I charet you um even I was I was overwhelmed when uh you were trying to um introduce me because the way you wereating on those days is just uh is just so thank you very much. I really appreciate the opportunity given to come and speak here on how we can use we can leverage on um um linking analytics in our data space in our data career. Um I don't mind uh I would love to um hear everybody um speak um introduce yourself in one way or the other. Um I

as I said ear I'm a commercial analyst. I hope the genius um Steve in Lagos here um as TSL so um I would love to meet everyone on the call if I'm no uh no much time um anyone can go ahead just your name and um and probably your um your level of experience I believe that is it is a technical uh space where at least everybody that is joining this call is virtual data it is either a data enthusiast or a data analyst or an upcoming data analyst. So I believe I would love to hear one or two um I would love to hear everybody introduce yourself. Hello confirm you can you heard me? Sorry. Hello. Yeah. Good evening. Welcome success. Hi, good evening sir. Good evening Mr.

Jam. Yes. Okay. So, my name is Success Wa. I am a final year undergraduate at the University of Nigeria. I'm studying business management and I'm excited to be here to learn how to implement or showcase my data analytical skills on LinkedIn and gain more visibility. Thank you very much.

I have um be able to impact it in your your journey as a data analyst because it is quite uh significant. This particular um

particular training or skills that we having or session that we having is what uh what people say if you don't blow your trumpet. is going to blame for you. So you have to keep on blowing your trumpet. That's that's keep on blowing your trumpet. Yeah. So I would love to

hear uh some other people speak. Hello. Good evening. Hello. Good evening. Good evening. You can proceed. Okay. My

name is Mr. Ku. Um I am a student of easy tech cohort 5. You know I'm a beginner learning you know trying to learn and get to a an height in data analysis whereby at least I'll be able to showcase myself also but also um I'm honest of I just decide decide to take this challenge up myself you know so I want to see what I can make out of it. is just a challenge for myself. This is it. Thank you. Yeah, that's awesome. That's awesome. Can you get That's awesome.

Welcome. It's nice nice having you all

here. Um yeah, let me just proceed to share my slide so we can begin. Um, what's it called? You can see my screens. Yes, perfect. Yeah. Good evening everyone. I would love uh we I would love this to be an interactive session as we are not here to everybody's uh still learning because this meet our uh there's no end goal in learning because sorry kindly your mind please so it doesn't have um an ending because in this in this kind space that we have is a very evolving space before you start learning it was a period that exel started people say exel ex I will learn it later I learn it and then after that we have a lot of things that coming out so it keeps evolving every now and then keep evolving so we have to keep learning that I just want this to be an interactive session um and today I'm privileged it's just a privilege thanks to um easy tech academic it's just a privilege to come and speak here because it's not that one of the best out there, but we're giving our best. We're trying

to give to leverage on what we've known and also impact people what we know. Today we're talking about data analyst for LinkedIn success as leveraging metrics to grow your network. You're a data analyst. How do you tend to um show yourself out there? How do you tend to showcase out there yourself out there majorly on LinkedIn? This is very very important because I would say these days um as I said earlier people always say um if you don't blow your trumpet who will blow it for you. Um LinkedIn now is now an avenue. It's not like a job board that you can say I just want to go there for looking for you just want to go there to to check job. No it's just like

a job um what's like an advertisement page where you have to blow your trumpet yourself. you're learning everything you're doing from the beginning. Even if you're learning what you're learning every day is just h just a like a a drop of um a drop of water. No matter how little what you've learned that day is you should continue to drop it and you know there's an English that says that a drop of water makes what makes an ocean. So it's not on it's not a day that the ocean becomes ocean. It's as a result of

drop of water. So anything you learn every day no matter how little it is you need to what you need to what always put it out there that's what they mean by you blow your trumpet yourself you don't know who is seeing everybody today might you might might be feeling like nobody's seeing my words nobody's seeing it nobody's seeing it that's just to you that's why LinkedIn has also infused a lot of technologies into uh the application itself where it would help you even track those that those that have been um looking your profile those that have been viewing your profile, those that have been doing a lot of things in the back end like those that view your profile, those that like you, those that comment on your post, you see the analytics itself. So um I will start with um the first thing here. The first thing here I will start with the agenda which we have um why LinkedIn optimization, why did you have to use LinkedIn? Why did you have to optimize your LinkedIn? What is LinkedIn? what does LinkedIn have to do for you? Um, also you have to how do you set up your LinkedIn? um key components about uh key components or let me say things that you need to put on your LinkedIn to make your LinkedIn more useful as a data analyst because I keep on saying any recruiter that want to recruit if you apply for a job they post 1,000 job out there today a recruiter if you submit your CV and you have been shortlisted internally they will shortlist you internally then go on further research probably you look at your C and go on further research to see Okay, you said you are this, you are that, you this. How do they validate that? Even before interview, you have to go through LinkedIn. I'm telling you categorically.

HR uses LinkedIn as one of their best tool in recruiting uh what you recruiting applicants for roles. So they go on to that LinkedIn page, your name as they put it there and check this person. I said he's a data analyst. He has five years of experience. check they will go through your page and look at how you set it up how is your page are the activities in your page how has it been going so it's very very important then um content and strategies for data analysis that's you being a data analyst how do you put in your content what are the things you need to put out there then networking and engagement then leveraging on ling analytics insights uh how you can leverage on the embedded analytics that ling have in its in its Please confirm you can still hear me louder. Yeah. So while I proceed why LinkedIn while optimization why why does it matters why is it important the first is that LinkedIn is no longer a job but a job but as I said is not like a professional branding platform it is where everybody today brand theirself.

I brand myself on LinkedIn. You brand yourself on LinkedIn. Everybody that is coming there will have to see. Let them

see. Just like you're selling yourself out there. You have to sell yourself out. So LinkedIn is a platform for you to sell yourself out. Anything you anything you learn, anything you know about yourself, you know, you are the one that hold yourself. Everything you

learn, the individual, the skills, um the the the um the leadership skills, the trainings, everything you've put together today, put it out there. That is what they call branding. You branding, letting people know, gaining visibility that okay, I have this knowledge, I have this knowledge, I have this knowledge. I'm learning this, I'm learning that. That's what they call branding. you being able to stand out

when a couple of people or let me say a couple of applicants apply for a job and they come to your own page as a LinkedIn profile and check that this person that says is this is his name Jah let's see his profile how does he look like what has been his um what have been what has he been using his page for LinkedIn is not compared is incomparable to um likes of Facebook Tik Tok um um Twitter It's it's incomparable. It's different. It's traditionally different. So, LinkedIn is a what is a professional branding platform where you have to brand yourself as a data analyst. Brand yourself as a data analyst. That's the first thing and also I will tell you 80% of recruiter uses LinkedIn to find talent. As I said

earlier, for example, uh why we why if we continue this session, we will um every why we have to take one or two person's um LinkedIn profile. So we use it as a as a as a practice session so as to um learn from one another. At least if I'm using your LinkedIn page, it doesn't mean it doesn't mean we are wrong, but just that we should learn from one another. As I said, 80% of recruiters uses LinkedIn talent. they can go on LinkedIn and search data analyst, business analyst, commercial analyst, um um software analyst, um IT analyst irrespective of what they want to recruit for. So you

get what I'm saying? They can go there majority of them 80% and when you talk about 80 out of a sample of population about 100% 80% that takes majority of the of the entire population. So this speaks to the entirety of the population saying that 80% of recruiters make use of LinkedIn to find talent. Then how does LinkedIn help you as an individual? It helps you build credibility and visibility. It shows your true identity in terms of credibility. People will continue to

trust you. Today you started an Excel Excel course. It's easy easy tech academy. First day you you put it there.

Okay. Today I'm happy to share that I started this journey with um Easy Tech Academy. Started the Excel course. I learned this. I learned this. I learned

this. I put it there. The next day, day two or day three, you go, you go there, go back there, you post again. That's what people will now come. They will check your track just like they checking your track record. They check your post and look at what have this person been posting, what has he been learning, what has his growth been. That's credibility. Then from there you gain visibility because people will tend to comment, they will tend to um like your post. A lot of you gain

visibility and when you start gaining visibility that mean people start trusting you start believe no this person this person has this person have this. Then another thing is that it showcase your skills. As I said you learned Excel today. You tell them you learned some if, you learned um index match, he learned concatenate, he learned he learned if error, he learned um vook up all those things. You put it there. So it shows that this person is

what is really skilled in this space and immediately you keep on posting that then definitely they will know that you yourself you're working on yourself as an individual you are not stopping then projects and the projects you you you've built in the past and probably your achievement at the end of the day you picked are the best students in your your cos the academy and things like that it helps you it also grow your uh it grow your professional network meaning you have to call you connect with several professionals in the space. Several professional in the data space, people that are top professionals in the data space. You get to meet them. You get to connect with

them. Um read from their own profile, learn one or two from them from their own post and from there you connect. They they connect back to you. You connect with them. They connect with you. Then definitely you start following them. Start following one another. That

is what um LinkedIn has to offer. I hope I'm still loud and clear and you are following me. Yes, sir. Yeah. Thank

you. Yeah. And also the last one, it increases your job opportunity when you're looking for job immediately. Even if you apply for that job on your oneonone WhatsApp group or oneonone telegram group, the HR will still go back to LinkedIn to confirm your name. I remember one time that I applied for a job. I applied for the job when I applied after applying I just I I think I I saw I saw the job on one telegram group like that one time. So I applied after

applying uh I didn't even thought of um them calling me then later I just noticed that one HR viewed my profile. I did not even remember that I have applied to that company. Then later they reach out to me. Hello are you

jammy this? Are you jammy that? Are you jam this? how I believe uh we have this role you apply for this role and hope you'll be available for an interview chat this no problem then after that I went there you can see as a result of she went through my profile because it was later on I later check the conversation that told me that she had gone through my LinkedIn to check my credibility my visibility there I hope I'm making sense Please. Hello. Hi. I hope I'm making sense, please. And um you sir, I'm not too fast and I'm not Please. All right. Thank you. Um

now we've gotten to the stage where we have to set up your LinkedIn our LinkedIn profile. How do you set up our LinkedIn profile? The first and foremost is what profile picture. Um can anyone just drop in the chat box? Can we have like maybe like five or six people drop their LinkedIn um LinkedIn page in the in the chat box? Sorry. Quickly, please.

Hello. Hello. Can you hear me? Okay. Some are dropping just already. Yes. Okay. Okay. It's because I didn't I I didn't get any um what you call that's why I was so skeptical. All right. I think we have been here. Confirm. You can still see my

screen. I still share my screen. Am I still sharing my screen? No, we can no longer see your screen, sir. All right. Apologies. Let me let me try and do that again.

So please if you have questions please let's drop all questions to the chat box. All questions will be attended to but please kindly drop them on the chat box. You can see it now. Excellent. All right. I think we have Abin, we have success, we have shalom and shalom.

Then we have this. So let's look at this um five um what's it called? One by one according to um sorry let me reshare again I need to share my complete screen so we can we can navigate and see. Sorry. How come you can see it now? Yes. All right. So I saying one of the and the first and foremost says that what says that profile picture and a cover photo. Cover photo is one behind your prof profile picture on LinkedIn. Cover photo is one behind your

what? behind your um profile picture on India. Look at this. This is um this bio say success. So looking at uh who can tell me? Hello. Yeah. Looking at this boy's um what's it called? Profile pics. Um is

this uh is this a professional picture? This one that he snaps. Is this a professional picture? I would love to hear feedback from people. Okay, please if your background is not noisy, please you can unmute your mic and speak. If your background is not noisy, please you can just mic and respond. Thank you. I I said earlier that I want this to be interactive.

Yeah. Good evening everyone. For me it is a professional picture. me sir. Good evening. Good evening, Kinsley. I can hear you. Can go ahead.

Okay, sir. Um, for me it is not a professional profile picture for what is not it's not a professional picture. I think for me it's not meant to be. I think it's a selfie p a selfie picture and then I think it's meant to be on corporate.

All right. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. I I don't know if he's raising his hand and think he's raising. I don't know if you also want to contribute to this. Well, can I can I talk, sir? Yeah, you can proceed. You can proceed.

Okay. For me, sir, good evening everyone. For me, I I'm sorry. I'm I'm I'm just going to use your picture as a perfect professional picture. I'm sorry

I had to say it. looking at this for what the gentleman just said. Now, this is like a selfie picture, you know, and this background thing is a professional uh uh site where you coming to showcase who you are. So, you have to be professional. So, looking at your picture, that is why I'm trying to compare what your picture look like and what I am looking at from what you showed us about. That's all right. All right. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Absolutely.

You're right. Absolutely. Yeah. That's how that was what what I was about to say. I'm looking at this it looks like a selfie and one of my um one of my mentor in the data always say that hey what even if it warrant you going to um all these people that that will snap you with a photograph I mean with their forum with what's it called with their photo lens like a photographer to snap you to give you a personal head shot a professional head shot for your LinkedIn page because here you are showing yourself you presenting yourself as a professional you cannot just use one um one picture in or your gallery that you know it has a fine background or he has a this and come and put it on. He's not professional. So I would want everybody to um to to also invest on that and also what he put in his background there is fine. It shows that he's a he's a

Facebook ad expert and also a sales uh uh sales conversion, lead conversion, ads management and optimization. It's al that that that that makes sense because it it shows what he's majorly into. I'm looking at success. This is perfect to be honest.

Um this is um specifically speaking to what a professional background was a professional because it gives headsh shot. This successful is perfect. Um and her background is is okaying her name and and saying she's a business um she's a she's a business she's a business management business management um also this is um sum to sum to I would advise sorry I'm using your your your profile um to make an example this is not a a professional I still I would uh it would have been fine if you can um go to um those um those people that can that takes pictures that can that take passport for Google they can take you a professional headsh shot picture so you can have uh it's more professional and also at the background they said engineering fine you can it's fine if you can have um like a you can design like a you can go to you can actually use Canva use a like a design tool to design each of those what you are majorly into like the skills that you have the tools you could use as a software engineer tools you could use as a software engineer you can stay in there I can use I can use Java I can use NodeJS I can use Python I can use um can use flutter and the likes and the likes so you can actually do that and make that your your your cover page that's that's that's that and for chinon so I think same thing speaks to chon so you don't have a background uh a background cover. This is not uh this is not a cover for this is not professional. I would love you if you can can change that as well as um your profile picture. They can make it more professional because this just look like your one of the picture that is snapping office in your what you call your seat. So that's what's showing there. So I

think I think that's what the first item on our on our profile set is saying please let's make a professional picture a confirm head shot. It doesn't necessarily has to show your full body. Just need to show your head and probably a little bit of your chest. Can't be all

your chest. Just just add a what a professional ed picture and also a custom cover image. That is the image that will be at the back of your um what's it called? at the back of your of your of your of your picture should be should be more professional. Um, let me show mine though. It's been long. I I updated I updated my my page. Yeah, like this now this like me

now aside from this professional picture confirm everybody can see uh my can see my screen see my screen I'm loud and audible all right thank you I can see the reaction thank you yeah and this is you can see I'm a data analyst this is my professional picture my headsh shot as well as this is um like a background that speaks about tools I can use I can use Excel SQL, PowerBI, Tableau and our programming. That alone, anybody coming to my um to my LinkedIn page already know the tools that I'm focused on that I focused on even without uh without going through my profile, grass scrolling through my my my job what's it called my previous job experience or something like that. So that's one thing I would love us to to please let's embite that. I think that's first and foremost and the second thing is what the headline. Let's look at the headline of those that will pick their profile. Yeah, the headline is talking

about um what you have here after your name senior lecturer at federal senior lecturer at Federal University. Okay. Well, um yeah, you are right. She saying you are a senior lecturer at least you should be more um more more elaborate in the sense that stating what um being a lecturer um what what you can do like what um what's it called to wrote here software developer problem solver um truth seeker um I'm a passionate developer who lives you don't need all this you don't need I'm a passionate developer you can actually put that in your about your about section when they get to know you more. But here solution should be like your core um your core your core focus like you're a software developer you're a data analyst and after saying you're a data analyst you can see the tools you can use but state the tools you can use as well here which is uh which is what I am saying I look at success she said Christian business management undergraduates are uh mckinson Ford alumni tax and finance. I can tell you anybody that want to I want to hire someone now I want to hire any HR and type tax or type finance then definitely success name is going to show why because she already she already stated where she's she focused her own on where she's focused where her major course is that's an example I'm saying same as what you have um Facebook ads manager um lead generation for e-commerce and coach social media expert. If an HR comes in now and search

social media expert definitely his name is going to pop up because HR does not have time to start looking at 50 people pages on LinkedIn. No 50 people's profile any profile that caught their attention that's what they look at and one of the thing that caugh their attention is what your professional picture your your your cover picture your background cover picture as well as your header is very very important look at my own as I said a multi a multi-isiplinary analyst business analyst data analyst project these are like there's no space if a if you want to talk for business analyst like if you type business analyst My name is going to pop up. Data data analytics, my name is going to pop up.

Project management, my name is going to pop up. Data visualization administrative excellence, my name is going to pop up. That is what we are saying. So whenever they mention your name, whenever your name is being t whenever they mention that those roles, those rules, your name will definitely pop up because if you did not align it like that, you will not get noticed. That is the truth. So that is what I'm saying. But um as well you can if you

want to make it simple and make it not look like my own that is somehow you can say data analy you can use can use SQL you can use powerbi can use python you can use r can use t can use microsoft fabric can use azure can use data link and the light can state it there that's in the headline as well as the about section what does about section says about section says highlight your role your skills and career goal highlight your role, your skills and career. Let's look at what the profile that we check. See um she should not even have about she didn't have about um looking at um profile he also doesn't have about section. How do people get to know you this and that? It doesn't have about section and let's look at [Music] um let's success page. Let's check here for Okay, put something there. Wow. Wow. This is This is pretty too much. Wow. This is pretty too much.

Your s shouldn't be more than at least three paragraph at much even more than three paragraph. Premium pricing is not a strategy of what you do. make people offer. So good. My clients call me Abby

H. You can just you can just uh Aba you can just make this uh in a more precise way. This is a little bit bogus. Who which HR is ready to read all this ready to read your about session? This is pretty much too too is too is too bulky. That's that's just my own uh my own side. Wow. This is fine from

Shalom. This is fine. Data analyst, healthare analyst, AI enthusiast, which is beautiful. Beautiful. Yeah. Let's check our about section. Yeah, she's not bad. She said a strategic and result driven data with proven track record leveraging data to drive business success with extensive experience in e-commerce supply chain management. in transforming um complex

data into actionable insight and delivering solutions that enhance efficiency and decision making. Fine. And she stated the skills she could use data analysis advanc automated reporting problem solving and the likes. This is fine. This is fine. It's fine.

This is typically saying I like your role, what you do in your role, the skills you have and your career goal like what you aspire to be. Okay. I aspire to be this. Okay, this is what I want to be. This is what I want to be. Let's check my own

together. I hope you are still with me. Hello. All right. All

right. So, I will not so it be as if I lost my audience. I don't know. Still loing. She's still loing. This is still loading. Let's let's p that um probably um when it gets up. I

think that's me if I had some of time and I also one of the things that makes your profile um key component that is there is what your featured section featured section what does featured section actually do featured section is used to showcase your what your projects or your portfolio or even your CV some impute their CV some impute their portfolio here let me Check shalom speech. I don't know why this is taking forever to load. Okay. Yeah, this is uh this is a bala

feature section. He has to talk about um the post that he had to feature his post and what he posted. featured what you posted. Uh yeah, this is a Bas well to be honest. Uh your feature section should should be should this is this is good. This is awesome.

This is awesome from um Shalon. Um she said um she posted a GitHub page um one of the GitHub page regarding project that she did. This is this is fine. This is fantastic. This is fantastic. Well done. Well done shalom and there's a fish section here for um for is one of the key that will make um um HR uh recruiting professionals look even without going through your your all your posts would have seen some of the projects you've done would have because that feature section is going to highlight the projects you've done as as as at displayed here. That's what the that's the importance of the featured section. So what um so it's it's used to showcase your project and showcase your portfolio. You

have a portfolio. Portfolio is like um a a a branded um a branded page for you where you store all your project that you've done. All the project you've done maybe you've done projects in Excel, PowerBI, Python, SQL, everything if you put it on your system, nobody's going to know that you what that you that you have this project. It's until you put them in a portfolio in terms of you create a portfolio for them. A portfolio just like a folder or a document where you dump all the project that you've done. So and immedately you create that

portfolio, you have to share it out. is once you share it out, put it on your your LinkedIn page, you attach your own um portfolio on your LinkedIn page and from there people could just even without going through your without going through your profile too much, they can just click on your on your portfolio and see the project you've done and wow maybe the recruiter is looking for one of the things that maybe one of the projects that you've done is what is one of the solution that the recruiter is trying to solve in their company. and they will call you. They just give you a

call. Hello, can you can are you available for this this from there you landed your job. That's the importance of you using the featured section. Yeah. And I think the next one

is on the experience and education. Then your work experience highlight key achievements and quantify the results. What does this means? This is saying that for every work experience that you where you worked look at this um what's it called he only wrote Facebook manager Facebook ads manager there's not there's no details about skills or what he has done impact he has made in that job there is none here look at when he was working as a social media marketing specialist at bundless as a freelancer he said the goal is to drive user to fill out an instant form to schedule a free or a Q&A should be able to say something about what you do. Quantify it is when you quantify that's when people know that you've actually impacted this particular um role that you that you that you've worked before. Let's check through other

people's own nothing like that time. This is Soronto. No job experience is just education. The nature of experience yet shalom. Sis Shalom. She currently work as a data analyst. However, she's not she didn't she didn't impute. Wow. where she

worked as a data analy for internship and she was able to you can see said develop an automate an automated an automated solution for routine daily analysis daily analysis task improving efficiency and accuracy by 40%. That's what that's that 40% that she make the particular thing quantifiable. It makes it quantifiable. It makes the particular thing. She quantified what she has thought. Managed and implemented complex data set and which improved data integrity. This alone has said that this

person has worked as a data analyst as a data professional and he has impacted what he is knowledge as a data analyst in that space that he has worked for in that organization. This shows that at least you've truly worked in that organization. This is what this is saying. So there's importance of what you stating your you stating your um the roles um the and the uh the achievements you've done you've made in that particular and quantify it. It is very very important key achievement I like key achievement and quantify your result. Then the next one

is what? When you have on your education please on your education um section you can list your degree your certification relevant. If you have 50 certification Excel maybe from Corsera from EDI from EX anywhere from any academy that you join you need to put it there put it there let them know that no I've been able to um um I've gained this certification I've acquired this certification maybe you rewrote a PowerBI uh PowerBI certification exam put it there let them know that I've I've acquired this particular certificate and this is what I've learned. This is what I've learned. This is what I've learned. Any relevant

project also can can list it on your what on your education section. Anybody you document the what a project relevant project you do it you can you can put it there as well. That's what this is under experience and education as well as skill and endorsement. This is saying that what under skill and endorsement let people endorse your excuse. Focus on what on demand skills that skills that what that are relevant to your industry. You in the data space what's relevant now is what Excel PowerBI and SQL as a beginner you start with Excel then you move to PowerBI visualization to PowerBI is more or less related to Excel because Excel part of Excel is also used to visualize. So when

you finish from ex you can use par it's easy for you to what navigate parl from there you can move to SQL that structure library then from there you can advance your skill and move ahead that's another thing then get people to enjoy your person said is yeah he has excel skills no he's no he has this he's very is very very good. Let people enjoy your skills. I hope I'm still loud and clear and you can still hear me please. Can anyone confirm? Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank

you. Another thing is that you add certification to to strengthen your profile. That is certification you are adding to this particular what is to strengthen your profile. When

uh in uh Udacity degree program and after the after the whole thing I did the capstone project and I was issued the certificate then you add the certification. Let's know. Let them let people know because you need on your profile, they can't start calling you. But it's when they immed your content strategist as a data analyst. What do you how do you manage your LinkedIn profile? How do you manage it? How do you manage your content? The first and foremost is what? Share your projects. anything they

do times. Not long ago, uh one of my uh one of my boss was we were speaking and he said said to me that um there's a there's like a click any task that you keep doing every day, you did it yesterday, you did it today, do it tomorrow, you do next tomorrow, that task that you doing every day, at the end of the day, you gain mastery of it. It cannot go again. I'm going on LinkedIn to post. I'm going on LinkedIn. You might see people, yes,

people might say, "Ah, baby, LinkedIn is is is only talking about the sweet side of people." Fine. This is talking about what he encountered blog age and you can post on LinkedIn. I was reading this project and I ran to I ran through this error and I don't know how to go about it.

I'll be open for anybody to guide your skills. Anything that you learn, anything, even if it's a was a script of coach, a what's it called? Like an article that you want to write or anything that you want to want people to learn or you've learned in life and you want to disc commenting, start contributing to it. It shows that and the more people like your profile, the more people comment on your profile, you gain more visibility because if I sh So with that she gain more visibility. If you not consistently post like that, you consistently post every day, every week, every month and before you know within the space of 3 months, boom on LinkedIn. If you want to be more seen, you want people to see you, you want to get um drug, you want to get more visibility, you need to post. That is there's no more secret to post.

Post fancy or this is not fine. People will complain, might be having this kind of um um anxiety that how will people say what will say about my dashboard? No. Beginning is not always smooth. That is it. No is a lie. Is a lie. So you have to start from anywhere. Start small that project that that's what I say that is not fine. Post it. People

can tell you no. You should have used this color. That color is too much. put into action that shows what cashes you improving. be put into action. So you don't take it as an offense why we be correcting novenue for you to learn because when you post and people give feedback you want to see you post about trend in data analytics as I just said post about data analytics post about it even if you just want to talk about you want about what people has already known what people has already known if you want to talk about pass post it post it already you can post it post it on ah okay I run through this post I came across this I came across that and this is my point this is my is good people at least people will comment and people will see I know this person is also you are also growing you see your progress at every point in time also engage in data challenge you have a community like this like this easy tech academy you engage in when they have um they have presentate in the challenge, do the analytics, build the dashboard, collaborate with people, share your what your experience in the collaboration and from there you know you know that that project you are doing somebody can just see it. That's why you that's how you need to prepare yourself from the beginning. So

and when that when opportunity be um preparedness that's what they call that's what that's what they call success opportunity must meet you lose opportunity you will lose it that's the truth but once you are opportuned you must must be well prepared so opportunity means preparedness that's what that's what means what that's what means uh like me now I'm a statistic graduate I want to talk about probability I'm a what's it called um simple sampling I I can write a piece write article on simple okay simp I I write I'll post it people see okay wow this is Good. This is this is nice. Okay. You also you also preferably you learned um you walk through a particular post on how to use PowerPoint better as an analyst. You can use animation poweroint do that from there people know that you are learning your your your traction on ling will be going will be growing like they will know that analytics for you every time and then that what people are engaging on your post that's that then another thing that we need to know is what networking and is very very important you need to network you need to network connect with people connect with peers influencers anybody connect with people ing the data professional connect with them you don't know if they might be the one to what to refer you I will tell you majority of the opportunity that happen in the data space today like 60 or 65% come from where come from referral opportunity that comes in the data space they come from referral so you have to mingle with people you have to collaborate you have to meet with people connect with people and when you connect with from one another. You don't know he might be working probably your friend that you connect with is working in shell or NPC and they said they needed an analyst in N analyst in shell I know that you are very good in that space that this I have a friend we just recommend you and from there you get a call hello you check your profile and everything you are boom you are fantastic let's give him a call we give you a call ah this is you notice can we can we schedule for a meeting by 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. Yes sir. From there get the job. That's what

I mean by opportunity means what? Preparedness. It means what? It's come out as success. Join LinkedIn group. There are several group on LinkedIn. Data group, analytics group, data science group. Join group on LinkedIn. So you can see latest trend and latest opportunity. Now at this time it's fabric that is trending now in data space. A lot of people now now have to

make use of data Microsoft fabric which is what because it brings work inside Microsoft fabric as a data um um as a PowerBI developer you can work inside Microsoft data science you can work inside a Microsoft so it encompass the whole data space so from there you get to learn a more learn more about um tools in the analytics space trendings in the analytics when you join groups on LinkedIn then engage with people's post when people post and you check the post you like you comment share meaningful comments share um comments that comes from and you write comments for you no comment maybe you you find that that particular insightful. At least you learned. Okay. Wow. Ah, this is very insightful. I I've also encountered this

problem [Music] before. You like that person post everybody everybody in that person's profile will also notice that what you like the person. That's what that's how LinkedIn is being disputed. Also when you're posting tag relevant people tag people in relevant discussion when you have you're talking maybe you're talking about you're talking about academy and you're talking about people doing law or and a community like this you can tag your you can tag community tech you can tag them. So relevant people that in

that community you also see that oh this community is a very active community from this community from there that's that so I hope I'm I'm still I'm still here and you're enjoying me confirm you can still hear me. Yes we can hear you loud and clear. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. Also um you can make use of um using LinkedIn analytics that is there's a inbuilt there's an inbuilt analytics in LinkedIn where you have to you track your profile view search appearance engagement post for example now let's see there's on this uh everybody I can't see from my end but I can only see from my own profile those that share their profile you can Check check check the number of people that view your profile in the last 3 months. How many people view your profile in the last 3 months? You will see it in the analytics session. The analytics

session. How many people viewed your profile in the last 3 months? Can I see um comments in the chat box? Check and let's see how many people your profile in the last three months. Hello. Can you still hear me? I'm not getting respond. That's why I I anybody how many success um levies how many people view your profile in the last three months you sit under analytics you come you come here immedately I don't know what's wrong my network immedately after this your your first p 89. Wow. In the last 3 months. That's

829. That's fantastic. says in the last three months success I mean I say sorry shalom or is this okay success success in the last 3 months I don't know if you can hear me I don't know I can't tell if it's in the last three months so I don't know what is it you don't know yeah I don't know I can't tell if it's in the last three months it just says 829 profile viewers so I I can't tell in the last 3 months or I don't Okay. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. I can I can hear you. Can you hear me? Yeah. Sex is saying something. Hello. Can you hear me, sir? Yeah, I can

hear you. I can hear you. Okay, sir. I was saying that I can't tell if it's in the last three months. It just says 829 profile viewers. So I can't tell if the I don't know like the time frame for that analytics but I just I just yeah I don't know it's not mine is not showing here that's like not showing that. So I can't I can't show you how but immediately after immed you can see from here that immediately after this your uh after this your um after this first pin that's where you get um 79. Wow, Robert,

that's fine. Shalom. Robert 79. That's not bad. I think it was when like if if you open the app and then he tries to click the that small profile picture. Yeah. You know, it's going to show he's going to show that seven. He's going to

say dash in 90 days. 90 days is in the last three months. It's going to show that the number of times people have viewed your profile in the last three months. It's going to show. So, you get what I'm saying? So well um that is just that that's that's just that.

So I don't know what's wrong with my own network. It's not loading very big. So LinkedIn has analytics where you have to track your profile number of people that if you check the analytic pin click on each of those you will see when you post you will see people that engaged in your post. How many people,000 people um think 800 and something people engage in my post? people that like, people that this but if you are using um premium LinkedIn, it's going to further show you some analytics. But we not using premium to

just show you even people that view your profile, you only show like five or six of them for you. But you're using premium to show the totality of people that view your profile for you. Maybe an HR people have viewed your profile or something like that. But if you are using the uh the uh the the free one the free version then you can only see just five people the last five people that view your profile. I think that's that you can leverage on the analytics on the inbuilt analytics on LinkedIn as well that useful use insight to refine your content and engagement structure immediately if you're using this is majorly for those that are using the premium version. If immediately you you

get the insight you get click on the analytics you see they will recommend some insight for you but you need to do more maybe you've not been posting very well they tell you you should post more maybe content that you have been sharing is not engaging or there's a particular period where you shared an engaging content that people engage more so they tell you to always put up a strategy they tell you they give you a strategy that always put up content that relates that look in that line that's what this is Also um we are we are almost at the end. This is talking about summary and action action step. Yeah. At first the key takeaway of this uh session is what this is just about five or or take away key takeaway here. First thing is that what you make sure you want to leverage on analytics link analytics to grow your own profile to grow yourself as a as a data analyst. First thing is what you need to update your profile putting a clear head eshot. A clear esot with a

very good background. The headline must encompass the detailed of what of your role a data analyst a business analyst a commercial analyst with this with this with this. I can use these tools can say commercial analyst commercial analyst um can use Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, SPSS, R, Python. Can put like that. Then your summary. Then in your summary where you

have to put um totality of your profile. Okay. I I um I'm a data analyst with seven years of experience. Um versatile in this used to um trained over 3,000 participants. This is that we can do that. You can put that in your summary,

your your about summary. Also, always add your certification irrespective of how small the certification is. Add it. There is no small certification when it comes to data analytics. There is no small certification. Even if it's the one you collect from the academy, add it on your profile. Add your certification and project. Any project you

build that sit on your laptop, nobody's coming to check your laptop. That's the truth. You should always put them out there. Post it on LinkedIn. Let people

know that what that you are learning. Let people know that you're learning every day. Let people know that you're learning every day. Also engage with your network regular. That is visit

LinkedIn regularly. Comment engage with people's post. Comment um like and share on people's post that you get more visibility. G more get people to see you more people because out of that people get to look at your profile because when you when somebody post something today and you comment wow okay I also experienced this this person will like your own profile as well you like your own post I mean your own comment rather person will go ahead to connect with you while you connect with that person from there you you both connect with each other from there your account grows you gain more visibility you gain more tractions people get to do you more you start selling yourself out there so when when the opportunity comes it will not it will not meet you unprepared that's saying that's essence of all this then the last but not least is what track performance using analytics you can leverage analytics to what to track your performance how are you doing as an individual how are you doing as a data analyst what am I posting that is making people come to my profile every now and What am I not posting or what am I posting that people does not like? Because when you post something that you get few reactions to it, if you get few people to comment on it or few people to to like your post, then definitely that thing is not is not quite engaging. What you posted is not quite engaging. You post something that is engaging, people definitely going to what they are going to engage on it.

That's it. Then that comes to my last live. Thank you very much for the opportunity. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Um, easy techch um, easy techch academy. I stand by for

questions. All right. Thank you so much, Mr. Jam for this amazing and outstanding section. Please, let's give him some reactions. Let's give him some virtual claps. Thank you so much for this, Mr. Mr. Nova or Mr. Kingsley. Wow. Thank you

so much for this reactions. I love this beautiful know. It's a beautiful session indeed. So please, you're going to take two questions, please. Very smart because we are we are pressed for time, right? We are pressed for time. So please, let's take two questions. Let's

wrap up this section right there. All right. So who is going first? I can see some questions on the general WhatsApp community and please I said it please drop your question on the inquir message. So the first question is going to go like this. This question is being asked by Mr. and he's saying is there any significance difference between paid version of LinkedIn and free version of so that's the first question so who wants to go next uh let me take Mr. or

Mrs. Coy suku I'm not sure if it's Mr. or Mrs. Do you want to unmute your mic and just share with us briefly in 30 seconds your question? Okay. Good evening sir. Um my question is um he said we should be posting on a page on YouTube. So I'm asking like if I work on a project maybe a dashboard should I like make it like a PDF or just we shot the dashboard and put it on my Thank you so much. Thank you so much. Let me take the last question for tonight. Which do I take? Are you male

or female? I want to take a female student now. Are you male or female? I want to confirm that. Want gender balance? Female. Do you want to unmute

mic? Okay. Let me take male or female. Let's take your question now please. Male or female? Okay. Uh let me hand over to our no our guest to answer those two questions. The first question, LinkedIn premium. What's

the difference between the premium and the free premium and the free version? The next question is he wants to know when I work on projects should I send a dashboard screenshot? Should I send a PDF file or what format what structure should I use when I'm posting or ling? Thank you so much sir. You have the floor. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you very much. Let me start from the last one that was that was asked. The last one states that um which one should you post? Is it the uh screenshot or is it the PDF format or is it um or is it is it a link or something like that and to be honest is none that you share that
