Vlog 2 Get to know Málaga
hey hey welcome to my second vlog so where are we going uh i don't remember how to say the name [Music] it starts [Music] do you know what's the name of the place where we're going and together that's right you say are you cold from one to ten how much you're called twelve yeah i'm painting from the call like i don't know if you can see the weird stones because i can't [Music] [Applause] everybody so people do we prefer torkal or antegera uh for me it stays turquoise okay what do you think uh well asked me in two hours well to be honest i already prefer um so we're at museum of contemporary art in malaga and we're loving it nancy is loving it i'm i'm not really feeling the art here i don't really get what let me show you some stuff for example nancy said she loves this this one why do you like it i don't know aesthetically i like it so calm and peaceful and simple and that one as well that one as well like look at it it's beautiful yeah sure and look at this like the guy took the doors and he just slammed the doors and he was like let's break it a bit and let's cut off the carpet and it's going to be artistic this one is quite nice i really like it and the one above it yeah that one is also beautiful you're gonna make fun of me no that one is beautiful you guys i found something i like in this museum i really love this one oh my god [Music] why are you so shy she's like super shy maya where are we today i don't like the camera so oh come on we are at the rooftop yes marios they invited me personally yeah she's their vip guest people and then i'm the general manager here oh yeah here we have the manager it's fine yeah i also said yeah general manager [Laughter] so they finally said yes okay nice how much did they pay you for this that's confidential but like can you give us you know it's just like i can just say that last year from what i earned i bought the ferrari okay i knew what did you buy with your payment happiness uh i went to visa for a week wow that's not a lot of money i can go to visa for a week and i'm not working well yeah i bought two ferraris one for my friend so all of you who watched my first vlog you will probably thinking like great ivana you showed us your journey to malaga you showed us your first two weeks and here hanging out with your friends trying out some food but what about malaga we didn't see any clips from malaga we don't know anything about the city so today i'm gonna show you a bit more about the city since outside it's such a beautiful day and i don't have any classes or any plans so i'm just gonna walk through the city and i'm gonna show you all the important places to see in malaga and i'm gonna tell you a bit more about the history of those places so let's go hey so we're at plaza de la constitution and it's like the city's main square uh it was also called la samayor before but um then they changed the name to placa de la constitution and before the city hall was in here and now it's like a pedestrian zone and yeah let's go to next place which is place let's go so here we are at plaza de la merced um it used to be like a market square before but yeah now it's just like a public square uh for pedestrians so i think all of erasmus people want to live in this area like when we search for recommendation we usually search for uh an apartment that is close to placa de la merced why because uh the meeting point for all of the erasmus events is at place de la merced not that it matters because we don't have any events this year because of corona but still good to know this for all of you who are planning on going next year or the year after try to find your accommodation next to plaza del merced this place is also famous because it has a figure of pablo picasso hey there my friend how you doing so yeah this is the city where pablo picasso was born and antonio banderas also actually from here you can see this building over here it's a rooftop bar and from this bar you can see antonio banderas house i mean i can also see it from here but i'm not gonna say because i would be invading the man's privacy but it's pretty cool we are at the roman square and uh this is a castle right here that you can see it's called el casaba and usually on this place over here every day during the afternoon they have like a street performances like dancing or singing so i really love this part over here [Music] okay so here they have a shop with turon now if you ask me what exactly is turon i have no clue i mean i guess it's just anything that has nuts and chocolate in it it's just like chocolate with different types of nuts i guess maybe i should just go inside the shop and ask them what is it yeah i'm gonna do it so i'm in the shop products and i'm not sure what it is but i asked the lady who works here if i can ask her some questions and she said yes is foreign is [Applause] [Music] it [Music] [Applause] so we are in front of the in front of the cathedral so they started building this cathedral in the 16th century but um i mean it was supposed to be finished in the 16th century and it was supposed to be like a gothic cathedral but in the end they finished it like in 18th century so in the end it's like a mixture of the gothic renaissance and barrack style and i really like it [Applause] there is another side of the cathedral and i personally prefer that side because you can sit and you have like a garden and you can eat and just chill so i'm gonna show you the other side [Applause] okay so here is the famous cathedral that i've just showed you and here well here is the famous rooftop bar where i've been the other day with my friends so yeah it has a nice view on the beach like on the side with the sea but also a nice view on the historical side okay enough of the historical part we are going to the beach now so [Music] so [Music] so guys if you're wondering what is this cube here next to me it's which is like an a contemporary art museum and it's actually a french branch of museums because i know that they have few of them already in france and like the most famous one is in paris i still didn't visit the museum because i'm waiting for sundays because on sundays in malaga you can visit all the museums for free from 4 p.m to 8 p.m so i'm gonna wait for another sunday to visit it so this is basically the touristic zone of malaga uh where you have like all these expensive restaurants and bars and you have the beach everywhere the palms it's really nice but um like most of the spanish people they don't go to this area to eat or to drink because it's quite expensive also spanish people have a name for the bars and the restaurants next to the sea they call it so they actually sometimes don't say we are going to that bar or to the restaurant next to the sea they say we are going to the chiringito [Music] and now we are coming to my favorite spot in malaga we are coming to malagueta the beach the famous beach in malaga let me show you how it looks like [Music] so this is the part of the city where all of the erasmus students go to and if you don't know how to meet people from erasmus you just need to go to malaga you need to go to this beach and you will find someone for sure there is always some erasmus people on this beach so it's quite easy to meet people also second tip if you want to meet erasmus people the first thing i would recommend you to do is to find a facebook page of esn who is esn esn is the voluntary organization that helps international students to meet each other and they also organize various trips and gatherings so i would definitely recommend you first to find their facebook page and they usually always publish a link for a whatsapp group for like the new incoming international students so once you integrate in this whatsapp group it's pretty easy to make to meet people because um every day there is someone who is like uh who is like texting like hey anyone up for a walk for a drink or something so yeah it's quite easy to meet people hi guys um i hope you're all doing well um i just came back home i had like a long day of walking around the city it was really nice i was with my friends and we went to the other part of the city like the non-touristic part and uh we visited like the beach and the bars and restaurants and it was super nice um now i'm just like tired and sorry guys my camera died so um i was saying that um i'm gonna go now to pack my stuff because tomorrow i'm going on a trip and uh yeah i'm not gonna tell you where i'm going so you're just gonna have to wait for my next vlog to see it but the only thing that i'm gonna say is that i'm super excited to go on this trip yeah i'm really really excited so uh yeah i am just gonna prepare all my stuff and i'm gonna go to sleep because tomorrow i have to travel and yeah i guess i will see you in my next vlog guys so uh bye bye
