this is just stunning look at this that that's like to me that's picture [Music] [Music] perfect so we're still here for those that saw last week's video for those that didn't we're actually in the village of chur ch Shir in the Cason region of Spain we're going to pack up cuz we're going to hit the road because we're heading in land up into the mountains to the town of Mora this is a place we've been to once already um I think we said it before in the previous video yeah we went there last uh winter it was like - 3 - 4 too cold so we just went no we're going back down where it's warm but now it's a bit warmer a lot warmer just a huge bit warmer we're going to go up into the mountains and finally get to see this place and I'm really looking forward to seeing that view it looks spectacular as we head towards it it's like a scen at a Lord of the Rings it is station on the side chocolate box Village isn't it you would put it on a chocolate box and you would sell thousands [Music] there it is yeah see it off don't think you'll be able to pick it up from here we can just see a lump in the distance with a big tow extra lump on the top [Music] wow what a I was going to say what a difference 30 minutes makes m that's all we've traveled is 30 minutes and the temperature dropped by 6° but what of you I mean that is phenomenal I had forgotten see this is what I was about to say I had no I'd forgotten what it was like when you um come around that corner and then you got that straight I forgot what that how amazing that was but this is the the the air the park up there's water and empty station down the bottom end again this is all free pitnet tables up here and a board to tell you what's what in the village yeah I I I I think it's amazing I honestly think this is amazing we're not going to go out there tonight we're just going to get settled up for this evening um we'll probably see you guys this evening um because this is supposed to be really pretty at night isn't it it's all lit up I think so yeah I think it lights up so get sorted have some food and we'll see you guys fingers crossed later this [Music] evening so um there there there's three of us out tonight to see this I was being shouted at so I had to bring him so Senor peepe had to come and see did you bless him I think he actually wants me to go to bed but you know that is stunning that's incredible yeah I I uh do you know what I feel like we've really seen some incredible things over the last what couple of months mhm and that's right up there that view for me yeah is in my head being compared to to um carason The Citadel of carcasson in France this might offend you I prefer that view yeah well that hasn't been painted yellow which is a bonus yeah right do you know what we are just going to hang out stare at it for a bit go to bed and we'll see in the morning that's all we really wanted to show you tonight we heard how beautiful it was there it is pretty incredible morning good morning um right so we're on our way to Maria the town in the walls over there whoop whoop yeah finally going to get there going to it's been a long time coming this yeah it's going to be a little bit longer cuz we've got a half hour walk so uh we're going to get on do the the the brief walk to the T brief walk I do love you we'll see you there but look the good news is yeah the weather the weather is perfect for it today so a lot colder up here 26° today yeah very windy yeah and some Cloud yeah well a few bits could not have asked for a better day for this lovely this walk is not actually all that bad for half hour to be fair no cuz the beauty is is you've got the view yeah of the town as you get closer and closer I think that entrance yeah might also be more Grand than the entrance into um carason Citadel possibly in France that is a bit special all right let's get through the gate and see what this place is like okay well that's fabulous to start off with that's great oh look at this yeah this is proper cute yeah liking it so far however we can't mess around because we believe there's actually a a thing on I don't know what the thing is you know what the thing is on at 1:00 and it's quter 2 already so uh we need to get to the other side of the village quite quickly it's something to do with 300 years of Maria yeah well it's guarante see 300 years of Maria then this is beautiful this thing we're going to see best be worth it cuz this we to carry through looking at this place as we wander through it's like you see all these little alleys and Pathways off and it's just you want to go and see it now yeah this is too much oh Castle's that way want to go to the castle oh that does look pretty impressive doesn't it but you want to go and see this we go down to the Basilica come on well I'm in love already yeah not just with you my darling with this Village oh I'm far too easily please I'm oh don't no look that's like in bloody um vgo over the well there's a door open there this has got to be the B that's got to be yeah that's got to be what we're looking for oh but look so where's the thing Bobby like I said there's a door there but there's no one around oh I love this oh look oh W wo whoo whoo oh so H when I was a kid yeah my mom and dad had these little concrete statues in the front garden and right outside the front door was a little old man sitting on a bench just like that well hello Julian can I just come and take a load off with you have you seen the doorway to this church thing look at the actual doors oh my word oh that's just ridiculous they've even got a spare door that's Insanity that's just I have no words for it no words at [Music] all okay oh [Music] [Applause] that was spectacular the church is incredible the church lives up to the rest of the village doesn't it just I'm a bit smacked the inside lives up to the outside that's for sure yeah that organ was incredible however we now get to go and have a mooch around the village and find me chip yeah all right we'll find you some chips first come on we found a lovely little bar restaurant special yeah I like this the good news is we we've gone for a little deal which is two cetes uh potato Croquettes we call back and it says Coca-Cola but any drink we've gone for our normal Nest tea but we've gone for the local ones melaos and he's doing me some chibs I don't think it's on the menu you say you don't think it's on the menu I don't I think it comes with some of the main courses so he said I'll do you some I think the gentleman very much like us to go and sit in the courtyard cuz it's very pretty have you been down M it's lovely yeah come on come and sit down here ok dokie yeah I think it make him happy where we going to sit where you sit oh my w so that's just spinach and cheese but these are like a three-way mix of pork beef and chicken cool I've never seen cettas look like that that looks amazing they look really crispy come on them that's the spinach and cheese one yeah any good this is going to sound really sad cuz they were really cheap it's got the texture of a fer crispy pancake do you remember those really yeah M but a well cooked one okay well I'm going to be uh I'll try the uh spinach one first I'm going to do M oh that good oh this one I'm interested in we've had meat ones before we've had chicken ones before never a mix [Music] verdict good really good okay my turn [Music] gra so you're still not getting chips then yeah M oh that's phenomenal yeah I think something's been lost in communication here [Music] yeah they like chips I'm not going to complain they they're like crispy crisp shaped chips M that that's really nice it was really nice and I'll tell you what also was really nice just the little touches so in the ladies toilets oh yeah I didn't go in there You' be surprised no clearly um really lovely smelling hand wash that's clearly local cuz it was lavender but they also have Sanitary products in there for for ladies what needs them which is really nice I mean obviously for me past that not quite what I thought you were going to come out with but no but it's just the little touches little touches little touches little thoughts perfect so Darren's blushing a lovely lady 70s would you say something like that yeah was was just talking to us and she said she she thought she recognized Darren from somewhere but she couldn't Place him but she was clearly very enamored with him and we were both talking to her and she did didn't even look at me as I was speaking to her cuz she couldn't take her eyes off him oh bless and I said it's because he's handsome is the altitude she she sent her a little bit no no she recognized you cuz you're handsome and and just wished you belonged with her she was a sweet lady blesser neither of us do compliments very well anyway enough of that carry on you see this is is cute Castle oh yeah yeah that's lovely it seem appears to be a dead end yeah but I wanted to see if oh nice view of the castle yeah sure the graffiti on that oh yeah that is a good view I wanted to see if we could see into the monastery that's here that's for some reason is temporarily closed and doesn't actually mention anything on the uh web page that's given they look like quite modern houses down there they do aesthetically pleasing ones too they out quite a way look yeah you actually go and see this village now yeah yeah yeah let's go come on then [Music] [Music] oh my look at this this is like a little um Crossroads oh I love it that heads up there this is the little s like a little tat shck Road and then you've got a couple of little things that just go off down there but that road tastes so beautiful look at that building the one on the left yeah incredible this is just stunning look at this that that's like to me that's picture perfect that's proper medieval with them coming outen with the balconies closer and yeah love that I'm so glad we didn't stop here in the winter yeah it's kind of worked out hasn't it cuz and today we could not have asked a better day for this the weather weatherwise it's been sunny but it's been cold that breeze has been lovely yeah and we've really been able to appreciate this place for all its beauty if we' have come in the winter we'd have been I'm cold I'm cold un cold and we' have been mooching around being grumpy as anything we see some amazing places around the world so far and we very rarely say this but I think on this one occasion this is a if you're in the area you've got to come and see this this place is just like nothing we've seen before it's l yeah right looks like we've made it to the access to the the castle anyway 3508 okay where we're in and instant looks like a long way up doesn't it oh darling look Bull Ring oh yeah it's an old Bull Ring wow a very old Ballroom my darling H so it says Castle to our left yeah bll ring in front and it says grades grades that way I don't know what GR is no I've never heard that word before grades no wow that would be a nice house but look look look look look at this little hidey place there don't much room behind there but it kind of sums up those uh things on the the doors from a couple of weeks ago yeah in masquerade yeah sorry to everybody that we acted like numpties on that one and couldn't work out that I was going to say we didn't act like numpties we clearly were numpties but because we don't have the bull run and tradition in the area that we've lived in yeah and we wouldn't seek out um a fiesta involving Bulls we had no idea but yeah once it was mentioned it was a real it was a proper dime but donut of course that's what they are oh you don't get to see nice stuff unless she go through this no no pain no gain yeah M light and we're in doy so we got a couple of options in I presume that's the way into the main part of the castle it also looks to be a little uh little uh door door there pter fera yeah got a long way to go all that decision making process of trying to work out which way we were going to go and wow that wind through there oh oh that's nice looking down onto tennis courts uh maybe sorry about the wind guys but that's lovely oh that's really l i do genuinely know the answer to this question but what was that t why do they always have to build castles on top of those but we have made it to the main entrance that's got to be the main gate that's awesome darling look at it yeah big old chunks of wood look at them wow they're very thick it look like I've seen some uh battering battering yeah window in the Rock M that's awesome go we still got quite a way to go up Bobby yeah little birdie shouting this looks amazing I like this I like the way the Castle's built into the Rock yeah we've seen that a few times haven't we yep right we've come into the governor's Palace and oh it's on the little TVs I wonder what all the noise was my word wow I did not see this no me either there's an upstairs as well look at this oh my goodness a a a proper cave yeah wowers oh it's so cool yeah as in not hot and cool as in julo that's where that window is look it is look where they had their floors oh they had floors in here as well they had a floor in here look cuz you've got holes that side and side for for the posts the floorboards not floorboards beams beams well that at least explains that window then doesn't it yeah what a place there's a birdie up there birdie or bat birdie or a bat it's the bat cave not surprisingly cool I didn't honestly expect to find a cave in there no or the lady playing Farmville yeah I asked a question cuz we heard the noise I think we mentioned it on camera I asked if there were bats in the cave and you'd think I just poked her in the eye cuz I Disturbed her game [Music] [Applause] wow that's a long way up although we do at least appear to be at the very top yes I didn't imagine there was going to be a big Courtyard at the top here no apparently this is the main square that wind strong up here though isn't it yeah well what a view hell of a view didn't they M look at that spot on you can see See For Miles M spot on yeah yeah this is again something really special we have been seeing some amazing things over the last few weeks haven't we things that just got that little I don't know Sun extra that one as well yeah oh [Music] well that was a lot of Castle for 350 it really was it's enormous that is Dick such a good value for money yeah but I think uh now we still got an entire Village to see yes indeed or more Village to see anyway [Music] good evening yes it is the following evening we've done a bit of work today got some editing done and that and we've moved to now we don't know where we've moved to purely for the reasons that we can't work out what the name of this place is and it's not because of our normal I forget and I can't remember but on there it says in benel but benel is the town down the bottom there down there maybe this is part of that town officially I don't know cuz on the map it's spelled with two s's as well don't know but anyway we've only actually come here to see one thing which is a font that just looks really cool although having said that this looks really cool that hotel looks really cool is that a hotel well that says it's the balneario Fuente Dees which is you know the actual font Place itself gotcha so I don't know well this is uh I mean this village town part of town whatever it is is absolutely you um they're apartments are they it says Apartments La castella casana sorry on the side not a bad place to live aren't they beautiful I see what we've come to see yeah me too this thing it's very quirky yeah I've never seen anything quite like that one okay doors open to it as well open to ites side H oh we didn't bring a bottle well it's not the biggest V in the world daring I can go and get a bottle so here's the challenge we just spoke to the lady that's in it she doesn't want to be on camera bless her so we'll respect her wishes we asked if the water's any good and she made a big statement she did third best in the world third best in the world Tera third oh where does she reckon the first and second is don't know one second we'll ask the general just of what I'm getting is normally this is number one in the world yeah but there's some something in Brussels there yeah something in Brussels and it all depends on the amount of rain they've had So currently they class themselves as number three in the world cuz they've not had as much rain recently but when there's more rain I don't know but apparently they what did she say well they send it we know that there's a a bottling plant here and they send it to China China China um should I go and get the bottle yes please so I'm guessing this is going to be a fair bit different to chelva with the water that we really really loved because this is mineral water so probably going to taste a bit funky because of the minerals in it so we'll see actually it doesn't taste funky does it not is it good got a little earthy taste well that is good looks like we put the right time to get water cuz all of a sudden yeah half of the Spanish school kids have turned up too houses are they local I don't know they so oh my God daring yeah seriously look how many no it's it's just half of Spain turning up to get water we going to uh see if this is the way we get into the bares thing now and have a a quick look see if find out if it's even possible to use them or not I don't know maybe it's for locals only it looks like there's a wall well if at first you don't succeed go around the other side and try another door this yeah this looks a bit more promising is a bit more [Music] official ta well we don't even seem to be able to get any information on it and it just it doesn't look open does it there's nothing on the windows the thing I got to say of what we've read so far about this place a lot of stuff has closed down here this used to be huge massive place to come hotels numerous hotels here yeah a lot of them are now shut down cuz apparently people are just not coming here anymore well the apartments we saw at the front did used to be a hotel now Apartments there's a hotel up there that's closed which runs all the way along here yeah that's closed these don't appear to have been used for a very long time no so I think most of this is closed apart from one thing that is definitely open oh the pastelia yeah Alison spotted that I think we're going to go and get a cake and take it back to Percy that turned into a bigger thing than expected sorry we didn't film anything in there please excuse my blue tongue from my Granada so we only popped in to have a quick quick cakey bak inness and a coffee and that and the young girl in there Judith Judith who speaks phenomenal English by the way well we got into one hell of an amazing conversation and if you watch this Jude it thank you so much that was actually a really good really openm where are you going you want to go that way well if you we're talking so I thought if you go that way around yeah okay um yeah really good really open-minded and great conversation but we did kind of go on between the few of us for far too long it's now 9:00 yeah it's now getting very long and we still need to move on you got into a conversation with her about this place I speaking to her about this like we said the place is dying but you got some rationale for it now haven't you there used to be six hotels here yeah there is now one the others have all closed um basically the gist of it is because they've had no rain here over the winter the water reserves in the um the font in the mountain is down to an absolute bare minimum um people aren't coming to visit I'm laughing do you know why you not seen who's just walked over the car park no the lady with the little dog no who Judith hello oh there goes another 20 minutes oh God we're getting so s what were we saying I can't remember you were saying about the talking about the water the water reserves are not there because they haven't had the rain over the winter the only company oh hold on we're going to have her car going now bye back to the Village back to the they've had no rain they've had no rain over the winter so the water reserves in the font are really low the only company in this area that uh gives employment to people is the water Bottling Company yeah and they can't bottle it because people keep coming and taking water free from the font and had been filling 5 ler 8 ler bottles up and so it's their livelihoods that are going and the workers in the company aren't being paid because the money's not there and people aren't visiting here it's only really people from the valencian area that are of the older Generations that have always come here all their life that are still coming so their tourism has gone and Judith said we are actually the only tourists that she's seen all summer all this year wow that's crazy it's sad it's horrid you know we see towns like yane yeah and How It Ends yeah and this could go the same and it would be really sad because it's a lovely little place yeah good morning um good morning yeah we've already recorded the end of this video last night but I'm going to be honest with you it's been playing on My Mind through the night a little bit just the struggle that last Village was going through and I really wanted to kind of come back to this this morning and say if you're in this area if you would I don't know how to say this but go and see that Village it is a lovely little place you go and show them some love yeah go and show them some love I think they deserve it like aot of Spanish places I know but you can sense they really want to keep themselves going yeah really want it but look that was really all I wanted to say apart from I might give you a quick sneak peek of next week's video
