SERENE Bliss in the COTSWOLDS COUNTRYSIDE
[Music] we're spending the weekend in the beautiful kotwal's countryside where of course you find an abundance of chocolate box Cottages but also so many picturesque villages we have been here a number of times and always love it for our weekend getaway we chose a cozy and comfy English country pop and we can't wait to show you around a little bit this is The Village Pub in Barnsley it has six rooms and it's absolutely wonderful to be here let me show you our room so let me give you a little room tour so we are here in the eaves of the pub and this category is called comfort room I believe and it's incredibly cozy you can see they chose a very deep well I'd say this is a mixture between blue and green it's really comfy or gives you such a cozy and comfy feeling and I it's so funny because actually when you see this painting we just got quite a similar painting an antique painting from the 18th century and we're still waiting for it but I think it will be so beautiful look at this wonderful headboard fabric I also love the the beams in here it's not a big room but a wonderful cozy room in a pub and that's something we wanted to show you a wonderful Pub in the cots walls Countryside we also have a tea and coffee station and this is the bathroom I love this huge sink from Burlington qu essentially in land around the corner is the shell which has blue tiles wonderful shade now that I see this gorgeous painting I can't wait for hours to arrive very Jane Austin and this shade works so well with a mustardy yellow doesn't it good morning so yeah as you can see we came down for breakfast as be usual we are the first people which we always love yeah early birds and and Y is having granola as a starter yeah with yogurt and berries this is the So-Cal snug here in the Village Park it's very nice snug very very nice the artwork in here is incredible everything all the pictures they have are stunning yeah I also love this this here yeah going around the the bench so the village pump actually belongs to the pig hotels and there's a gorgeous Pig Hotel here in Barnsley which we will try to show you tomorrow morning all of the pig hotels are usually in manor houses so gorgeous and we are actually meeting up with friends here from the states they usually come to the UK once a year because they absolutely adore it and yeah we of course will enjoy our time with them and try to film a little bit in between because there's so much to see and it's so picturesque that you just have to film it [Music] [Music] we got our breakfast which looks absolutely beautiful so Yu has this is Kipper yeah Kipper yeah scrumbled eggs and bread that's a lot isn't it yeah and I have a traditional English breakfast with yes looks [Music] [Music] we came to a pop called the fleas in which actually belongs to the National Trust it's in the village bradfordton and we actually came here with my parents I think 6 years ago and I remember how much my mom loved it it's very historic and quirky so let's go inside [Music] we just finished lunch at the fleein and you had yeah H steak and Silton pie mhm which was good it was delicious I had a small beetro salad and the walnuts were incredible also the moment we walked inside and they let us to our table it was the very same table that we sat on with my parents years ago yes and that was just wonderful it really was it was a walk down memory lane and our friends love the pop as well it's from the Medieval Times very old and it's so characterful so if you are in the area we can really recommend it also the The Village the name bre bradfordton yeah it's lovely really really lovely [Music] so we made it back to the gorgeous Village snows Hill I think we've been here four or five times love it every sing single time so whenever we are nearby we have to stop because it's so [Music] [Music] Charming I'm not entirely sure but I think most of these cottages are actually holiday LS isn't it [Music] wonderful we mentioned this in an older video so this is were part of brard Jones were filmed I'm not sure which house they used for her parents house but what we really adore about this place is that the church is in the middle of the village [Music] [Music] [Music] good morning good morning we are having a very early start today it's not even 7:00 but we thought we would get up early to film at the pig yeah and enjoy silence it's so nice once we hear our alarm clock we think oh no but then when we're outside it feels so wonderful also on our way to the pig we spotted a wonderful cottage for sale we need to show you now on the right hand side is the wonderful Cottage that is for sale and I actually know the person he is an incredible gardener he has done so many things wonderful things to this place I mean just look at the Garden everything the walls and everything he is so talented also he does have a Deval kitchen sadly yeah we can't meet him today because he's not around but the cottage inside is a dream see this is the property agency called seils they have the most beautiful houses Cottages I really like the stone and the different levels can you see the door knocker it's shaped like a heart such a dreamy Cottage I really really adore it [Music] and now it's time to go to the pig hotel which is just down the road from the pub actually our friends stay in the big house and we never stayed at the pig I know them I know the hotels we need to stay there at one point well I mean the the P belongs to the pig but our friend said I will be able to show you the room and you also need to see the garden it's so special so this is barnesley house used to be a manor house and the gardener who lived here was very known in Britain she is called Rosemary very let's go into the garden so the house is from the 17th century I will never Tire of houses like this so here you can see the Beautiful house in all its Glory the garden you see here is an arts and craft style garden and they kept its original features and I find it so stunning it's very special and it looks as if someone just walks out of the house any minute now and will'll invite you for tea I feel as if I want to sell you the Pickel and it's not even sponsored so this this is what I read the house is big and it only has six rooms so it must be so wonderful to stay in here we we were to lay to book a room so yeah but we absolutely love the pob as well although the rooms are smaller but we love staying at a pob we haven't stayed in a pob full quite a while so we thought it would be nice to share look at [Music] [Music] this here's the kitchen Garden so here's the kitchen Garden it's beautiful isn't it [Music] okay I'm I'm inside now and I want to show you some of the Gorgeous Fabrics and wallpaper they have in here and this little Nook there's so many nooks and crannies this bre is absolutely beautiful [Music] [Music] right I'm in room number two and this is a room where our friends are staying I'm so thankful that they said I should film this there is so much to say about this room it's wonderful it has a gorgeous calming color palette and because there are only six rooms they are actually massive I read last night that this pig has the biggest rooms and so let me show you the bed first it's a bobin bobin bed I love bobbin furniture and what do you need to know because for those of you who are very into very much into interior just like me and wallpaper and colors so they work with a brand with British brand which is called House of hack and they make the most glorious wallpaper and fabrics so it's actually they are environmentally friendly work with local manufacturers so I don't know the pattern of this wallpaper but once I edit this video I will find out for you and inser the name in this video look at this huge tea and coffee station very homely and cozy feel lived in not too matchy matchy so that you don't have the feeling that they try too hard and well it's incredible look at the high ceilings and the beams the best is the view into the garden I always have such a weakness for Windows like this and a closeup of the wallpaper can you see that this lavender and then they Ed this beautiful linen fabric as a curtain in a lavender shade really gorgeous and well I don't know if this is from House of Hackney but it's really nice too a huge chandelier you definitely need a lot of wallpaper roll in here I also read and I love that approach so much so the creative director said that when she designs a place she imagines a character that lives in a house like this and Designs the the the place around that character isn't that [Music] [Music] fascinating now you need to see the bathroom because it's absolutely massive and by the way before I forget just last night we said because we have the very same light switches in the pub we said we could have used those for our home as well because they are very Victorian looking okay brace yourselves this is the bathroom I said you could live in here look at the wooden floor creates such a warm feel a former fireplace you could just Lounge in here order a cup of tea just like Lady Mary or cor from Downtown Abby can we just speak about this this sponsors are out of this world the bathtub is huge and I I don't even know where to start window seats and well a big mirror here's the shower see and this is something I find absolutely fascinating because the color combination is probably something you wouldn't come up with at home because you might think it doesn't go together but it completely does so this is like a mixture between blue and gray and here we have the lavender fabric again and then when you look at the at the fabric here it does have blue and lavender and it completely works this I find so funny because at first I thought like the the color of the the sinks and the bathtub it's like it it was something that you would find when I was little but it really works in a country house see and then here you have this blue and lender again see these lights also the oldfashioned Burlington sister and I mustn't Miss this wonderful cupboard this bathroom is so cozy huge but at the same time cozy and then you have the The View into the bedroom [Music] [Music] Yak just headed back to the pub to order breakfast for us because I can get lost when I film interior so I could have spent another hour in there I know this is strange but this is how I am I'm in the toilet in the pub and we just checked out I simply have to show it to you so this is probably another house of hack wallpaper with a very bold pink really striking Let Me Slowly turn around really nice and they have wonderful prints in here see so I simply have to share this before we go to a village called wison [Music] is [Music] we are in a very sleepy and small village called Winson yes it's beautiful so a very typical cotwall Village and we never heard about it before it's only a 5minute drive from the pig yeah and you can see now there are just beautiful places around the corner so there's still so much for us so many cotw villages for for us to explore it's incredible so I think you will abs absolutely love this [Music] place gosh this place is wonderful look at the house in front of me honestly a very hidden Jam in the clot walls were so grateful for the tip this was a huge surprise and talking to locals always pays off because they have all the tips [Music] before heading back home we stopped in Lis Slaughter which is one of our favorite places in the pots walls the cottage in front of me is actually for sale so I must have a look on the web just to see what it looks like inside you can always dream [Music] [Applause] [Music] whatever we're here we have a specific feeling yeah I I don't know a feeling of calmness yes and I I can't describe it I just feel really really at ease here me too I think this is definitely one of the places that you have to visit in the quotz walls yeah [Music] we're having a little tea break as always and we are at the Slaughters yeah in lower Slaughter sounds pretty brutal doesn't it so the name derives from muddy place this is what we read yeah in German it's schlam mhm yes and we've been here a number of times we always love it so much it's yeah absolutely Picture Perfect yeah that's hambat and of course Cris and I have a chicken
