For you, the bunny from Poland also brought something, but he left gifts for you with me I do not know why ;) he left a set of springs for the HDR 50 revolver for you, there are 5 of them here universal laser to be mounted on a rail I had to open the package, but I only use it once to check if it works and I don't have to return it to the supplier the bunny also brought one pin for you, shorter by 1 mm that is a pin with a length of 8mm, also for the HDR 50 revolver and a T-shirt, so how will you rake the leaves on the plot or somewhere in the house in the garden you will not have to dirty your T-shirt; D;) so Juan, this is for you, please write me in a private message on FB the address to which the bunny is to deliver the parcel I come back to the topic, as I mentioned in the previous episode The results of the power measurements shown by the X-Radar chronometers gave me mixed feelings so I tried to verify it additionally on two chronometers of a different type that I have one of them is AC6000 the other is RH2 the results of both chronometers, they were practically the same maybe not the same, but very close but due to the fact that the AC6000 chronometer is very difficult to measure the power of the HDR 50 revolver because it is very sensitive to gas, and the results can be deceived you need to shoot from a distance of about 1 m it is very bothersome, because I have a problem to hit the hole a few months ago, I already smashed one such chronometer got a few shots and it stopped working, something is flying inside; D ;) I haven't disassembled it yet to see if I can fix it this chronometer is still working but you can already hear that it has already received a few blows ;D ;) so I only checked the power on the original settings i.e. with aluminum pin and valve block to see what the results will be then,...
I gave up on further measurements because it was already quite dangerous, of course for the chronometer I verified it with this RH2 chronometer it is more convenient, it also tends to measure the gas from the barrel but... the front can be covered with a special dial, made of a regular sheet of paper, or keep a distance of approx. 1 m with approx. 1m it no longer captures gas and the results from these two chronometers were very similar, but ...
but also .... differed from the results obtained on X-radars by 3J so I decided to perform all tests on this RH2 chronometer due to the original HDR 50 settings showing the results similar to what the manufacturer says, although I don't know what balls were used for testing at the manufacturer's to determine the power of the revolver now you can see the results at the top, on this chronometer, the lowest result I got was 9.47J and the highest result was 13.47J
and an average result of 6 shots, on a new Crosman CO2 capsule, was 11.37J which is quite close to what the manufacturer says although the difference in the power of the shots, between the weakest and the strongest, was 4J on this chronometer, because I forgot to record the first measurement I recorded the measurement at the very end of my tests, which I spent almost all day on I used several dozen CO2 capsules because I only took 6 shots from each capsule, and on the last one I have left in the revolver and on the last one that was left in the revolver, because I didn't want to waste another CO2 capsule I made a measurement, the results were from 12.99J to 8.40J the average result was 11.16J although these last 3 shots ... (here you can see it) they were practically at the end of the gas, it was already the 3rd magazine fired but looking at the first shots at least, I found this chronometer to be the best for these measurements most convenient and accurate you must also remember that all the chronometer values that will be shown here should not be treated as "for sure", let us treat them as approximate values the more tests I do, the more convinced I am ball quality, CO2 capsule quality, light, temperature, distance, chronometer errors, and even the angle of the revolver in relation to the chronometer all this matters and may be distortions such average distortions that come out on each of these chronometers always greater distortions are a plus, I took for myself the tolerance from -1J to + 2J this is the tolerance that you have to take (especially if you only make 1 measurement, that's why it's best to take 3 measurements and take the average;) do these results correspond to what this revolver actually achieves? I can't confirm it 100%, (therefore they should be treated as indicative results) ok, time for the main topic and the topic of this movie is that I want to show you results I achieved without the valve block only changing the length of the pins the results are even quite interesting the pins I have here vary in length the shortest of the pins is 6mm the next pin is 7mm the next pin is 8mm and the last one has the original dimensions of 9mm, and is made of steel just like all the other pins, not counting the standard pins which means they are a bit heavier than the standard pins made of aluminum but what is the plus of the pin made of steel you can unscrew and screw it in as many times as you want, without fear that it will be damaged certainly also if you want to shoot without the valve block this steel pin will be more suitable because steel is stronger than aluminum I also do not know how this aluminum pin would behave after100, 200, 500 or more shots problem with removing the aluminum pin ... actually there are a few problems it is known that this pin is screwed on the glue ...
(ehhh pity that .....) here I have a pin ready for unscrewing undamaged (got rid of the glue) but the pin looks exactly like the steel pins i have here before unscrewing the pin for the first time, it is very important to heat the glue, you practically have to completely burn this glue then wait for the pin to cool down a bit this is very important because you know ... aluminum ... pin heats up all and then it is very soft ... and it is very easy to damage ....
the place, incision into which we insert a screwdriver here you can see how the pin is damaged, it can no longer be screwed in with a screwdriver .... it can be ..... (I did not take it), but you can try to unscrew it with a long 5.5mm - 6mm cap, ... but it doesn't work that well ... sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't it depends on how tightly the pin is screwed on and its "head" "worn" with a steel steel pin, it is a little easier, because we can press harder and twist a scratch forms on the aluminum pin and the cap stops "working" extreme way is drilling the pin thread delicately, at the beginning with a small drill e.g. 1.2mm, then 2.5mm-3.2mm but there is a high risk of damaging the thread in the plunger so it's a method if others fail, of course, the pin will only be suitable for throwing away I will do a separate movie about the pins, I'll show you a few things that are worth paying attention to but not today so looking at it, the better pin is the steel pin I haven't checked the weight yet .....
what difference does the pin's weight make, because it may also have an impact on the achieved results if something "interesting" comes out then ... I will also show it in the movie regarding the pins themselves I won't talk about it anymore today Now let's check the results on the RH2 chronometer I was shooting from a distance of about 1m, with the use of a dial, which additionally prevented the gas from being measured ok, now what's probably most interesting for you i.e. you have the HDR50 revolver take out the valve block you do absolutely nothing else load the balls and the CO2 capsule and shoot see the results that I achieved aluminum standard pin end as you have already seen, the results i have achieved, on average amounted to 24.60J the lowest result was 21.58J, and the highest 30.50J so this difference between these individual shots it is quite significant because it is as much as 9J it can be a problem if you want to "learn" this revolver e.g. by shooting a target, because it is known that it is all about accuracy,
these drops and increases in power can cause trouble, when it comes to aiming, because the change of the ball's parabola will be significant but how will you shoot at targets for destruction i.e. for bottles, glasses, panels, boards etc. whatever you place there e.g. from a distance of 5m-7m that shouldn't be a problem anymore because you know that the greater power is better ;D ;) better effect but as I said before, these power increases may have a negative effect on the aluminum pin possibly it can be damaged so that in my opinion it is better to get a steel pin next pin I checked was an 8mm steel pin see the results pin 8mm end you saw the results the average power was about 2J more than on the aluminum pin it amounted to an average of 26.46J the lowest value was 22.77J
and the highest value ... similar to the aluminum pin 30.47J here is also the problem that also concerned the aluminum pin i.e. these drops and increases in power between individual shots, it amounted to over 7J, exactly 7.70J in this case also, shooting at the target can be troublesome, but for destruction or for self-defense it won't be a problem it will not be a problem, and the steel pin will ensure that, Nothing will break here, it will not break, and we will not do any damage to the revolver next test I did, I checked a 7mm long pin so it is already a pin 2mm shorter than the standard aluminum pin here the results are on the Crosman CO2 capsule (earlier measurements were also made on CO2 Crosman) see the results pin 7mm well here the average measured power was 4J-5J less because it was 19.83J, the lowest value is 18.61J and the highest value measured was 20.67J which is this power difference between shots, it was only about 2J this is a very nice result, even better than on an aluminum pin and with a valve block so super means in this case, our accuracy towards the target should also be better it will be easier for us to learn this revolver feel it due to the fact that this power was much smaller compared to the previous pins I checked it again, but this time I used a CO2 capsule from ASG look pin 7mm CO2 capsule ASG end there is not much difference, in terms of the average measured power it was 20.45J and the lowest value was 17.88J, and the highest is 22.76J
but this power difference between the individual shots, it was almost 5J, exactly 4.88J that is, assuming that all elements in the revolver were the same balls were new from the same box, not used before only the CO2 capsule changed so here again there is a chance that the quality of the CO2 capsules has meaning and it is quite a lot, because it is over 2J I don't know what to think about it ... I show what I measured I repeated each test 3 times sometimes more if something was "bothering me" the results that are shown here are the results, in my opinion, the closest to the truth they are somewhere in the middle of the results that I achieved and at the end, I checked a 6mm pin i.e. the pin is 3mm shorter than the aluminum pin
see the results pin 6mm, CO2 capsule Crosman you just saw the results with a 6mm pin they are very similar in terms of average power over 6 shots, to the results achieved with a pin length of 7mm the average power was 20.63J, the lowest was 18.32J and the highest was 23.78J and the power difference between the weakest and strongest shots increased by 1J which is almost 5.5J and this is more or less confirmed, because in the next test I did 5.10J
and in the next one I got around 6J which is why it shows the test results in which the values were closest to the average when counting the results from the tests of a given pin I hope the results you saw in this video, they will allow you to somehow visualize what is happening when you pull out the valve block, and then you will only have fun replacing the pins it is known that if you want to check it yourself, and you do not have a chronometer this is the best way, I also do it so often, because it's a very cool way in my opinion it is to prepare several layers of cartons and performing 6 test shots on a new CO2 capsule into these cartons then replacing, for example, a pin, or, for example, removing the valve block, then replacing the CO2 capsule and taking 6 shots again and the only thing left to do is count the number of cartons shot this is the best way then maybe you do not have reference to the values expressed with numbers, but what matters is the effect, and to see the effect, cardboard boxes are perfectly fine so you don't have to invest money in chronometers well....
