NINE MILES, JAMAICA: TOURING A WEED FARM
we are here on this beautiful saturday morning at 10 13 a.m because we're going on a road trip with daddy tate so he said he's gonna take us through the hills um probably to nine miles and so forth so i need to get ready because the earlier we leave the better it is because of the curfew and all of that so i'm gonna go get ready and be right back with you guys oh thanks for being here by the way supermarket to go and work so we survive off our farming over here i'm a farmer what do you farm yes i plant like yam coco cabbage sweet potato irish potato nice i'm a big farmer up in the mountain you know okay okay so do you like you don't go to the market and sell stuff yes i go to kingston market to sell my stuff okay okay yes it's ready to cook yes party was here the other day so they cook right here you know okay yes a little local party huh come over here over here we plant a yam on the stick crust over there and we also have the sweet potato right here you see those fresh banquet digging right there the sweet potato yeah so it's a three month crop okay three months yes three months okay sweet potato you plant this year you're looking back for it next year okay a whole year what yes one full year okay let yes it's good for like when you're shaking up nerves problem your boil the leaf and drink it otherwise the sauce up the fruits it looks like i need some of that yeah if every lunchtime in prep school we used to eat them like these little leaves yeah we used to eat these little leaves like um like is lettuce i don't know if i don't know guys we used to eat it though like it's very sour yeah it's very sour very sour but i was a kid back then maybe i had a much stronger immune system i won't try eating it right now so that is back in the days and we leave some stuff in the olden days okay guys so we just did the local bob marley plantation tour and we have decided that we're gonna come back another weekend so that we can do the touristy tour the actual bob
