Where Tourists Don't Go In Siargao
all right welcome to siargao Island and I am on the side of the island where most tourists don't go to and I just found a little village here ah looks absolutely beautiful here right yeah I drove away from the general Luna Village the main tourist Village of the island I'm like I don't know like half an hour away from it now I'm from this little uh Village here and I'm actually low on gas but I figured there will be a possibility to find gas also in these more rural areas so let's see what we can find excuse me hello where can I find gas gasoline you have a shop over here yeah on the left side okay so that much thank you okay so I guess this is maybe like a little fishing Village oh you want to have a shout out oh hello are you are you from here yeah yeah what's the name of this little island hopefully so yeah let's see what we can find today um I hope you uh enjoy seeing these sides of the island as well I'm probably not going to show you much of the tourist places because to be honest this is not really my cup of tea like the main village here General Luna um when you walk around there you see more westerners than you see locals and uh yeah normally I'm not a big fan of places like this but of course it's convenient to stay there because that's the area where all the hotels are all the restaurants ATMs everything so it's very convenient to stay there but uh during my days I actually enjoy exploring this side of the islands as well so let's uh hit the road again yeah let's have a little look around this is a typical Village here I drove past a few Villages already and they all basically look like this oh some loud music coming from there maybe there's a little party going on together and I can see on the faces of the people that uh probably not many tourists drive by here obviously there are tons of tourists Western tourists on the island most of them probably stay around the main village I found gasoline yeah is there something here what is over there I'm looking for like a nice place nice place maybe a nice view over the ocean so over over there's nothing so maybe go back here no sir I can go here and then I can go to the ocean yeah you want a shout out shout out to you oh hello hello okay so I can drive here and then through the palm trees or the coconut trees yeah okay I'll have a look thank you okay let's go with your recommendations from the locals they obviously obviously know the area the best um I think this is basically going back to the Waterfront where we have been at the beginning of the video so I'm not sure if there's something new to see maybe I will need another stop to get some links maybe I can get a drink here I see some snacks that look interesting okay we still haven't left the village I bet it's okay hello what are you selling what is this no plastic not allowed straw so bring in shake and milky but what do you use this for this is just a bamboo oh bamboo straw I use it as a straw oh yeah how to drink yeah ah why are you selling straws here oh this is this also straw and [ __ ] and shake and Milton sagu sagu oh yeah but what do you use this for yeah 100 but this is not a straw right yeah yeah what what is this no plastic nut allowed plastic not allowed so this is uh like a straw but this is so big so foreign but why why do you sell straws here yeah because there's the there's the first place to learn but not not so much now but I try to learn a few words every day so you're all selling the the bamboo straws here yeah when you use it you get a wash hour then you can you use back and you want to use but you sell only like so many of them yeah like uh so if somebody buys it they have to buy the whole package yeah sometimes the the divide the whole holes through here because there are some some like some subgroups yeah if they have a big group okay I see okay okay I have a question uh this place looked different a few years ago right yeah it's a very big difference when the audit came here because of the typhoon last year right here it's a big difference from the other year that sausage you can have too in the other year but for now the roof we got so here coming from here yeah like there used to be a restaurant up there right yeah and some some hot selling food here right yeah yeah I see yeah yeah that's why a very big difference from the other year from now yeah I see okay used to be like even more ah so what we are seeing now is only a little bit of what it used to look like a year ago before the typhoon again yeah I guess it takes a long time for them to grow this big yeah that's why we we used to take this place to ceiling back yeah yeah I remember when I came from the airport yeah I also make a stop here on the way to General Luna yeah okay you take this place away the rest I will see but actually I wanted to tell you something about this place because this place is actually an emotional place for me maybe a few minutes ago you heard me asking oh this place looked different a few years ago how do I know that I've never been here before but uh let me explain the whole story a little bit so a little story time now three and a half years ago while I was still living in Germany I didn't had a YouTube channel back then I was being a student in Germany and I really enjoyed watching Trevor bloggers on YouTube and one of my favorite vloggers back then was a guy named Harold Boulder maybe some of you know him he's a very popular YouTuber travel YouTuber with over 2 million followers so I really enjoyed watching him I remember he did quite a few videos in the Philippines I think it was like May or June 2019 and I remember watching him and I was like wow he's living such a cool life he's traveling full time seeing beautiful places every day making YouTube videos earning his money while doing that or with doing that so I was like oh I want to live that life as well so I set myself the goal and I'm traveling I'm starting to travel I want to start my YouTube channel so I really had this feeling of here I want to do this as well and I remember watching Harold Boulder standing exactly here overlooking this amazing view here three and a half years ago and I was like jealous of him of all these travel vloggers living a life like that and I'm realizing now three and a half years later I am living exactly this life as well I'm traveling full time I have my own YouTube channel I'm making travel videos I'm earning my money with exactly doing that so being here exactly now here and remembering how I used to watch Harold balder standing here three and a half years ago and I was like oh I want to live this life as well and now three and a half years later I am here living exactly this life and that really shows um yeah keep believing in your dreams if you have a dream if you maybe want to become a travel vlogger as well or a YouTuber or whatever it is that is your goal uh work hard for it it was a lot of work for me to get to this point here um of having a successful YouTube channel but uh it's worth it believe in yourself work on your dreams and I am sure all your dreams can become true as well so uh yeah maybe a little inspiration for you guys uh three and a half years later I was sitting at home watching travel vloggers standing exactly here and now I'm living this life as well okay let's continue exploring this beautiful Island okay I am in this little village now that we saw from the from the Viewpoint up there and this is the river where you can make boat rides which maybe I do in one of the next days today is maybe a little bit late already it's after four o'clock already but you can make tours through the the main roofs here and uh the river looks very inviting it is uh yeah once again a hot day here in the Philippines so I guess the water is very refreshing yeah the villages here all look very similar like I get a whole day I'm riding through a village to see and then they all look uh basically like this it's a very typical Village Vibes here I would say the machine River yeah my bridge it's a bridge yeah and then you can start the tours there is it all day every day all day every day and what time any time any time okay no break time never break okay so that much thank you thank you thank you hey I was asking about the place where I can do one of these River tours oh yeah this place here looks really a picturesque right with the trees on both sides even leaning over the the river here and then you can start a boat right here I think I might do one of these four twice another day uh yeah you have these blue little boats down there and then you can start the tour probably through the mangroves here and I guess that's gonna be a pretty beautiful ride there's some traffic here man riding a bull oh that looks nice hello oh is this fun oh that looks like fun laughs oh nice oh have a good day oh just casually riding a ball through the middle of the coconut Fields here oh that was nice okay I found a beautiful view and some friendly little kids who already started to chat with me maybe we can talk to them in a minute but first check out this beautiful and epic view here this island is very beautiful maybe this is a rice field here I'm not really sure about that but uh yeah this amazing view here wow and yeah ninety percent of the the times or 90 of the the views that I'm having while I'm riding here are looking uh similar like this so it's absolutely epic to uh to ride along here let's say hello to the guys over there hello kamasaka oh it's very beautiful here that's very uh guapo oh I don't I use I don't think you say Guapo for abuse hello hello ah why you play pool here oh okay you live here ah so you have this view every day just driving around I don't know is Sunset is in like one hour um so maybe we can find a nice Sunset spot today let's see what we can randomly find or maybe I'm going back to this coconut Viewpoint because the guy over there told me that this is a nice Sunset spot actually okay bye bye guys bye making these random stops speaking with some locals always nice and interesting oh yeah this is a stunning here absolutely stunning all right I am back at the coconut viewpoint but uh you know my luck with sunsets in the Philippines uh this is what we are dealing with today well the whole afternoon it was very sunny and I was really hoping uh to get a proper beautiful concert today but um well let's once again became a little bit cloudy like in the past half an hour so this is uh the whole Sunset I can show you today the funny thing is I am I saw a really beautiful and proper Sunset like two weeks ago when I was hiking a little bit outside of Manila but that day I wasn't filming a video like sometimes I also do things off camera so I was hiking a little bit outside of Manila and I can show you the sunset that I saw they are overlooking the whole of Metro Manila so that was I think my uh only proper Sunset I have seen in over two months in the Philippines so far and yeah you saw me trying to get a proper hunter in many other videos before so unfortunately this is today's sunset yeah still chasing for a good Sunset maybe in one of the next videos hopefully what is he doing over there oh I think they are filming a tick tock foreign maybe I should also start a tick tock account check it out it looks actually quite funny what they are doing here not really sure what this is for maybe Tick Tock or but uh a human drone ah he's trying to be a human drone what do you film this for um just like a human drone something like this well I mean what what uh like here that looks funny but it's nice if you can see I can check you can see the results oh yeah it looks actually quite cool on the back here thank you
