Stories From Rodrigues Island Departure Day Back To Mauritius June 2022
[Music] so [Music] 15 hours know i'm getting into their time here it's kind of like military time 24 hours anyway so i'm right here at a small airport so i just got where i am i won't be able to check in until two nights the bus is why i am a bit early but now i'm just um chilling with my other cup cup um [Music] solution anyway so that's the departure so i'm flying with mr ray shoes it's on time [Music] [Music] uh by the way or mainland mauritius i went there and the track uh the mahibo it was a pretty amazing it's a fishing village rodriguez is fascinating right [Music] it was fascinating i was together with uh leo one of the workers at the he showed me how he fished it's a it was a very simple way of fishing it's just a small simple fish lineup and as a fish as a baby and he was able to capture this dill uh he asked was any of the fish he said i don't know exactly how it's spelled i'm just saying it the way i heard it it's fascinating it's less than 10 minutes he was able to get the coach and then we went to an island which is uh i thought it was close and it took us about 30 minutes from the docking point right in front of the resort and it was fascinating what's interesting is that we are over the show i guess that's why there's not a lot of waves the wave is far out of the island and um yeah and then we went around this island it's uh uninhabited it's one of the volcanic islands one of the 18 islands excuse me part of the macaroon islands and then we climb up the on the island it's pretty rocky it's very small really really small but fascinating right right i went to the very top of the island the next kind of middle lighthouse it was lovely accommodation and then uh from there we he took me to another smaller island which is pretty close to the bay and that is the diamond island this one has a sandy shore as a matter of fact there is a sandbar that you can actually walk you're away from the shuri it's still unless and after more so it is at no time so you can actually see the sun okay arising from uh from the island this is uh the diamond island is even a smaller island googly in bulma you can actually see what island uh you want to make um [Music] is [Music] [Music] 11 days in my gracious ah lovely i'm going back to mauritius the mainland and i'm spending my four days and i think i'm going to syrian [Laughter] these are two of the three mark islands here in the indian ocean which is east of madagascar uh according to google it was discovered by a portuguese navigator back in the early [Music] [Music] autonomous from mainland mauritius in the year 2000 or 2001-2002 that's why the captaincy is the millennium squad it's one of the northern yeah so as i said i have this plaster on my nose i got bit more nasty bug i was okay right i saw it she was like a goosebump like a goosebump like a pimp [Music] this is my portable great thing it works here you have a service here [Music] it's pretty good and then uh instead of using my extended thing i'm using this one it's a way cheaper and yeah i can control i can control and i don't know how much it gives you a daily request every single day 24 hours and you can connect multiple devices [Music] so especially checking email you know google maps sometimes doing a google search as [Music] the airport is uh really small and here you can see and i put my mask because masking is required i right here i'm still early wait for another for another hour going to the mainland issues because i'm eating [Music] right anyway so right here i think i need to wait i kill i need to put my time and i need to [Music] rodriguez island and welcome back all wishes in the next three hours [Music] here the bush [Music] airport this is [Music] is [Music] there you okay [Music] this bus goes to [Music] this is um [Music] maybe a small intake [Music] um [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] down [Music] uh come on [Music] shoes [Music] i know there are other flights my flight is [Music] and i think there is a uh one or two hopefully i can get to an earlier flight yes hopefully hopefully for free yes uh it's a lovely day this is a rich airport here in uh rodriguez [Music] uh you cannot get about my boss [Music] foreign [Music] so [Music] [Music] so [Music] bye [Music] you
