New BMW iX3 2021 Review Interior Exterior
hello guys and welcome back to a new video finally i have a proper electric bmw to review and today i have with me the new ix3 SUV from BMW it's a full electric car but before that if you are in you can test drive and stuff like that anyway check out the website and now guys let's review this new bmw i want to give you the technical detail i will go in the interior we will talk about the the comfort the quality materials we will talk about a little bit about the technical details in the beginning and also the price i cannot give you the price because it's differ from country to country but i will still add it on the screen so you can see you can make an idea of where is starting the price of this new BMW ix3 full-electric finally thank you BMW and to be honest the quality in the interior the quality the feeling of driving it's like a proper bmw and that's make me really happy uh the only downside is that the car it's built on the older platform of the x-free so the shape of the car the platform is the same uh and they try to fit inside the battery the electric motors and all that uh technical uh stuff for a proper electric car uh in the future we i really really wait to see a proper electric car on an electric platform from bmw but before of that let's start review the car here is the key guys kind of the same key as you find it on the new bmw i like very much that it's very light one of the lightest this key on the market uh and also guys check this out the car come with automatic lift gate we will talk a little bit later about the space in the trunk and all that stuff also you can close it from here press a few a few seconds but the thing is that you have to hold it all the time until the the trunk is closed so you cannot leave the button on anyway if you lock the car you have also, of course, the car come let me go on the other side it comes with um keyless entry so you all you have to do is just have the key in your pocket and then if you come here you put your finger around here if i'm not wrong and then you can lock the car check this out the car it's locked it comes with electric uh folding mirrors also here is the the the place if you put your hand and you want to open the door you can open it without any problem by having the key in your pocket uh and also the the mirrors are folding out you can also stop the mirrors you have an option inside so you can you can block it to not fold and unfold every time you lock and unlock the car so now that you see the key guys um let me start with the lights i will leave the key here because you don't even need to use it and let me turn on the lights i really want to show you the lights first time because those are very important in the nighttime so i just turn on the lights i don't know if you can see it so well but the car come with full led lights in the back the same design as on the x3 you can see the led light right here the blinkers the taillights look really nice and always bmw has some beautiful beautiful uh design on the taillight so you can see it even from the back here so you can make uh a better idea in my opinion the x3 actually this ix3 body it's it's beautiful it's slick it's nice um and yeah the fact that they use also this latest technology it's really interesting also here you have a nice mirror beautiful mirror in the same color as the car shape design here very similar i like the fact that they add this glossy plastic here on the leg of the mirror then you have on the down part uh a camera here because the car come with 360 degrees cameras it's amazing when you want to park the car it's a great system i will show you when we go inside the car as well blind spot technology in the mirror glossy plastic even here on the interior of the mirror big mirror so you should have a great great visibility and going in the front here let's go to the light here also full led lights in the front the same same system as the x3 have it also the turning signal led everything here is the latest technology bmw adaptive led so those lights are also adaptive in the nighttime so you cannot blind the other traffic participant and it's just insanely good and also if you look closely there you can see that they work on every single detail pretty nice so classic and beautiful i always love those bmw uh lights always always from years and years uh i think they make such a nice such a nice design in terms of of uh lights anyway this is the light guys now if we go a little bit forward you can see that here in the front we have the biggest changes and you can see the front grille here we have some glossy plastic a flat one so you don't have any air intakes they try to make it as much aerodynamic as possible if on the normal version of the car you will have that grille where the the air come inside here you don't have so much space where the air come in just a little bit here you can see that they send somehow the air here and then the air will go up a little bit so inside will go a little bit of air but not so much so it helps the aerodynamic of the car much more we have a camera right here in the middle so for that system 360 degree system also the bmw logo with blue around there so you know that this is a special electric car when you see that blue around the logo also the hood of the car it's nice it has some nice shapes and lines uh right here on the hood it make it look much more interesting and also sporty it looks much sportier then we have also on the bumper here they also try to make it as simple as possible so it will send the air around the car here uh it comes with six parking sensors in the front those sensors on the side they are used also for blind spot technology so that's great also you have somehow some some kind of air intakes right here that uh lead the air around the car so for a better aerodynamic it helped the range of the car at least for those electric cars the the front of the car uh have to be the slick as possible uh the smooth as possible so the air will go easily around the car you know like a bullet then down here you have the rudder for adaptive cruise control emergency brake and all that safety features and also uh here it's closed you can see it has some clappers that are closed right there if you look closely so the air cannot go inside on the down part we have some chrome design on the down part right here but overall it looks really really good i like very much uh the front part i like that they make it uh much more aerodynamic so for an SUV it's pretty nice it's pretty slick and also what i observe is that the down part here the ground clearance in the front it's pretty big you know so that would lead the air to go down there a little bit easier so that's that's pretty nice also you can see they had some kind of plastic there so uh the air can go around the car and under the car much more much more easier so that's nice so they put a little bit of work here even if it's a ic platform they still put a lot of work in the car then around the wheels here they add some kind of plastic protection i like that very much because those plastic around the wheels will protect the car the paint in in terms of scratches and stones and all kinds of stuff so in time from rust will be really really protected also you can see the eye right here i come from electric or plug-in or you know it's it's something with electric so i like that the way it looks and i like the fact that they add it here um then going forward also on the down part you have some plastic and also they add some kind of skirt here that make the car much more sportier and it looks nicer with that chrome also the chrome element on the car look pretty interesting you can see it make the car much more luxurious look in a way and going in the back of the same story the same plastic around the wheels here to protect the paint uh i like that then if you go up here around the windows also the windows are tinted windows in the back i like the fact that it has this glossy plastic between the windows chrome design as i said before and also chrome design up here on the roof on the roof rails so that gives the car a little bit of style this chrome also on the roof there you have the radio antenna in the same color as the car i like it also it's pretty aerodynamic and even this roof spoiler in the back here um the way it comes here with this glossy plastic look really spectacular and also you have the brake light here led of course and and i like i like this design i like very much the roof spoiler the way they they design it it's pretty nice and if you look from the side you can see that they really try to make it to squeeze the back a little bit like a coupe shape for aerodynamic of course other than that going forward here on the right side you have the charging port by the way guys the car come with an ac charging also you can charge it at home for example at a normal socket you will need maybe 20 25 hours but you can charge it with 11 kilowatt at public charging station and you will need maybe three hours four hours but the great part is that you have the chance to charge it also at dc ccs with maximum power of 150 kilowatt and then in 30 minutes you will have 80 full and this is insanely good uh the battery of the car 80 kilowatt 80 kilowatt hour but the usable uh usable battery it's around 74 kilowatt hour so it's a pretty big battery the range the estimated range of the car it's around 470 kilometer maybe a little bit less but you can expect around 400 kilometer i think in the winter maybe a little bit less this is normal for every electric cars also it has 286 horsepower , 400 newton meters so it's a pretty fast uh SUV in my opinion if i'm not wrong zero to 100 around 6.8 seconds it's pretty pretty good for an suv for the first electric suv made by bmw it's not bad at all now we are in the back here the same badge BMW badge with blue around there the camera reverse camera even on the number plate we have led lights you can see it right there pretty good quality i like that ix3 you have writing here in the back other than that the back it's very similar with x3 so you don't know any difference maybe a little bit of the bumpers here they try to make it as round as possible also six parking sensors you can see first one here second one those on the side are used for blind spot technology some light reflectors on the bumper then you have some kind of normal black matte down here and i can say adios to those exhaust pipes it's kind of a shape of the exhaust pipe it's like a shadow of the exhaust pipes a shadow it's left here and behind but other than that pretty slick pretty simple um design so that's the exterior guys i think you can make already an idea i want to talk a little bit about the rims so you can see if i look a little bit backward you can see the rims they try to make it different it's unique it's for the first time when we see some kind of rims they try to make it as aerodynamic as possible for electric cars so the air can float around the wheels really easy so it will not stop or something like that so they look nice interesting um and unique also BMW with the same blue badges there then we have Michelin tires pilot i'll pin five those are winter tires because it's cold here uh and and and then if i'm not wrong those are 19-inch rims uh yes right here you can see 19-inch rims they look pretty good if you if you want to make the car look much better you can add some bigger one but then the range will be uh less than what is now so i i really recommend you to use those that bmw come with now ventilated brake discs in the front there uh and pretty big brake discs in the front even though the electric cars don't use too much the brakes uh i think it still have pretty good brakes in the back here also ventilated or not yes let me see yes they are ventilated brake discs and they are a little bit smaller this time in the front but anyway guys uh in the back it has multi-link suspensions and wrist bone in the front so keep in mind that you have pretty good suspension this is a rear-wheel drive car so the motor is somewhat somewhere uh in the back so keep in mind that BMW keep that tradition of uh rear-wheel drive so that's just an information uh great now the exterior design you already see it the handles you already see it it's very similar i don't know if i miss something but let me go to the front part let me show you the hood guys by the way i forget to show you the cameras there connection drive and stuff like that those are camera for lanes it's reading the traffic speed limit also the sensors for rain and light are right there anyway let's go in the front let's open this hood i like so much this hood from bmw uh it's so easy to open it up it's an automatic lift gate and all you have here it's just nothing it's a plastic right here so no space uh right here they they probably didn't have time to to to work too much on every detail to make a space here but usually if we take this plastic cover off you will see that it's a big big space there around the things right there because it's not the engine or stuff like that so anyway yeah this is the hood i just want to show you pretty fast and this one i have to close it better right now it's good let's go in the back but before let me close the lights because i think you already see the lights the interior it's it's amazing we will go in a second in the interior and i will talk a little bit about the interior as well but let me go in the back as you see before automatic liftgate right here pretty nice also you have the buttons here to lock into close led light up here uh huge entrance i love the entrance right here it's very similar with uh x3 and i like very much this design and this mechanical stuff on the doors uh like the bmw make it it's so small it doesn't take so much space and that make uh the entrance in the trunk here looks so big and so huge and i like that i like very much this design of the the opening i don't know how they call it but i i like them the way they are and they use it on almost all the cars plenty of space here in the trunk you have a flat floor you have this aluminum here it looks classy it looks nice you have hooks in every corner some storage space here on the left side you have even a small led here you have also those handles where you can fold down the seats i will show you in a moment you have a speaker up here on the roof and you can see on the side here also another one on the other side led again those where you can fold down the seats i will show you in a second guys uh also you have the 12 volt port right here and you have a hook for the groceries pretty nice also the quality here on the side it's pretty good you have a flat floor you have also this protection here for the trunk that you can put it like that or you can take it out let's see what it's under here under here as you see not so much space just a little bit of space for the cables and you have this net right here it's great that you can put it here you have space for it so you can use it if you have dogs and stuff like that and you have the cables the the classic cables where you can charge the car at normal socket keep in mind every electric car you can charge it at home but you need more hours around 20 hours or stuff like that then you have this 11 kilowatt charger that you can charge it in three-four hours and pretty nice great quality i like it i like what BMW make with uh with this car and take into consideration it's a platform that it's not for electric cars i think it's it's quite spacious so now let's fall down the seat as i show you uh right here from this handle just pull it like that and you can see you can fall down the seats just in in one second the seats are really really there and they are really smooth as you see it goes really smooth down pretty interesting now guys check this out the entrance in the car it's a huge huge entrance you have a flat floor right here that's something that i like very much and also the quality down here it's insanely good on the floor also you can see that glass roof that looks really spectacular you can open the first part of it it's a really really practical space here in my opinion huge space you can carry really really big items without any problem here and it looks quite quite uh good also if i go on the side you can make a better idea here you have huge entrance um in the car and then you can see also from this angle a little bit better how much space you have right there um in the back really nice also you have left some space here on the legs room the transmission tunnel is not so big so it's pretty okay and overall you have uh you have an impressive impressive space here to be honest i like what i see for an electric SUV it's it's more than enough space yeah great job BMW let's go forward guys let me put everything back and let's go forward one more thing i want to show you right here guys on the seats is the fact that you can fall down only the middle part and then you will have a long space here where you can carry long items without any problem so this is this is really insane check this out it's really really great uh it's really helpful you still have two passengers in the back in the same time you can carry your ski or wherever you want to carry uh very very easily so uh also very very practical thing i like that and the other thing that i want to show you is the fact that here down here you have a handle where if you pull it you can see you can adjust the seat in a straighter position so um how cool is that you can have it all the way on the back so in a relaxed position or you can have it a little bit straighter just like that if you want to carry more items in the back so it's super simple just pull this up and then push it all the way on the back okay pretty hard with one hand but still very practical i like that now let's go to the door before we go inside here we have kind of the same door as the normal x3 a small window big windows that you can fold it all the way down you have leather and high high quality uh materials here on the doors i like it then you have this kind of a plastic mat here in gray you have the speaker right here in gray look really nice the x uh the handle the leather again right here pretty impressive i like the way it looks and also you have ambient light in blue if you look if we zoom a little bit there you can see the ambient light somewhere under here it look gorgeous leather leather here on armrest even here you have this leather and nice quality the buttons in gray i love them i think they take it from mercedes and you can fall down all the way down this window and you can see it's work really fast i mean i like the way how fast how fast the window is closed it's really fast so the the the motor the little motor there it's really good and good quality plenty of storage space in the door bends i like that and then you have another small speaker there the same in gray beautiful color i like very much the quality on the doors great job BMW really really appreciate what you do and if i'm not wrong it has also an led on the upper side here not sure about that i have to check a little bit later but beautiful quality anyway let's go inside uh here in the interior guys those are the seats leather seats the same same design as on the x3 beautiful beautiful design great quality even here on the side we have this leather amazing quality so the comfort is perfect you have the perfect comfort the perfect combination the headrest leather everything is leather side support they are bright enough long enough i'm curious i will go inside easelfix you can install uh two child seats super easy you don't have to take this plastic out all you have to do is just stick it in super super easy so the the design the way they look it's it's beautiful so um i like them i like them very much also in the middle here you have an armrest that you can use it as a a place where you can put your phone or wherever you want to put super fancy and also you can open these two cup holders right there so it's a pretty practical space i like it very much i really really like it also look at the glass roof i don't even need to tell you it's it's insanely beautiful all over the roof there it's it's great behind the front seat you have some plastic to protect the seats some storage space here and other than that let me go inside for the first time inside here in the back and here you have some vents pretty good vents so they feel nice as you touch it then you have the controls for the climatic system so you can change the climatic system the way you want it you can turn it off off and on if you look a little bit down you have some storage space here and then you have two usbc ports super useful these days those are insanely useful so great job bmw i like that let me close the door by the way guys here is a highway plenty of cars thousands of cars pass by if i close the door the sound insulation it's good it's silent it's nice i think you can hear me a little bit better right now anyway let's see the space here in the back plenty of space on my head i like that plenty of space on my knees no problem i like that i can stretch a little bit the legs under the fronts hit and you can see the seats it's in normal position kind of in my position a little bit more backward than my position there and i still have plenty of space but it's always a butt but yeah and you have like three fingers here i think i have three fingers because the battery is under the floor of the car you still have you still have your legs a little bit upper here your knees but i'm surprised that the quality and the uh the comfort it's quite quite good i like it and also so on the back i feel like it's it's bright enough it's big enough and i have plenty of space and yes as i said before look at the ambient light even on the upper side and even on the downside there i'm not sure if you can see it right now here but yeah we have ambient light up and down right here the visibility on the windows it's quite quite good i like it i like the position on the seats i can put the seats also a little bit straighter as i said before if you want to stay straight or if you want to stay all over on the back and you have great great comfort good visibility uh you have another window right here where you have good visibility also you have this place where you can put that net for dogs and stuff uh also you have an ambient light led light here two handles hooks and then you have also this net here where you can put your net i don't know if you can see it so well come on let me zoom just like that all right now you see it good quality on the roof by the way very good quality bmw always add a great quality on the roof and if you look at the glass roof from here you have an amazing amazing visibility i love it i love this glass roof it make it so bright it makes the car so bright so nice uh it's it's really good now let's go in the middle because you have a small transmission tunnel you can go easily in the middle right here uh plenty of space on my knees so you can see right here on my head as well i have plenty of space right here no problem with the space even if i go in the back a little bit like that oh yeah and even on those seats i'm surprised that even here in the middle i feel pretty good i don't know why maybe because they don't make any any uh support on the side you know maybe they make it flat like that and that why maybe even the people the person in the middle can stay really really good and i like that i don't remember if it's on the normal x3 is the same but this this is really really good to be honest and stretch my hand completely stretch my hand completely so you can have free person here in the back without any problem so i like it i really really like it very very much i mean great job with the seats with the space in the back the fact that you can have free person here you can see it has his own space it's just gorgeous guys going in the front here big windows good visibility also we have the Harman Kardon by the way the speakers uh great sound inside the car with those Harman Kardon speakers great quality the leather on the upper side the same ambient light in the door here on the downside as well handle this time here you have an electric seat position you can save it from here lock and unlock leather here on the side leather right here also you have the buttons these great buttons in great good quality as you touch it right here you can also open the trunk adjust the mirrors fold the mirrors from those buttons another speaker so keep in mind that you have amazing sound in this car with these Harman Kardon speakers plenty of storage space right here in the doorbends ixfree first edition you can see it right it on the on this nice aluminium plate normal pedals no aluminum pedals some storage space here where you can put your stuff um as you see before electrically adjustable seat you can adjust it from here in every position you want that's nice and also you can adjust the front part the same great quality high quality seats i like them very much so you already know it from the x3 so you have side support great quality they're wide bright no problem in terms of uh back pain or stuff like that uh they are they're really good and they look also good here you have the controller for the light pretty nice the new one much more fancier the vents right here also good quality nice chrome design all over the dash you have soft material leather stitches uh the car come also with the head up display let me go inside to show you uh if you start the car guys um right here let me start the car right now and you can see the head-up display right there on the screen the quality is gorgeous and you have it directly on the windshield so that's that's that's a great quality if you know BMW you know that they make good head-up display one of the best on the market you can adjust the steering wheel the way you want it up down left right in every position you want super simple manually from down there uh the steering wheel it's also pretty good quality also i like this blue around the badge here great quality leather a nice grip so easy to control then the head-up display you already know it the newest this one from the bmw great resolution great quality i have a full review with this multi-media system multimedia system and also cockpit so check it out on my channel if you want to see it you have different controllers from here you can control different function on the on the cockpit right there so you can change it from here from behind i don't want to go too much into detail i just want to show you pretty fast you can see the consumption and stuff here is the cruise control controllers right here on the steering wheel on the other side also different function you can control from here for example the radio the station the the music and the voice command as well so the overall the steering wheel it's nice it's light the the size of it it's great here you have some armrest leather huge storage space here with an USB c port down there going forward you have electronic hand brake auto hold you have this 360 degrees camera if you press this button you can see right here on the screen uh rear for example right now it's in the rear but if you go back you can see also that 360 degrees cameras around the car so let me see how can you do that if i'm not wrong if you go in the rear yes if you go in rear you can see it right there you can control you can see every single camera right here you just have to press it you have also this uh possibility to see every single camera and around the car also i don't want to go too much into details with that stuff but keep in mind that you have this gorgeous 360 degrees you have this 3D view so where you can see the car all you have to do is just press those buttons you can see where is the car in this moment so anyway i don't want to go too much into detail with this one as well you have three different driving modes port comfort echo pro where you can drive economical comfort to give you the best comfort and sport yeah the best performance you probably know on the electric cars really recommend you to go on echo pro if you want to have much more range the controllers are very similar as the normal bmw you can control from here navigation system multimedia system and everything what is there on the car the only single things that is different here on those electric cars is right here when you have the plan if i'm not wrong the plan here where you can charge you can choose the charging time and and stuff like that and then you have this where is this let me show you you have general sitting driving modes not here carrying car driving profile it should be driving information yes here on the driving information you have this energy flow guys where you can see when you drive uh how much battery you have left and where the energy go and and all kind of information other than that the multimedia system is similar the climatic system it's the same one you have right here ix free first edition one of 100 wireless charging plenty of storage space here cup holders uh the globe box it's pretty okay not huge but okay you have some led light there you have led light on the dashboard visibility is just perfect from the driver point of view and also you have the vents you have this button in blue here uh the mirror is nice and you have quite a good visibility in the back there i think you can see it also led lights up here sos button you can see it simply led light mirror microphone handles you can open also this glass roof if you want to only the first part as i said before uh and you can close it completely the way you want so it's it's super simple other than that great quality everywhere i like it very much and also if you want to see this bmw multimedia system just with the new bmw ix3 full-electric I'm happy that BMW really finally brings some electric power on the market and um i want to see the future i want to see a proper electric platform from the BMW so other than that they did a great job i like the car i like very much what they did with the car and the technology everything here feels like a proper normal BMW so that's a nice nice thing it's a
