Touring the Philippines' Secluded Islands for 3 Days on a Boat (Coron to El Nido, Palawan)

Show Video

hey everyone welcome back to our Channel  we're Nicole and Mico and you are watching   our discovering Philippines series we are in  Palawan and over the last few days we have   been enjoying just the laid-back Island life  here on a secluded beach north of coron but   now that we are well rested we are ready  to embark on bigger Adventures so we are   heading over to El Nido but instead of taking  a direct Ferry there we decided to go on a slow   three-day boat ride to soak in as much of this  beautiful region of the Philippines as we can foreign it's actually like a really nice big boat there's  like lots of room it's got this catamaran style   like outcropping on the side of the boat so we  got a covered section in here where people can   like eat and drink we got a nice chill out spot  right in the middle people are having some popcorn   already and some drinks even got the little net  thing that Nicole was on earlier right there   we got some paddle boards that they pack with  us and then we also got some kayaks hopefully   we get a chance to use later on either today or  tomorrow people are just already on island time   laid back life it's a pretty relaxing morning  already okay we're gonna go to the second deck   give you guys a better look from the top floor we  got the boat captain he's already there working   harder than most of us right now so those guys  are already chilling out but this here is like   the top Titanic view of the boat and sorry if  there's a lot of water on the lens right now   you guys but uh that's kind of the feeling  right now you've kind of immersed into this   whole boating Island life and I think we're gonna  really enjoy it here over the next three days all right we've made it to the  very first island and it looks   like absolute Paradise I just  can't believe we're here still so we're not like getting kayaked in  we're literally jumping off the boat   and swimming to The Sandbar I think we're  going to snorkel actually on our way there thank you first impressions of coral actually  and the Sakura it's a fish yes so colorful and there's there's that little clam  too and I saw like a big what looked like almost   like a puffer fish looking fish uh yeah there  is so much life so much I'm actually like really   impressed with the diversity here yeah just as  compared to our previous like uh snorkeling trip   maybe because we're so far out like maybe it's  because this is not that commonly yeah there are   some other boats here but that's one of the  reasons why we chose to do this uh longer uh   part of the route tours because you kind of get  away from the crowds where like a lot of people   doing day tours like here we can really get some  distance foreign just flew by so we uh swam back   to the boat and then we had a very delicious lunch  that's like our first meal it was so good we had   like chicken adobo you had crab it was really good  though so far after a really good start right now   this is like to me a little bit overcast and like  a bit of a breeze it's perfect it's perfect like   napping weather oh man it's so hard enough to snap  right now like it's not about the water man that   just takes daddy well yeah we're exhausted and  then we've eaten and now it's just the lull of   the engine as we get to our next destination it's  gonna be hard not to nap really hard not to sleep took us two and a half  hours to get here on the bus   um but yeah we've arrived at our first  location for the place we're gonna sleep   tonight I can't wait to check it out it's  just so weird because it's Pitch Black all right so we are rowing to our  accommodation for the evening on   the beach popped into a kayak in the pitch  black which is a new experience yeah this is a   it's pretty Eerie if I turn off the lights  whoa I think there's a new moon out so   it's gonna be a pretty pretty  night I think hopefully thank you thank you so much thank you all right you want  to be chat to her amazing about four seconds long   friends and there's the bed oh my  God I'm so excited because listen   you hear the ocean I hear  a generator unfortunately   you're a generator too but the genre will be off  at 11 o'clock we get light like electricity from   I think 6 p.m to 11 p.m or something um and then  it's gonna just be silent and I'll just be us in   the ocean and the other people on a boat but this  is actually really cool I really really like this okay good morning from a very windy Beach a  very windy beach in the middle of nowhere   wow it's beautiful yourself we still  haven't seen this place in the daylight   wow holy The Tide is low how are the tires so  our sleep was pretty iffy I'd say and I'll be   honest it was a little choppy it was windy  yeah oh man it was so windy I thought the I   thought the house might like though no not  that we're staying off might come off the   ground no I felt fine that way it was just that  it was so it was honestly I'm a little nervous ready for a new day I'm ready for another  day but I'm gonna need a cat nap later foreign so we made it to our first stop of the day it  was only like what a 10 minute 50 minute boat   ride yeah 10 minutes fast I think I think what  is like so cool about doing a multi-day island   between Corona and El Nido is that like we even  like hung out on our first beach this morning   till like almost 9 A.M and then we come here no  one's here yet because this is quite a ways out   for both Quran and El Nido to be like really  get into yourself the water is so blue it's so   clear the weather's really good the weather's  really good it's really nice and sunny I I   don't I don't know what to do there's so many  options we can go snorkeling swimming or hang   out on the beach and walk around the options  you're so funny so many options of like three oh I'm just so happy to be here I've always wanted to  explore the islands of the Philippines ever since   I saw like photos online of how beautiful and  gorgeous these beaches were and now seeing it in   person um I gotta say it lives up to the the hype  I've placed in my head for the Philippines yeah   can you believe you're from here I think that's  the hardest thing to like grab my head around is   that I like I am from this country that's wild I  still feel like it's so everything's so new and   different to me but I'm slowly I think as we're  staying here longer and longer in the Philippines   I'm sorry slowly starting to feel like more of  like a connection because I'm seeing a lot more   people like Filipinos living in the Philippines  all are like both staff our Filipinos and they've   just been like so great and they have really corny  and funny jokes oh my God it's so corny and I feel   like man this is this is me this is where you  guys if you guys have been watching this channel   for a while you know that I'd fit right into  the corny funny Filipinos on this boat so true this time around we have shrimp  and some crispy chicken for me   I am loving this I feel like I could eat like all  the rice right now because I need carbs there's   also some salad there's some pasta yeah I usually  ignore that stuff but Nicole likes that stuff foreign hunting procedures which is just we're  just going to look for sea turtles and   they're just wild sea turtles are not feeding  them or anything like that so just come here   they say 50 50 chance you might see some so  they're kind of tricky to see kids as soon   as they like catch them into people they  just start off from the side so we'll see   if we get lucky but if nothing else I'm sure  we'll be going for a really nice swim foreign that was great it was very cool all right  so we've hopped off the boat and we are   in like a little village it's got 25 000  people in it so I guess it's not really   that small but it's like yeah a village that  lives right on the islands here and so far and some super cute kids  I think we're already lost well it's actually been really cool walking  through this Village yeah I thought it was going   to be kind of like gimmicky coming here but I've  actually really enjoyed it like we came out of the   island people are doing their thing and we happen  to be walking around yeah yeah we're not like we   haven't been brought to anyone to buy things or  anything like that it's just really you get onto   the island and really experience what like a slice  of life is to live in an island like this yeah I   don't know how big the village that I grew up  in was but I imagine it's not that different kayak car is too strong swim so we're getting a  ride once again if anyone wonders we take turns   with yours right it's Nicole's turn after after  a couple more minutes that is the goal start this Camp is so beautiful like  obviously we're right on the water here   and then you're just like just like come up the  bank and there are all the hats like right there   I think we also might have gotten like the  biggest room in this place I feel a little   a little spoiled again let us walk you through  all the furniture in this room we have a bed the   mosquito net and that wraps up our room tour  actually no you know what's very important   the door which does close like that which we  didn't have last night we had just a sheet this is   gonna be so nice I think I didn't mind the sheet  it's just that it was really noisy at night with   the wind and so the sheet was like made everything  even noisier so I'm really excited about darn I just finished my much-needed shower I've  come out and I can already hear some karaoke   so what island hopping Adventure in the  Philippines is complete without karaoke foreign breaks the ice that's what I love about  karaoke is because you don't really have   to be a fantastic singer you just have  to have the willingness to jump in try   something new be ready to have a laugh with  yourself and with friends and just have a   good night so I love Filipino karaoke I think  that's like one of the most beautiful parts   of my culture and I am loving that  Nicole has also adopted that as well thank you foreign it was so good I couldn't hear anything but the  waves there's a bit of a gentle breeze nothing's   too crazy like it was the other night nothing  noisy it was so nice it was such a good sleep   but we're pretty sad because today is actually  the last day of the tour the three days I feel   like are flying by so quick yeah so normally this  tour is four days and three nights but our first   day actually had to be canceled because there  was two uh two two strong winds yeah it was too   strong the wind but on our way to Almeda today  we have I think we've had like a two hour ride   to get like towards El Nido and then like we I  stopped at least one Island along the way maybe   even two yeah I'm not too sure um anyways we'll  at least doing one more stop which is so good   um yeah as we make our way to Almeda  which is our final destination yeah we're officially on the El Nino side of Palawan  different side same sort of paradise same sort of   paradise I'd say it's a little bit busier here  there's I think there's some day Trippers or   something that come here yeah we've we've  gone closer to the towns so I've actually   really enjoyed that about this tour instead of uh  I think we've mentioned it before but instead of   doing the day trips with this like longer till we  can go further and I really like having beaches to   ourselves the past couple days we really have it's  been so nice although what's kind of cool here is   that there's like a bunch of kids running around a  bunch of dogs running around the kids all seem to   know the dog so I'm assuming that the kids lives  somewhere close but yeah fun just like watch them   and like play in the water playing with our kayaks  it's actually been really kind of neat yeah it's   fun that way because we've we've had our fellow  snorkeling and swimming and now it's just like   chilling and that is no shortage of entertainment  still so heavy so I was just watching the trees   in the back and then the one of the guys from the  boat started climbing one of those trees and just   did it so effortlessly just bare-handed climbed up  the tree chopped down a few of these coconuts and   after a little bit of finessing on top you  get this look at that this whoa that's crazy   this entire thing is full of coconut water  so we're sharing one like to the brim yeah look at that did you give a taste yeah I don't  know how to drink this make it like a drink yeah oh man that's good oh my  God it tastes like very nice thank you so we made it to the last stop for the day but  instead of taking the camera back onto Shore we   figured we just put the camera down and just  really soak in these final moments because it   has been a blast yeah the last few days have been  so good if you are interested in doing this Tour   by the way we uh we came with big dream boatmen  they've been wonderful like awesome the crew is   exceptional they're hilarious they're so funny so  funny the food's been awesome and I love that like   the group people is small enough that like we've  really gotten to know so many people while we've   been here obviously we travel full time and stuff  so it's really nice to just come and meet some   new people hang out with them for a couple of days  and explore like this the most beautiful place on   Earth with them we've had a lot of fun discovering  this part of the Philippines there are lots of   adventures coming up so if you like this video  make sure you give it a like if you want to see   more videos of us discovering the Philippines  and then learning more
