WINTER SUN AND SURFING IN TAGHAZOUT MOROCCO
I've been using this new um wrist strap so I can paddle without having to hold a grip on the GoPro yeah I think that's fine good tour thanks we've absolutely loved our time so far here in tagazu and it's one of those places that and it's really hard on filming to actually do it justice hi everyone and Welcome to our Channel we are Hannah and Johnny also known as finding our adventure in 2020 we converted our Ford Transit to living full time since then we've been on an endless adventure with our two cats tear and Skye exploring living and working in our tiny home join us each week for a new episode of finding our adventure foreign [Music] [Music] good morning everybody and welcome to this year's first episode we landed in agadir Morocco last night and it was pitch black so we didn't film anything but we're ready to explore this morning we've arrived in takazud where we're staying for the next three nights and yeah it's really cool it's a really cool surf town so we're gonna take you along as we explore today we're just off to find some breakfast this morning exploring the streets and there's loads of cool little side streets here and loads of dogs running around showing us where to go so yeah just having a good time exploring [Music] you feel like summer days [Music] we found a really nice spot for breakfast where we're literally right on the beach and we can hear the sound of the Waves it's really really nice and we've just ordered breakfast I've got a mint tea which is very traditional and we're just waiting for our main breakfast to come out in a bit so we went with smoothie bowls this morning and I think it's like a chocolate with bananas and coconut I think but yeah it looks really good [Music] [Music] so we had a really nice breakfast super chill morning it's got such a relaxed Vibe around here it's so nice yeah and we said straight away this morning we're like we're definitely coming back here in the future yeah and now we're just walking along to the beach that's along from where we're eating and the waves look perfect for our level um so we're just gonna go check out the beach probably find a spot and then maybe go hire a board in a wetsuit and get in the water in a bit but it looks epic it does look really nice and there's loads of stuff schools around here in surf camp so we're staying in like a surf hostel yeah yeah so there's lots of other people you met a few people this morning and we met a few people last night so it's nice and there's some camels on the beach and it's like wow the whole town of tagazut is really based around surfing now so it's just got a really cool like relaxed surf Vibe so it's really cool and Hannah was saying this morning it's almost like the continuation of our summer trip down the west coast of um Europe because we're continually on the west coast of Europe Coast from Morocco so yeah really cool really happy to be here [Music] just tell me I belong so I've just um had a wetsuit and a board and I'm about to head out into the water it looks amazing the waves look so good today so really excited to get out and I think Hannah's gonna do some sunbathing here and she might come and join me in a bit [Music] [Music] I just got back from my first surf session in Morocco and it was so much fun it reminds me a lot of Watergate Bay the way the waves break is there's a lot of powerful white water which is really nice to stand up on and if there's some surf footage in this video it's because I was able to record it I've been using this new um wrist strap so I can paddle without having to hold a grip on the GoPro and it's much easier to paddle out on but I think it's a bit harder to actually get like decent footage so hopefully there's some good footage in there of me standing up and if not I definitely stood up so yeah I think we'll just go chill here for a bit maybe go surfing some more and just enjoyed a really nice sunny warm weather foreign [Music] [Music] so we have had an epic day at the beach today it's been like the perfect weather the surfing was amazing and we were just chilling and it's just been so nice and warm it feels like winter is a distant memory already and we've only been here for one day and this is our room that we're staying in it's a little bit messy because we're getting ready for a photo shoot we've got a brand with us that we're actually taking some photos for on the beach which is really exciting and yeah so we're just getting ready for that now we're gonna go borrow another surfboard head back down to the beach in a minute and then we're gonna take some photos and we'll take the photos into Sunset as well and then once sunsets happened we'll give the board back and then we'll head off to dinner so we're going to really work up an appetite and we had for dinner last night a really amazing tagine and so we're really excited to go have one of those again tonight but um yeah really good excited to go do this photo shoot the weather is perfect and the scenery is just fantastic for it as well so let's get out there [Music] okay so pretty much finished my makeup and you know just getting ready to go out now and I'm going to quickly show you the room that we're staying in so we're staying in a more budget um room but it's still pretty nice we've got a lovely double bed which is basically two singles into one we've got two big windows that look out onto the street so we can look out um see what's going on outside also a great spot to dry your shorts when they're wet they've got a sink here that we've been using there's a little cupboard and then I'm gonna have the lights on eyed this is like a wet room so we've got a toilet and a shower which we just used which was really nice and that's pretty much our room so yeah but there's also a Terrace upstairs um where Johnny filmed and sunrise this morning and yeah it's just a really nice room everything you need there's plugs as well so we're charging our all of our Electrics yeah I think that's about it Good Tour thanks [Music] [Music] okay we're back down at the beach we've been walking along the surfboard getting some really nice photos so far and now we've got it in about an hour before Sunset to get the last of the photos and uh yeah it's really nice it's gonna look really golden got some really epic shots so far but what we're gonna do is we're gonna put the camera down now and let you have a bit of a sneak peek behind the scenes of what we do when we do a photo shoot [Music] talking [ __ ] it's hard to see you when your eyes look though so we have done two outfits so far for the photo shoot success do you think yeah I think the first one was really good the second one just then you might be able to see it from the camera a little bit wasn't so great so we might get up for Sunrise to do that one again um but we're just waiting for the sun to dip a bit now to do the third outfit and then I'm gonna get some dinner by sandbox so yeah so it's gone well so far but we're very we're we didn't have lunch so we're quite hungry and yeah we're excited for dinner and I think what what do you think we're gonna have for dinner yeah can't go wrong with that I don't know if we said this already but we actually came to Morocco when we were first married with Hannah's family and um it was a really cool trip we went to Marrakesh and we drove into the Sahara which was really cool and we also climbed Mount tukau um so yeah we're really excited to be on this trip now on the coastal side and it's been amazing so far seeing all the Surfers and everything it's been really cool the town itself is epic yeah definitely would recommend it we're kind of gutted we're not staying here for a bit longer really we're kind of like oh I kind of wish we'd say here for the whole week but it's what it is you're gonna make the most of being here for the next three days and there are loads of like day trips you can do from here as well but I don't think we're gonna have enough time to squeeze all of that in as well we just want to like really explore this place deeply and then maybe have to come back another time [Music] so the sunset is almost finished and Johnny's got very excited because I think he's got some good pictures that he is happy with haven't seen them yet so I see if they get my approval we have just got back to where we're staying and we're on the Terrace we've got the sunset behind us and the ocean pretty good view huh yeah you can come dry yes wetsuits whatever yeah look at that you can see so far today as well like all the mountains so that's the beach we're on all day today just there yeah I'm not rolling waves and there are beaches on the other side that we haven't been to yet but nothing yeah okay so I finished just arrived and we have gone with sardines and we're right by the beachfront so we can hear the waves coming in and it's really nice out for me so we're gonna dig it now so we're so hungry we just had the most epic dinner it was so tasty I'm not sure how much you could hear because of the wind and the well the sound of the ocean because we're right on the ocean but we both had chicken tagines and we had some um mixed grill screws which are amazing and we're really nice and full now we're walking back up the steps towards our hostel and I think we're gonna go to bed soon and we'll catch you guys in the morning good night good morning everybody we are just on our way down to breakfast we got up for sunrise this morning and we're taking more photos on the beach and we actually um well Hannah got um taken into a with a pack of dogs so all the dogs on the beach became Hannah's best friend and uh that was really funny but there was one male that was like pretty Gravelly so he was making us feel a bit nervous but we survived and uh it's just gone 10 o'clock now we're just heading down to the restaurants on the beachfront to go get some food and then I think we're just gonna enjoy a nice chill day here in Texas again and explore everything has to offer Okay so we've just come down the wrong road and got into a dead end so we're gonna head back onto the main street before going down another side alley to get to the beachfront [Music] so we have come back to the same spot that we've pretty much had all of our meals along the strips all the restaurants all the really good restaurants along this like beachfront with a beach right here and this morning we've come to a new one that looked really cool yesterday but it was really busy because it was the weekend still but we've got a spot right on the edge now because it's less busy we've got this beautiful cactile and succulents next to us and I've gone for a smoothie Bowl again this morning and Hannah's gone to the surface breakfast so she's got avocado and toast and various different bits as well so yeah we're going to take a nap I'm pretty hungry and just enjoyed a nice sun rising up and warming us all up and then we're gonna head to the beach in a bit [Music] thank you okay we've been back to our room since breakfast and we've actually booked our bus tickets to Marrakech for tomorrow because um we were doing our research and we were going to get the suit to Surf um shuttle bus which is supposed to be quicker it's a little bit more expensive but actually not running the route at the moment so we had to figure out other options and we've managed to get a three hour three and a half hour bus from agadir to Marrakesh we've got to get a taxi to agadir because it's not direct from here which is fine so we've got most of tomorrow to explore here as well and now we're just walking along the road up the hill to Anchor Point which is supposed to be beautiful and we've actually found a really nice Beach just down here behind us which we'll come and sit on after we've been exploring for a bit and yeah just having a really nice time exploring so far we've absolutely loved our time so far here in tagazu and it's one of those places that and it's really hard when filming to actually do it justice and so like there's all the smells The Sounds the whole vibe about the place it's really hard to do justice on camera and um yeah so hopefully you're kind of getting the idea of what it's like here but you're gonna have to come for yourself it's massively underrated it's such a cool location so we're just seeing like Camper vans everywhere there's one Park there's literally over there with like incredible views of the sea you know definitely got to bring the van here at some point the guy was reading yesterday as well said it's a really good place for it there's just like so many places and it's really easy so we're about to come back to my van yeah it's definitely gonna have to be a van trip at some point [Music] so we've just made it down to the beach and it's so much quieter on this beach it's hardly anybody here it's really nice we walk past some of the amazing guest houses that are recently opened it's just really peaceful it's just so nice yeah we absolutely love it saying it's so nice so it's it definitely like I said earlier it's highly underrated as part of Morocco and I think I can imagine in the next few years this place has to explode because the surf is fantastic the food is incredible the hospitality is amazing it's an old like hippie town so a lot of the Surfers come here used to come here back in the 60s but it's definitely probably more popular than it used to be in the 60s but yeah it's just like it's just got The Perfect Chill atmosphere yeah we've already said as well already that we definitely want to come back here I mean we can imagine bringing the van driving it down through Morocco and just coming and parking up here for like a month or so and just absolutely chilling out it's so cool yeah you've got to come and check it out foreign [Music] yeah so that's been pretty annoying but it's been nice watching Johnny Surf and just swimming in the ocean there's nothing better [Music] so we've decided to walk up the Rocks around to another Beach so just making our way that beach down there that we were just out was beautiful super quiet no one there the beach right yesterday we were surfing was quite busy but that's the main surf beach here so yeah nice to find the quiet beaches as well [Music] okay so we're back we've been back to our room now from the beach and we've got freshened up and now we're scouting a dinner location and also going to look around some of the little shops and then we're gonna go watch Sunset before dinner foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] we've just watched another beautiful sunset and it's just gone all golden and glowy and all the greens and everything have just come out it's really amazing here sound of the ocean and I think the plan now is we're gonna go find somewhere to eat dinner our dinner just arrived and we've gone for Tajin again obviously and we're trying out a new place tonight and it's just on the High Street and we're looking out over the town so it's really nice so yeah I've gone for a honey and almond touching the chicken and it comes with chips [Music] foreign [Music] foreign we've made it to one of our favorite spots for breakfast we came here on the first day I think and we had to come back for our last date morning here our drinks have a ride so I've got hot chocolate and three gone for a man guitarist movie and also what I've ordered with comes with fresh orange juice the main event has arrived I've gone with a continental breakfast so I got toast and scrambled eggs and it enjoys butter and jam and Johnny's gone for a smoothie Bowl so that is the end of our time in tagazu we have had such an incredible time here it's so cool yeah effort and has completely been above what we expected so yeah I said recommend it absolutely thank you so much for watching join us next week as we head to Marrakesh for a new adventure and we can't wait to
