3 weeks in Jeju island , Korea Episode 1 / I will show you everything about Jeju ! / Cafe Korea
Hello everyone I'm Lunami luna. It's been a long time. I think it's been more than a month since my last post How have you been ? I've been doing really well. After coming back to Japan, I quit my job that I had been working for 4 and a half years, and now I 'm free! I'm on my retirement trip lol So I'm in South Korea Jeju island ! my trip will be for 3 weeks. I will stay in Jeju Island alone for 3 weeks 2 of my friends were supposed to come but both have been cancelled, so this time I'm traveling alone again as usual Right now, I'm staying in Jeju city I'm staying in here for 3 days I had arrived here yesterday but I was too tired to film I didn't study Korean at all so I couldn't even order the food at a restaurant and I almost missed the food but finally I manage to get one last night I would like to go around this Jeju city today Right now I'm staying at a place called Mir guest house It's only a few minute away from here it's a nice location It's a very clean and cute hotel, so I'd like to show you later on For now, I'm going to take a walk along the beach, and after that, there's a traditional market, so I'd like to go there By the way, now I'm at the Yongduam rock it is famous because it looks like a dragon's head.
Jeju Island is very famous for seafood , and you can see female divers fishing I haven't done youtube for such a long time So I forgot how to do it. now I'm a beginner again I guess there are eating some seafood over there I'm happy to hear real korean lady's talking as I watched in korean dramas I really regret that I didn't study Korean at all I was studying a bit, but native Korean is really difficult I hope i get better while I'm here ! I found a cute cafe ! I haven't had a morning coffee so I'm going to have one There's a bridge here, so let's cross it It looks like a photo spot it's busy ! Let's have a look there are many Korean tourist I'm so glad to hear Real real Korean language I have watched a lot of Korean drama though It's so frustrating that When I want to say something it doesn't come up so today's plan is to walk around this jeju city and I would like to have a lunch at the market and after that I will have to change some money so I will go to do it I think I will go to new jeju city or i will go to the airport to change money I thought I can do that in near my hostel but it seems that there is nothing like that I think it's because I'm staying in a local living area there's no place to exchange money at all, so I'll either go to the airport or go to an area with many hotels to get some cash You don't need a cash at all in Korea I can use a credit card everywhere I have money that I want to use so I would like to exchange it so when you travel Korea at least Jeju island , You don't need to carry any cash but maybe sometime you will need a cash so you better change some money at the airport usually not necessary I have some left over usd so I would like to change that usually I don't exchange the money at the air port but in jeju I will recommend to do that so Finally , I arrive to the market. Let's go inside I like to come to the local market I can see the local product also I can know the local price so I always go to a local market is this hairtail fish ? wow ! there are all fish ! wow ! It's on fire ! food area so I wanted to eat something at the market but I don't like seafood so much I don't like meat either so there was nothing I wanted to eat so there was a restaurant I had passed before it was recommended by the lady at the hotel where I'm staying at it looks really good so I would like to go there It looks like a fusion restaurant It's a soba noodle restaurant it seems to be soba noodles made with oranges which is a specialty of Jeju Island I want to go there and it's really hot today so I wanna eat something cool so let's go ! i'm here ! I'm waiting it seems really popular place there are many people waiting ok so it's here ! I ordered green mandarin soba and Inari zushi looks tasty They told to me to mix well before i eat I will try some soup first nice ! completely different from japanese soba It's delicious when I eat with this green mandarin I'm going to eat Inari zushi as well I wonder what's in it ? Carrots and seaweed? and eggs Yes It's Inari suchi lol Japanese food ! it was really good I'm back near the hostel , so I want to get a bus to go to the city so I'm buying a bus card which I can buy at the convenience store i will buy it there and I will show you the hostel Can I get a T-money card ? T-money ? yes a bus card please It's 3000 KRW I got it ! It's about 300 yen for 3,000 So i put 15000KRW in the card bus riding cost is about 1100 KRW so I can ride a bus about 10 times I arrived at the hostel This is the hostel I'm staying hello It's so hot today! Nice weather! yes! It's nice weather (in Japanese) My room is on the 3rd floor and It's very clean I can cook here and I eat a break fast here as well so here I normally spend some time and there is a terrace so nice yesterday there was movie on here this are showers and toilets and there is a powder room as well This is my bed so finally I changed money I'm walking around the jeju city I am not so hungry but I'm wondering if I should eat ? so I have been walking around not sure what I wanna eat there is not so many places I can eat solo I think , in Korea they eat with someone so that is their culture so not good for solo traveller I wanna eat like pork BBQ but I will have to eat for 2 people It's a bit tough it's more fun to travel with someoen in South Korea I guess I wanna eat a ginseng chicken soup wow I found a restaurant with a long queue Black pork BBQ is very popular in Jeju island so I would like to try that if you can't speak the language, you won't be able to interact with it, so It is pity that I can't eat what I wanna eat i will look around what I can eat here so I'm at a tofu restaurant for dinner It's in Korean It's really busy looks so popular are you ready to order ? yes please is this tofu? that's right. This is spicy pork, this is seafood and this is beef ok so can I have that plase I got some side dishes this is kimchi and some veges I think this is kimchi as well and some beans this is chopsticks and some towels is this water kimchi ? It took me a lot of time just to exchange money today. I'm only doing sightseeing and exchanging money today It's not spicy and it's delicious Everything is delicious isn't this amazing ? can you see it ? you see ? It translates like this but I can't read it without wi-fi so there are times I can't read it it's very convenient.
