What and Where to go in France, Versailles and Paris in 2 days w/ Notre Dame April 2019 fire

So I look like a rocker. Anyway, Chateau de Versailles is far from here. It's about 16 miles from here. So it's a longer travel about 35 minutes one way But if it's a tour, it will be 2 hours. We didn't choose the tour because my husband doesn't want to waste time and it's longer in the bus, he might have body aches so even if it's expensive, it really is expensive if you take the taxi because it's just you in the vehicle and it takes 35 mins to get there so it really is expensive to take the taxi but we'll just pay for it because it's far and he doesn't want to have body aches after if it's the bus it's two hours going there and another two hours coming back he doesn't have patience for that and he might have body aches So we are now in Versailles but it's another 22 mins to get to the Palace of Versailles it's really far but it's okay it's manageable and it's not too far like an hour but if it's the bus it might stop and go and a slow ride that's why it's going to take long it's like it's going to take about two hours We have arrived at the Chateau Look, there's already so many people we thought we were so early but we are actually late, my lord we are going in there's already so many people guys we thought we were early but my God, there's so many people already too many people now the ticket that we bought is uhm what do you call it passport with timed entry meaning to say we are guaranteed priority entry it's guaranteed that we can enter within 30 minutes of the hour or time that we scheduled to enter so hopefully, we can really go inside early just my suggestion that that your footwear needs to be comfy like sneakers or boots because the stones the stones of Versailles it's like cobbled stones or something like that it's difficult you can't wear high heels here because it will damage your high heels you won't be able to walk here so guys it really helps passport with timed entry because our line is separate look at the line when it's not timed entry the line is so long but our line is no that long it's really fast if it's a timed entry So guys we will be going in now Look at the line of the ones that don't have time entry but because we are timed entry we were able to go in fast they really made great sculptures they are really great sculptors because look at this, it's really precise work so guys when you enter Versailles you are going to enter here first or this is where you are going to enter first it's really beautiful, as in, it's awesome so my suggestion guys is if you want less people here, you have to be here very early you have to be very early and go straight to the trianon or garden because uhm it's much nicer in the morning or afternoon by noon go inside the palace that's the time you see the palace that's my suggestion so guys I'm very disappointed because I wanted to go straight to the garden but I can't go straight there because if you do that, you are going to exit and go back to the line so we didn't go to the gardens first we'll just go inside the palace first this palace is huge guys so I don't know it's annoying guys, annoying so for the Hall of Mirrors guys, you have to climb some stairs ah this is high so now guys we are having tea we are so thirsty so we drank lots of water and having tea so guys i'm going to try the citron, uhm, it's a dessert i see this a lot in the pastries here in Paris so i'm going to try this today with the tea of course so...
guys after eating it, the citron is actually like key lime pie so it's pretty good so guys i need to mention that it's not allowed to bring tripod inside so if you are going to bring a tripod, you will have to retrieve it from this place yeah because they will confiscate it and you will be able to retrieve it underground once you have exited now once you exit, you can now go to the gardens we should have done this in the morning but we already entered the palace we were afraid that our ticket might be forfeited so we just went inside the palace first before going to the gardens it's cold again guys, it's 45 degrees so cold if you buy a passport ticket with timed entry, you won't have a problem, you just go in and enter the gardens, you do not have to buy a ticket look at those people who need to buy a ticket see the others, they still need to pay to enter the gardens while us, we enter directly, we already paid it with our passport with timed entry ticket it's really better to go online and buy it ahead of time so that you don't have to line up again the place is really massive guys and my friends who already came here this is my chance to come here they said that it's really beautiful and massive it's really true that it's massive in the picture it doesn't show you can't really tell that it's like that in the picture but when you're here, you are really going to be shocked and awed at the size of it so guys, it's like, it's massive guys it's huge the place is really massive so the whole day, you might spend the whole day walking here because of the size of the place it's so beautiful see there's so many people maybe if it's very early with less people, the pictures might be amazing but that's how it is, people flock this place you need good footwear here because of the stones the gravel yeah you need tennis shoes here everything is so nice guys, everything okay guys so we are done, we are tired so we are leaving now we already saw the gardens and the palace so we are good guys, if in the morning it was bad, it's even worse in the afternoon the short line we had this morning, now it's very very long even if they're priority, the line is very long then those that are not priority, the line is even worse look at it guys, it way over there, imagine that this is the entrance right the line is way over there, it's worse in the afternoon, my God if you've come here and you traveled far it's like you don't want to come back right so it's really best to be early so you can go inside quicker so we are glad that even if it wasn't as early it still better to be here in the morning okay guys peace out hi guys we are back again we went back to the hotel, slept for 1 hour or two hours? something like that, we power napped now we are back outside we already passed by here, this is Pont Neuf hopefully i said it right then now we are going to go to the Louvre we are probably just going to be outside because it seems to be too late to go inside there's too many people so we shall see it is still a little ways to walk actually it's very close to our hotel so guys this is the Louvre, it's massive the entrance is in the middle which is that pyamid oh that's right i need to speak tagalog so guys the entrance to the Louvre is that pyramid the Louvre is so big, there's underground as well so i don't know if we are going to enter today since our plan is to go in on the 16th and we have to buy tickets so we shall see this road has a lot of art galleries yeah it seems like the art district or where the arts are that's where we are going to eat guys at the Cafe de Flore they say it's a good place so we'll try it today for dinner, we are hungry success guys, we were able to get seats even if there's a lot of people it's really cute here guys the cover of the table and then oh how cute it's so cute what do Iike here everything is cute isn't it? ah i don't know what this is alright guys this purple tree right here, i don't know what this is but it's a pretty, it's a pretty, this purple tree is so pretty guys look at the doves, they're so cute no, no chicken, just cheese please uhum, yes, english hi guys, so we woke up late about almost nine then we got ready so it's almost 10 when we left so it took us long to get here at Champs-Elysees anyway, we are going to eat here at L'alsace it's not planned but we are going to eat here because i saw their mussels it looks yummy so and their pricing, it's not expensive it's comparable to US prices so we thought to eat here and the rating is 4.5 over 5 so it's seems okay hopefully it's good so guys this is what I ordered, mussels and it comes with fries and for my husband, i don't know why he ordered fish and chips but that's what he wanted to eat, fish and chips he's simple so he orders simple foods while I ordered mussels, he doesn't like seafood okay guys, hopefully they're delicious i will let you know in a few minutes hi guys it's gone, we finished it we already finished our lunch so what can I say, what can you say about your food? so what we can say about our food his fish and chips was okay and so with my food it's okay it's not mind blowing that i would say it's so good it's not like that but it's also not bad in taste it's okay, the taste is okay it's just not mind blowing but with the price, it's okay because the price is not expensive and it tasted good the only thing that we observed is that the taste is different like their fries is different in taste if we compare to the US maybe of course their spices might be different and the fries is deep yellow the color of the fries is different compared to the US and the Philippines because the fries in the US is like light yellow but their fries here is deep yellow and the mussels where tiny mussels so they should have given us a fork intended for mussels (escargot forks) but they gave me a regular fork so it was harder to remove the mussels but the dish tasted good it just the mussels were tiny but I don't mind much it would have been easier to take out the mussels if the fork was smaller that's really for mussels then what else what else can you say about your fish and chips? ah what's it? the tartar sauce? yeah the tartar sauce, uhm the taste is different, the tartar sauce tastes different i don't know what it is it's just it tastes different of the tartar sauce for the fish and chips i think for the fries, let's go back to the fries, i think the fries, it's like it's like it lacks salt but maybe because we are used to salty foods in the US that's probably why it felt new to us but it still tastes good it's much better to have less salt anyway so that's it guys, i think it's okay to eat here I'm not saying that you don't eat here, no i'm okay of you guys eating here but if you have other places to go to, then yeah that's fine too anyway, another thing is the service they're okay in terms of asking us how is everything, if the food is okay the only thing is like the manager he's not as friendly it's like you think he doesn't understand you but he does when you speak english that's all, it's just the managers here in Paris are like or seem to be angry or annoyed when you speak in english i don't know why customer service in Paris is not good, that's what I can say anyway, okay guys, that's all my review of L'alsace, i don't know how to pronounce it right so guys we are at Sacre-Coeur it's a church and there's already a lot of people because it's already noon so look at them there you go guys, there's so many people let's go here there that's Montparnasse that's the Montparnasse building and you saw the, uhm what do you call that, where's the Eiffel Tower i can't find it ah it's probably over there guys we are already late because it's already 2pm and now there's so many people so this guys we are coming from the back or maybe this is the front because yesterday, we came from the other side so this one seems to be the front? i don't know but uhm yeah we need to get there early or at least at 4pm so we can get in and get the priority check in okay visitors with tickets so okay guys even with our priority ticket or a ticket with timed entrance there's still a long line but it's 4pm, our time is 4pm so we are actually early it's only 3:30 so uhm it's good guys it's insane it's full of people because the Mona Lisa is here that's why there's so many people okay guys so we are going up now to the Mona Lisa and i bet you there's going to be a lot of people that's how it is see how many people come through here it's like chaos it's chaos it's good chaos though people are very, they're still polite and uhm ah alright where's the Mona Lisa see guys the Louvre is so beautiful one of the wings of the Louvre so this is how crowded the Louvre is and I can say the whole Paris is like no road is not filled with people it's like every place there are people okay guys we're close to the Mona Lisa let's see if Mona Lisa is here I will need my husband's help guys my 55-200 mm lens changed the whole thing 'coz i mean if you look there's so many people and they're tall people, and you can't really, it's hard for you to get a picture but then because of my 55-200 mm lens, my husband was able to get a really good shot and this is the shot i want to introduce to you my new found friend hi lanie she's from Pampanga, i'm from Angeles ay Angeles, Pampanga ohhh we just met here in Louvre who is that guy, there's a bald photo bomber our photo bomber! can you introduce yourself to us? who's this photobomber here, hey my name is micheal anthony ah hi michael anthony nice to meet you it's charles edwards, nice to meet you, alright thank you very much byeee it's insane, every street is full of people hello guys so according to Erwan Heussaff if you watch his vlogs in one of his videos the top eats in Paris roasted chicken is the best or there's something about the roasted chicken in Paris like you want to try so here, i'm going to try it see if it's really good as what he said i was going to get the duck confit which she is getting but hopefully I didn't make the wrong choice so okay guys bon appetit hi everyone, so we went back to Trocadero for the Eiffel Tower at night there's still so many people guys even at night might be more in the morning there were so many people now there's still a lot of people but the Eiffel Tower is nicer to see at night i'm going to show you guys you see it's so pretty so guys it's so fun here look there's so many people in trocadero i think this is really the best place in pictures of the Eiffel Tower but there's just so many people so you need to be early see as in there's so many people so if you want less people, then come here very early so guys it's timing that the Notre Dame got on fire so the Notre Dame is on fire 2 hours ago we are close to the Notre Dame the place we stayed at is in St. Germaine so the roads are closed we still have to walk to our hotel there's so many people here right now there's the police and do you see the smoke? can you see the smoke? the one that's smoking is Notre Dame so it's timing that it got on fire and we are here in Paris so you see the firefighters, they can't just hose water on the fire because it's historic (relic) so you can't just use water to extinguish the fire but the they can pour water on the surrounding area it's terrible, it's really terrible so many people right now watching they're very concerned because this is a historic place millions of people come to see it and now it's going to be damaged by fire it's terrible see so many people are watching, waiting so awful a lot of people had to walk because two bridges are closed probably three on the other side so we had to walk two bridges and take Pont des Arts i hope I pronounced that right to get to our hotel
