos uh they they represent the companies the certain word in our offers page banking solutions if you want to open an account apply for a credit card check out our insurance products you can do it under the banking solutions page thank you next please so yeah relevancy content so these are the webinars we gave during the pandemic right so um these these happened last year right we have uh we have a lot of relevant uh uh topics uh all related to pandemic how to cope right how to pivot your businesses uh we give uh um webinars related to businesses also like uh data privacy taxes right and all the relevant contents you can find these all in our events page next please okay yeah so these are uh groups that we formed so for example you can see the the poster here below project luca it's a group it gives free cons free accounting consultation for msme so yeah all you have to do again is just to log on to our platform and avail of the free services given by these groups yep thank you next please okay yeah uh so affinity partnership program this is something we did for gci manila which uh i will show you the the the community we build for them uh later on we can uh we we do this for free this is our way of giving back to the msme so that they have a chance to um you know form their own community and to network with each other thank you next please yep these are more uh collaborations groups we did for dti yep thank you and uh okay this is something that we plan to do uh uh we plan to embed a supply chain into our platform such as for example if you're a coffee shop owner and you want to order uh coffee beans right you don't have to manually call your supplier we can onboard them uh inside the store via the supply chain function so that everything happens digitally when you will order uh the message will be sent to your supplier they will be prompted and the and the um delivery will happen digitally similarly fulfillment uh we also have payment um and uh logistics partners inside the platform so that fulfillment happens inside the store also yep thank you thanks please yeah so this is this is the one uh the e-commerce platform right so uh watch out for this uh feature very soon we want everything to happen inside right so the ordering delivery payment delivery everything happens inside our marketplace in globallinker okay next please yep so that very briefly uh is what globallinker is all about it's actually about really giving back to the community helping the msms grow their businesses so um rent if i may trouble you to just uh uh share the link uh that i sent a while ago okay so this is the marketplace i we created for jci manila um very soon we will go live so here as you can see that there there are this is a link or store this is a marketplace and you will see yeah if you scroll it down you will see here zaga nazigan is also one of our partners uh here these are all the members of jci right so we onboarded them uh we're very excited uh with this partnership hoping that this will be live soon so that we all um this this is their marketplace we can all uh you know you know connect with each other network hopefully help the third e-bossing coach please join me in welcoming our third coach from pay maya msmes the ecosystem and business development lead please welcome on screen sir nick marhomsar good morning the virtual floor all right that'll be good morning let me just share my screen good morning everyone hold on there you go can everyone see my screen yes yes all right so for this morning i would like to present the abcs of business as usual to a business unusual to business as usual so in the last years i'm sure businesses had to adapt to a lot of new things um unfamiliar territories which now that we're getting some sense of normalcy will be part of their bau so first off i'll start with who we are for everyone's appreciation um we are the leading philippine partner for safe and secure payments both online and face-to-face so we enable our merchants to accept all types of payments visa mastercard and all other e-wallets and pretty soon we'll be coming out with qrp so i'm sure during this pandemic everyone has been familiar with all types of keywords that they've seen in the cashiers eventually with the help of bsp and the other participating financial institutions this should be lessened um wherein one qr provider can accept payments from different financial institutions we are also the largest digital financial services platforms in the philippines that means on the consumer side um we are able to serve the bank under bank and the unbanked at the same time servicing the enterprise side from large enterprises governments all the way to the msmes so we're the number one largest non-bank payment processors and we also have 4 000 agent networks which are are smart padala i believe we have a 92 penetration rate across the country so moving to the paymaya app for the consumer side it's our fastest way to own a financial account it's safe and convenient for everyday use and for everyday user everyday transactions on top of that it enables our users to do bank transfers and money to other pay my accounts pay bills by load among other things on the enterprise side we aim to be uh we are the one-stop shop for all payment leads across on-ground online larger msme so in this chart we were able to simplify the solutions we have whether whatever type of merchant you are so for msmes for both offline and online we have the paymaya negotia app we have plugins we also have the pmi1 lite and the paymaya static qr and for the large enterprises we have our payment gateway pay with paymaya we have the paymaya one as well as premia qr static so as mentioned earlier we also have our padala agent or our agent network so what msmes need to do here is just download the app to become a pmi center or negotia agent this this will enable them to start processing or accepting bills payment airtime load essentially to sum this all up it's a way for you to add revenue to your existing business so now we move to wide digitized payments in summary it's we can break it down to three so you digitize to go online to expand your business to penetrate the hyper local community e-commerce which i'll get into later i believe we've all experienced this in some sort of and lastly accept all forms of payments so the first one is to expand your business online now i know for most when you hear that phrase expand your business online i have to make a website i don't know how to do that i don't know anyone who has to do oh who can do that or if i can why would i spend money to have a website built for my business i consider myself rather small or you just really don't see the need for it but aside from a website going online can be as simple as posting your products or goods or services on your social media platform it's as easy as creating a facebook page an instagram page joining a viper group where you can present your business the second one the one i mentioned earlier hyper local community and e-commerce so these are the area specific community groups mostly inside facebook so especially during the peak of the pandemic a lot of people were able to travel outside of their own city so these types of channels started popping up so whether it be the mandaluyong emergency public service for the gig for paranyake sometimes it can go as small as even within your own village people are already creating groups where merchants or businesses can start posting and sharing their businesses and that's another then that's another channel for you to gain customers lastly is accept all forms of payment so now more than ever i think this is a must for people for merchants specifically since a lot of people are afraid to go out and if they do go out they try to make it as much as possible now just one stop or not to make it a multiple stop meaning they aren't able to withdraw as much a lot of people are using digital payments cards and other forms of payments other than cash now we move on to the abc's solutions so now we understand merchants want to accept payments from all customers as mentioned earlier we know you want to manage cash flow and working capital as well as increase sales and visibility so the abc building blocks of the digital businesses focus on the merchant side so for us it's not really abcs although we just use abc since it's this simplest way to communicate it but it's actually three c's so first one is connectivity access all the time so for this one i believe we have the best partner here with us it's pldt to make sure your businesses are always connected to make sure you never lose a sale commerce e-commerce and all channels and logistics check out which means payments of all types so we've broken down the types of businesses into three segments the first one is basic so as mentioned earlier these are the businesses that are in chat groups any forms of group pages personal wall messenger instagram viper whatever social media platform is being used right now i'm sure most merchants have taken advantage of it to showcase or to promote their business so for this we have paymaya negotia so this enables you to accept cashless payments with the qr inside the app you can make bank transfers to your bank account by in an instant and enjoy more services available soon so like table sell load smart pedal remittance as mentioned earlier and add money to their pay my wallets so it's really us helping you grow your business in such a way that we're adding additional ways for you to earn so what's in pay my negotiator so as mentioned earlier you can accept payments via qr code eventually this will be qrph send money transfer so you can also accept payments from customers from customers pay my account to your payment negotia using send money and in the instance that your customer doesn't have a payment account we still have you covered since if they have a bank account they can still transfer to your negotia account advance would be those customers who make use of shopify or other platforms as well for their website so the solutions we have here are the ecommerce checkout plugins so as a shopify magento woocommerce cafe 24 or a global linker merchant you can accept cards e-wallets and all emerging payment solution so this is for your website this enables you to accept visa mastercard and all other e-wallets as a form of payment another one is our email chat payment link so again going back to the simplest form of going online which is your gagawath instagram page facebook page and you just want to post your product with the price in it um you can actually make use of our payment links wherein if a customer is interested in the product you posted just confirm that transaction you can create generate a link and send it to them whether it be via text messenger viber or whatever conversational channel you use send that link to them and they'll be redirected to a to a page where they can pay and complete the transaction last one would be the expert so first off i want to highlight here the our pain io one so this is our pos your one device accept all kinds of payments whether it be visa mastercard paymaya qr jcb banknote or wechat pay so for the advance it's really more of an only channel wherein you're present both face-to-face and online so it's a combination of all the other solutions i presented earlier lastly would be just a summary of everything we've talked about um how to future proof your business so first one upgrade and complement your on-ground business by going online merchants must accept all forms of payments to ensure that they address all the needs of their customers lastly would be secure payments and save payments by going contactless so now more than ever i think the last part save payments by going contactless i think that's really a highlight um we want to make sure that we eliminate those or we minimize those types of transactions to keep everyone safe and that's it for me so just download the negotia app at the google play store here's my contact and you can scan the qr code for this event thank you guys thank you very much nick and truly well thank you very much as well to p to uh to pay maya for showing us all your products and services in the meantime the business landscape and even payment systems have changed so much now i want to remind all of our viewers that if you have any questions for our speakers feel free to keep them in by uh showing up by typing typing it on the comments section below before anything else i want to remind you guys the qr code is on the left side so you can scan that to see all of our other products and services keisha go ahead yes and now it's time for us to call back our speakers who will also serve as our panelists for this morning we have the vice president and head of small and micro businesses of pldt enterprise and president of clock telecom mr chito franco doble zetta industrial designer and jci manila 2021 director of business and development joseph gonzalez vp and partnership lead of union bank global linker rwana joy yapchua product manager of msme and broadband solution for pldt enterprise mika santomaria and paymaya msme ecosystem business development lead nick margot home bazaar to everyone who's tuned in this morning join us and be part of the discussion by keying your questions via the comment section okay so now we're not panel time natalia this will be the last panel discussion for garbage with us like since episode one it's a backstage event not then okay so now first this one is for ro miss rawana of union blank union bank so since this is a tech show like you've promoted a lot about online selling so how important is it to have an online store especially now you're promoting some msmes and like lots of our viewers are are msm so yes how important is it to have an online store yep i'll i'll be very happy to answer that one yeah as you know you know we're still here practically we're still on lockdown right um uh i think it was joseph a while ago who mentioned uh that although some of us have already been vaccinated right i think everyone everyone will agree with that so that being said foot traffic is not so good yet right i visited them i only visit malls when it's really absolutely necessary and uh people really are still uh very you know uh the the the pandemic is real the kovit is real everyone's still afraid to go out so i we cannot emphasize um how important it is right now to pivot um our businesses online you know um uh globallinker is here to help uh we give uh a free online store free community um online payment gateways you know logistics everything is for free because we know that there's not nowhere to go but go to go online right during this time yeah yes that is true telegram now like even like most small negotiators and even the bigger ones who have like more establishing smart i mean brick and mortar stores they're really going online that was we've seen like lots of stores now late salon again lately online so like now some of them have closed already so like people nowadays they know the importance of online stores and some of them set up necessary facebook lazada shoppie and other platforms so do you think that they should still sign up for union bank's global linker and decide and can you please reiterate again the importance that you've mentioned during your during your presentation a while ago yes i'll be very happy to that definitely they should still sign up of course with the union bank global linker the sign up is for free again it's uh unionbank.globallinker.com you know because um aside from giving them at their own online store for free there are other um still a lot of other capabilities uh functionalities which they can do inside the platform they not only not only can sell right they can uh build their own community uh that's just that like what we did to jc manila right joseph is here uh we did a marketplace and a membership directory for them right wherein they can um add just add members uh feature the the products put the logos of the businesses that's one they can connect with each other so it's like a facebook as i've mentioned a while ago it's a cross between facebook and linkedin and shopify shopify takes care of the marketplace uh facebook takes care of the connecting right linkedin takes care of the of the community function they can uh join webinars right they can they can read um very interesting articles in our knowledge section i believe all these are very specific to our platform only they cannot find this in other online platforms yes that was just that was just actually my next question like how is it different from other online shops and you also mentioned kanina like um because now this is like our last episode now so this was a great platform actually an event um other negotiates latest industry and like they get thoughts and insights from industry leaders as you mentioned um articles written by sms smes and also thought leaders also in global linker american communities and events so now i know that a lot of people a lot of the ghost hunters they'll be interested to join global linkers so how what's the process for that uh joining global linker couldn't be easier all they have to do is just log into unionbank.globallinker.com i can

chat i can put the link here in the chat later or i can give my email i believe i i know a lot of the admins here i know rent so i'll give i'll be very happy to give my email address they can just get in touch with me anytime um sign up is for free i cannot emphasize it enough um creating our own online store is free creating the own communities free can you can you can post all you want as long as it will benefit the we have currently 54 000 msmes onboarded in global linker yeah yes yes okay so i think we can now ask um topitopi maybe or mr wanna well actually my next question is gonna go to uh the miss mika santa maria and i'm gonna be asking about beyond fiber uh mika so what's the what makes beyond fiber different from uh compare or what makes beyond fiber uh different compared to other fiber offerings um it would be two key things so the first one would be reliability so the business screen fiber with the 1990 advantage make sure that your the fiber that you get is consistent so we really want to take out the paid point where for example you get the 100 mbps and you're thinking i'll probably just give me 30 mbps so but beyond fiber in in this case that's not the that's not the thing so it's an up to 50 mbps subscription but the lowest that you will be getting is 45 mbps so you want to make sure especially during peak work hours you know 10 a.m to 12 noon where you need to be online to serve your customers you are able to do so so the next one is the wi-fi powered by cisco meraki so again it's not just about having um the best fiber you have to make sure that you also know how to manage your bandwidth from the inside so an example would be let's say you're in an office and one of the employees is connected and and this will really take a hit with your the rest of your operations so these are some of the key things that we want to um manage for our customers and the best part of of it all is that it is plug and play so they just have to plug the device in well technically we plug it in for them and then they just have to connect there you go there you go and uh you know i like the idea that it does help you balance effectiveness and efficiency all at the same time because in the workplace especially when you're working from home it does get tricky um mika last question i heard about the dare promos uh correct me if i'm wrong about that but who can avail of these dare promos so their promo is available for new new customers or for um or new sites or existing customers with new sites let's say you're opening up a branch then you can definitely have that site on or their promo so that you can get um the first three months for only 90 pesos and if you're not if you're not satisfied then you can be term
