[Music] There is an inbuilt feature available in Windows 11 to backup the user's data. By using this feature, you can save the user's data in the network location and you can also set its schedule so that after how much time the user can back up the data. The data gets copied from your system and saved in the network location. When you save the user's data in the network, if by chance the data gets deleted from your local machine, gets modified or gets lost or damaged. In such
a situation, you can retrieve the data from your network. For this, you will have to use File History in Windows 11. By using File History, you can secure the data in your network. For that, I have Windows available. Two systems of 11. This is my source system. From this system I will save the data in my network location. Network location can be any of your operating system. To complete this, we will do step by step confession. From the scratch,
for that we should first know the IP address of our system, so for that we will open command prompt, type cmd then ok, you have to type the command here, if IP is confined then its IP is 192168 15011, I do this. Minimize Now we will go to the system where we want to save our data, so let's go to our second system which is my network system, this is my network at another location. This is a PC, we need to know the IP address of this system, for that we will open the command prompt here. To open the command prompt, you have to press window plus R, you have to type cmd then OK, yes, but you will type the command, entered the IP. The IP of this system is 192168. 15016. The IP of the source is 151. The IP of the destination is
156. It is necessary to have communication between both the systems, so for that we use pin command. Let's use PIN space 192.168 1.11 Entered now, communication is not available here, the reason for communication not being available may be your firewall, for that you have to turn off the firewall in your system , for that we open the control panel.
After the Control Panel is opened, you have to go to Windows Defender Firewall option, turn on Windows Defender Firewall option and in the Off section, we can keep our firewall off. Yes, I do it from here, turn it off, OK , I close it. After closing, you will have to turn off the firewall from the source PC also, so let's go to our source PC , here also we will open the control panel. Open the control panel. After this, you have to go
to Windows Defender Firewall option, then turn on Windows Defender Firewall, turn it on, click OK, close it, now we check the common of both the pieces, for that we run command on Y. We will do P space 8506 communication is available with your destination PC in which PC we save our user's data, this is how I do close let's go to our network PC here we will run the command again P space 19850 so here But communication with your source PC is also available, we make it so that after closing, you have to keep in mind in the network that the password should be available on the PC to which you are connecting. If you want to access the network, now I will open this PC here. I have an
available drive whose size is 4G. We will open this drive. Here we will create a directory entry. If you want to share with full control, then create a directory. To share, you have to right click, then you have to click on properties, then you have to go to the sharing tab, then give advanced sharing, share this folder, then you have to go to permissions, then you have to give full control, I give it full.
Control apply ok ok then I will do it. After closing here we go to our source PC. Source PC has come here. Here we have to enable file history. Before enabling file history, we access it and see
that Can we access our destination computer i.e. network PC from here or not? For that, you have to press Windows plus R key. You will type here two time bk sl and then provide the IP address of the server. This means providing the IP address of your network PC. Clicked on OK. This wizard opened in front of you. This wizard means that
the password is not available on the PC which you are accessing on the network. So first we enter the password. let's set So let's go back to your remote machine. To set the password on the remote PC, you can use graphical or command line. I
set the password using the command, for that you will click on Start, then you have to search CMD, then you will click. On the Run Administrator option, a wizard will open in front of you. You have to do it. Yes, then you will run the command on Y. Net user is the name of the user, Deepak, set the password. Net user is the password. You can set any password. Here you can set it, I
do it, exit will run again, access your source PC again and see that the IP of your remote machine was 156, OK, so now it is asking you for the credentials of your remote machine. Here we enter the user name, suit and password, if it was OK then here your directory will open which we had created in our network computer, close it. Now we will transfer the file history to our source PC. To configure the file history, you have to open the control panel, we will type control no ok, after the control panel opens, you have to go to the file history option, now the message is coming in front of you that file history is off and not available. The drive was found to recommend that you can use an external drive for files. Connect a drive. Refresh this page and use Network Location. We will use Network Location here. If you do not have this option highlighted yet, then For this, you have to select the network location option, click on the network location, then this wizard will open in front of you, you have to type here, time , IP , 506, share name, Deepak, then select folder, so here was your folder which we have It was created in your destination computer i.e. network computer and
the free space added here is 402 GB. We will click on OK, so inside your file history you have added the network drive. Then you have to click on the turn on option, as soon as you click on turn on, your file history will turn on. If I click on turn on, your file history will turn on. Now
here the option of turn off is coming, if you click on turn on the file history. If you want to turn it off, you can turn it off. Now let us see the remaining settings. What is available in our system? First, we click on the Exclude Folder option.
There is no directory added here yet. Here you can add those directories which you do not want to be backed up in your network. [Music] Then we will go to Advanced Settings. By default, the default time period of your file history is hours i.e. 60 minutes If you want to change it, you can change it 10 15 20 30 3 times 6 hours or 12 hours or on daily basis.
You can take backup of user data so now for testing I will show you with the help of 10 minutes then we will apply it for 10 minutes next option is keep save version so [music] ants fi can give me the data If we want to save it forever on our destination computer then I will keep it as For Ever default then we will click on Save Chain option and the next option available is Restore. If you want to restore the personal files that you have taken backup on your source PC, then we will use this option, so currently it was run on 828 PM, so we do it once, Run Now, so it is run now. We verify it, we minimize it, here I have a file available, I create another file here, then I create a new file, I give the name of the file, I just open the data. Place a file in the downloads section of the PC. In the directory named downloads, your data will be available which you may have downloaded from the internet or you may have manually saved that file there. So I would have created a directory there. Let's name it, open Internet Download, inside it I create a file, name the file data, this file will be created here, also create a file in the document, new text file and name it document data. We have excluded the videos,
so I have placed the file inside the video so that I can show you the difference. Here we have created a file giving the name video data, we have placed it in our source PC, I do this. After closing, I make you verify. Let's go to our destination from the file history. On the PC and see whether the data of its settings has been transferred or not, then let's go to our destination or remote machine. We
had created this directory and opened it. Here you will find a directory available for the user or our user named Vipak Suite. A directory will be created here with the name which is available on our source PC. Open it. After opening it, you will get the name of the computer from which computer this data will be available. If you open it, there are two directories available here, Confine. The settings of your file history will be available in the confined directory of end data, which is here in the EDB file i.e.
in the data base file, but your data will be available in your second directory which is if you open the data, then there is one directory entry available here. We had transferred the document, so right now none of the files of the document are available here. Some data was available on our desktop, so now only one file is available on the desktop, some files we added later. Also created, that is, we also check the video which is not synchronized yet, there is no file available here, you can wait for it for 10 minutes because we have set the schedule for 10 minutes, so for that I I will open the desktop and wait for a while.
The file has arrived here, that is, 10 minutes have completed. Let's check the rest of the directories as well. We had saved the document, so this file is available here. And here its time stamp is also available that at what time this file was updated on your system, we had made a file available in the videos but here none of the data from your video will be copied here because we have named the video. I had excluded the directory, by doing this the data will not be available here, I go back to the desktop, I came to the desktop, here the files which are saved from our source PC are available in our system, now I go to my source PC and delete the files. Let's recover these files,
that is, let's restore them on our source PC. Once I reach the source PC, first I delete the files, then both these files are available here, so I delete this file from here. Recycle is done, we also delete this from Win. If we restore the data, we will restore the personal files.
The wizard opens in front of you. We have to delete only one file on the desktop. The file to be recovered is our data file, we will restore it, then this file will be restored from your destination PC. The wizard will open in front of you on your source PC. In this wizard, the location will be available. If the file is yours, then we will restore it on the desktop. The file was restored, it comes on the desktop, we close it, I also do it from the back document, we delete the file, recover it and see it , then open it and the document will go to the PC. If the file is available in the document,
I do this, shift delete, yes, we do this, to recover, this dialog box is available to me, so we open the document , this file, we do this, restore this file of yours. Your source PC or file will be restored, you are getting shown here and once again your dialog box opened where you got the confirmation that your file has been recovered, so this You can back up your data by enabling File History in your system. The advantage of setting a schedule on your destination PC is that if by chance you forget to backup the data, if you have set the schedule So the backup will automatically take the backup at its own time and save it in your destination PC. If by chance something goes wrong in your system or the file gets deleted then you can retrieve your source from your destination. We do this on the PC on which you are working.
Close is the last option of select drive, so we have this location available in the drive. If you want to add another network location, you can add it, so for now I am not aware of it. If it is not needed then I will do it because it is canceled. The last time you ran it was 840 P. Now it will run again at 850
P. If we set a schedule for 10 minutes, then it will be 10. After 10 minutes, it will run automatically but its default time period is 60 minutes, so I close it, so friends, in this way you can get the file history in your system which is of Windows 11. There is an integrated feature through which you can save the user's data in your system on the network, so friends, that's all for today.
