Hello everyone, I am your Sridhar In today's video, we are going to talk about our recent Andaman trip It's been almost 5 years since we went to a tourist place Renata's birthday came and we wanted to celebrate it We booked this place as a surprise and celebrated her birthday Let's see what we did and how it was We left at 6 am for a 8.30 am flight and went to the airport It was really 6 am, but it was dark in Chennai As soon as Oscar came to know about the flight, he was excited So we decided to show him around the airport and leave early We said bye to the Ola driver who came early and left for the airport Oscar was seeing the airport for the first time, he asked us a lot of questions We couldn't answer all his questions We checked in our bags, got our boarding pass, completed our security check and sat down at the gate number The kids were really enjoying the flight, taking off and landing This joy was because the gate of our flight opened The kids were really happy We didn't reserve any seat in the flight We thought it would be less expensive if we reserved for them But it was okay, all three of us got window seats Oscar, Tejas and Rohini were sitting in the window seat They were looking at the sky and everything around We travelled for 2 hours from Chennai to Andaman We went to collect our luggage after the flight Oscar was really excited He was enjoying small things, which was a surprise for us We collected our luggage, booked a taxi at the airport We booked a room at the hotel We got down at the hotel, packed our luggage We went to see the Port Blair Before that, we ate and did all the work We were looking around There was a local market there We went there to see how it was There were many shops there We stayed at Alberdeen Bazaar It is very close to Cellular Jail. CellularJail is very famous in Port Blair. This is our second time to Andaman In 2014, Cellular Jail was not as busy as it is now Now, they have kept many things clean It was very good to see We were enjoying for an hour in Cellular Jail What is Jail? What is a Political Prisoner? Who are the Britishers? What is Independence? Many things like this kids learnt after coming here The staff from Cellular Jail was telling us about the prisoners But we didn't understand anything as we don't speak Hindi We just looked around The last thing we saw were the gallows We were very happy to see the kids learning new things My favourite area in Cellular Jail is the rooftop Last time, we went to the top roof The view from there was good The beach view and the view of the island was good But this time, they stopped us from going to the top floor We saw the manual oil grinder from the top floor They kept a manual mill grinder there Renata wanted to see it In Poland, there is a concentration camp called Auschwitz Hitler tortured Jews I went to that camp I saw the atrocities done by the Germans The kids were very tired after walking in Cellular Jail So, we went to the park nearby and finished our travel The next day, we went to Havelock Island It was our first time to travel in a ferry They were very excited They got good seats They saw the island and the harbour They enjoyed a lot After 1.5 hours of boat ride, we reached Havelock Island This is the harbour from Havelock Island The water from the harbour was very clear It was very beautiful We took an auto from there and went to our resort We booked the beach resort The difference is that the resort has easy access to the beach We can sit and play in the beach whenever we want This is the resort we stayed We checked in and went to see the beach Even though it was a little dirty, the beach was clean The kids were very happy We didn't have to go to different places to play The kids were always happy and bored They were playing happily in the beach The water comes in and goes out from the beach In the evening, the water comes out In the morning, the water comes in The beach is not deep, so the kids don't have to worry After that, we booked two cycles Renata and I went to Elephant Beach The specialty of the beach is that you have to trek to reach the beach We were very tired on the way If you go to Andaman, don't take a cycle The road to Elephant Beach is very bumpy It was very difficult to ride a cycle Renata was very tired The advantage of the beach is that you can enjoy all the places you visit We closed the cycle at the entrance We started trekking for half an hour to Elephant Beach The trees, plants and shrubs brought back my old memories We were happily roaming from 2011 to 2014 I was very happy for that half an hour The trees, the silence It was a joy, I don't know how to describe it After the forest, the mangrove forest started It was a unique beauty We came to the beach after that The specialty of this beach is that you can do all the water sports here Since we booked Kayaking in the evening, we couldn't do any water sports We spent an hour at the beach and then returned We told the kids that we can do it next time We finished playing and left We had lunch at a hotel nearby We left happily If you go to Andaman, don't buy crab or lobster It is very expensive We couldn't eat it properly Petrol is the cheapest option This is our resort The road opposite to the resort Tourism is important in Andaman The next occupation is agriculture Many people do agriculture there They grow vegetables and fruits They buy what they don't have There was a farm opposite to our resort We saw how they do it There is no running water there We saw how they do it without a pipe or well They use small hose pipes to water the plants Once in the morning, once in the afternoon and once in the evening This is how they do it Let's see how the soil near the beach is The soil is very good It is like this near the beach On the other side of the road, there is beach soil On this side, there is clay soil I think it came from the volcano It is good for farming On this side, there is a harbour They cut the grass from the forest and bring it here They do this to make a clay pot We went to the harbour the next day It was very good, there was good water There was a man fishing We stood there for half an hour and watched If you go to Andaman, you must do scuba diving or snorkeling My friend once told me that I was going around in the forest The nature was beautiful But if you do scuba diving 10 times, you will see the beauty of the coral reefs Last time, we went scuba diving It was very colourful They said scuba diving is allowed only for children above 10 years So we did snorkeling They did not allow Oscar We requested them to let him sit in the boat Otherwise, Renata should have stayed at home with Oscar I and the children were patient But they agreed to let them go There is no need to learn swimming to do scuba diving or snorkeling Anyone can do it You do not have to be afraid of water You can do it happily It will be a great experience Try it if you can To do scuba diving or snorkeling We have to wake up early in the morning or afternoon The trip will last for 45 minutes or 1 hour But the preparation will take another 1 hour We have to travel If we have itinerary like that, it is difficult to do scuba diving It is a thing to enjoy So we have to spend some time We planned a half a day for this The scuba diving center was 2-3 plots away from the hotel So we did not have any problem We did it happily They will arrange pick up and drop for us We could not bear Oscar's attitude He tortured me to let him in the boat The beaches were beautiful You can see the shades of blue There are coral reefs in the beaches of Mukkalwasi But the coral reefs near the beach are dead You can see the alive coral reefs only if you go inside The coral reefs are alive and the fish are moving around We are going to see that The coral reefs are 500-600 meters away from the beach We can go there only by boat Because the coral reefs are very sharp We can't go there by swimming Because the water level is very low The water level is 10-20 feet deep only after going far There were many differences when we saw the coral reefs Last time it was very colorful This time the coral reefs were dead The pollution and the forest clearing The agriculture is doing well The soil is getting polluted The coral reefs are dying Some fungal diseases are also dying Bleaching is also happening It was very difficult Because the beautiful things are dying in front of our eyes Snorkeling or scuba diving depends on Who we are doing it to There is an important thing If we want to spend less money They will take us very close to the shore The visibility will be less The coral reefs will also be alive Some islands are special They charge 7500 rupees for the boat only It will be good if we spend a little like that Next time we can spend some money This time we are going to stay cheap We stayed in Havelock for 2 days At the end of the 2nd day We met a subscriber He has seen all our videos He is a scuba instructor in Andaman He told me on the last day He told me about an island I forgot the name He said that if we go to that island The coral will be alive and colorful He told me to tell him next time If we had met that subscriber a day earlier We could have seen a better video And a better island But this was good for us It was sad to see the coral dying Everything we see now Is orange, green, yellow, blue How would it be if it was colorful? This place will be like that Visually It is dull because it is dead But the fishes are colorful It was a comforting thing The children saw many fishes I don't know how the 45 minutes went We enjoyed everything Oscar was sitting here Talking to the boat driver He was happy They gave him a banana We did snorkeling on the 2nd day. On the 1st day We went kayaking Tejas, Rohini and I went Because Oscar was not allowed So we were with Oscar We three It was a 1 hour snorkeling event It took 2.5 hours to get
