10년만에 개통! '바다 위를 달리는 열차' 타고 여행 다녀왔습니다 | 멀리 못가는 분들을 위한 당일치기 여행 코스 | Train over the seas of Korea
Today, I will introduce a travel course that I go to when I can't travel far because I don't have time. (I go more often because I can go by subway) I am going to Incheon by taking subway line 1 early in the morning I really liked the quiet subway in the early morning and the pleasant shaking. Arrived at Incheon Station, the last stop of Line 1. Today (old and heavy.. like a friend) folding bike is with us Take exit 1 I came to Incheon Station after a long time. Incheon Station is the place where Korean railways started.
Come to think of it, the Incheon Station building is quite old-fashioned. Right next to Incheon Station Exit 1, there is a modern building on the opposite side. I'll explain it a little later.
Right across from Incheon Station is the famous Chinatown. If you have time, Chinatown has a lot to see. Go to the building right next to Incheon Station This is 'Wolmi Bada Station', doesn't it look like a station from the outside? This train is a tourist train accompanied by a cultural tourism commentator. The price is 8,000 won for adults and 5,000 won for children.
It runs every 15 minutes from 10 am to 6 pm daily. On weekends until 9pm There is no service every Monday. The Incheon Wolmi Railway was recently reopened after the construction took 10 years. It stops at four major tourist spots in Wolmido. Go up to the 3rd floor and there is a waiting room. You can purchase on-site ticketing here.
Those who made a reservation online must also change to a ticket here. If you go up one more floor with your ticket, it is the platform. It starts from a fairly high place. The train is quite cool. The air conditioning works really well and there's even a powerful circulator on the ceiling.
The monitor shows the current position of the train. There are cockpits in the front and back, but it was just open. It is not an unmanned train, there is only one staff member who controls it. The inside size is small It has two compartments. Let's go. speed runs very slowly That's about as fast as riding a bike As soon as you step out of the station platform, the view from above is clear.
It feels like a monorail running through the city. A completely different landscape unfolds than when you drive in a car. The windows of the train are very large, so it was good to enjoy the scenery. I'm running really slowly. I see from the back that the railway is a double track.
The entire section is not double-track, only the second station is double-track. As Incheon is close to the sea, the port facilities are unique. Many of these cars are said to be used cars for export. I think there are many things to talk about when you ride with children. There are a total of 5 trains, and one is usually operated by 4 reserve high schools. You can see a large mural on the right.
It is a grain storage warehouse called 'silo'. It is a 40-year-old facility that has been transformed into the world's largest mural. At first glance, it looks like a book, but the mural is also based on a book. Books are said to be food for the mind, but the concept of a granary is right, right? ^^ The apartment is 20 stories high, so it's huge. Arrived at the first station With one ticket, you can re-board twice more than the departure station. You can get off at any place you want, tour, and get back on board.
As you go a little further, the scenery changes again. A green garden spreads out to the left. These are Wolmi Park and Wolmi Mountain. It's a well-manicured garden-like park, but it's huge and there are a lot of trees. You can also see a police ship (retired). A little further from here, it turns into a seascape A seagull flies right next to the train ^^; Are you curious? I really like the sea view If you want to see the sea side, please sit in the first seat on the right.
It's like a cruise ship on the sea. If you ride in the evening, you can also see a very nice sunset here. You can see very clearly as far as Yeongjongdo Island I feel like I'm on vacation at the sea Seagulls fly along the train as if they were following a ship. On the left is a ferris wheel, a landmark of Wolmido Island.
If you look down, there is also a water playground. kids will really like it There are also berthing facilities in ports that are not normally seen. It was strange to see it from above. Those are steel products that are exported by ship.
I was just wondering how the hell do you put those things on the ship? But the deck on the ship opened like that. It's amazing I went around Wolmi Island and came back to Wolmi Park Station. It's not the final stop, but there's a nice park on the left, so I decided to get off here. The 4th floor is also the platform.
The train going through the sky is unique. Let's go to Wolmi Park right next door. It was an old park, and the trees were thick, so it was very cool. There are many good places to take pictures in the park.
Especially the full moon at night would be even better. There were plenty of places to cool off. (Watch the sound of water for a moment) And there is also a small zoo You can also buy food from the vending machine, and they don't even look at you because you didn't feed them ㅜㅜ I'm on my second trip You can ride a bike like me, but it's not far so you can walk. Please note that sea trains only travel in one direction. But is it really slow? hehe This is a place called 'Korea Immigration History Museum'. It is the only museum in the country that deals with the history of Korea's first immigration.
There is no entrance fee Did you know that our ancestors immigrated to Hawaii in the early 1900s? In fact, it is said that many of their descendants visit this museum when they come to Korea. There are many materials and relics that give you a feeling of the situation at that time. I reproduced the first Lee Min-sun as it was. In the early 1900s, as many as 7,000 people immigrated to Hawaii. Most of them were sugarcane farmers, and it was said that they suffered a lot.
It was a museum worth revisiting at least once. (The more difficult, the more eager to learn) (names of thousands of real immigrants) If you want to come by sea train, get off at 'Museum Station'. This is 'Wolmi Culture Street Station'. It is right in contact with the busiest place of Wolmido. This is a place where various restaurants and amusement facilities are gathered. When you think of Wolmido from a long time ago, many people will think of this place.
All kinds of restaurants and sushi restaurants are lined up along the sea. The famous Wolmido amusement park is also right here. Vikings and disco bangs here are famous for their thrills, right? Along the sea, to the left, you can see many unusual sculptures. There is a sculpture that catches my attention.
This sculpture is a monument to the Incheon Landing Operation. Wolmido was the first place occupied during the Incheon Landing Operation. I'm kind of obsessed with how many sacrifices there must have been.
Besides the sea train, Wolmido has a unique means of transportation. yes! There is a boat that goes directly to Yeongjongdo Island. That strange looking ship is a cruise ship.
I'm not riding that today ^^; The ferry from Wolmido to Yeongjongdo departs every hour on the hour. Conversely, ships from Yeongjongdo to Wolmido Depart in 30 minutes The price is 3,500 won for adults, 1,000 won for children, and 10% discount for Incheon citizens. I don't sell shrimp crackers. (If you ask how much) You can also ride a car, but a car is 7,500 won. Bicycles are 3500 won, but riders are free, so you only have to pay 3500 won in the end.
The driver's own boarding fee is included in the vehicle fare. At first, I paid 7000 won because it included a bicycle. You gave it back The waiting room is small. how cool is the sea breeze
No air conditioning required The view from the waiting room is also beautiful. A ship from Yeongjongdo has arrived All the ships going to and from the islands close to the west coast look the same. This is Sejong No. 5 Bicycles can be parked in the empty space below.
It departs from Wolmido Island in Incheon and goes to 'Gueup Batteo' in Yeongjongdo Island. It's a short ride, about 15 minutes. There is also a peony in the middle. It's the stairs going up to the cabin.
If you're wearing a hat, be sure to hold it. I saw a few minutes of hats flying ㅠㅠ I can feel the travel atmosphere. The seagulls are already raging Among the seagulls I have experienced, Wolmido seagulls seem to be the most active ^^; The cabin is on the second floor. It's so close that there aren't many chairs inside, so it's like a spacious waiting room. In fact, most of the time I enjoy the scenery outside.
If you go back, you can go up to the 3rd floor. But the seagull is already waiting It's like threatening to get Shrimp Crackers, right? The seagull guides the fear and does not run away The flying skills of the seagulls in Wolmido are amazing. (There is a rumor that he is an employee of Nongshim lol) There is also a room on the 3rd floor.
This is the second passenger room. It's cooler here and the view is better But there are too many seagulls I'm leaving now The ship first turns 180 degrees You can see Yeongjongdo Island in the distance. That's 'Gueup Batter', which is emerging as a hot place in Yeongjongdo fortress. Large apartment complexes and state-of-the-art buildings are unique. When it comes to Yeongjong-do, many people only think of Eulwang-ri. They say it's hot here (It seems to be because of its accessibility.)
have arrived It is easily accessible as many people come on foot. When you get off at Gueup Batteo, there is a small fish market on the left. For those who want to eat seafood You can choose from here and go to the restaurant (chojangjip) upstairs. You can go to another restaurant nearby. (Chojang houses have a table setting fee!) I just went to a place with a good view and had lunch.
The restaurant near the beach also has a nice view. I ordered water sashimi, but the quantity was too much, so I was like, 'Did I rip it off?' I was worried (I'm going to worry about it after I eat it) When I asked the price later, he said it was 20,000 won. Is this good value for money? There are many nice cafes and restaurants recently built around Batter. It is also quite large. It's a completely different atmosphere from Wolmido.
Instead of pigeons on the road, seagulls are walking around ^^; (Most buildings are new construction) Seaside parks are also well maintained. (There are many buildings with unique exteriors) (Most of the views are unobstructed) (I will come for a drink in the evening.) (The island on the right is 'Peony Island') The name of this park is 'Seaside Park'. There are also good bike paths around the park.
There is also a museum called Yeongjong History Museum, which I will pass today. A little further along is the Seaside Rail Bike. Fortress municipalities install a lot of rail bikes. The price is 25,000 won for 2 people and 32,000 won for 4 people. Incheon citizens get a 10% discount Infants are free As the name of the Seaside Rail Bike, the starting point is right next to the sea.
The railroad track is on the left, and there is a seaside promenade right next to it. You can run while facing the sea, but the course is straight and flat. There is an intermediate railroad crossing When a rail bike passes by, the breaker automatically goes off.
This is 'Yeongjongjin Park' As a new city, the parks are very well maintained. (The unusual building on the right is a cafe.) I heard the voices of the children and saw that there is a nice water playground (It's cool just looking at it) You can use it for free from 11 am to 6 pm, which is great. really good for kids to play Go up a little bit and you will see a beautiful twin artificial waterfall. The rail bike goes through that waterfall. Maybe your clothes are a little wobbly Still, I'm glad it's a hot day.
(Spray coolly splashes all the way around) Bicycle rental for two is also available on weekends. Cycling around this area would be much more enjoyable. There is also a nice observatory that looks like something out of the Avengers movie. Let's go up (the style that never goes past this) When you go up to the 3rd floor, you can see the surrounding scenery at a glance as there are no obstructions around. The wind is also very cool~ Isn't it cool? (The view of the sea around the park is spectacular) Now I am going to 'Yeongjong Station' for a comeback.
In Yeongjongdo, there are good bicycle paths in the city. I came to Yeongjong Station Public transport (to get here) is also good. (Go through the rabbit hole) Regular bicycles can be carried on the Airport Railroad even on weekdays. You can use the front and rear seats. We wish you a safe and happy camping trip.
Thank you for watching today
