BL Tourism Group Ltd Weekly Update Ep1
Hi I'm Benn from BL Tourism Group Welcome to our weekly update video, episode one It's saturday morning and I'm on the road Just left our Taranaki office, heading to the Waikato I'm operating our Patient Transport Service today I've got a 2 and a half hour drive ahead of me to pick up our first client Got to transport him through to Otorohanga to the pools for his physio appointment and then get him back to his property in Piopio so nice easy day today just alot of driving weather's good so that's a bonus, should be a good day don't actually like my chances of getting past any of them..... just right we're just arriving in Piopio now for our pick up made good time, got here in 2 and a half hours so about normal timings pick up our client get him through to the pools in Otorohanga let him have his hour long physio session and then bring him back home again pretty easy afternoon right we're just here in Otorohanga, dropped our client off at the pools so I thought I'd come down, have a look at the Ed Hilary walkway. I've got about 40 minutes while he's in there so come and have a quick look, it's a bit windy and cold today so don't think I'll be here long ok I'm back at the pools now to pick up our client, he should be out in the next few minutes everything's going really well today we'll get him back to his house in Piopio and we'll be finished for the day ok we got our client dropped off in Piopio, we're going to head through to the farm at my parents now for the night we'll stay up here tonight, we got a few more days up here yet it's just after 6 now everything went really well, no dramas, so good day hello it's sunday morning, I'm in the Waikato operating our Patient Transport services today we've got to take a client to Hamilton, he's got a meeting with his employer, it's part of his ACC obligations I guess you'd say, he's um he's got to have a meeting up there and talk to his boss, to make sure his job is still current and active it's going to be an all day thing. Couple hours up there and couple hours back plus a few hours for the meeting another full day, lot of driving, so we'll get into it ok we've made it to Hamilton, we got our client dropped off at his meeting he's going to be in there for a couple of hours so I'm going to head into town, get me some lunch while I'm up here on the road in the Waikato, Leonie's back down in Taranaki with the kids she's getting a few jobs done around the Taranaki base, we just moved out here expanded our business to Taranaki about 6-8 months ago and we've just moved into this new base the place was a real mess when we got in here so we're just working on tidying things up a bit so she's getting the gardens up to scratch so she's busy this weekend getting all that sorted while I'm on the road we'll see how she's getting on with that right I've got my lunch, I'm going to head down to the lake now. It's a good place to
have lunch plenty of parking, park up by the lake, see what's happening right well that's lunch finished, was a very entertaining little break, watching everyone falling out of their boats, we'll head back out and pick up our client ok we're just arriving back at the farm now, we got our client dropped back off at their house, everything went really well happy customer it's about 5.30 now so that's about it for Sunday we'll see you all tomorrow right monday morning, just up in the Waikato, last day here. just got a morning up here this morning doing a transfer for a patient to an appointment in Te Kuiti this morning so not too bad going to get this done this morning and head back to Taranaki bit of fog on the road this morning ok I've just had a quick bit of lunch at the farm I'm on the road now, heading back down to Taranaki got all our clients medical transfers done this morning everything went really well, packed up all my gear, heading back home again, back to the base so should be good, couple hours drive, 2 and a half hours drive I'm 10 minutes from home and it's my first stop at road works. first proper stop at road works. thought I'd made it the whole weekend ok I've arrived back here at our Taranaki base, got a couple of hours spare this afternoon so I'll make the most of this good weather and get a few jobs done outside get these lawns mowed, have a bit of a tidy up outside, and that'll be it for monday it's Tuesday morning, I'm on the road in Taranaki operating our Patient Transport Service this morning I'm picking up a client in Stratford and taking them to the hospital appointment in New Plymouth today While our client is in the hospital I'll take a quick look around New Plymouth I got about 40 minutes to spare right I'm back at the hospital now, client should be out any minute ok we got our client dropped off back in Stratford everything went really well, everything ran on schedule so that's all our transport done for today so we'll head back out to the base now and catch up with what's happening out there.
while I've been out on the road today Leonie's been helping out on the farm, they got the shearers in today so she's been helping out at the shed. check in and see how she's getting on there do you think that was a good idea?? "yes! it felt good!" "yeah!" it's Wednesday morning, we're on the farm today, we're off bulldozer driving. I have 4 hours experience on a bulldozer so could be an interesting day. Leonie's going to fuel it up while I grease it up and then we're off
while I continued with the bulldozing, Leonie helped out in the sheep yards to draft the rams out of the ewes. The rams had done their job for this season good morning, it's Thursday, we're on the farm in Taranaki today we got a tree to take down this morning that's fallen over, that should take about an hour or so and then we're back on the bulldozer we got about 6 hours on the bulldozer yesterday so that's got my experience up a fair bit getting the hang of it now which is good things are getting a bit easier for me we'll see how today goes, should be quite good ok that's the tree all sorted. just parked up at the shed, time to get back on the bulldozer looks like the fertilizer plane is just coming through so that was good timing good morning, it's Friday we're in Taranaki again got a few jobs to do on the farm today. getting stuck into a bit of fencing this morning we'll have to get all the gear ready and get into it it's a little bit chilly down here now, it's starting to feel a bit like winter things are definitely cooling off now whooaaa, here's a steaming pile of pooo! well there we have it, that's the new bit of fence done, just got to do a quick repair on the old fence above us we'll get stuck into this this morning as well and get this finished ok so that's the fencing all done just gonna head back down the hill now, we'll put this bulldozer back in the shed for winter well that's it for Friday, and episode one of BL Tourism Group weekly update hopefully you enjoyed what you've seen so far and as we get more of these uploaded we'll get a bit better at it hopefully if you've enjoyed what you've seen so far please consider subscribing and liking, and commenting below hopefully we'll get a few more of these out every week and you enjoy the journey as much as we do thanks very much for watching
