[Drone intro] [Walking tour begins / Corso Gaetano Bernardini] ☀️Trinity Church☀️ Located next to the side entrance of the collegiate church of Caramanico. It dates back to the 18th century, although the triangular tympanum lintel of the portal, with a central coat of arms, seems to be more remote. The church has a very simple aspect, inside it houses a niche with the statue of San Filippo Neri. [...walking...] 1/4 ☀️Church of Santa Maria Assunta☀️ It has gothic exteriors with a pointed arch portal depicting the coronation of the Virgin whose inscription reveals the author, certainly Nicolaus Teutonico, and the date of realization, 1476. 2/4 The exterior of the church shows sculptures of apostles, pilgrims and singers. Interesting to note the 15th-century musical instruments, lute and hurdy-gurdy. 3/4 Almost nothing remains of the primitive Romanesque structure, except the rise of the presbytery, under which the crypt is located. 4/4 The church of Santa Maria Maggiore is currently closed to the public due to the collapse, which occurred on the night of January 18, 2017 and due to the excessive weight of the exceptional snowfall.
