EP #51 Exploring Dangerous Cave with Local Woman | An Adventurous Day in Pai, Thailand

Wow! There are lots in here 115 baht for this. That is around 250 INR It is great to get all these in a foreign country for just 250 INR Fruits too. Pineapple, pappaya and watermelon Gave us cutleries too. Awesome breakfast. This is how we make friends at all the places.
I made many friends after coming to Pai I had mentioned about an airport here. This is it. Unfortunately it is closed. It is not functional Flights dont come to this small airport On the way I saw that there is a hot spring here. It is a wild life area Good system. If I take one ticket, I can use it anywhere here. It is valid for one day If I cover most of the places here, it is a profit for me Or I would have to pay 430 baht again tomorrow.
It is slippery here 4km through this forest to reach the hot spring This is steep When you go to other places, see how the forest department people behave, What all people can do inside the forest, regarding the activities and views, What all facilities have they made, how much has it helped to develop tourism Our people are to see and learn all these from them They have made an awesome road for people to go to the hot spring Awesome view Waterfalls and nature It is steep and I feel scared too Finally I have reached Sai Ngam hot spring. I think only I am here. I dont see anybody else They have made the place look so good. This is the hot spring It is a natural hot spring Do Not mention board is kept here See how crystal clear the water is It think it isnt too hot. But it is really good. Very neat and clean They have made an area and facilities for people to sit Let me see if the water is hot. Accordingly we shall get down. It is hot.
Let me get down then. I shall freshen up and go to the next place I have removed my dress. Let me get down in the hot sprig Since it is morning, only I am here as of now. Hot water. And the water is crystal clear See how clear the water is You find such clear water at very little places. It is not so deep here
At some hot springs you will see smoke Dont know. It may be very hot there The water is so clear. I can see the stones so clearly My camera fell and has a scratch on it. That is why I am not dipping and showing you You can see once the water is still You can see it so clearly The water is very clear Do come to Pai. Lot of activities can be done here I shall show you one by one Sujith Bhakthan bathing in hot water in the middle of a forest When you get into a hot spring, take a bath in that nice hot water There are nice bathrooms here Nice shower and a neat toilet Let me have a bath I had my bath. Look at the facilities they have made inside a forest Shouldnt all these be appreciated and learnt from them? Paying 400 and coming only here wont be worth of it Pay that only if you will see all the places in here Beautiful place and roads. Nobody out here.
It has begun to drizzle. This is so beautiful I think we are going through a pass You can call it an untouched nature's beauty There is a shop here but it is closed. Nothing else here It has begun to rain Cannot move forward without wearing my rain coat Or I will get wet This is fun. I love the mountains when it rains
It is so nice to be at the mountains when it rains But if it rains a lot, we cannot get into the cave. That is also there That is how that incident happened at Chiang Rai near Myanmar border Probably it will stop raining once I wear my raincoat It is cold here. I didnt know It is a hill station and you can come with your families here You can take a vehicle and go around. I havent seen an Indian here so far We have been driving for so long. The road is going up and up.
We have reached on top of that pass now. There is a view point here Shall go around to see the place Shall keep my helmet here When you remove the helmet, your hair stands like this Its ok. Who cares. We are now 5000ft above sea level The view point is there. A shop here. It is written that they sell petrol Berries and dry fruits kept for sale You have different kind of noodles here.They dont have maggi

We are here to see that Can see tourists taking pictures here Beautiful view even though there is fog You get packages from Pai town to see the cave and other places If you pay as per their rate, they will take you there It is a half day tour. Some cafes this side Pai was featured in some Thai movies That is when this place became famous People began coming here after Covid Lot of Chinese tourists are visiting this place You can see lot of local tourists too You find people from West too. ie from Europe and Australia Many come for cannabis too You shouldnt stop from coming here because of that.
There is no crime or issues here. It is legal and so people are using it and going Issues happen when all these are done behind the wall I am not supporting all these Beautiful view A beautiful place without any issues or trouble That was a police or army check point Myanmar is close by. That's why When you see check points, do slow down You shouldnt go fast when you see a police like done in our country Slow down. They will ask you to go and you can go We are now going to a cave Took a deviation from the main road. Another 9km to go This is a small village here A beautiful forest area once the village got over We got into a forest area again You get to see this greenery only during monsoons Otherwise it would be dry I loved it. Look where have we reached.
A school inside a forest! Finally I have reached near the cave I had seen many videos of this I heard that it is amazing Some shops here and the place doesnt look crowded now Let us go inside I think we have to go with a guide She is taking me with a petromax light in her hand Have taken fish feed too. Looks like there are fishes inside He is also coming with us Are you coming with us? We have to walk a bit to reach the cave We have reached beside a river This is Mae Lang river and the cave is on this side Awesome. This is Nam Lod Cave. There are many caves here But we are supposed to go only to some caves This is some religious place here Where is she taking us? Good I wore my sandals '' She is saying that some landslide took place here This is amazing Beautiful place. It is written to walk carefully not hitting your head We just have to put the feed into the water So many fishes. All waiting with its mouth open. I am going to feed them You should see the way it is opening its mouth They are huge Are they put to starve? People who got in are coming out now.
Lot of bats in here I still remember my father lighting this at home Not sure if you get this now a days. It has a lantern inside I forgot the name. It is a delicate thing That is what is lit. I think it is a one time use thing It will take 4-5mts to work. Once it begins, then it will work Actually electricity chargable lamps can also be used But this gives a special feel. You have to pump it like this.
Only then will it work I have this at my house near our water fountain If you put fish feed there, this is how it is I dont know which fish it is. Feel like frying and having them Now we shall go inside with this petromax light All these can bee seen in sun light Rest can be seen from inside You would be knowing about the cave incident at Thailand, That is another cave I think that is 10 times bigger than this. We are going into the dark now They have made a bridge with bamboo sticks. We are going over that now. They havent kept any lights in here That is the way we came through Amazing. I have been to many caves but first time to one of this kind Because of the rains, water has overflown over a bridge. So we cannot go there We can go to one of them now All these would have been formed after water flowing over it for so many years This is an awesome experience. Steps are made here
You have to look and get onto it carefully They have found coffins made of teak in here People would have got inside caves like this unknowingly and brought in troubles She is saying when it rains, water flows over this All these are formed by water flowing only I cannot see it here. I think it is a 10 floor height building size in here It is so silent in here Just the petromax and our sound I would have slipped now. Can hear us breathing in here Have to walk up and go All these are very cold. You have to come and see these. There are such caves at Andaman too But there look different there That looks like a tooth only All these are again in great heights here When we got through a small area, this is what we saw If you dont walk carefully, you will slip. Here it is a guide for maximum 3 people. Even if you are single, you get a guide If you are 4, you will have to take 2 guides To know the silence in this cave, we wont be giving any background music for this A drop of water falls every minute and that is how this is formed here All these are formed in so many years Nearly 180 people like them work here.
Her number is 72. They can work only once a week She was saying that many people dont come here now a days We came this way I feel like I am standing at the top floor now. I have no idea where am I. If we had come without her, we would be lost All looks the same. We cannot understand anything. That is why many incidents and accidents take place I am just following her. Should be careful. It is slippery all over This dog had come with us. It was waiting here till we came Lot of bats there. But how come they are not flying away when light is hit on them? So many of them We got out after seeing cave number 1 Saw a cave cottage guest house. It was written if you stay there, they take you kayaking and to other caves But all those are possible only when no risk is there Now on, it is a risky period Monsoons have begun It was exciting and I loved it I have been to many caves. But this was a different experience for me. Holding a lantern and going was the main highlight They have bamboo rafting here. But now because of excess water, it isnt there
Hope you liked it. I loved it. We missed the bamboo rafting. If we had come 2 weeks back, we could have gone. We cannot get everything during monsoon They got out and prayed from here They have a resort with rooms here Superb Now we have to go back the whole route we came. Or can go further more Let us see what to do next Isnt that better? I am hungry after all that walk She is cooking for us. Smells awesome. When some cook, the aroma would be amazing.
Too good. I ordered Kapao kai Stir fried chicken and fried egg too It has begun to rain How will I go back? It will be raining for sure It will rain near the pass Thai cuisine has basil leaves I love the flavour of basil leaves It is awesome. They will give you fish sauce separately Chilli and fish oil. You can add if you want. Some wont like it.
