hello friends welcome back to my channel uh today we will be looking at how to do the oracle drag installation on virtualbox so basically uh we will be starting with the virtualbox config settings uh that is we have will create two separate nodes and then we will do the installation on each of the nodes so before we begin what will be required that i will be just briefly informing you so basically we will be doing the 19c installation i just prefer my older documents so uh what you will require is minimum 8 gb of ram on your laptop or your system then along with that minimum 50 gb of free spaces hard disk for each of the nodes and then you will be required at least windows 10 or 64-bit configuration so we have already downloaded the softwares for from the oracle websites and then once the software is available with you then you can uh so basically we'll require the oracle grade infrastructure software along with the database software so just download both of them for linux operating system so basically we will use doing the oracle uh installation on oracle linux the operating system okay and then we'll create the two separate virtual machines and so let's start with a configuration on the virtual muscle okay so basically we'll create on the new okay virtualbox and here we can see that we have to give the name so we will choose the name as rack1 and then we have to provide the location where you will keep keeping this so i will go to the data and then here we select the location as a vm location okay and here you have to select the type of the windows so i will be selecting the operating system as a linux so by default it will go for a 64 bit based upon your machine configurations and here i will be providing the memory size is 4gb okay and then we have to create the virtual hard disk now then you have click on the create and here we have to select a virtual hard disk and either you can choose uh like hard disk whether it is dynamically growing or or fixed size so i will be choosing a dynamically location and here i will provide at least 60 gb because 90c software requires little more extra spaces so i just chosen a 60 gb okay and then click on create so basically it is allocated the space and in the location you can check it has just located one of the virtual hard disk okay and space is still not consumed but future as it is growing it will automatically consume those spaces okay so what we have to do certain changes in the base memory we have already selected 4gb then accepted and created dynamically so and then again we have given the 40 gb of spaces 60 gb in our case virtual name is a rack one okay then next part is we have to click on the network setting and we will require three different networks so network one will be used for private communication between the nodes network two will be used for public communication and third one will be used for the server internet supply okay so go to the network setting here we have to choose adapter one is enabled and internal network okay we have to choose the internal network okay and then we have to give the name as a public network okay so basically we will get it pub net okay the next is adapter two so basically we will require three different adapters after two will be your private net just give the naming convention as a price net okay private net and then the third one will be bridged adapter okay the third one should be bridged adapter then click and there are certain more changes that is required we will have to click on the system uh sorry on the general tab you have to go to advanced option here you have to select the bi-directional for dragging and dropping your content from to and from the virtualbox to your operating system and then again you have to provide just remove this floppy disk it is not required processor you can select minimum two processors okay next one is optical hard drive so you have to provide the image file from where you will be booting this uh server so i will choosing the artist that is i already downloaded this uh oracle linux 7.8 version uh okay so i just uh provide this iso file so that it can boot from initial boots that should happen from here and then later we'll change the configuration okay next one is your network is also done serial port and then you can provide the set right i will provide the save drive later no problem will choose it right away go to the drive so here we have uh softwares you know 96 software is kept on this location so i will be choosing this one auto mod okay just click on ok so next is your these are interviews it's also done this time it's done okay so just click on ok and now we'll click click on start button this machine will start and it will start from beginning okay again you have to just select the iso file click on start and okay so here we can see the installation process started with click on first tab that is install oracle linux 7.8 and then press enter it will automatically boot from the image file that we have provided that iso file so it is moving further let's see what all files are getting populated so it has read all the iso file now it is moving further so the first welcome screen has come to our screen that welcome to arrival linux 7.8 here we have to select the language of the operating system we'll click on the continue button by default so basically there are multiple options are there uh for the installation summary we will have to choose one of one by one date and time we have to select your current location so we are in india we'll select this location as india language we have already selected keyboard is also selected installation source we have already provided next one is software selection that is very important so we will be doing the server with gui so we'll either you can select uh these two mandatory that will be required during the time of compatibility one of the development rules so these two and security tools so these three are very important for your installation but we'll suggest select all all of them to avoid any last minute surprise so we'll be selecting all the options so basically it will install all the associated packages with during the initial installation so remember we are doing the two node rack installation and we are currently doing the operating system installation and once this will be over click on done so we have selected the gui based installation for oracle linux operating system next one is installation destination where we will be keeping all these files so basically this is a very important step you have to create all the partitions over here so just click on then click add disk wait sorry you just have to select it and then click on done so it will be populate the here you can create a new mount point so by clicking on plus button you will be able to click and create different mount points your first mount point should be a boot mode okay so we'll provide one gps point space next we'll have to create the slash mount point that will be like uh we'll provide it at somewhere around 10 gb click on add next will be defining swap space it should be ideally it should be 1.5 times of your physical time but will be keeping somewhere around 5 gb okay just click on add amount point sorry this i just missed something i will have to delete it and add it once again uh click on swap and we'll provide the spaces 5c 5g okay add more point next we have to create slash tmp as a another mount point of at least 5 g okay and then we will create around 38 gb of u01 or u02 or whatever the preference you will give so basically we will use u01 as a 38 gb of space click on add mount point so basically all your configuration as different different mount points are created so we'll click on done once we click on the done it will choose for accept all the changes so it will list out all the changes that it is going to happen in the background we click on accept changes or we can do the cancellation and again make the custom partitioning okay we'll click on accept changes now our next part is network and host name and security policy so we will check the network and host name and here very importantly we have to select the host name so we'll provide the html rack one okay click on apply and now on all the three network that we have chosen we have to click on configuration so that ips can be defined okay so we'll refer the document list that i have what are the different ip addresses that we need to give okay so let's uh start now once again our first network your 0 1 or in our case it's 0 3 is [Music] 192.168.56.71 okay

so i'll go to this network configuration here and within the ip4 i have to create click on manual options and here we'll provide the idea as 192.168. 168 dot 56.71 okay 56.71

56.71 and in the net mask you have to provide 2 5 dot sorry 2 5 2 5 2 double prime dot 0 and then you have to plot 0 as 0 0 0 okay once it is done just click on save and now you will choose the second network so it will be our private network so we have to choose the configuration over here and within the ip4 we'll check the manual entry and now we'll look at the ips that we are going to use for this one 190 to 168 10.1 okay 192. 168.10.1 255.255.255.0

0.0.0.0 okay click on save now we are good to go ahead click all settings should be on click on done next security policy change the content done begin the installation so here we have to select the root password so i am keeping very small password and will and additionally you can create the users so we are not creating users let's see in the future if it is asking us to create then we'll do it okay and for a few minutes it will keep on running and later once that will be done then we will be good to go it so basically now the actual installation of operating system software is going on so it will take a little while like the 15 to 20 minute it depends upon your system's processing capacity for time be waiting and i will be pausing this video once it is finished then i will again arrange you okay as you can see almost 1000 binaries has been installed and remaining thousand binaries will be done very soon once it is done it will go for the remote once that is finished then your installation will be almost over will look once it is finished so just wait for sometimes i'll be right back okay as you can see the installation is in progress i will be requesting all my friends whoever is watching this video i will be requesting them to be subscribed my channel so that uh you will keep on getting all the updates in futures uh and keep watching our videos there are multiple videos that will be coming very soon and you will find lots of oracle dba as well as linux related uh videos in my channel so be sure to subscribe channel keep watching keep learning keep selling almost 1500 binaries has been installed so far so you can see almost 1900 binaries has been installed so far that is almost about to finish let's wait till it finished and then we'll see what happens next only few binaries are left so learning oracle data is very simplest thing you can do and there are lots of scope in oracle database if you can see our installation is almost finished it is doing the post installation step task let it complete then we'll look further i guess it will take five to ten minutes of time once it is finished then we'll progress further okay so basically the post installation task is still not finished but i will be a little bit uh discussing with you guys that uh this entire steps can be used for uh oracle linux installation on virtualbox so people who wanted to learn how to do the installing linux installation on virtualbox they can also prefer these videos uh so basically very simple steps are there so it is it will not take more than 30 minutes of time within 30 minutes you can do the uh linux operating system installation on virtualbox so with the very few clicks so you have to just uh scroll through the videos and you will be able to understand how to do the linux operating system installation on virtualbox machines so that is what i wanted to inform everyone so let the post installation task finish then we'll look for that so basically we have to create a user so i will be creating one user give the name as test okay keeping the same password click on done so basically this is our third tutorial in oracle rack tutorial series so we have initially looked at the basic architecture and component of the rack installation uh rack database so we have learned what are the different component and what are the benefit of using oracle's like databases so if you haven't watched our that video then you can just go to my channel and look at the uh series in that you can find those videos and uh you can learn about what are the different components are available with oracle correct once you learn that one then we'll move to this video that we are preparing in this video so basically you will be doing the rifle uh you are just preparing the operating system for ragged database software installation so this is our next video that we will be we have created for uh understanding of how to prepare your setup for like installation and so the first post installation task is almost finished once it is finished it will ask for reboot once that reboot is completed then this this task will be over okay so our post installation task is almost finished now it is generating the initialization changes so let's uh let it finished and then we'll see the next reboot option over there so finally our post installation task is completed now it is asking for reboot so we'll click on reboot option and we'll see what happens next okay so it is terminated now it will be going for the reboot so here finally our oracle linux has been installed successfully so it will going for the this is further so now we have to select uh license information will click on all the license agreement option i will click on i accept the license agreement click on done next click on place configuration so the entire installation process is almost complete now your welcome screen will come up your user test user is here so click on the not listed user i will click on root user pass on the password now we will see the next screen so here we are we have done then successfully done the installation of oracle linux operating system on virtualbox machine again it will be asking you for the language welcome screen page so keep all default setting just click on location services to off then click on skip then start using oracle linux server okay so this is your final few steps that is required for the installation so now we will open the terminal and we can see the rack one and your host name and here we have to run the df5 to see if all the mount points that we have defined is available or not so almost all the mount point that defined is here 1 gb of your boat one point 38 gb of u1 then tmp mount point is there slash amount of 10 gb is also there so almost 6 gb operating system has been installed 3.8 gb is still available with us so in this fashion the entire uh your operating system installation has been successfully done in your upcoming videos will look how to how will have to do the cloning of this uh existing node so that we we can create a rack to uh host name okay so for the time we will finish this one so here you can see the rack one is one of the nodes so we have to create rack 2 also by using the cloning method so we'll create a duplicate schema of this duplicate node so you don't have to do entire installation process again and again and then we'll do the certain network configuration changes and that will be your notebook preparation so basically in this video we have prepared one of the nodes for the rack installation there are still a lot of things we need to do but for the time when we are stopping here and then upcoming videos we'll do further processing okay so we are stopping this uh we're requesting all to subscribe my channel and support and share so thank you thank you once again for watching this video and have a great day bye you
