hello and welcome to a new episode of Chri and bear over land with Lee and Stephie in Angola previously we arrived in a very beautiful place Sierra DEA we will be staying here for a few weeks as we are on a special Mission we have 150 anchors to contribute to the angolan climbing Community I am so bloody excited we came here to develop rock climbing cracks and equip new Roots this place has so much potential and could become a rock climbing maker but more on that in the next video after some wild camping we've relocated at the back of L's Restaurant that way we didn't get too many visitors and we had access to toilets and [Applause] [Music] water aome he [Laughter] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I think it's day four or five now in Angola it's been an interesting beginning to our big rock climbing adventure very intimidating I made a mistake I thought I had more drill bits than what I actually had we have to do a run into town into leango but leango is only like 35 km from where we're camping out at Sarah Deber and another cool thing about coming into leango today is I'm going to be catching up with an old work colleague of mine Mr Yuber now Yuber and I work together for 4 years on an oilery in Angola so you're very good friend of mine I haven't seen him for 7even years welcome to thank you no no no in your car please oh the car always the supermarket is uh exciting yeah I I will F you right now Che I love Japan Kore Journey seven years Korea seven years years we put the vehicle inside the ship we sent to Cape Town from cap now we're driving around Africa [Music] brother where's the clip team with Le in luang seven years since we working together oh man it's good to see you brother [Music] beautiful what I need you is the special um for the special hammer drill you know it's uh different connection at the bottom you know square one like this yeah we need a special tool shop I think yeah we're good we're in business so just make sure they're 10 10 mm SDS 10 mm how many don't forget your back thank you so much that's ours yeah I just got the change and look what's on the money I remembered some words the guy said manga and I was like oh that means toes I remember that it's beautiful old scho missing strong we left the car at the car wash and made our way to the restaurant [Laughter] [Music] pronunciation same like Chinese name Bruce Lee Bruce Lee that's a wonderful moment and uh we're glad that you are here thank you so much and O we are very happy to be here miss hey I miss you too po man you're the big boss you can get me a job oh it's cool play man he was a funny guy it's like Hollywood you know yeah Hollywood you want to eat the chicken really chicken where we going where are we [Music] going what's the name of this place Yuba yba has suggested we must visit namibi it's going to be very very [Music] interesting here luang is a fruit country a fruit City how many you have now five only seven seven one girl six boys five three girls and then two boys zero bambo here in Angola yes that Province we calling the namibe we got one guy with 200 kids 100 kids and 49 wife [Music] wow inside good very beautiful thank you so and we see you soon you thank you for a very good tour of leango we had a very very good day in leango with the friends and now we're heading back to what do we call home for now oh my God got [Applause] [Music] that funnel is the same funnel we used to put oil in the car but we've give it a bit of a wash it we'll be fine we've got plenty of filtration system so we've asked LS the owner of the restaurant here if we can get some AGA cuz our tank is nearly empty we've got about 6 days out of it so far we gave him a bit of cash to pay for it because he's not on Maine's water here I'm not sure where they even get their water from I hope I don't drop the bucket don't drop the bucket hold done swee [Music] look how cute this little Bri is it's so tiny lucky we didn't climb I'm happy right [Music] next huh little bit chewy but super uh super tasty not bad at all I'm still eating with my Chopsticks I've used 500 G of flour half a saet of instant yeast a good amount of salt and 300 M of lukewarm water now we'll leave this one to raise for an hour but there's only one problem that needs to be knitted again it's round and our poy is rectangle sweetie I need to need it again what do you need need it you need to what sorry now I have to you have to the floor and I will knit it again and then it will go in our Pokey and it will proof again for an hour and then we can put it on the Bry and hopefully it will turn out very [Music] nice wow I don't know how to do this I'm just um guessing I don't know if we can call this a poy anymore we got rid of our big round one because this one is a lot smaller and it's rectangle round stuff doesn't fit in our Square side boxes so this is just perfect so now another [Music] hour something like that I've cooked the rest of my steak and now with the coals that are remaining which are pretty hot cuz we got amibian hardwood still we're going to throw this one on with a few coals on the lid as well it smells like a bakery at least it's not burning question is is it cooked yeah wow hey look at that oh crusty on the bottom well done sweetie success this is something we've talked about doing for years finally we got around to it some good french butter actually it's Irish crispy on the outside and nice and soft in the inside it's good today's mission is to try to find a walking escape to the CAG we tried to do that yesterday but we couldn't find find a way down so hopefully today we can find a way up starting from the road we have left the Sarah DEA windy pass at the final hair pin and decided to take a track that we found it's the closest we can get to the river still super Steep and very slippery we wish we had our hiking poles today we've sort of ruled out trying to walk up to the other side of the CRA it's just too epic like it it is wild and we are remote it's an all day adventure and we we don't want to do that today so what we're going to do is make the river and then hopefully see if we can get to the base of the biggest of the three waterfalls that are cascading down this Sarah Dela past it's very loose under feet we have to be very careful [Music] this place is incredible I'm pretty sure the big waterfall is around there I can see the spray look at that oh we made it all the way to this big waterfall that we've been looking at for the past week now at the very bottom of the sarid DEA pass absolutely incredible only took us just under 2 hours to walk here from the campsite and it's you can see behind me here it's pretty special not many people are coming here I don't [Music] [Music] think all the rocks are loose pretty much well that was Bloody amazing we're going to walk back but if someone does stop and we can get in the back of the Bucky we may just do that what a place thank You Ah that's better perfect child thank you so much what did he say be careful thank you my friend oh God we are packing up camp it's day we think we're losing track of days we think it's day number 10 here at Sarah DEA all day every day hanging in harnesses on the ropes equipping new climbs climbing new climbs making new tracks in the bush we are exhausted we need to rest our body we need to rest our fingers as so sore my hands are there's not much skin left on them if I want to enjoy the rest of the time here I need to rest so we are going to pack up camp we're going to head down the pass for the very first time we will head towards Namib the angolan desert there's a town or a small City down on the coast there we're going to go and relax on the Beach for at least two days [Music] do [Music] [Music] do she [Music] [Music] I wonder what it is um triangle over I know might be go we not sure what type of meat this was and I tried it and the texture was just like very different I couldn't do it I translated beef I translated pork Papa Bina and frango is chicken and it was none of those three she said another word potatoes are very hey your bus no gas gas ah oh my God so it was called gal galin [Music] 10 km out of our destination which is the seaside town of mosam we're going to go into town we need to resupply we've been um 10 days or so off grid so we're going to get some food and then maybe have a look around town we need to get diesel hopefully we can because we heard a rumor from some other overlanders that Diesel's been hard to get in Angola at the moment so fingers crossed for that we stopped at the first petrol station and they had diesel you have to be careful because the two names they're pretty similar it's the gazolina and Gazoo Gazoo for diesel and the price is 135 quenza 15 to fill up the car it was 13 this is the best price we ever paid for diesel anywhere in the world we found a camp by the beach and in the camp it's some super soft sand and we got a little bit bogged so we're just going to lower the tire pressure and we'll try again we got bugged in the campsite we got those Max tracks sitting on the roof and they do look a little too brand new so I think I'm just going to dig a little bit and throw them under just to see if they're as good as my old waffle boards with this is supposed to be my rest week my rest day give my fingers is now I'm digging oh that was good not often you see us on the beach [Music] and for dinner we having a cheeseburger why aren't you eating it's still too hot for me to touch because there's not much skin left on the fingertips they're red raar and it hurts to touched M oh wow sweetie it's a very very good burger [Music] this place was called Oasis Beach Resort and because they're not officially open for um campers and overlanders the owner wouldn't let us stay so we stay there for free which was very very nice [Music] we came to find a shipwreck the Shipwreck wasn't here it said it on uh one of the apps that I've got that there was a shipwreck here but there's nothing just a dude in his scooter [Music] oh my well done it's good to have something like that happen just to keep it sharp you complacent when you're on the the roads all the time and stuff and you're only the worst thing you're dealing with is potholes so it's good to come onto a beach and have a bit of a play and when you when you're not too remote and I have to say maybe a fan of the max tracks and the waffle boards are still fantastic we got rid of them to save some weight and um yeah sold on these ones I might get another two [Music] I headed back to Sarah deliv after a fantastic uh I guess we can only call it a 24-hour rest day little drive into there 36 hours maybe got heaps of missions done and had time to relax on the beach just uh it was fantastic really cool and this is what is known as the angolan desert and it actually connects through to Namibia all the way down the coast from where we are now and it's so mindblowing to think that in only 100 km or less than we're going to leave this fullon desert landscape behind and head back into the I guess we can call a temperate rainforest or jungle up at to S DEA really really cool we hope you enjoy watching a longer episode next time we will go into more details about the rock climbing development we've been working on so see you next time until then take care bye-bye [Music]
