This summer I went back to Japan for the first time in six years! I visited many places that even the Japanese don't know about, so I will share them with you And for my daughter, her first time in Japan! We had a "Japanese summer vacation" different from the one in France August 9, Paris Charles de Gaulle airport Direct JAL flight to Japan, approx. 13 hours Arrival in Japan...! Overnight at Haneda, then to Aomori the next day I grew up in Sapporo, but this year my parents moved to my grandmother's house My daughter has never played on tatami before Picking and eating mini-tomatoes and vegetables from the family's garden Making handmade pasta with grandpa Cooking with grandma My sister was also back home, so we all went to "Osorezan(Mt.Osore)" together We could not cross the Sanzu River because the bridge was scheduled to be repaired Osorezan is close to my grandmother's house, so I have been here many times since I was a child Famous for its shamans who can communicate with the dead Walking through the afterlife-inspired "hell tour" Smoke from an active volcano gives the atmosphere of a true "hell"...

Riverbed with stones piled up (like a river after death in Buddhism) When I came here after the 2011 earthquake, I was heartbroken to see so many wooden plaques of the dead Now, instead of placing the wooden plaque, you can visit the memorial tower for the victims of the earthquake Beautiful Usori Lake, known as the "heavenly beach" on the Hell Tour Osorezan is sometimes referred to as a haunted place But it's not like that at all, it's a very peaceful place On the way to Osorezan, there is a spring that is flowing Brewing tea or coffee with this water is very tasty! Whenever I come to Osorezan, I always fetch water and drink some here as well Before, "If you drink one cup, you live 10 years, if you drink two cups, you live 20 years. If you drink three cups, you live until you die." there was an interesting sign that said It seems to be gone now... Another day, I came to see the Tanabu Festival Gorgeous floats influenced by Kyoto's Gion Festival My daughter also enjoyed wearing a yukata and shopping at the stalls As night, this time my husband and I came to see the show alone The sound of the music is just like a Japanese summer, I could listen to it all the time... Oshimako Nagashi Odori, named after the song and dance of a beautiful girl named "Oshima" in the past The mayor of Mutsu is dancing too... In Japan, there is a custom to remember the deceased during the Obon season in summer The Bon Odori(dance) is performed to honor the deceased There are many different Bon Odori throughout Japan, so if you come to Japan, try one! We are going to go to a certain place by boat I'm surprised at how fast the boat left... We have arrived at "Hotokegaura" with its spectacular view A spectacular spot with white rocks reminiscent of Buddha and the beautiful ocean The color of the sea is really beautiful...!

A series of huge rocks, designated as a national natural monument I have wanted to visit this place ever since I learned about it, so I am glad I did! My husband and I didn't take the boat back, but went up the boardwalk stairs Early in the morning and at night there might be bears, so be careful! My parents and daughter drove up to pick us up and we also stopped at the lookout On the way back we spotted a wild monkey...! We came to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant to let my daughter experience it I wanted to show my daughter, but now the conveyor belt sushi isn't always moving... First time at a conveyor belt sushi in over 10 years, I'm not used to operating the touch panel Family of 5 ate a lot, bill was about 40 euros! Too cheap! Lunch course at a restaurant we went to on another day was also amazingly priced! All this with dessert and coffee for 10 euros per person...! Japanese restaurants are really cheap Fishing in the sea, we caught a blowfish At the end we let them go out to sea In Japan, they play a game of watermelon splitting on the beach in the summer Handheld fireworks are another Japanese summer staple, not sold in France My cousin's family gave my daughter a wonderful soap bubble toy...! Mutsu city has a lot of parks, it was very nice I got a ride in a police car at a community event There was also a muchuran, but unfortunately my daughter was scared of it My daughter likes to watch animals on the farm and in the neighbor's aviary We also went to cape Ōma, famous for its tuna Ōma tuna, famous for being one of the finest tuna in Japan. Beautiful moss and Uda River in the Suigenchi Park The sea, river, and mountains were right around the corner, great for a kid's summer vacation! A ski resort I have been to as a child In the summer there is a climbing route so we all decided to climb it It's more inclined than I expected and tiring...

A panoramic view of Mutsu Bay Arriving at the top of the ski slope! Surprisingly, there is a proper lodge There's also a climbing record notebook, there are more climbers than I thought... There were two other groups of climbers besides us There were some cooking utensils for maybe people bivouacking There is a climbing route to "Mt.Kamafuse" with this as the starting point Next time I come back, I would like to climb it Climbed up to the shrine just behind and we decided to leave We got on the train and came to Aomori City Aomori's specialty is "apples", many varieties of apple juice! Visit a place where you can learn about the Aomori Nebuta Festival This time we did not coincide with the Nebuta Festival period Because it's a night festival and I thought it was too early for my daughter But I'm glad we were here to see the Nebuta and get a feel for the atmosphere It's so powerful to see them up close...! Exceptionally this year, there are Nebuta floats with color stains due to rain It was the first Nebuta Festival in three years, and they didn't want to put up a rain cover We were able to listen to the Nebuta music and experience the jumping(Haneto dancer) I participated in a Nebuta festival once when I was a child This year's Nebuta won both the "Nebuta Grand Prize" and the "Most Outstanding Producer Award".

Nebuta by Asako Kitamura, a female creator who has appeared on TV programs It was displayed alongside the nebuta of his father, Takashi Kitamura. Learning the rhythm of Haneto dance and the chant Rasserā Practicing together... At the end, we danced to the Nebuta music It was a little difficult for my daughter Next time we come to Japan, can we participate in the Nebuta festival...? Nebuta music of the "return" festival Can you see how different it is from the "progress" nebuta music when we are dancing? Aomori Nebuta Festival is held every year from August 2 to 7 If you come to Japan during this period, you must visit! The former "Seikan train ferry" which used to take entire railroad cars onto the ship The ship is now open for tours as a memorial ship Hokkaido and Aomori are now connected by an underground railroad tunnel Inside the ship, there was an exhibit that recreates Aomori in the 1950s The ship brought Aomori and Hokkaido back and forth, each with its own specialties Old-fashioned yaki-imo (baked sweet potato) sales, etc It was interesting and a great place to come with kids! It seems that there was a decorative blanket in the bed room There was a display of how to make a decorative blanket, so I want to make one at home I'm glad they let you touch the wheelhouse as it was back then The attendant came and explained it to us and talked to us over the sound tube! On the way back, it was beautiful, purple outside Came to cape Shiriya to see the cold standing horses These horses are protected now because there are only a few of them left Famous for the view of them grazing here, but they weren't there The tallest brick lighthouse in Japan During my stay in Japan, I visited many places for the first time And it was nice to see my daughter with my parents for the first time Three weeks of summer vacation in Japan is over I would like to travel more in Japan, even Japanese people don't know about Japan On August 30, we will return to France from Haneda Airport Looking forward to returning to Japan again someday...

I hope to enjoy my life in France!
