Why This Japanese Couple Quit Their Company and Moved to Singapore

him to include because it's super delicious let's put this in this is so amazing you're gonna love this thing dang it's triploid steak julie mmm so meaty chunky so this is the miso chili paste dip it a bit mmm it's very nice i love the sauce here overall um super delicious bentos definitely get it it's under my name trust me it's very nice uh my favorite i would say is the yutang super nice you can actually um add on five point three dollars to get the set meal upgrade which includes the truffle tama mushi seafood soup and mini salad so that's very good deal so my collab pintos are available also explore ntu one of the top universities in the whole world that's takasan and yuikosan they are married and uh yeah your favorite thing about food i have a lot of questions but first i think i'm curious to explore this beautiful garden so this is part of ntu is it is [Music] so it was takuya-san who wanted to come here to study mba right yes but why singapore why ntu why in two um first of all actually the fee is cheapest oh i'm in asian countries and the ranking is really high actually i think um fit for me because of the program the the fee of course and the people here are really diverse i really love this place and then i decided to come here it's my first time to ntu and it's just so beautiful and i'm just so amazed at how vast the campus is look at that that is crazy it's like a beehive isn't it yes one of the most iconic building in interior wow this is unbelievably cool wow so what is this area like it's open to the public also basically collection oh classroom for um undergrad do you study here sometimes no never but we have uh like coffee small shop foreign [Music] [Music] all right we are at like the fourth floor and that's the classroom yes basically very small and we can also get a view of jiro all hcv can i ask a stupid question uh what is ntu in the first place national technology university is also very strong right business and management it's actually kind of a solo ah okay okay okay you can study a lot of subjects you're studying mba right yes uh until when are you leaving singapore quite soon um next april actually next day four wow that's very quick yeah but that's why i chose ntu oh it's shorter than other schools yes yes only only 10 months uh one year and you just told me off camera it's way cheaper than united states yes so that's actually a very strong point right yes the cost wow wow how was it so far like studying here check it out crazy in a good way or a little a little walk other assignment a lot of classrooms and everything is like but i i almost finished the two semesters two trimesters almost done three classes and then i finished the i i mean i'm gonna get mba i can say i'm i'm nba you can do it yes yes [Music] is taking us to one of the classrooms right yes mba classroom and this classroom normally like even ntu students can already come so it's going to be very special kind of exposed to four and the students of tmbc and here uh where we have oh wow would you say this is one of the bigger classrooms yes biggest wow so cool the camera follows you [Music] see wow so high-tech that camera is for zoom [Music] how's the class like how are the teachers different the biggest difference is teachers are like encouraging students to you know speak up participate all the time what do you think dubois sound what do you think what we do is not like lecture we are not like doing lecture yeah like conversation a discussion because i remember in my university you just sit there most of the time because most japanese are kind of shy we don't want to talk you know we don't want to express our opinions and stuff [Music] hello so there are takuya's classmates like why do you choose to study here no firstly i'm singaporean with the pandemic ongoing it's very difficult to travel overseas wanted to do my mba overseas but perhaps i can do it here better utilize my time here and uh ben uh where are you from i'm from germany and for me being here is a great opportunity to really experience asia first hand and to get to know different classmates from all across asia so we have singaporeans here we have japanese we have chinese indians filipinos south koreans which is really great to to have this opportunity especially in covert time and so i'm happy to be here what's something you absolutely love about singapore which germany cannot provide i i guess currently looking at the weather in germany it's a little bit colder yeah it's really nice that you have good weather all around yeah it's breathing right there right now it is yes it is [Laughter] oh [Music] one eternity later okay i did some serious hiking the food better be good after that hike so we're checking out the we're checking out the the food court right yes okay are we here yes oh it's kofu i'll be honest with you that was pretty far but that that shows how big the campus is you need to be fit feet everywhere yeah wow crazy i mean whoa crazy so many people good japanese cooking have you tried it so many times how is it [Music] long awaited lunch time okay are you guys wondering what a japanese student will buy for lunch okay what did we get okay i got vietnamese coke yeah um you okay hate comments you know that's my favorite i very nice very nice the chicken very nice that was a good lunch thank you for your recommendation uh what are we checking out now um here's the one of the area in northwind we have mcdonald's here subway here starbucks starbucks wow and now we're entering like an underground city here oh cool it's like a a shopkins glasses a cafe a restaurant it's like a mall isn't it north fine saga umi sushi you can also get sushi pasta here you can get your boba tea and even a supermarket you guys don't even have to like leave your campus right you can do everything here yes this is something like i think japanese universities kind of luck right yeah we only have like uh like hopes foreign okay we came back to the underground city um i'm getting excited because the surrounding everybody is young very energetic right i feel like i want to do something something young is it your first time trying mr bean ice cream yes actually how is it i love it i love it you like it i like it how it's not too sweet so what's your plan after graduating i want to try to find a job here in singapore [Music] in japan the construction of the organization like very hierarchical yeah you're gonna you're gonna have like boss your boss's boss bosses bosses bosses like kind of endless moving and doesn't make sense if you're gonna make season really rapidly just yes and i hate it and i don't i don't like nomi kai or you don't like the drinking culture yes because i was a sales and i i was like i have to go every day every night with my boss or suppliers my clients even part of the job kind of but you don't get paid i paid your own money right yeah you got very close nobody paid yeah it's i i think in singapore not much not much we don't even i remember like when i was working in singapore right we only had one drinking i worked for six months only one if this was japan i think there will be like at least four or five six already but then almost everything every day for him yeah yeah yeah wow but how is it living in singapore [Music] [Laughter] what do you what do you like about singapore singapore is like my hometown for coca yeah hokugo is very similar yeah like easy to get around right except for the weather i remember she mentioned that uh she like she likes you because of the the mindset of people but here people really open-minded people even diverse and people are willing to accept different opinions different perspectives yeah but yeah but in my country i think you know but still i have my country yeah yeah [Music] yes even if you can't speak english you can just say uh can [Music] um [Music] [Music] if you live in singapore okay i live here for three years so i can kind of tell like when it's during season oh it's like may june oh christmas yeah but yeah true the the weather is like almost almost the same but believe it or not right now it's quite cooling you know right now it gets hotter in like may do you want to say hi to the camera or okay it's okay my friend he came and said to write an autograph first time you know first time writing
