Touring 3 Stunning Apartments in North Dallas | Alexan Melissa, Honey Creek, & Links on PGA

hey everyone so today I'm going to be going apartment locating uh I'm actually going to be touring three different properties today I'm heading all the way out to Melissa Texas and then I'm going to head over to McKenna and then there's going to be one in Frisco I'm really excited about and it's about an hour away so um it's the coldest day of the year right now for Texas we get bullet freezing suon stop for some coffee really quick and then yeah it's about an hour drive for me to get out to Melissa um I think it's super important for apartment locators to really know obviously the entire area and being an apartment locator in the Dallas Fort Worth area it is so vastly huge I don't think people that aren't from here realize how big this Metroplex is it can easily take you you know 2 hours to get from one side to the other um so I'm right here in the middle of the Metroflex right between Dallas Fort wors and it's still going to take me an hour to get over to Melissa but it's well worth the drive I love exploring all the areas of the Metroplex and I'm first going to stop for coffee so let me get this and then I'll keep you posted okay I've just got my coffee and of course everyone just had to order you know 50 drinks and it's so cold outside my window didn't want to go up oh my gosh uh so now I'm running like 10 minutes late of course it's fine oh toally okay I made it barely on time but I here for this first tour we're pulling up right now I'm excited let's go check this complex out um Alexa Melissa kind of crazy did have to go down a little bit of a dirt road but we're a mile from the Bucky so if you're from around here and you know you know so yeah let's go check this out right now I'm walking up to the leasing office super cute office I was originally going to do a self tour but I couldn't figure it out so luckily there was a leasing agent to give me a tour so right now you can see this is the open and common area of the leasing office they have also individual work spaces which I always love seeing being used also then right across the way is a 24-hour fitness center which obviously had all the basics that you needed and hey local residents so it's super cute this was awesome too they have um bike racks with u those Brown bikes right there those are also available for rent throughout the day by the residents and now we're coming over to the pool area which I loved it's so beautiful it's also been 24 year round if you're crazy enough to go swimming in the winter and if you can see they had um the cornhole they have all these fun lawn games and then here is their mail room so all the packages will get delivered here and then right now now we were walking into the two bedroom um model so wash or dry provided in every home this particular unit's the B2 uh so you can see right off the entryway is the master and super cute tub decent size walk-in closets that every unit will have the walk-in closets and then as you go around we're going to get to the kitchen areas so every um kitchen is going to be made having the stainless still appliances and then granite countertops the wood vinyl flooring is going to be through every home over here is going to be the second bedroom with a a super large guest bath I thought this closet was honestly almost bigger than the Master's closet which you rarely see for a guest closet and also this particular floor plan I did love if you saw the that living room it's actually much wider than a lot of these standard living rooms are in a lot of days so B2 is a great floor plan this we just switched over to the one bedroom so you can see super similar just not going to have that second bedroom off the back end and all the kitchens are going to basically be the same size um in every single kind of unit they also have three bedrooms available dog park garages uh yeah pretty much everything everything you could want out of your standard apartment complex absolutely love this complex it's just a standard midrise complex nothing um too crazy special great amenities and the staff is super nice so I ended up not doing the self tour I went in and got the staff to tour me around which I always think is one of the best options honestly versus doing a self tour um I just sometimes you know have one just in case the leasing staff's busy or anything but if they're open to take me around um I always pick that as an option you learned so much more about the community very nice staff very nice property great amenities and then the price point for this is so great really great options for different one-bedrooms and two bedrooms and very spacious on the bigger floor plans and also got to learn that they do work with low credit scores um a low credit score will not deny you from here and they do work with certain um you know broken leases and everything if they're paid off they will not work with evictions and then um they do offer instead of if you can't afford you know to do like a $500 down deposit or however much it is whatever you get approved for based on your credit they offer you can do it monthly so uh the standard deposit will just add $19 a month to your rent and then in the special one so if you have a really low credit score $39 a month added so not not too crazy in a really good option especially if you do have low credit score no breed restrictions on dogs that's great to know as well too so yeah really great property I really like this area she informed me that they are building the largest HB of Texas for um it's going to be right down the road and it's going to be in Melissa there's a biy right up the road I'm about to have to go get gas and yeah this was a really great first stop for the day all right we made it to Becky with no gas to spare perfect timing we did it stopping to get gas and then I'm about to be on my way to my 1:00 tour it's at the uh retreat at Honey Creek it's over mckeny this is going to be a rental home community so I'm really excited to go tour one of these communities I have not been to them yet but they are popping up everywhere I'm excited to check it out it's they're all rental homes so it's a neighborhood you you get your own home little backyards they're amazing but you still get the same amenities as an apartment complex so you'll still have your maintenance stuff you'll still have your pool amenities a fitness center everything so you get to have your rental home without losing the awesome amenities of an apartment complex these typically also will have the lower deposits I've seen kind of how Apartments do compared to rental homes and really great option if you are wanting a rental home but you're not wanting to get up the amenities of an apartment complex so I'm about to head there right now for my next tour I will say a lot of people kind of get a little scared looking on the map at how far away Melissa is um but really it's 15 minutes from the outlet shops of Allen and the premium outlets in Allen if you know great shopping restaurants the development out here is crazy so this is no longer a middle of nowhere town like it used to be like I said we have a bey they're building the biggest HB they're going to have the Walmarts the restaurants the shops everything and everything's just going to be so new out here so um and like I said not far away at all you're less than 15 minutes away like I said from the shops of Allen and you're maybe 15 20 minutes away from the Shops of Legacy and then um yeah I mean everything's just really great out here it's a really great option if you're looking for something a little more affordable and you know you don't work right downtown Dallas but let's say you work over um finance and like uh the shops of Legacy Plano area you know you're going to be 20 minutes away it's not that far and you're getting brand new build brand new everything brand new bies brand new restaurants really great area really great option to live this is about a 40-minute drive from the airport this side of town over here in Melissa so if you are someone that travels a lot um you would have to take the tolls to and from to the airport about a 40 minute drive and um there are going to be other options coming in the future they're really starting to EXP B the airport in McKenna um so that will be an option for you in the future but as of right now the main airport the DFW airport is going to be about a 40-minute drive okay we are pulling up to the retreat at Honey Creek so these are all going to be rental homes and I love this so this is just a cute little rental home can we these all will have their own little private yards um o excuse this is a whole neighborhood of all rental [Music] homes let's go find the leasing office I cannot find where I scheduled the tour it's in my calendar but um this is also a self tour so it's tour for the homes made it on top time um but I couldn't find it so I just went to their website um this is the retreat at Honey Creek and it's super easy you can just go on and they go through rent Le so how I kind of said there's um ways to do yourself tours um tour 24 one Ry this is another one they just asked for your ID um just for the app for um security purposes and then you're able to schedule a tour I'm choosing this uh for bedroom to come tour and actually we can go out here and you can see so if you come out here and you want to tour I'm going to go next door as well or able to um tour and even the one next door is allowing us to tour so let's go in and check this place out hey so here we are walking in to the four bedroom twostory floor plan as you can see pretty open concept just completely open kitchen dining living room area they all have the two car garages which I love you know you see a lot of these new rental homes only having a onecar garage option um but I love having the two-car garage options everywhere see stainless still appliances if you look back here actually this is a really great size backyard I don't usually see too big of backyards when it comes to rentals but that's great this is a pet friendly Community uh don't mind the camera angle but uh the wood vinyl flooring is going to be throughout the downstairs and you can see as we walk upstairs there's going to be the carpet upstairs but right up here I really do like that they have this kind of second little living option so up to you what you what you want to do with that space right there right here we're coming across the master so not too bad definitely um should fit a king a little extra Furniture in here right here we're going to have the master bath not the largest and really not the largest master closet I've seen unfortunately I was actually a little disappointed with the size of the closets for that Master but right over here you'll see they have three other bedrooms and even for uh the three guests and smaller bedrooms these are pretty decent size you could probably fit at least a queen with a little bit of furniture and then you'll see right over here on about to get to the guest bath so good size there all of these units will come with the washer dryer which is also great you don't see a lot of homes for R coming with washer dryers refrigerators things like that so yeah and then I'm just going to kind of come back downstairs give you a reg Glimpse right here but not too bad pretty standard property um decent sized living especially if you need those extra rooms and really want your own extra um home and not be a part of an apartment to rent and I'm just going to kind of grab all these little goodies right here and then be on my way okay they do not have the heat on in there and it is freezing and these homes had to come sit in my car for a second before I'm going to go tour this single story next door we'll see how many bedrooms that went is and then I just looked so this community actually does not have amenities like a lot of these other rental home communities do so if you're just looking for a for sure quick easy rent home um these still are really good options right now they're offering waved ad and admin fees so um if you apply within 24 hours of looking at the property and offering one month free at least that's right now today's you know um like January 3rd of 2025 so um if you move I think by the end of the month you do get one month free so another perk about moving into a community like this versus finding your rental home where you're going to have to pay the high deposits and everything these are going to give you um a lot of different specials um deposit options and um so at least there's that Park even though they don't have amenities like some of these other rental communities do still a really nice house still really um enjoyed seeing this property just tried to um go tour that other unit however it is not letting me choose the tour now option and I have another tour I'm going to go get to we're going to go tour the third property um it's not for another hour so let's go grab some lunch and carry on with this tour still really nice Community I know everything's going to be online as far as those pictures you were able to see these are you know just standard rental homes all of them are brand new standard good size homes compared to I will say a lot of um some rental communities don't don't offer that big of size of say backyards they offer maybe only a single car garage these are offering you know the double car garages and um yeah so far I really like this home it seems like you're in a neighborhood just these are all rentals okay stopping to get a quick stopping to get a quick bite to eat I'm over here at dillas quesadilla I wanted to find something fast food cuz I only have 30 minutes until the next apartment tour but something that I don't get on my inside of town like a typical Chick-fil-A or anything else so we're going to try this and see how it is got the Lone Star quesadilla option yum cheesy now we're going to be pulling up to the links my final stop of the day this is probably my favorite property of the day there's the leasing office right there to the right and then this building right here that says the links this is the one we're actually going to go tour but I kind of just want to show you a little bit of the community a little bit this is a huge property plenty of opportuni ities for um spaces to lease and so then look at this right downstairs in this property is a market place if you're hungry need a snack you don't have to leave your building and then don't mind me rushing through this right here but I almost forgot to film but here's our downstairs uh co-working space if you work from home places you can go hang out um this has open 24 hours right here in this particular Building look at this Courtyard I love the spot to hang out love that and then right here is a little yoga studo and the best part right here I think is the golf simulator where they offer free golf lessons weekly by professional and then right now we're going to be going into the two bedroom option I'm sorry the one bedroom this is the one-bedroom pretty standard layout you can see this one has the carpet in the bedroom and then this actually has a walk-in shower which is nice um a lot of people are really liking that option and and then this you can see very similar layout but the two bedroom so we're still going to go right over here to the left and this actually master has a tub as opposed to the walk-in shower all they will have is the walk-in closets in all the units love the lighting in the bathrooms and then if you cut over you'll see this is the second bathroom this will also have that wood vinyl um flooring throughout the main part of the unit and then this actually has the walk-in closet so I love that this actually offers both options um of the walk-in shower and the tub just one more quick look love it very nice and then this is the fitness center the amenities are amazing this fitness center has everything you could want I love this right here they have that little boxing machine right there I mean I love that all these unique features that they're offering now and then look at this pool I don't know if you can see from this angle it is huge it was beautiful don't mind the camera angle but there's the pool and this whole area was so great to hang out in they've got the cornhole another Lounge area in the back um you if you're having an event or anything PE family over want to come hang out and then look a library have you ever seen a little library in an apartment I love it another little place to work and right here is the best part they just got this he's going to be filling these up with wine bottles bring your own gloss that's right free wine for the residents and then right here over here is a whole another little Lounge area if you just want to come hang out kick back relax and then we have uh poker tables pool tables the amenities here are amazing okay I am done with all three tours uh it went really while the length of PGA is everything I'd hoped for it is beautiful property and they are actually going to be having and they have two phases already built right now they're building two more right across the way so there's going to be about 1,500 units he said and it's everything I imagine it's so great it's a beautiful property the units are beautiful the amenities they have thought above and beyond the pools are gorgeous fitness center everything you want the amenities with the pool tables the poker table the library the marketplace the courtyards um the wines of free wine that they're going to be offering um location this is probably also one of my favorites of the three um this one's you know right off Dallas North hallway right off 380 but you do have kind of some of the back roads you're not going to get stuck on 380 too much if you know you know and uh right up the way from the PJ golf course so they do offer weekly free lessons with the golf pro super cool to hear and yeah um this has been a really great tour okay I finally made it home to my babies got my puppies finally made it home from that hour drive back but definitely a success for today's tours um I think the third one was by far my favorite the link set was just a fabulous property I'm so happy to hear that they're expanding so you'll have plenty of opportunities to move in there if not now the future uh that first property I was so happy to go check out Melissa Texas I haven't quite been up there it always seems so far away and I'm not used to it being a developed City like it is it's everything's just new up there it's still not quite too busy of an area you're still not a far drive from you know the shops of legacies or um you know like I said the out outlet mall uh really you're not too far from you know 380 where there's all that development going on on not that you maybe want to drive on 380 if you know you know like I said um but it's really becoming a great side of town to live on don't have to worry about am I going to be close to the grocery store or anything it's all up there everything's new now it's um really becoming a beautiful Community to live in and then the second property I visited with the rental homes was probably my least favorite of the day I was a little disappointed with their system to be able to tour the home it was a little more difficult than I'm used to and the homes were okay um I want to say I love them but they really were just kind of some average homes but still a great option if you're just looking for a quick easy home rental in the area you want to feel like you're in a neighborhood not in an apartment complex and um you know like I said didn't have any of the amenities like some of these rental home communities do but um still a great Community easy they were offering the specials one month free so you're looking at real cheap way cheaper of a move in if compared to buy like doing an actual rental home and yeah that third property was amazing the leasing staff that I dealt with at the first and third were both so sweet they both were amazing uh yeah so if you are looking to either relocate to or even just within the DFW area reach out as I am the
