Travel vlog: de regresso a Portugal
Hello guys! We are packing and this mini suitcase is going to have to fit all of mine and JT's clothes considering we are travelling in the middle of winter it's going to be a bit difficult, I am already getting stressed and I just started so it's going to be complicated I need to make possible that it all fits in this suitcase because basically we're only taking carry on bags and one of them is full of gifts since we're going for Christmas so we need to make it all fit here We already accepted we're going to buy clothes in Portugal but we want to at least minimize the ammount of clothes we need to buy. So far we have thermo shirt and pants and I'm going to add leather pants that are lined on the inside why am I making rolls with the clothes? from my experience, it's the easiest way to keep everything organized and still be able to fit a lot of things why? because it doesn't wrinkle the clothes and at the same time it's still very organized, you can just grab one of the little rolls and it's a piece of clothing I am good at packing suitcases, okay? But I never had so little space to put so many things so we'll see... I'm trying to pick things that I can leave in Portugal because then next time we won't have to deal with this problem but honestly I was looking for things that I have 2 of the same thing and I never buy two things that are the same or even similar so it's a little hard We were lucky to takeoff when the sun was setting in our first flight and for those who've never been on a plane, this clip is at normal speed we are taking off sorry, it's hard to keep the camera stable We travelled with JetBlue on the first flight and the next two with TAP but I only recorded the first one Separated by the passport as usual. Portugal vs United States My grandparents came to pick us up and we had lunch with them While we were killing time, JT tried homemade wine for the first time and now it is time for the surprise my uncle is standing in front of the door so it doesn't get locked we've been planning this for 5 months I said so! this is the part about being an emmigrant that very few show we hadn't seen each other in a year it was the best Christmas gift for all of us Mom: you knew, didn't you?! you found out at lunch! Lara: she already knew since August Mom: Ah, cheater! we went to surprise the rest of the family and then went to sleep it's our first day here in Portugal and we are loving it already we missed the little things about Portugal that don't exist anywhere else and that definetely don't exist in the USA so it's been really nice. We're still tired because the other night we didn't sleep
so we're still half asleep but trying to enjoy it at the same time but it's been nice and we love it and it just started! the first things we already did were: having coffee eat my mom's food we had a ham and cheese croissant at ART'DOCE because it's the best croissant I drank Santal and Compal, portuguese drinks I'm trying to remember what else, we went to the chinese stores believe it or not they are pretty unique they don't exist in the USA, that doesn't mean they don't have similar stores but the stuff they sell is going to be different obviously, in the portuguese market they wanna sell to portuguese people so they are different, they are unique, JT loves it. We're also seeing the Xmas lights we're enjoying our time. We went to the bank to deal with burocracies and I bought a new SIM card because my phone number had already been sold when I got here we basically took care of some stuff and now we're enjoying ourselves on the way to Porto let's explain, we are sweaty, tired, done and we are currently, almost at midnight, looking for a hotel, all because the hotel where we were supposed to stay at was all a deception, the building seemed like it was going to fall apart we were extremely uncomfortable, the guy in the reception seemed creepy he looked like he was going to kill us in our sleep He was weird, he seemed like a serial killer yeah, if I found out that guy had 30 bodies JT: I'm serious buried under the hotel, I wouldn't be surprised JT: he had a this creepy quietness about him and he would just stare in your eyes Lara: be for real, if you found out that he had 30 bodies buried under the Hotel JT: honestly I legitemately wouldn't be surprised and I'm not the type to be dramatic like that JT : he gave me, you know those hairs on the back of his neck? weird vibes weird weird vibes we both had a feeling that it wasn't a good idea we were sketched out as soon as I walked in the building but I thought "well, I'm just being dramatic" but then as things went on I was like "no, there's no way" it smelled like sewage, it was bad, it was bad imagine, the sewage is backed up because there's a bunch of bodies down there I wouldn't be surprised to be honest it was horrible! So, anyways, now we have no hotel it's almost midnight, we don't know what we are doing we're just trying to figure it out as it goes we're happy, we found a decent hotel Are you happy? JT: yes! JT: much better! it's awesome, this place is awesome, I'm gonna show you guys we found a hotel.. this is what we expected but smaller but I'll show you. We have coffee! we have a decent bathroom that actually looks clean and doesn't look like it's falling apart there's a decent closet a safe... (extra pillows, is that what that is?)
there's a mirror, a proper TV that actually is decently sized, there's a desk, there was water waiting for us.. look at the size of the bed! let's talk about it, it's huge. This is awesome f*ck that other place, I'm just saying I can't wait to put that sh*t out there, f*ck that place and it says "you're looking gorgeous", look! and yes, I was excited about this, I know it's totally normal but at this point everything was making me excited after the hotel we came from and because I believe in transparency, the hotel where we were was "Hotel do Norte" they ended up refunding the money but either was it was a very annoying situation I do not reccomend, it was 10 or 15€ less than this one but it had terrible conditions, we were not comfortable I didn't record much because we didn't have much time and we wanted to enjoy it he was an amazing singer I'll leave you with some other moments to this sound getting ready for my photoshoot my photoshoot with JT had a different scenario
