um i i actually don't know at all i have no idea matter of fact most people don't even understand what terms like nft blockchain or web 3 even mean being on the outskirts of where these people interact can sometimes make it seem like kind of a daunting task to understand what nfts or any of this will do for artists content creators or businesses and helping you understand complex ideas is always the priority for my channel and making money of course so when i found out that the first nft convention was being held in los angeles last month i knew that i had to go to see what happens behind the scenes on these projects while simultaneously pitching a new project of my own so i can make just as much money as they are now we've all heard these stories about how bad nfts can be for the environment and of course i don't care if the world burns as long as i make a quick buck but i knew people would just get mad at me and try to cancel me or whatever so my trusty co-founder ethan is online and myself came up with a way a foolproof way that we can sell an nft project without killing the earth and with our ironclad idea executed to perfection and ready to sell we packed our bags and flew straight to los angeles for the first nft convention los angeles the city of dreams and the city of nightmares too hi happy monday and welcome to nft la live los angeles first convention all about nfts today we're trying to fund a project that we've been passionate about for a while and i really think that we're going to make big moves today so let's go talk around and see what everyone's a lot of people are like what are they doing in the space this and that i think it's hard to forget they also suffer from some of the same things that we all do like they're not fully free that's all i'll say yeah yeah you know they people people got mad when jimmy fallon and paris hilton were showing their apes but like have you seen the parody video for jimmy fallon and uh you guys made it yeah yeah we made it it went viral she actually retweeted it whoa last time you were on the show i asked you to explain nfts uh and you did so in a great way uh which is a very hard thing to really explain to a lot of people yeah you should check that out hey you guys heard of us we're nfc iro oh nice oh yeah we're trying to do uh sort of a project where we bring the idea of the crypto the black chain the whole space like out so much of the digital realm it feels locked into it and that's why we love this convention because everything's so digital especially because nfts rose when it came to uh covet times and so we started a project that we're trying to fund to get more physical nfts as funny as it sounds out there the people who aren't so digital can feel like they're locked into the black chain and we started we started with homages to the classics like this is me as a board ape you know and you guys can each have one of those what's web3 web 3 to me is like completely new infrastructure separate from anything else maybe some of it might fail but yeah if i would if i would have put it in one word it's just the idea of like disconnected i think web 2 everything is interconnected like you can't you can't really stumble anywhere on the net without being tracked web 3 is like kind of like an open sandbox but at least it's disconnected from anything else for better or for worse i guess web 3 is just a step up from like kind of web 2 everything will be interconnected actually but i don't know what would a web 4 look like you know years ahead i'm not too bullish on web 4 yet i think people want to build all these new new worlds with like different rules so i think we need to build web 3 first hey nice to meet you guys you guys into kanye west what about him nft space and also putting a new game into the market a new game like an nfte based game or like yeah so a new form of nft will be launched through that game we um working on a kind of like a pokemon uh battle game arena how about these gas prices huh yeah they suck man are you talking about the real gas yeah real gas you ever pay for yeah do you ever pay for gas with cryptocurrency no i haven't i actually don't play a lot of gas anyways because i'm from new york originally right are your parents like do your parents know what you did you have any parents i did have parents and i do still have them yeah okay and do they know like what you do with crypto do they own any nfts no they don't then uh this is fairly goes over the head yeah yeah so like we have this thing uh nick if you want to grab one or two uh we're we're introducing like a physical that's that's where our nft irl um so we're basically doing like a physical version of an nft in the same way that like the black chain would hold whatever kind of uh the black chain whatever you would hold on that as like your personal owning you basically own this physically but it is an nft in its own way okay yeah fascinating and uh we explain ideas with crypto how did you originally get into this whole thing who was the one that finally finally got you into the nft space i think it was just i saw like the monk the board apes going for like millions of dollars and i started to pay attention to it but into crypto in general i got in by the scam uh bit connect actually i remember big connect that's how i got into it i was listening to youtubers and [ __ ] and um i got scanned i lost money i made money but that's how you learn yeah just one it just makes you want to get in and do it right you know do it right again yeah no matter how many times you get scammed yeah exactly what do you think about gary vee he's good advice here and there but maybe a little too hardcore at times he's a talker for sure he once said in a video that he he has never spit out gum when he chews it he only swallows it because it's a waste of time to spit it out do you believe him uh nascap 100 major major there's no way he does that are really cool music with nfts i might get into that as well what is a crypto punk rapper uh so he owns a crypto punk spotty wi-fi and because the crypto punks are cco which means like you own the cop the intellectual property you can do whatever he wants with it right so he decided to turn his crypto punk into his brand and he uses the crypto punk as his like mask or his alias when he performs and does rap shows he's like one of the first people to do that he's like marshmallow but his head is one of the big 8-bit crypto punks wow that's interesting what would you say if someone said that
