DISCOVER ArtParis Art Fair 2020 | Grand Palais | Paris, France
hi everyone i hope you're all doing well and riding on awesome good vibes i'm super happy because today we will be attending art paris art fair i've always wanted to go but never really got a chance and lo and behold today we are spending the whole day there so if you are interested in contemporary and modern art this vlog is just for you [Music] i'm getting dropped off at the borahen rer station i will be taking the rerb until chatlet and from chatelaine i will be taking metro line one and that will take me directly to the gojol palais [Music] [Applause] [Music] i just got off the rrb and i'm heading to line one and again if you have a ticket you need to have it on hand because you do have to go through some machines again so don't forget to keep your ticket at all times you are going on a ride i just got a metro line one here at the loop because the station i was supposed to get off on which is um a protest all these metro stations and bus lines it closed down so now the only way to get there is by foot i think it takes about half an hour to get there from the louvre at my pace it's probably gonna take an hour because i'm a slow walker the other option was to take either a scooter or a bike but i'm a little uh rusty no not even i i'm really bad at riding bicycles and scooters this is a lesson to be learned meaning that before you go out anywhere here in paris you just have to make sure that everything is running as usual but there's a lot of bikes it's actually really cool to see look at the lines of angelina it's out the door [Music] after all the walking i did [Music] [Laughter] okay everyone i finally made it to the company here in the eighth of june in paris france as you can tell we're at the ahpari paris art fair 2020. this fair is the first one that people have been able to attend in person since the pandemic broke out which is just an amazing thing and i want to say a special thank you to the segolan broset gallery for inviting me i'm super happy thank you so much from what i read it's 112 galleries gathered under one roof and what better than the beautiful grandpa right now there are artists from all over the world we're going to be doing a walk through of the whole exhibition i do have to wear a mask it is mandatory to go inside i got my pass in hand and let's go discover this art fair together just to give you an idea of how much it costs to attend the art fair for general admission it is 28 euros for students and groups of 10 or more people it is 14 euros per person and children under the age of 10 can attend this fair completely free i do recommend that you purchase your tickets online however if you don't get a chance to do so do not worry they sell tickets on-site and the first thing we see is a sign that says and some champagne bottles and look at this poster it reminds us of all the necessary sanitary guidelines that we need to respect throughout the whole event wow you're gonna see this beauty are you guys ready one two three [Music] now when you walk in you can come and take different pamphlets and what we're going to be getting is going to be a map and i believe this is it let's see so we're gonna grab a map to kind of know where we're going okay everyone before we start our adventure i just wanted to give you uh some insight as to what we're going to be doing now there's a lot of things to see i looked at the map and also i got the feel of how the layout is of the fair and i found it a lot easier for us to start from a1 and then follow the flow and then we're going to end up at d1 and then from there we're going to go towards the middle which is the e section where segolend rosette gallery is located and we're going to go say hi so yeah they're also something called the walls and they are located on the extremities of the company and there's some art being featured as well there we're going to take a look at that as well and without further ado let's get going on with this walkthrough and i really hope that you enjoy it okay everyone we are starting our walkthrough from a1 and going down to a23 we can already see there's a lot of people it's really busy i was not expecting that [Music] already i'm liking this black painting in the background with this head with a crown it looks like a princess for those animal lovers out there there's a really cute bunny with a sheep and a mouse head right next to it and here we have a kimono hanging i actually want this walk through to give you a perspective as to what the art fair consists of and what type of art is being shown by the different art galleries so make sure to keep an eye out for something new that captures your eye and here is a solo show and this looks like a paper-like material [Music] and we see it here again with a pink background [Music] oh this is really cool i like these pitch black sculptures this glossy type frame it gives it this chic-ness there's a like geometrical type of paintings oh and that circle shape piece in the background is really nice [Music] i'm noticing a lot of sculptures [Music] here we have a lot of paintings these greenery landscapes they're very soothing to the eye and this boot that's coming up looks rather slick [Music] i like the writing on the side there [Music] and this my friends is very famous if you know what it is please let me know in the comments below and always a good time for a nice picture especially when you have lovely art in the background [Music] whoa psychedelic got a little dizzy there and it's giving me this futuristic slash 1970s vibe right [Music] and this right here [Music] alrighty [Music] i like this type of art for a home or i can see it at an office this is a photography booth [Music] we finally made it to a23 which is the end of the a section [Music] and this right here is known as space invaders we have them all over the paris region but i don't know if they have them in different cities if you do know please let me know in the comments below [Music] this is one of the walls that i was telling you about that are being represented at the extremities of the columbia [Music] [Music] okay we're going to start from b25 and go all the way down to b1 [Music] hello [Music] with those really cool elephants in the background in this shark picture it looks like a national geographic magazine come to life [Music] i adore this type of blue it's very vibrant and beautiful here we have these paintings with gold i wonder if it's real gold [Music] though [Music] and that in the background looks like a pollock painting it just gives me that vibe [Music] here we have the picture of the louvre in the background [Music] that is really cool it says cold [Music] crushing i wonder what type of material these paintings are painted on [Music] um and these right here do you guys think they're pictures or paintings [Music] that is an animal skull on a mannequin oh and in here it looks like those other things that are pair stained [Music] look that man's coat matches the artwork in there this is very intricate [Music] and this 3d type artwork very fascinating that looks like the pink floyd lit local back there [Music] are these boxes part of the art booth [Music] [Music] we have reached b1 which is the end of the b section what i really like about this art booth is that blurriness type of artwork that they offer it really makes me think of photography and painting combined together these gigantic art pieces are part of the other wall collection [Music] [Music] so [Music] i'm taking a little break it's about noon i'm going to go and have lunch so far art fair is going really smoothly i've been able to see very interesting art there are sculptures paintings photography what's the beauty about having art fairs is that everything that your heart desires is actually here being present here gives you a little escape of what we're going through right now it's important that we take this in anyway i have a lot to go still so now let's go and have some lunch and see what goodies they have for us here is a food court you have what is called the snack section and an actual restaurant i see three different menus this one here tells you all the different drinks you have fruit juices you have hot and cold drinks beer wine champagne and of course one of my favorite coffee and tea this other menu shows that they offer starters main dishes and dessert it's like going to an actual restaurant they also have the snack section where they offer cold sandwiches and i think i'm gonna go for this one here which is the hummus eggplant goat cheese sandwich [Music] i just finished having lunch let's get going with the walkthrough we're going to start from c1 and go all the way to c24 this stand looks like if it's an aboriginal type art from australia given the name of the art gallery [Music] i'm sorry but here i have to put my camera because i'm trying to avoid people's faces [Music] i wasn't expecting to see so many sculptures [Music] i find this very nice [Music] i'm very drawn to the very bright colors especially this blue this is very captivating it looks like food cants framing the [Music] picture and this right here looks like a cotton [Music] field [Music] for some reason this booth makes me think that i'm in an art museum [Music] uh again we see a splash of these vibrant colors and i feel like it makes everything look so much more vivid and this one here too that orange red color very nice looks like fire [Music] wow that looks very different i wonder what it is [Music] having that natural sunlight come in it just makes the colors pop out even more [Music] and we see these neon colors [Music] i find this painting to be very beautiful [Music] and this here looks like it's a very delicate material [Music] and here we have a huge sculpture of a head it says if you don't like the reflection don't look in the mirror i don't care okay there's a lot of photography in there [Music] a banana peeled with a topless woman [Music] i like that piece in the background that has the different shades i can see that going in the home this has if i'm not mistaken photography of mountains with snow [Music] this booth here looks like it's portuguese because i can remember seeing something very similar in the mosaic museum in lisbon and here we have arrived to c24 which is the end of the c-section on this wall collection we have what is considered a comic art [Music] [Music] we're gonna head over to the d section i'm going to start from d 30 and go all the way to d1 [Music] so this is the d30 right in the corner and here i find there's also some aboriginal art from australia [Music] [Music] [Music] this i find fascinating i really like the black and white type of art and this one here is focusing just on that [Music] this here with the sculptures very neat [Music] this looks like a horse sculpture [Music] oh there's some legs coming out of a pot [Music] again it looks like comic art as well [Music] this here for me has like a japanese vibe [Music] and at this booth we have very enormous sculptures i wonder how much these cost [Music] um i think it's also important to keep in mind that all artists objective what i find to be very cool nice beautiful can be the complete opposite for somebody else especially when it comes to contemporary modern art i know that it's not everybody's cup of tea my personal opinion is that to each their own [Music] some parents in the background oh sorry there was someone that came right in front of the camera [Music] a lot of art collectors would feel right at home i haven't been able to find a price on any of these yet [Music] we have arrived at d1 which is the end of the d section [Music] we're gonna head over to the last wall and see the artwork that's displayed there here we go [Music] and then we're joining forces here so you have a1 b1 c1 and d1 [Music] now we're walking towards the east section which is right in the center of the company i was looking at this and if you come closer you can actually see that they are already promoting akhbari for 2021 says that it's company fm the maths it is a temporary structure that they're building the eiffel tower right there and then in front you have the chandemask so i'm going to be researching on that and i'll keep you informed [Music] we finally made it to the e section which is called promises and the reason for that is it is composed of galleries that are six years or younger and the galleries are also showcasing emerging artists we are going to start from e1 until we reach e14 [Music] this is the second impossible gallery we'll come back and say hi very colorful those bright colors are very [Music] fascinating [Music] [Music] okay there's a lot of african type art being displayed in this area here oh this is beautiful i like the gold with black [Music] we have reached e14 which is the end of the e-section [Music] the segolene gallery booth was right in front of me [Music] and she's right there this is segolan and this is the second and rosette gallery booth and i'm gonna go ahead and just [Music] is foreign um um and this might seem familiar because i did a collaboration video with the artist where he talks about his artwork i'll go ahead and leave the link in the description box below [Music] i'm going to try this out [Music] okay oh [Music] [Music] is okay everyone our time at the art fair 2020 has come to an end i hope that you enjoy the walk through i truly had an incredible
