Tri State Trip - Day 9 - Hampi - Stone Age Paintings
In the middle of the river, you can see a coconut like tree. Near the white building. It is Nava Brindavan.
Nava Brindavan means, nine Rishis/Yatis Took Jeeva Samdhi. Vyasaraya, Jitendra, Yogaraja thirthas Nine Yatis took Jeeva Samadhi here. You can go there by boat.

On the top small holes are there. From those holes, They used to pour hot oil on the climbers. The climber's body burns, and they fall down and dead. It was unclimbable. That is why those holes were made. They used to pour hot oil from those holes.

These are naturally formed. This big stone closed the cave path. In Ramayana's Kishkindha Kand This Vali cave is mentioned. This is the cave where Vali went to kill the demon. Cave's entrance closed. Vali told his brother Sugriv to close the door, if he does not return by evening.
When Vali starts fighting, there were loud noises. Sugriv thinks Vali is having trouble. Sugriv closes the door with this big stone. When Vali kills the demon he tries to come out, but the entrance was closed. He comes out from different came and different path.
He became angry. Thinking he was dead, they install Sugriv as king. So, he banishes Sugriv. Sugriv scared that his brother may kill him. From here he goes to the other side of river.
And takes shelter in a cave on Matanga hill. He waits there till Rama comes. With help of Rama he kills Vali.
It is near Chintamani area. There is Pattaka Shila on Malyavant hill. They stayed for four months.
They lived there for four months. Now vehicles can there. There it is difficult keep balance. It is not permitted area. There is one small temple with stone on top.
See the rock formation. Now we are at Pampa Sarovar. Brahma created five Sarovars. One of those is Pampa Sarovar.
It is very old. You think big like Manasa Sarovar. But it is not as you imagine. It looks like Kalyani, water tank. it is modernised and restored. In old one Lotuses were there.
To maintain it properly, they restored it. It is beautifully made. Here one Vijaya Lami temple is there. this name came due to victories and Vijayanagara. Puja is offered here, and it was restored.
Here one crane is working. There was one mantap and cave were there. It is known as Shabari Ashram. Shabari was here to feed fruits to Rama. When Rama came here Shabari fed him Bhore fruit.
