No matter where I go, there are certain things that I carry with me absolutely everywhere. And if I don't have my backpack, well, there are certain things that are always on me no matter what. So I'm gonna make a hybrid video between an everyday carry and a what's in my backpack, 2024 edition, to talk about what's with me everywhere that I go. So let's get right into this. You
we'll get into the backpack in just a bit, because first I want to talk about all the stuff that is with me at all times, in my pockets or on my waist. I would call the items that are specifically on my person as my everyday carry items. And those are things that no matter where I'm going, the same things are always on me at all times. But let's get right into it first off, and one of the most important things that I feel like I use all the time is a multi tool. I carry the
Leatherman arc everywhere that I go. I absolutely love this tool. It's got kind of everything that I would ever need, everything from a hammer to be able to hit stuff with, obviously, to really nice little pliers if you need that use. It's got a great knife on it, the Magna cut knife is phenomenal. It has a pair of
scissors on it, which I use the most out of any of the tools. It's got Phillips head screwdrivers, flathead screwdrivers, all sizes of them. It's got nail files, metal files, it's got tweezers. It's got just a little bit of everything. There are a couple other leathermans that are a little bit smaller than this, but I personally love the pliers, because I do use them a lot when I am helping out with my pressure washing company. So it comes in to play really nicely. Overall, this is my go to tool. I absolutely love this
thing. I've had it since it came out about a year ago, and I'm a big, big fan of it. The second thing that is in my right pocket, which I believe to this day, your little fifth pocket on jeans was designed for, and that is AirPods and AirPods Pro I carry the AirPods Pro two. This is the USB C edition, and I used to carry a bunch of different headphones, one of them being the AirPods Max as well. And I found that these just keep
getting better and better. They're always with me because of how small they are. It's so great being able to have a pair of headphones that is this small, that sound really, really good, that have great noise cancelation, that have really good battery life with a rechargeable case, USB C recharging. It's just hard to beat these, especially if you
are an Apple user that uses iPads or phones or computers, being able to have these seamlessly switched between all your all your devices. It's just so convenient. They sound really, really good. I love them. I carry this with me everywhere that I go, and I use them a ton switching over to my left pocket right here we have the stream light wedge XT. This is a flashlight. Now you may be saying to yourself, what do you need to carry a flashlight for your phone has a flashlight? Well, first of all, the flashlight on your phone kind of sucks, and also it's just kind of annoying to have to take out your phone. It's also really annoying to actually hold your phone when you're trying to use it as a flashlight, and, more importantly, a flashlight on a phone only has a very small output. And I personally love having a very powerful
flashlight on my person at all times. Lots of reasons. Obviously, the first one being that it's just nice to have a right flashlight if you need to, if you're taking a walk or you're in the woods, whatever, and you want to basically be able to see further. That's great. Also, from a self defense perspective, a really bright flashlight is very beneficial, because it can temporarily blind an attacker if that were to happen to you. And as you'll discover, I am very much into the idea of protecting yourself and having tools on you at all times that do protect you. And this is just one of many, but it's also just a really nice flashlight, USB C, rechargeable, which you'll see a theme of, and everything in my bag, it has to be USB C. It has to be rechargeable. And then I can
have one power bank that does that for all my devices. Just charges everything up so stream light wedge. I really like you can either just quickly press and hold and it will turn on to full power and then let go and it goes away. Or you can double press it and it will stay on. You can double press it for a little bit of a lower beam and a higher beam. So really good
battery life. I like the fact that it is flat because it's much easier to hold in your pocket. It's a little less bulky. Before carrying this, I carry the macro stream light, which is another light that has about the same output power of this, but it's a little bit more circular. This one's a little bit more comfortable to carry. And before that, I carried the
micro stream, which was also really nice flashlight, which is a little less powerful than I wanted. So this is what I've been carrying about six months or so, and I really, really like it. I love having a flashlight with me. I use it all the time, and so do my kids. So they always like asking for a flashlight if we're going on hikes. The next thing in my pocket is palm pepper spray. I personally think that everyone should carry pepper spray, male or female, regardless of what you do. Pepper spray is a fantastic tool for self defense.
It's really good to be able to potentially keep an attacker away from a longer distance, which is great, but it's also a really good tool. And personally, why I really like it is because it. Really, really good against wild animals. So if you had a wild dog come up to on a run, or you're out and about and something happens, it's great being able to have that, because even if you are someone that carries a gun, that's not always what you're purposely trying to use a gun for, to immediately pull out and shoot someone's dog or shoot something or whatever. But this is very nice to be able to have. And I
suggest that everyone, everyone carries pepper spray. It's very easy to carry. You can keep in your pocket for a long time. It sprays pretty far and doesn't really go bad. So it's nice to be able to have a bunch of these with you. Another thing I really like carrying are these little Listerine strips. I obviously
love having conversations with people. I talk with people a lot, and I try as much as I can to just be able to have these readily available, because it's never great, obviously, talking to someone with stinky breath, but if you like, have mints or Altoids or gum or something, it's more bulk in your pocket that I don't really like carrying. I also like that you can kind of quickly put one of these in your mouth, and you're not having to worry about, like, chewing on gum or a mint while you're talking to somebody. So if you just suddenly are about to strike up a conversation, you can just throw this in, get some fresh breath and be able to continue the conversation. I like how small and easy they are. I just buy them in bulk off
Amazon, and I always keep these in any pocket. Great. You should have them if you don't already. And last but not least, obviously, a very important device that I carry with me everywhere is my phone. And I personally am using the 15 pro
max right now. This is the phone that I've been using since it came out. Really big fan of it. Great cameras, pretty good battery life overall. Really great phone. And from a wallet perspective, my entire wallet is actually just a little MagSafe pop socket wallet, so it only holds three cards in this all I have is my ID and one very important credit card in the unlikely event that a place I'm trying to buy something from doesn't take Apple Pay. But besides that, I really just use this case and nothing else. It's really, really simple to get the cards out and be able to access but it's also not bulky, and I also like specifically that this one has a pop socket built in.
So this is the pop socket MagSafe wallet. I love having a pop socket on my phone. I just think it's so convenient when you're using your phone for a long period of time. So I'm a big fan of this, and I don't carry a wallet anymore. The only
time I ever carry a wallet is when I am traveling plane travel. I will have my wallet in my backpack, just in case, for some reason I need anything else, but it's not ever on me, which I really like, because it takes a little the pocket bulk away, which I'm a big fan of. And technically, the last thing that's always on me, not necessarily in my pocket, is the Apple Watch Ultra two. Is what I currently have. I absolutely love having the ultra two because of the extended battery life. I personally wear my watch all the time, even when I sleep.
So I just charge it every once in a while, maybe every couple days when I want to just throw it on the charger if I'm showering or whatever, and it works really, really well. I've been a big fan of it since I got it. I like the ruggedness of it. I like the style of it. I like that. I can also change bands and make it look a little nicer if I'm trying to dress up. So overall, been happy with this watch. I continue to upgrade
Apple Watches whenever they come out, because I feel like the new things they're adding are always beneficial to someone like me, who really uses the wash a lot. So that's my watch. So that's everything that I carry on my person at all time, other than a few different things that I won't share in this video, but that's with me everywhere that I go. And I'd love to know what kind of stuff you carry on you personally. So comment below as you're watching this video, tell me what's in your pockets. I always love knowing that stuff. So let's talk. So let's talk now about the backpack. If you're like me, I carry a backpack kind
of everywhere that I go, because I like to have a bunch more devices with me and chargers and all that kind of stuff. And usually if I'm out and about, it's because I'm doing something that would require this anyway. So I like to have a backpack that's very well organized, that has all the stuff that I would need at any given point that allows me to work when I need and travel. And this backpack, I really, really have been loving,
I just switched recently to this nomadic backpack. This is the 20 liter water resistant travel pack, I think they call it. And I've really been loving. And I saw someone else make a video of
their everyday backpack, and I really liked what I saw from the backpack. And once I got it, I've been a huge fan of it. I always look for organization when it comes to backpacks, specifically in the tech side of things, because I have lots of cables, lots of chargers, and I like to be able to access things quickly and efficiently, and I don't like mess. So this backpack does a really good job with that. I also like, even though it's odd, it kind of stands up by itself, which not all backpacks do. A lot of backpacks naturally just kind of
fall down, which I think is kind of annoying. So I can set this down, and it keeps its rigidness, which is nice. It's also very, very comfortable in the back to carry. When I carry it for long periods of time, if I'm walking through an airport or whatever, it's very, very comfortable to carry, which obviously is important, and it just feels very well built. It
is a little bit more of an expensive backpack, so I would expect that, but I've had a bunch of different backpacks, and the zippers and things feel like they're kind of a little bit more flimsy. These feel very rugged. The whole thing being water resistant is nice, because if you just spill something on it, or if it gets dirty, you can literally just pour water and wipe it off if you really wanted to. So I really like that as well. I. Also that it has these little handles on the side if
you want to pick it up and carry a more briefcase style you want, you can I also realize that on both sides they have this flexible water bottle holder or, I guess, essentially anything, if you wanted it to be able to be held. I always carry this Yeti with me everywhere that I go. And even this Yeti, which is a 36 ounce Yeti very easily. You
can see that this just stretches, and you can very easily just put it right in there. And I like that how when it's not in there, it's not just ugly and bulky. This actually magnetizes and it stays nice and nice and clean attached. This backpack is also nice. If you are someone that doesn't carry a lot of gear with you and you actually are going away for just maybe even a day or two, this little section right here in the middle can actually open up and expand the backpack from, I believe, 2020 liters to 30 liters by just expanding itself and doubling, or almost doubling, its size. So when you open up the middle compartment, which I'll show you in a second, it can actually hold a lot of clothes and things, so I personally always have it compacted down here. Okay, so
let's get right into the pockets and the organizational side of things, which is super important in this front pocket, which is the one that I access the most. So in my case, what I access the most are cables and different ways to charge the different devices that I have with me. So you can see what I really like about this backpack is this organizational system, all these little pockets. So I have a USB C cable there, another USB C cable here, a watch charger here. I also have a little anchor mag safe power recharging for your phone. So most of the
time I will actually charge my phone a different way, which I'll show you, but this is nice. If you're just, like, walking around and you want to have just extra power on your phone, you can just slap this on the back. Still has the pop socket, which is nice, and it will charge your phone. This is also usually what I'll just hand to someone. If someone's with me and they're
like, you have an extra phone charger, extra cable, instead of giving them like a power bank, I just will just kind of give this to them. Let them let them put this on the back of their phone, and then I'll just recharge this every, every once in a while, if it goes dead for some reason, in the bottom here, I carry this Zender. This is initially what I got when I got one of my power banks a while back. There's actually a lot nicer units out than this, but this really serves just the purpose of charging my power bank really fast, because I use my power bank kind of to charge everything. But when I do get to a hotel or somewhere where I'm staying for a longer period of time, I will plug this into the wall because it has two USB CS as well as two USB A's. It's got a fast charging output so it can charge my power bank very fast, which is nice. So I always have
this rarely available. Whenever I get somewhere, I plug that in, and then I charge my devices. And the other side, it's kind of hard to see, but I carry a couple pens with me right next to the pens. I carry these little field notes in this nice little pocket that's very conveniently located right next to the pens. And then this little top compartment here, I have this little portable fan that is USBC powered. It
actually has come in the clutch a couple times when I was hot sitting down somewhere, and I could just turn the fan on. But it's also a little power bank. So I don't even know where they got these, and I don't know why it's in my backpack, but I think it's a cool little device also in that pocket, I have just a little SSD. I don't use them very much anymore, but when I do, that's where I keep it. I also have inside there a little
anchor, USB C SD card and micro SD card reader, very small, very, very nice, because you can actually plug this into like your phone, your iPad as well, but super portable. Just plug that right into USB and you got a SD card and a micro SD card, which is really, really nice, very small and convenient. So that's the front pocket. This next tiny little pocket here serves one very, very valuable purpose to me. I actually don't really put anything in it, except the fact that there's a cable that is connected to the inside part of the backpack, which you'll see to my power bank. So what's great about this is it feeds the cable through a little hole in the backpack. But
anytime I suddenly need to charge anything, because my entire rig that I carry with me, everything is USBC, I can just unzip this instantly, just pull the cable out, leave it plugged into the power bank in the thing, in the backpack here, and just be able to just charge any device, which is great, because whether that's my phone or my AirPods or my camera or a computer, an iPad, anything that I want to charge, I can charge because that power bank can actually power anything. And it's great being able to just pull the cable out plenty of slack from it to just plug it into whatever you want, and then just put the cable back. I'm not having to get the power bank out at all. It's just the cable itself, and I don't really put
anything in this actual tiny little compartment. It's just the cable and I can instantly access it, which is super useful. This next one right here is where that is actually being. Fed into. And this is actually really designed as a very multi, multi use pocket, depending on what you're using this backpack for. You'll see here how the cable is extended to this and
connected to the power bank right here. Now, if you're someone that doesn't use a power bank, you don't have to keep that connected. I also can just go like this. If I actually was going to use this pocket for the other purpose, I actually don't use this pocket for what it's really designed for, which, if you open it this way, it's designed where that extra 10 liters of space that you can open up this would be kind of your like Weekender backpack, where this gets much, much deeper, and you can put clothes in here, because it folds up really easily. You can put clothes here, and they have a
bunch of other compartments for stuff. They have one that you can access from that other compartment as well, really designed for clothes and just Weekender type of stuff. I don't carry any clothes in it, so I don't actually have much stuff in this pocket. All I actually have in this pocket are my custom in ear monitors. The only camera that I really ever carry with me everywhere I go other than my phone is actually the Osmo pocket three this camera has been just an incredible little camera to keep with me everywhere that I go. I've used
it so much for random videos for myself, also even for my video production company, having a camera this small with this good a quality, and being able to literally just keep it in a backpack or even in your pocket, and still get amazing results. Is beautiful. So I tend to keep this in my backpack all the time in case I suddenly need to get some additional shots, or if I'm, you know, vlogging or something, when I'm traveling, I tend to bring this with me before I even bring any other camera. Now, because it's just convenient, it's not that convenient anymore to carry big cameras with you. And the fact that I have something this small that still has that good equality is great. I just keep this in here all the time. I
really, really don't worry about it in terms of throwing it around it, it's pretty rugged. It does a pretty good job, because the little built in case that it comes with so this is always with me, the fact that in 2024 we have cameras this small that can do what this camera does, is magnificent. And then if you see how this is laid out here, this right here holds my power bank, and on the top is where the that cable that feeds through the front is actually plugs in. And I can also plug
out the things into it, and I can take out the power bank if I needed to. But what's also nice is that when I want to charge that power bank, because that same port that charges stuff is the same port that charges it, I can actually just take the cable right out of the front there and plug that into a USB charger like the thing I showed you earlier, and it will charge that entire power bank while in the backpack as well, so I never have to actually take it out. This is probably the most important thing in my entire rig. And this is the anchor prime 27,650 milliamp power bank. It's really, really nice for a lot of reasons. The first is the fact that it has a 250 watt output, so there's nothing that this can't charge. So I can
charge my 16 inch MacBook Pro. I can charge iPads, I can charge phones, I can charge lights. I can charge anything I want, because it's a very big capacity. I can charge things a lot. But also, what makes this one super unique, which is
amazing, is the fact that it recharges incredibly fast. So this has two inputs that can simultaneously be used via USB C to recharge the unit. So even if this thing is entirely dead, you can plug up to 250 watts in, I believe, to actually recharge it, which will get it from zero to 100 and literally, like 15 minutes or 20 minutes. It's ridiculous, and that is so nice, because I use this all the time. But obviously, if it goes dead, if you have to wait for hours to recharge, it's not as useful this I could literally have 15 minutes to just plug it into a wall outlet nearby and just charge it really, really fast.
It has all this detail on the screen as well. So when you're plugged in, it will show basically, when you're plugged into something, it will show how long you have left of charging that type of device. So if you're plugging in a phone, for example, it'll basically show you how many more hours it can keep charging that device. And it's really, really nice for that. It'll also show its life cycle, and you can also connect it to Bluetooth to your phone to see the status of it. You can set up the little display to show you how many times you'd be able to charge the preset devices that you have on here.
So for example, I can look and see that with my current charge on this unit, I could charge my iPhone 15 4.5 times. I could charge my iPad Pro 1.5 times, and it will show the battery health and all that. So really nice, convenient little things. But just having a power bank in here that is that powerful is great, because there's nothing it can't charge. And like I said, every single thing that I have, phone, air pods, cameras, iPads, even that fan, but batteries for my camera, the multi charging unit for my camera, everything is USB C, so that can charge everything, which is really, really nice, because I don't ever have to worry about finding any other cables. On the other side of the backpack here. Actually, this
comes with this, but nomadic has a like glasses case that's just built into this little thing, and it has a nice hard coating around it. So if you need to throw sunglasses when I travel or whatever, instead of just throwing them in the backpack or having to bring your case with you, you just throw them right in there. It has a glasses cleaner and everything in there. And it's great on the flip side of this specific section, the part that actually flips up this little compartment, I keep ibuprofen.
And this is like little medicine holder, if you technically wanted to keep anything else, really, all I carry with me is ibuprofen in case, you know, you get a quick headache or whatever. I always like having a lot of those with me. Because, for some reason, people always need, you know, just some ibuprofen. They're always asking if someone has any. I like having it. This is, like, my extra cable compartment. So any cables that I don't use that often, but it's still nice to have, really just for other people, but like a lightning cable for older iPhones or a USB micro cable for some of the things that still have that I really don't use much of the stuff in this compartment, but I like to at least have it, because there are times that you come across some random device that does need other charging, or a person that has a different phone or whatever. So I like to keep all that stuff with me. I
also keep extra batteries here from my Sony A seven s3 when I travel, or the FX threes. I have extra batteries and the extra rechargeable unit for the batteries. So I keep those in there as well directly below here, keep some cough drops. Keep some tide pens, which are nice and convenient when you are traveling and you suddenly get a stain on your shirt. Being able to just quickly pull that out is great. That's everything that
goes in this pocket, and the only pocket left here is your final pocket that you use, obviously, for iPads and computers. Inside of here you have a couple different compartments. They have, obviously your main one here behind the Velcro that you normally put your computer in. And then this would be more for the tablet style, because of the fact that the only thing I actually travel with on a regular basis is just my iPad, which I'll talk about in a second. I only just use the main compartment here, but this additional one is designed more for tablets, and you can carry, you know, obviously an iPad in there, or a smaller device, if you want. But all I carry with me, from a computer perspective, when I actually travel now, over the last maybe six months or so, all I carry with me is an iPad. So the only time I ever carry a
computer is if I specifically know that I'm going to do editing a ton while I'm gone, which I really don't I just carry the iPad Pro. This is the 13 inch M for the newest model. And I like the 13 inch iPad because the fact that I do use it like a computer so often because I'm traveling, and it is my only device. So I carry here in the magic keyboard with a little stylus sling on the back so that it doesn't fall off when you're magnetizing and you're throwing it in and out of your backpack, this stylus sling, I think, is really convenient, because it makes it so that you can just kind of carry it quickly without it falling off. That is the only device other
than my phone that I carry. I like just it being as light as possible. Honestly, the thing that weighs the most in this entire bag is the power bank and the water bottle that's attached to the side of it, but that is it. I still have lots of pockets available, but I only carry really what I need to I tend to try to keep as minimal as possible and accessible as possible. All those things that I mentioned, I know exactly where they're at. So if you ask me to get something out, I know
exactly where to find it. I always put it right back and I try to be as organized as possible. This is my favorite backpack for organization, because of those things, but I love watching these kind of videos. Hopefully this was valuable to you, and I'd love to know, is there anything you feel like I should add to my backpack that would make my life even better, because I like knowing what you're carrying as well. So comment below. Tell me what specifically you liked from my kit, or that you think maybe I should replace in my kit. I love
