First Impressions of Hunza Valley Pakistan

First Impressions of Hunza Valley Pakistan

Show Video

[Music] Good afternoon, guys and welcome back to another video here in Pakistan specifically in Hunza valley as usual with the Posh brothers up here and then we've got the British lad, Harry. Hello, hello. Right back there. So we're going to be taking you guys further into Hunza. We just started the series in the last video. If you haven't seen that video, make sure you check the link in the description below to check that one out first. Now, we're gonna be exploring more of Hunza. It's a beautiful day here. We were expecting it was gonna be

snow covered areas and thank goodness, it's not because we're actually getting some sunlight. It's actually keeping us quite warm now got my jacket unzipped. You saw the last video I had my winter hat on, gloves and everything. Now, it's a nice hiking temperature around here. So we're actually cruising around one of these trails right over here, right next to the fort we were at and we're going to be taking you guys with us on this next adventure. So let's do it very unique looking bird. What type of bird is that right there?

Yeah, I’ve never seen anything like that. It’s got like a white belly, black head and then it has more of like almost a- a peacock color in terms of blue slash greenish turquoise feather on it, very beautiful. And that's specific to the Hunza valley region? Yeah, I never see it in down city, only on this side. Wow mountain bird another reason to come to Hunza, you'll see some exotic birds. Alright, guys we're walking up to a local gentleman shop here. Yeah, what's your good name? My name is [_____]

Oh it's a great name. It's nice to meet you. And aap kaise hain? [How are you?] Shukar Alhamdulillah [All praise is due to Allah] So you got some good stuff here? I’m thinking about buying a couple of things here. How much for those local hats? And local hats sir? Yeah. This one sir is Pakistani sir 500 rupees sir. Oh with a- with a feather on it. Alright, which one- which one do you guys think I’m gonna look good in? The feather? With a feather, yeah. Oh

yeah here can you can you crown me boss? Yes sir. Here we go. Let's see. How do you wear it? Do we show any hair out of the front? Like that. That looks nice so I look local if I say, aap ka name kya hai? [What is your name?]. It’s a great name. Thank you sir. Very good, very good. So, I think we've got ourselves a deal here. Let me know what you guys think how do I look in this hat versus some of the other ones I’ve tried on here in Pakistan? I’d say it looks quite nice with the feather. Whoa, look at this guy.

Yeah actually we need- we need the glasses on, yeah. Yeah and that's gonna do the trick. King Harry and Kind Mac. Hello, your king is here. I’d say we've got ourselves a bargain boss. That sounds like a deal to me, 500 for it, yeah. Oh, I think there's a 10 in there for you too I guess. Oh thank you. Shukria [Thank you]

my good friend. And what about these options for- for nuts. What do we got white mulberry white mulberry. Alright, let's give that a shot there, looks kinda like a pine cone. Quite a nice flavor. It's got a chew to it.

Whoa guys, I can taste Hunza valley inside my mouth right now. That is quite good. These walnuts are local too? yeah. Yes sir, this is a walnuts different quality sir. Which one's the highest quality walnut? Me and the boys need some snacks to chow down on. Oh highest quality wants look at this. So we've got a few different types of colors here. We've got a- a lighter

color walnut. We've got the darker color here and I thought I saw one other walnut option here. There's the- the third option but these are a nice golden color and these are grown in Hunza? Yes sir, local. Oh local, local. I think we got ourselves a deal and how much are these? This one's 800. 800 rupees. Alright, you guys hungry? Oh yeah, good. Oh perfect. Alright, they're not hungry but we're definitely getting them anyways. 800, that's a big bag. That's

gonna take me like half a year to eat but we got ourselves a deal. Shukria [Thank you] my friend. Alright, we've got a happy new customer here guys, new hat and a fresh bag of walnuts. Shukriya [Thank you] Allah hafiz [Goodbye]

Alright, and we're enroute guys. Oh it looks like Harry got himself some nuts and fruit over there. How are those bro? I got like a mixture of dried fruit. Hunza originals. Feeling like a Hunza king. Oh man living- living large, living large. Yeah, I might have to try out some of these walnuts here real quick. Let's give them a shot. A big old bag, let's try them out here. So, Hunza's highest quality nuts are located

right here. We found a big piece. See that guys. That right there the infusion a walnut in your mouth, a fresh breath of air here, the hat and some sunlight, this guy's is the Hunza experience. Let’s go nuts gentlemen. These are the highest quality in Hunza. You gotta try these walnuts. We gotta see if these are as good as the ones you normally eat.

Let’s get his reaction here. Good one. The best you've ever had in Hunza. Alright, alright, I’m still finishing. Oh, this guy's hungry. He’s just chowing down. Oh yeah, g double o d. G triple d. Oh good, good. That’s how you know it's good. Alright, guys we're gonna save these for later

and chow down. Alright, guys so this local hat with the feather on it, 500 rupees roughly three US dollars and then the big bag of walnuts. I’d say that's gotta be close to a kilo maybe a little less, 800 Pakistani rupees comes out to about like just over four dollars. It’ll be nice to have that as a snack. The hat in

in local language, it is called dumboori. Alright, we got the dumboori on. We're cruising through Hunza into dumboori . We gotta get you a dumboori. Yes. You don't have the dumboori or you got one?

Oh you'll have to bring them out next time. I will say guys prices here and the tourists I expected them to be a little bit more expensive. For example, for this hat but that was actually a very good price without any negotiations. So that's nice to come to places that have a heavy amount of tourism and they still have very reasonable prices for visitors. I always point that out whenever I go places is to share with you guys what the costs are. You guys working on

homework? Yeah alright. Is the school in English or is it in Urdu or what language? English, yeah. Alright, Alright, so your homework's over there's in English. Alright, alright, and how many people are in your school? 250. 250 Alright, so you know pretty much everyone there. But you guys are the coolest kids in the class, yeah? Alright, or the troublemakers? Yeah. No, no. Well, it's nice to meet you guys. Aap ka naam kiya hai? [What is your name?]. Aleem, Ali Zain, Azmat.

Great names. I hope you get the best grades on the homework. Allah hafiz [Goodbye]. Shukria my friends. Allah hafiz [Goodbye] Alright, here we go guys on to the next place. Alright, the boys have loaded up in the car. We're heading over to Altit. Alright, Altit Fort and this one was the neighboring royal family? Yes. Alright so, it's crazy because it's so close. We're what a five minute drive roughly? Yeah,

plus or minus a minute or two. So basically, these were like two villages and they were separate royal families ruling each village. That's the first one then they moved here. Okay, okay. So they relocated. What did they do with the old house? Was that given to like guests. Yeah. Okay turned into a guest house, let me put it this way. I would love to be friends with them because I’ve heard this other fort's very beautiful too.

So guys tell me the most interesting thing about Hunza, like the first fact that comes to mind? Beautiful and honest people, welcoming. Very welcoming, yeah every single person we've seen here smiles, says hello to us. You feel very much at home. I feel like I’ve been here, I feel like I know everyone already, quite a good feeling and by the way guys if you're wondering how I’ve met the Posh brothers. I’m actually doing a tour with them. Harry and I are doing a tour of them for about six nights, seven days. You’ll see them in a lot of the videos

and of course in all the videos, I’ll include a link. So you guys can get a hold of them. WhatsApp, Instagram what do you prefer? Instagram. Instagram, perfect. So I’ll drop a link down there to his Instagram page. You

guys shoot him a message, speaks very good English which makes it quite easy especially going through all the army or the police checkpoints yesterday, we didn't even have to get out of the car. We did sometimes just for fun to get some biscuits and tea. So you know we had to make the best out of the police stops and get new subscribers from them. So the boys are

taking us through and we're excited to share with you guys. So stay tuned until the end of this video because I guarantee you, we're gonna see some interesting stuff. So guys, we're just arriving to the spot here. Another fact we wanna add in here. Another very interesting fact and good fact just shows how good the people are here is that here in Hunza, there's pretty much a zero crime rate. So you can leave stuff in the car. You can drop your wallet, people will come and find you and

give it back to you. There's no crime so that's a great feeling. You can just tell you know everyone here is so nice, welcoming. They wanna make sure you have a good nice time here. We've got some badminton going on in the street. Oh and he misses it. Let's get a good one here and there we go. That's two, three, four, five,

six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen. Oh and the power lines stopped it, very nice gentlemen. Oh they're good on camera, first try. Oh this way, alright.

The designs of these streets are definitely much different than the rest of Pakistan here. Yeah very, very much local because you don't see anything like this down in southern Pakistan. This thing makes the house really warm. Well and that's like a mixture of mud and clay. And hello, very nice. And you see guys, we have another reason

to come back here in the summer. This whole area is actually turned into a swimming pool and that's gotta be a solid maybe two meters deep. So that looks quite nice, little refreshing dip would be great, not right now though because we're- we're on the edge of being cold now. Oh we've got some local beverages here. Yeah, it's zero percent but you can try. Oh zero percent beer. Alright, alright, so that's a chicken beer yani.

I’ll take one beer yani too. Peach malt. Alright, that sounds pretty good. As we say cheers, cheers, cheers to the mountains cheers to the mountains. Oh sorry about that. Harry's all over the place here, cheers. So to get one of these, it's about 80 or 80 rupees so that's about 70, 80 cents. Let’s try this one out.

Oh yeah, that's kinda nice. It’s got a cousin of a beer taste to it but mixed with peach from Muree's Brewery. That’s nice. Perfect to kinda like walk around, chill here. I can imagine myself in the summer here,

sipping one of these and then hopping in the swimming pool. That’s probably a Mr. Posh's go-to yeah. When was the last time you swam in here? You never swam here, no. Alright, well next summer when we come back, we're gonna take Mr. Posh for a swimming lesson in his- in his own backyard. Yeah, perfect. Insha-Allah [God willing]. Soon. Soon. Salaam Alaikum [Peace be upon you]

Sir, how are you? Theek hai [Good] Hunza is a very nice place. First visit but not my last. How are you feeling here? Oh it's amazing. Breath of fresh air you know, I was- we were down in the cities before and so it's very busy there. So, it's nice to be up here in the mountains, fresh air. Yeah it's a beautiful place, very kind people like you and the rest of the people I’ve met. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. So it's been great. Thank you. Very nice

people here, very kind people. Very nice. Thank you. Yeah, Murree’s- Murree’s Brewery. And we've got another postcard, it looks like Harry. So we're good yeah, so these postcards and tickets combination comes out to 1200 same as the other spot, so just over seven dollars for us to get in and explore Altit Fort guys. I’m excited to see

this place. So guys based on looking at this postcard then looking at all the fallen leaves here. I can imagine this place must be magical to visit during the autumn months too, so really I mean I guess any time of the year Hunza is the place to be. Now this my friends is a picturesque trail. That's probably going to be the theme of the Hunza series as I use picturesque a lot but you guys can definitely see exactly why that's the theme because everything is just so enjoyable to look at. Looks like our friends over there got a hat too. Yeah, how are you? You got the hat too.

But not the feather. New purchase? Yeah. It looks good. Enjoy yeah. Looks good. Thank you very much, you too and what's your good name? Javeed. Javeed, that's a great name. Great, thank you. So you can speak partially American

partially British English for us, yeah. Okay, I am the best in British accent if you don't mind. There we go. He sounds more British than you. From his childhood in British accent. So teacher came here from the UK, I asked him your accent, American accent is different so he told me Americans don't speak English. They speak American.

That’s true man. That is true. That is true. That's funny because Harry was saying what language is it? He's like it's English right. I was like nope, it's American. He's like it's not a language. So, we've got the staircase leading up to Altit.

It’s very shiny, shiny some particles of mica. Therefore it's shiny. Oh yeah, the mica particles. Mica is protector for the ruby. Oh okay. Chemicals. Wow. So the place is very granite. So built by Tibetan architects. They came from Shikhar state with the groom guest of her princess. Her name was Shikhatun. So, 150 people came here, they built this palace for her as a dowry. It was their culture of Tibetans. So for two purposes, earthquakes and invasion. Our area is the

fourth dangerous zone of the world. Collision of two tectonic- fault line of two tectonic plates and the junction of four mountain ranges Karakorum, Hindukush, Himalaya and Pamir Range. Many guides forget the Pamir Range they mention three ranges. And is there much volcanic activity? We have not now but Jali just told me that one million years ago, this area was erupted by the volcano. Okay. So he told me that we have a some special stone here, all the time local people will make the cooking pots. We call it baloch but that Jali just told

me that is volcano deposit. Oh okay, because we did see on our way up here, there's a highway along the river that had a hot spring that has a lot of landslides, that's part of the range? You were right near the Chillas valley. Yeah. The name of this area is Tata. This is Sanskrit word Tata means boiling and Pani means Water. Yeah tata pani alright. Yeah even Himalaya this is Sanskrit word.

Actual accent is Himalaya. Himalaya means snow covered mountains. Karakorum this is Turkish word. Kara means black Korum means mountain. Oh, okay Black Mountain. Earthquake, the resistance of this building is after renovation 8.5 Richter scale minimum. You can imagine how many earthquakes. Every year we enjoy small

and big four earthquakes. To what magnitude every year? Above 4.5. Oh so you can feel it? Take off this 2015 I was with guest in the fort, 26th October, 3 o'clock so earthquake was 8.1 Richter scale. So you can imagine, I have enjoyed that earthquake but the depth was 150 mile, therefore we survived. Otherwise you know well 8.1. Yeah we

wouldn't be looking at the structures today then. You know guys, it's debatable for me which view is better because looking out here you can see the river winding through the valley. I don't know if I personally would have moved like the king did back then. Whoa but I almost fell maybe that's why now we're walking in.

Alright, so we have the small passageways again going through here guys. So we're actually here in the palace entrance here, the reception but in the evenings, it was where the guards would hide out as our guide was just telling us, very interesting place here because when you walk around here, you have a few things that stick out to you. Here we have a standing grave where the younger brother was burned alive because he revolted against his elder brother. So they were very severe and cruel

punishments to make sure people don't revolt but our guide was telling us they would still revolt. And then right here, as you saw on the other palace, we went to this would be my favorite place to visit, the wine cellar but it's dry now. Things have changed over the last few hundred years. That is the reception area, guys a quick view for you now we're

gonna head up this way. The staircase is the original staircase or it's been remodeled? So now the staircase has been remodeled or original. Maybe original, maybe renovated but with the percentage of time you know well everybody you know renovate his home maybe in the past then renovate these stairs. Okay in the past. Why the stairs are not in balance? During the war or if any person was attacked from outside so it was not easy to come up. Oh okay yeah. So, it had to be challenging, yeah, yeah. Alright, so as you guys can see here, this is how tall the passage is. So I’d have to do the limbo all the way down

like that to make it in. Even if you can see the doors are too short. Yeah. So when the invaders attacked from outside first of all, first was when was boheme, second was choc second control climate. Oh climate. So your climate after 21st December, the temperature of this area will be between minus five to eight to nine, ten. Oh upper Hunza between minus sixteen to twenty seven. That's quite chill.

Three last villages of Hunza valley, Misgar, Chipursan, and Shimsha those are on the borders of Afghanistan and China. So temperature fell down from minus 25 to 27. If you will go to Tashorgun, minus 30. So we would need one of those wool coats then to stay warm. Yeah maybe two of them. Yeah like yours, yeah that's a nice one. So this is where the ministers would meet? Yes. On a daily basis to discuss politics. And the design of

this room is just so intelligent. Here we have the passage of the air that vacuums the smoke directly up. So you don't even need a chimney in here and I can bet, there was probably millions of meals made in this specific pot right there. That’s the original? Yes. Yeah wow, I would love to have a meal out of one of those

one day is that possible in Hunza to eat a meal out of this type of material. Yeah. We can antiques shops if you will go there yeah so you can buy. Yeah so they're still used? Like this size then. Yeah that's a little too big. I could make a lot of chicken biryanis out of that. Oh my God, living Karachi. I was in Karachi.

This is the central ventilation of this building from these two doors and street when the upper atmosphere in summer go up because of high temperature, lower cool atmosphere start to exhaust from here, every room will be airy. In winter when we close the skylight internal atmosphere will be still. It was very easy to keep warm still atmosphere, they used natural power against nature. For example, you can see the thickness of wool. They were used a lot of mud for insulation. Please doors are too short, watch your head. Alright, you could lay here and see the stars at night too. I can show you here maybe now the wind is going up,

you go back. Oh yeah, from the dust pollution, I would say. Oh yeah, the dust is going. Yes, you can see the dust. So well designed and this one's 1,000 years old. Yeah. Wow,

incredible architecture from that long ago. Yeah you'd find me here every single night just laying looking up at the stars, got the convertible style house. Who would revolt against them They were locked their knees and ankles between two wooden twisted logs backwards. This was physical constant torture. Oh. Within two and three days when they were apologize, they release them from here but not independent. They will be slaved for state. Slaved permanently. Yeah. This was punishment for common men. If an elite was revoked, prince the head of revolt.

There was no mercy for elites. They’re just buried alive or? Buried alive, keeping the crevices, chop them, threw them off from the high altitudes. But how often did that happen? Would that be like weekly, yearly that someone would revolt? Between decades. Oh okay, so not super

common. They'd make an example out of someone. The villagers would be scared for decades. More often. Yeah quickly. Wow so this door is too short, please watch your head.

The name of this room is [____]. When a child was born in royal family in winter, they will keep mother and child here safety from the harsh weather. So British army came to Hunza, kept in different state in this room till the completion of legal documents of negotiation between Delhi and Hunza. This is name edition by English. Sir, this is your culture. Exactly yeah, that's you. I can tell you- you might have to say it in the British accent then sir,

this is yours. That English teacher told me that, I n g l e. Couple remodels in there. We got the lights in there now. Yeah that's a fine British structure if I ever saw one. I think our domestic guy is well aware about captain Durand when he was a colonel so he drove the line of a Durand line between Afghanistan and Pakistan. In those days, a lot of area became the part of Pakistan otherwise that was not part of Pakistan. That was the part of Afghanistan.

Nowadays we said, FATA, tribal area. Even towards India, he didn't visit the borders of Pakistan in India, he said in the office he said that well, when you're in Hunza valley, you wouldn't wanna leave right. 1962, we lost more than half of area of Hunza Valley because Chavan Lai claimed that till the Raikot bridge of Chillas, so this is the part of Pakistan-- Sorry China So you guys go up from- from here so in those days, I think a small battle between China and India so a huge part of Ladakh is occupied by China. The area of Hunza in those days 24300

square kilometers but now eleven thousand, six hundred square kilometer. Half of area of Hunza has occupied again against the China. Actually a – that part has occupied by Hunzai people. So it was not our right to occupy that area. Disaster of Ming dynasty, Chin ping Ming dynasty, it was the strongest dynasties but Ming dynasty has fall.

So then the Hunzai people has occupied many areas but Chavan Lai. Chavan Lai. So we're entering the next room here. It’s where they actually used to store the vegetables since of course Hunza has a four seasons. So you have your very

cold winters, you're not gonna be growing too many vegetables during that time and the same setup to this room where you have the ventilation through the windows leading up to the chimney where things were cooked there. And this was the family room where the royal family would sleep in like you might have seen in the last video, same thing you might have like up to 10 people sleeping in here. And out here- oh the nice little balcony. Balcony, balcony loo, the loo. Oh the bathroom, the loo. That's the British term yeah. So this is a little loo there,

not a bad place to take care of business. Whoa, look at that view. 300 meters. Guys this is so phenomenal. You can see overhead feeling like the drone right now. Very beautiful. Now, it's changed a little bit. We've got a nice highway carved in right along. It’s gotta be a beautiful drive during

the day. Mountains on both sides. Harry's thinking about getting a convertible cruising down that road. Oh, there's people down there. I think they're looking up at you. What are they doing down there? Actually, they are you know crossing the-- So they're just pulling them across. Yes. Very manual process. You gotta be pretty strong for that. Yeah strong young boys can do that. No that's the same in the US like strong like bull someone's strong, yeah you know that one. Yeah. Alright, we're cruising back this way,

heading up to the full-sized terrace. After English, French. French okay many people speak French. Yeah. Alright, we just made it up to the rooftop. Can see the other palace up there. Baltit fort. Yep but I still think these views are the winners. Comment below guys if you've seen both videos which view is better? I think this one is just something about that icy blue river that gives it the the winning feel. I mean you can

literally look in every single direction, you're gonna get like a different like type of feel like if you look up there, you get that cold brisk mountainous feel. You look down there, you get that summer feel of nice blue vacation watercolors. And then out here, you can see the village, a whole another feel. It’s quite nice. I bet even Mr. Posh never gets tired of this view, does he?

This is awesome. Yeah it is. So we've got a little window over here and there we go. I think even the- the balcony down there the loo view is even better though. The “loo” guys if you don't know that means bathroom or the toilet in like British and Australian English, I wanna say, might just be Australian. Well

so guys up at the top here, we've got the watch tower, On the left there was a monastery and then on the right side was storage here, so very nice designed everything. I mean like think about that 1000 years ago, they were able to build such structures and you can see how well made it is and insulated using the blocks of wood mixed with the cement. Like a small little window up there, doorways, a tiny little doorway on that one though. That seems like the smallest one that we've seen. As you can see down here, this is where people used to be hung. So I was saying this is at least a beautiful view from back in the day.

Alright, I gotta film this just in case people might try and say we pushed them off. Wow, it gives me anxiety for the guys standing right there. Look at this drop. He was just on guys, one false move and you're dropping. There's no this. Let me

put it this way, those rocks down there, they're not forgiving. You're done for that. Will snap your bones like a person walking over a couple sticks in the forest. You'll be done. We’re cruising through the tight passageways here. Another balcony, they love their balconies back in the day because trust me, I would have too. I would have done the same thing, built them. That's a long one. It's actually new

construction. Oh this is new. 1891 when the British argument came to Hunza valley local head of state built some rooms for English officials, political agents, army officers were come to Hunza valley to visit borders, they were stay here. So this is the old village older than the fort. So it was surrounded by a huge wall with 11 siege towers for archery. I think you saw a big water reservoir outside of the village. It was a big moat ditch from entrance of the village to

the garden. This was Aryan’s strategy. Wow. So now, we shall inside of this room visit. So you will see some black and white photographs. It has taken in 1932, a British army colonel. His name was Larimer. He wrote some fine books about the history and language of this area and he snapped some photographs. I think you are aware about the videos movies of Charlie Chaplin. Yeah, yeah. By the camera

off that type. Yeah. So this is the old village. We’re coming in these things so this is only 140 years old, yes and it looks yeah you can tell because coming in here the architecture inside here is much, much different in terms of the composition of the walls. It's different. It looks like the walls are even painted. Not paint, we have some special soil here, we call it

dumur. dumur. Oh that is nice. Yeah, I would paint this color in my house depending on the room you know. Quite nice, a little fireplace here. So that's more of the traditional fireplace here where we have the chimney, the British one. There we go. So you could see a suspension bridge in all

time local people were make bridge but they had not steel, by rocks we have a velo tree here. We call it shusk. People were make the bridge by the sticks of those trees. So for five years, so after five years they were replaced old magnavan. This is flowing,

harvesting. We know it after thrashing and the name of this wheat is sybedic. Russian and central asian wheat. The southern wheat can't grow here and here you can see, some ladies are carving sheep wool Here, they are making threads. It was the job of ladies weaving was the job of men here. You can see two men are building his own, their own house.

Wow, very cool. Alright, we're heading down for the vlog. You would do it, yeah, yeah anything for the video. Yeah he's kidding guys, don't do that but basically back in the old days to jump from there to there which actually it isn't that far of a jump but you know one false step, you're completely done so and then you'll be qualified as a commando. Commando Jaggard has a nice ring to it.

That’s true. That's true. You might have to try it then. We've got our man doing the subscribes live. What a guy. That was a really nice tour. Thank you so much. See I hope you really enjoyed this trip. If you did, you will write comments on the reception. You can see the comment book. Definitely,

we will do that. Thank you so much, really appreciate it. Shukria [Thank you] my friends. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you thank you. And we'll see you next time my friend. Yes perfect because Insha-Allah [God Willing] we're coming back next summer. Okay. We wanna

see this place in the different colors then we will go to the high altitude of this mountain. Yeah oh perfect and by then, you'll have the telescope. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, well so. This year I’m doing. Perfect, perfect. Guys so you know how many reasons we've only been in Hunza guys for almost 24 hours and I already have so many reasons to come back. The star gazing here though, that's definitely one of them especially

up at the top of the mountains, yeah it was a very nice tour. I love tour guides that absolutely are so passionate about what they're telling you about it, keeps the things interesting. Thank you so much. Allah hafiz [Goodbye] Thank you but yeah as I was saying that guy had so much energy.

Really, really made the tour so much fun, gave us a good insight of the place and these views guys, picturesque and beautiful. That's probably the 2000th time I’ve said it and we're gonna get up to a million by the end of the Hunza trip. Salaam Alaikum [Peace be upon you]. So you know how I said guys this was a swimming pool. The guys just told me that they're cleaning this place up and

they'll fill it up with water again, yeah and then turn it into a ice skating rink. So when does that usually happen by the end of December. Oh yeah, in January. January oh okay. So if you guys are gonna be here in January, I might be able to get those ice skates on and go for a quick little game of sports out there.

Alright, guys we're getting back to the car here and on to the next place. We’re doing a quick pit stop over here at the Himalayan Tiger hotel where we're staying guys, do a couple things before we take you on the journey to the next place. Alright, guys we are back enroute. Now time to continue this adventure today literally a perfect day to be exploring Hunza. You get your brisk chilliness and the sun has been shining all day. Looks like we got one out for the count. Alright, guys we're entering Ali Abad

which is basically the center of Hunza. Of course, as you can see, it's a bit more populated with people, a lot going on. We have shops on the right, on the left and a lot of places to eat. So you best believe that we're gonna be sharing with you guys some local foods down here based on the Posh brothers recommendations here. Posh. Oh yes, Posh. Alright, I’ve been saying it wrong the whole time. Harry always says Posh because that means like very nice like- like that's a- a great way of describing things saying. Oh that's Posh. Posh's English word you know. So yeah Posh.

Alright, Posh brothers guys correction to my last two videos. Akram’s too nice to- to correct me. Alright, guys we are back. If you saw in the last video, this coat I bought broke. So we're gonna see if we can locate a zipper for both me and Harry because Harry's front zipper never worked. Yeah

so guys we're walking downtown, it's not as busy as the other cities. Obviously less population. I wanna say there's just over a hundred, thousand people 120,000 people that live in Hunza. Salaam Alaikum [Peace be upon you] Alright, we've arrived to the repair shop. Oh and the big man's got a new zipper. He's fully zipped up and it's a shiny one with a squirrel on it I think. Yeah customized. Honestly he did it in about two minutes. So yeah very good

service. Yeah quick and easy. And as you can see, our good man over here he's repairing the sleeve. Aap ka naam kya hai? [What's your name?] Muhammad. Nice to meet you, Muhammad thank you very much. So we're getting a brand new zipper on there hopefully so we've identified the problem. It seems like the

bottom piece is what is disconnected there. So now Mohammad is gonna take out a new tool to re-thread it. So we got to do a solid repair on the jacket. So as you can see here, we've got a very special process. We got to thread it all together and that way, it's gonna keep the bottom part of the zipper done there and then if that stays then we'll be able to zip it up successfully. Oh we got the big shears for that one, similar tools used for the shoe repair.

Jacket. Yeah, yeah He can take on any project then yeah that's perfect and that was literally like 90 seconds. He just did the entire repair. Oh guys and we have-- Oh yeah. Shukria [Thank you] Mohammed. Shukria [Thank you] my friend.

Shukria [Thank you] Chai? No thank you. Shukria [Thank you] Muhammed Allah Hafiz [Good bye] Guys I thought this was pretty cool over here. I saw this bus and I asked Mr. Posh Akram, oh is there Wi-Fi on that bus because there's a sticker on it? He said no, it's just a sticker. That’s pretty great.

How much would that zipper cost normally? Around hundred. Yes around 100, so about 70 cents to do it. Of course, our good hard working man Mohammed deserves a tip. So we hooked him up. We found another one of those cars with Wi-Fi. Yeah, they don't have Wi-Fi. They have just sticker. They're sticker, there's another one. They all have Wi-Fi guys. Yeah that's smart, good marketing. Alright, guys that's where I’m gonna go ahead and end today's video here in Hunza. Hope you enjoyed exploring with us, getting the jacket repair and checking

out some of downtown, just a quick stop down here and get ready for tomorrow's video because we're gonna be trying out some traditional food.
