A Tour Inside a Speedrunner’s Home: What Money Buys When You Can Have Anything!
Hello, everyone. It has been quite a while since my last house tour. In the previous house tour I had next to no stuff.
But now, over these many years since then, I have bought some things, many cool things. And honestly, I hope that by the end of this video, most of you will have seen something and gone, “Oh, I didn't know that existed. That's actually cool. I would like to buy that too.”
And I can be that for you because we all have things that we don't know exist, but that would make our lives better. So I may not say... This is the brand that I purchased but I might be like, “Hey! This is an item that you should also buy.” And it might enrich your life. That would be cool.
I can also just show off that you know, I actually have stuff now. Which you know wasn't a thing before. Okay, we'll start by looking at my PC set up here.
I've got my monstrous PC here. We'll put what I actually have on the side here the exact names because, I'm not going to remember at this point. It's a 4090, super expensive one.
Dumb. I had to replace the other 4090 I had and it was like the only one they had available at the time. I've got some hard drives just to remove some stuff from my PC at this point. Something to recharge my phone, Just a little bit of a stand. I am a person who likes things to be perfectly dark, so I have no RGB and stuff.
But this is what the system looks like. Wow! These things in here are 2 x 10 gigabit network cards that connect to my servers in the other room, which you're going to see in a bit. They're pretty good. The graphics card is water cooled. The CPU is water cooled and this down here is a Blackmagic capture card has 4K 60 FPS ports which is not something you can traditionally find anywhere.
It is fairly expensive, but it works really well. Around the back, while it's going to be hard to see. There is, an always on power supply down here and a bunch of cables going through the wall to the other room, which is where I keep my servers and stuff because they are kind of loud. There’s nothing else important to show here. I've got my little lamps here which is usually my only real source of light outside of my monitors.
They turn off like that. I love touch lamps. Got my monitor stands here to hold stuff. So around the front here, you can see that I have 4 monitors. This one up here is just used as 60FPS primarily because there is no GPU with 4 display-port ports.
I have to use the last one as HDMI. So it can't be as fast as the other ones. This is my camera Sony A7IV I believe. Its gripped on to the monitor stand with a clamp that I just got from Amazon or what have you.
And of course it got another monitor stand there holding up other monitors here. The other monitors that I have are all 1440p bare minimum, 165 hertz. I have not gone 4K yet, but I will eventually, probably with the next set of graphics cards that comes out. The 50 series. Here I have Sony A7III I guess my older camera, which I use for like Discord and stuff, and for just other recordings I suppose.
Down here I have my new external numpad. I prefer, smaller keyboards, so they, like it fits my hand better, but I haven't... Found out I've... its kind of nice to have a numpad sometimes, so I have that there for that purpose. Logitech mouse, Hyper X keyboard.
I will be replacing it with a custom keyboard very soon. I have a nice viewer who is helping me out with stuff. The mouse pad. I believe, this is the mouse pad from LinusTechTips. They made a full black one.
I use it in a very stupid way because I have my whole arm on it going down like this. Obviously a mouse pad this long is meant to go sideways and meant to have your keyboard and the mouse on it. But I just like the support of my entire arm. I have the Go XLR It cannot possibly be the best system that exists right now for audio.
But it is the one I'm used to and it's the sound I’m used to. My voice sounding like and... attempts to replace it have not gone down very well. Stream deck for streaming just buttons does stuff. This horrible fu*king Xbox controller, drives me crazy. These I love. This is a, bone conducing headset.
That is perfectly waterproof. I wear it all the time. I use it in the shower to listen to audio books and stuff. Whenever you see me walking around, even if you saw me walking out in public. I've probably got this on my ears. and the nanosecond nothing is going on.
I press the button, my audio book starts playing. Like I'm in a line? Audio book starts playing. Driving somewhere? Audio book starts playing. because I don't have a heap of free time. And so when I have downtime, I like to listen to audiobooks.
This headset, it's by Koss I prefer the black version, but only Massdrop has it and I haven't been able to get another one. They break so easily, but they're well known as having very good audio quality. But the main reason I like them is because they're on ear, open back, lightweight, and they don't have a band that goes over the top of your head. People joke. “The early 2000s called and they want their headset back” but I love them.
For a microphone I have the Shure SM7dB. Well known as a very good microphone. I also have a, shock mount here, which for most people is not important. But I like it. It seems to help me. Got A Rode mic stand. Which connects into a table separated from my main table.
So any... [Bangs desk] hitting on the table does not reach the microphone. This table is just some garbage that I bought and had painted black. I've got these clothing hampers as a very, very large bin. I would produce too much rubbish here and it would end up on the floor because the bin I had here was too small. Getting myself a larger bin, it may look unsightly.
I'm not sure, but it is guaranteed that over the course of a week I never have enough rubbish in here to actually fill it. So at the end of the week when I need to put out rubbish. I just empty the bin and so my floor is never full of rubbish anymore. If you're a person who ends up cluttering your room a lot. Buy yourself, a very large bin, I guarantee you will stop doing it.
And that's another light. And another touch light on the other side. And this is just like a a mouse pad that's meant to be portable, but I've attached it to the monitor stands.
This table is a standing desk. I can lift it up and down, but I don't really bother. I've just got it from Ikea Its very nice which is cool. On my walls that I had painted black. I have these acoustic panels.
I got them from Acoustic Answers in Sydney, but you can probably find something similar I’m not sure. I've got them all over the roof as well, because sound reverberates around the room. Makes a lot of echo.
You can probably compare my voice from years ago to now and there will be a night and day difference echo wise. It looks a lot nicer than what I used to have on the walls, which was a bunch of random panels and stuff. Over here I've got my electronic blinds, which I won't open too much. I've been Doxxed enough by weirdos, but let's not make it too easy for them. So this is the, completely light blocking part.
Which goes like that and so I can open it and the other part underneath it allows some light in, but people from the street can't see in. That one can be opened up as well. And so I've got two sets. Want to block out all light? I put them both down. If I want to block out just some of the light, I only have the first one down. Gives me some privacy and some light.
I guess in my black painted cupboard that was painted very poorly. I've just got a bunch of stuff that are kind of organized. I've got my lollipops there that I really love from my childhood. I've got these... pixie stick things.
Over here I've got a small bar fridge. It's actually a gamer bar fridge or something, they called it. There is a certain type of fridge that can't get ridiculously cold, like, there's no freezer in here or something, but it makes no noise. Which is exactly what I wanted. I don’t even need to put this in the cupboard to block noise or something.
It's just a type of fridge that makes no noise. I highly recommend it as long as you're in the right climate for it, you can't be in a desert and use this thing. But it's wonderful. I've got like Pepsi Max in there and up here I've got water and coke and this is the exact same cupboard from over there.
I think lastly, I have my Herman Miller Embody’s chair here. Quite like it, Herman Miller very well-known for making great chairs very over engineered things, definitely fixed my back issues. Not that I had many mind you, but you sit in a chair for a very long time.
It's hard to not get yourself a stiff back or sore arse, but this chair's very nice for that. Quite expensive though. This is my wallet from Ekster It's got a little magnet on it and I, attach it to my PC like that. So I never lose my wallet. I'm just like, “oh yeah, go get my wallet from my PC.”
So that’s my main room I'm now going into my second room over here, which I do basically nothing with. So excuse the mess here. This is all stuff I'm giving to my sister. The most notable thing here is the wood carved map of GTA V cost a lot of money, but I have nowhere that I can really hang it up where it makes sense. So I’m going to give it to my sister maybe she can give it to someone else, I'm not sure.
So I've got this green screen wall here which I made sure to have done, and I never used it for any purpose at all. Which kind of sucks. I've got this exercise bike here It's the CAROL exercise bike. I had to get it from the UK. It's meant to be “AI”.
That could be true. But the main thing that I find interesting about it is its a sprinter’s bike The main thing that causes you to lose weight and get fit and stuff is when your heart is beating a lot and you're like out of breath and you're like... [Imitates Panting] That kind of stuff.
And this sprinting bike is it makes it so it forces you to like sprint for like 10-15 seconds intermittently and it destroys you. Like it's so tiring. I’ve got like special running shoes there and you can like hook yourself into this thing and it's really cool. So it's not a normal exercise bike I mean I’ve got some Elgato lights in the corner. I've got some more acoustic panels, on the roof as well. As you can see.
I got them in white. The same electronic blinds over there I can use the same remote to control those as well. There's a... some green floor tiles as well that I got from Etsy or something. This is some monstrosity of a laptop that I purchased.
But I barely used. I hope to use it for the purposes of recording cooking videos, but I haven't really gotten around to it. and this one, I’m using this OSBOT thing as well, which is just another type of webcam. Got another...
light here that you press and it turns on. So none of this hardware really matters. It's just older hardware from previous builds like this is probably like a 3090, or something in here.
I can't even really remember. It's door doesn't open easily, so I'm not going to open it. But you know like... it's like in there and you can see stuff.
Still a good PC of course. So in here I have another always on power supply in case the power goes out or something, none of my servers will go out. I've got my network here, I've got my Synology NAS’ so one, two, three, four. I think the space is like 250 terabytes or something.
This all connects through the wall to my other PC. Up here I have my security system I've turned off the screen so you can't see out front of my house. But I have cameras around my house that alert me if anyone’s near, and record anyone and all that jazz. I had some before, but they didn't give me that good vision and I felt like I needed to get better ones, cause some random whack job from the internet came to my house and carved into my door.
There are some really sick fu*ks on the internet. but now I've got this. Feel a bit more secure. The downsides of this job, I suppose you know.
Here I've got a teleprompter from Elgato, works well, except it doesn't work very well in a very dark room. which is what I have over there. A bunch of stuff from Elgato to hold up stuff. That's about it this room doesn't have much in it. It's not very interesting why did I go in it? I guess a linen cupboard. Not much to see.
I've got a shitty printer that I hate. Cause I hate printing stuff, but it's wireless. So I can at least keep it in this cupboard. Voiceover: I set up my phone to record myself, smashing my printer in my backyard.
I hate printers. [smashing sound] I smashed the printer into many pieces but forgot to hit record on my phone. I felt it important for you to know about this event.
[Voice turns demonic] The printer’s corpse is still out there. I've got Xbox, PlayStation barely use them. I've got a backup mouse and keyboard up there.
Hi This is my bathroom I'm thinking about having my entire bathroom remodeled. I've got myself a very large bin in here, too. The only reason that's very full is because my other bins are very full, because I forgot to put out my bins last week.
I will not forget this week. This is like a heated towel rack. There would be towels, but I haven't put them out. Yes. There's nothing interesting in here.
Why am I in here? I have a mirror on the back of my door. Wow. And as well, I have these black rugs.
Ain’t that nice? Okay, now my bedroom. This bed is all silk. I basically walked into a bedding place and said, “Ey, I will give you any amount of money to make it so I can actually sleep.” And this is what I ended up getting The mattress is thick and cool the silk is silky and cool. and the headrest thing looks nice. I remember someone saying “Never trust the guy who doesn't have a headrest.”
So I'm like, “okay, you got it! I will get the biggest fu*king headrest.” The bed has like a remote control to vibrate. [Low humming sound] I don’t know if you can hear that It also has a light See how you can see this light on here you can't really see because...
I can’t fit the camera, but you see like it turns on-off. So if I drop something I can see under my bed, which is cool. It also lifts up at the top and the at the back as well.
This stuff is more of like a gimmick, like It lifts up very far I'm not going to spend the entire time to show how far it lifts up, but like... both sides of the bed, will like crush into each other. Kinda. This set of drawers I got from IKEA.
The only reason I have it as a bedside table because the only thing I could find large enough that had like a little lip here, that I could put my iPad on. So I lay here. My iPad is here. And so I can either just use the iPad. or I can like watch TV and use the iPad as well.
Yeah, so that's my TV. It's quite nice. You see? Pretty cool. Like most people would just clamp this onto the headrest, but mine's too thick and plush and so it doesn't do it. I need something tall enough to be over the top of the bed. And the bed is very tall.
If you want to do something similar to what I'm doing here, I'm sure there's other furniture that would better facilitate it for a normal sized bed. So another touch lamp because touch lamps are sick. So obviously these blinds the same as the other room. I can control them with the same remote that I have. Out there is a tiny balcony.
Don't use it all that much. This is just a clothing thing from IKEA. This I bought for an entirely different purpose. I was going to put it in my cupboards, but I got this from IKEA as well and it's just ended up being the place that I put all my black shirts, tank tops, black underwear and black shorts.
That I grab each and every day. There's just a black TV stand, obviously doesn't actually have my TV stood on it. but it covers up the cables behind it.
Which is cool. This is my clothing hamper. I keep the wood at the top so I can distinguish it between the bin version, which is very full. Yeah see? I also have a very large bin in here because again, if you have very large bins, you'll find, you’ll use them rather than throwing all your stuff on the floor and why there's rubbish over there, it's only because I moved my bin because my girlfriend was here. And it was weird having the bin right next to her side. And so I was too lazy last night to move the rubbish into the bin because it was further away.
I also have a keyboard there. I only just set it up to connect to the TV. I just don’t want to type stuff, but I don't usually it's...it's fine. I've got this little stick-on carrier things there from Amazon. That I just put anything that I want in there remotes, batteries, scissors.
I've got cables they're hanging and yeah... In my cupboard. I have my, my rant jackets you know just in case I want to bring one out and rant.
I haven't worn those in so many years, they have sentimental value now. This is my Meta Quest 3 I did the VR stuff for a while. It's interesting, but a little bit of pain in the arse and there’s not enough to do. I feel like... VR is like on the cusp of being like something amazingly intense.
But right now can't be bothered tinkering with it. Might do GTA V in VR at some point there's a third party one. I've got this thing hooked on the side here that it clips in like this. I've got like a bunch of batteries charging down here. And what you do is when the headset's running out of power, clip one on there and it starts charging it. And when that's done, you just grab another one, clip it on.
it's not particularly heavy. It's just a small battery. There's again, another fridge, same fridge is in the other room. I just like it that much.
This one's got water in it primarily. This is a humidifier? Dehumidifier? I bought it because people said The humidity of your air can impact your ability to sleep. I didn't have any medical reasons I've just been running with it. I don't really think it's helped all that much.
But if you are having sleep issues check one out! They are not that expensive. Annoying to clean though. It's my knife, my crowbar, my blue ball. Very important. My non black shirt, black tank top, black shorts, clothing.
Wow. Used to have more, but very recently because I started going out with someone, I decided to go through my clothing and see what actually fit. And turns out a lot of it didn’t fit. So I got rid of it. That's why all these are empty. My bathroom here, I suppose you don't really...
There's nothing really interesting in here. Another large bin, another thing that heats towels, which is cool. I have these lollipops that I heard about, Zollipops. They clean your teeth, give you a healthy gums and stuff. That they're the ones that dentists give you.
I was like, Oh, that's interesting. So I have them in there whenever I want. I have a small iPad, an old phone, and I have the Steam Deck here.
It's quite good. I haven't traveled all that much. So it’s not been too useful. These things I love They are these small little batteries. Whenever I go out to the city you know, rare occasion okay so I'm going more places these days because I have a girlfriend now.
But I always carry one of these with me because they're small, but they can charge like an entire phone over the course of a night. So if you get lost or you forget to charge your phone. You're like, oh, well, dash out the door grab one of these, put it on your phone and you can charge your phone when you're traveling. Not that expensive either. This is my other Meta Quest 3. The quality control of the Meta Quest 3 is terrible.
Like this one is better in some ways than the other one. I guess they just have a bunch of different places making them to try to keep costs down, I’m not sure. This is my huge variety of different deodorants and stuff. This is the main one I'm using right now. Every Man Jack Sandalwood. It was recommended by some YouTuber.
And so that is my room. [High pitched] Wow So that's my entire upstairs going downstairs now. Let’s go! I love this carpet, but I also love this door. I had the old door ripped out and the glass on the side, removed so that I could have one huge black door that would block out as much light as possible. This because for the rare occasions I watch movies downstairs, I don't want light bothering me like the light you see from the upper window here. That can be closed off because they're electronic blinds. I can use remote for that as well.
Turn on normal lights, I suppose, because I don't want you to see outside. Got a remote for these blinds as well. Works same as upstairs. I guess. I'll go around the room this way. I have an hourglass here.
There's like black sand in it. I've got Bulbasaur Squirtle and Charmander. They were hand-painted by a creator that I know I in part, bought them because I want to help them out. But they also look just look nice on my shelf here.
My sister bought me like the periodic table thing here. This is like a temperature thing the things fall or go up based on how hot it is. This, of course is, my legendary Railgun, which you'd know from that video I did on it, It was made for me. You can get yourself one on Etsy if you like, the dude is still making them. You would have seen it in the video, so I’m not going to...

I was going to hang it up on my wall but I never got around to it. There’s nothing of interest in here is there? Oh. that's my Viper Rambles Play Button in there and nothing else. This is like a keyboard key tester.
So you probably can't see the names, but there’s every type of key that is sold for custom keyboards. I bought this to find out what key I wanted for my new keyboard, which I haven't got yet. But in general I think it's just a cool little thing to...
[Mashing Button Sound Intensifies] Smash on. So I put it here Just in case, you know, I've got a guest over and whatever they just wanna fu*king go to town. This is like some weird thing that spins I dunno how good it looks on camera, but it spins and changes color.
[High pitched] Wow! Looks much more impressive in real life. Oh there you go. There's different little things you can get to put on top that make different patterns and stuff. in different colors, which is cool.
There's also this light here. Not a touch light Unfortunately have to turn this fu*king knob. Thought it was a touch lamp. I was wrong.
These lounges are reclining lounges, they're electronic. Got a little button here. That's my clothing over there. Obviously I know how to wash clothes, but it saves time to have someone else do it for me and they... pack it now in nice ways.
So like both sides recline and I was still concerned that this wasn't like good snuggling size So I ended up very recently ordering the three seater one that was meant to come a couple of days ago hasn't come yet, so eventually there's gonna be like another lounge chair that's going to be larger than these ones. Guess we do this side first, this is a TV, a large TV that I watch down here on very rare occasions. Ain’t that cool okay, I haven't turned this on in so long, that's its updating and stuff. I promise you, it's a TV that works. On the table here we have Woofle my one plushie that I had made And uhh... down here, this is a Marbelus You press it and the marble comes out And then it goes down the thing.
It's not perfect some of them fall sometimes, but it's just a cool little thing you press. You know... This was made by like, I don’t know... my uncle, my great grandfather or something, and just like rocks from side to side. Cool. This thing was made for me by my mods. It plays the outro to my videos.
You like feed it in there and spin it around I only have one hand so I can't do it right now. It's very cool. I showed it in one of my rambles The sound system I have here, which is like this panel down here this panel on the side here.
and this thing here and like one speaker here. This is some fake plant bullsh*t you may have seen in my bathroom upstairs. I have them there as well. It just makes the place look nicer and doesn't require any maintenance. This is like a fake perpetual motion machine. It's like a hidden little thing here, you put your finger across and goes in there. Okay didn’t turn on.
Because it's hidden. It's hard to know if you turned it on... wait did I do it the wrong way? So the gimmick is that, Oh, look, it's going to go forever. How is this possible? The marble is able to go through the slide and back up infinitely It's going to go forever.
But in reality, there's a magnet underneath here that you turn on and off by going like this. See now it doesn’t go because the magnet’s turned off there's a fidget spinner that I was given by a viewer. Long after fidget spinners...
like I did not get a fidget spinner when they were popular. And then a viewer was like, “Oh, that's sad Matt “here's a fidget spinner for you.” And I I still keep it to this day because I found that to be nice. This is like a thing where like a magnet and like, Colory thing Hard to do it with one hand but you are meant to like trace patterns I don’t use it often whatever it's just a weird thing. This is like a square of tungsten, like one of the densest materials in the world.
If that can be afforded by a random person. It's very heavy. You can't tell because, you are not holding it But it's cool. You can probably hear it when I put it down it was like...
[Imitates explosion] This is another reclining chair, a single one. But the main thing that caught your eye is this thing like I can't even put it get it in fu*king camera its so goddamn large. This is a massage chair costs...I'm not gonna tell you how much it costs because it's just this is too much money and it's cool. I'm not going to put on this face mask thing, but this is also a massaging face thing.
You know how massage chair works. It would massage me and all that jazz. It's cool, but I don’t think it's worth the money. It might be worth the money, like in retirement or something, but I don't get down here enough to use it. When I first got it, like every day, I would use it. and then every second day Third day and every week and every month.
And now I haven't used it in months now. But it's still cool. But more for when guests come over and be like Oh, massage chair sweet! This is a black tissue box. Some black roses. They're fake. Spoilers.
But it looks nice! There's a table here. More acoustic panels on the walls. I think it looks quite nice. Even have one over there. I have my subscriber milestones over here, so my DarkViperAU channel DarkViperAU Clips channel which is now called DarkViperAU Extras and my main channel, a million subscribers. Ain't that cool? So in the kitchen, nothing particularly impressive. There is a bin.
I like large bins. It's cool. Has a pedal...WOW.
Toaster Hi-tech toaster. Wine girlfriend's wine got a high-tech fridge that I never used for like anything. but in the bottom, Okay I have used it at various times. But the main thing in the bottom of interest is Hydralyte Ice Blocks They're meant to hydrate you really fast and stuff and you get them from like chemists and whatnot.
If you have a hangover, you are meant to have these iceblocks. and they are meant to make you feel nicer, faster. But for me, it's just when I was concerned, I was not sleeping well enough. Or didn’t have the energy for streaming and stuff. I bought a bunch of those and they do help a bit My fridge actually has stuff in it. Only because my girlfriend put a bunch of stuff in it.
Before this it was just what's here. It was just condiments. Bourbon in a woofle glass it was given to me by my managers and bunch of salsa, which is all probably gone off. Let me look. Got some more greenery thing here which is cool. And an air fryer that my mother bought me I didn't use for a year.
When I finally used it, I messaged her and said, “Oh my God, mum I've used your air fryer!” She was so happy Now that’s washing machine and... microwave. Not much here. And then there's... this is the laundry room. And there's nothing of particular interest here except for this here.
I can try not show numbers here, but this is like my enterprise internet that they recently installed. And so I get a 1000 down, a 1000 up. I didn't say that, I have acoustic panels all over my roof in my kitchen. because I want to make cooking videos at some point.
I have them all over here as well. So stops all the Echo. Well, as much as you can stop when there's tiles.
I won’t show my outside too much. I do want to show one thing I still have over there that accursed swinging chair thing. Despite how much of a pain in the arse it was to have made, I do love it.
Sit out there and look at my grass. Guess I should show my car. So this is my Lexus E.S...some number 2020 something It's cool. I like it.

And as you can see, I do have stuff now. All the people from years ago who were concerned no longer need to be concerned. I have a long list of stuff I still want done to the house, remodeling the kitchens and the bathrooms and add a door on my walk-in wardrobe and stuff and all these minor things that are just bullshit that... I'm going to hire like a building manager to handle because I can't deal with talking to people.
these builders and landscapers and stuff anymore. It just drives me crazy. I need someone who has expertise, who knows people who can get me, people who aren't dodgy you know. it's a hard thing to maneuver, regardless Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed this.
Despite that, I don’t know if its going to be a very interesting video, but it is an update to show. that my life is going pretty good. and people need to be not as concerned about my life as they have been.
