Timber Trail Day 2 Motorcycle Camping and Touring on my Suzuki 650 V-Strom SE1-EPS25
[Music] okay it's got to be done [Music] [Music] [Music] okay chilly morning in bankr we go up at 8 this morning to find that it was -4 little on the chilly side for what we wanted but that's why we didn't camp and here we go start of our next day and we're off oh [Music] we were supposed to go north right there well that's a good start no big deal though [Music] okay here we go so we're headed out of bankr [Music] here there we go Timber Trail Loop ride the highlands and we're off and running oh that's a nice little setup for Halloween [Music] beautiful sunny day Saturday morning and there we go literally 1 minute out of banro we're probably technically still in banro we're on to the gravel this morning so that's nice just a little bit of uh history from last night we ran out of sunshine or we were going to run out of sunshine around 5:30 some was setting at 6:30 so we thought we were in halberton so we just took the 118 Highway over to bankra where our hotel was so what we're doing now is we're going to double back across the top here's a map right across here and then we're going to stop back in halberton for lunch and then depending what the time is we'll probably go down [Music] uh and do the southeast portion on the way back to bankr so we'll see how that goes see how that pans out during the day here there we are the beautiful sunshine the trees everything we wanted soft gravel too [Music] look at this it's going to be so beautiful today it's going to be going to be like yesterday the sun's going to be shining down like it is look not a cloud in the sky it's going to be a great day there we go headed back into gravel another stint to some turkeys out there in the fi don't know if you can see them we're up in the highlands we're slowly coming down look at that view beautiful birch trees headed on this portion going back West is probably going to be a good idea cuz we'll have the sun behind us look up there wow look at that isn't that beautiful Little Red Barn how Scenic is that we're so lucky that the ride the highlands people came out and mapped all this out for us I mean how would you ever you know we're from Toronto how would you ever find these roads look frost on the ground Old Barn cows having breakfast more breakfast being delivered vlogging I guess we're on a Logging Road now for sure nicely groomed gravel [Music] look at that down there wow wow wow wow this drove off the road do my Wows I got to learn to stop and film that for you guys rather than leaning over the side when I get enough videos I would have enough long time sufferer of a severe serotic arthritis my whole life and uh just want to get more people out there moving and doing things that uh later in life uh the more you put into life the more you get out of it in multitude of ways whether you have serotic arthritis any type of arthritis uh or not I mean wouldn't you like to be doing this right now go place I'd rather be well be kind of cool to be in a camper with my wife doing this [Music] left turn and onto a bit of rock C you guys up in a bit north Little West of bankr north of it but west of it on the Timber Trail Loop Adventure ride ride the highlands but uh it's just beautiful it's uh been gravel and we went into a lot of Soft Stuff had to get up off the P onto the pegs it's getting a little harder now but we had a lot of soft gravel and uh yeah this part is really really nice so far out of bankof is mostly out of bankr heading west is mostly gravel so far really really nice to be all on gravel at least gravel roads and look at the time of year look at the sun peeking through the trees um no idea where I am never been on these Trails before uh just just incredible riding [Music] stunning just stunning I wish I could drag you guys here to see that live in person oh my and we've got the light just about perfect too isn't that nice wow look at the leaves [Music] [Music] [Music] one [Music] this is just like a scene from a movie the trees over top I could just see like the this would be perfect in the middle of the night for filming like the headless horsemen or something like that or you know who knows Sleepy Hollow by day today just I can't explain how beautiful the ponds and the you know the homes that are around it's just so gorgeous oh here we go little bit of pavement for oh probably just 2 minutes here let's see so far it's been awesome with not a lot of pavement but look just look at the sun coming through the Beautiful yellow orange red trees just amazingly beautiful here we go right back it's so beautiful here we go and we're right back on the trail I love it okay don't remember exactly but I believe this is the start of the advanced portion or I don't know about expert uh expert advance I think is called call my mom there's two that are on here uhoh we have a problem Houston I don't know what happened oops hang on one sec Rescue 911 hold on hold [Music] on we're going to grab a hold of something solid here first ready go for happened uh I it was too tight too tight yeah like it's not leaning over far enough I got off and it fell over oh you stopped for a pee or something yeah oh I see okay just take a hole in your bik yeah hang on you got the bike [Music] yeah that good yeah back that's fine there right okay yeah it's got the [Music] KE all right here we go that was not a wipe out just for the record that was an accidental get off the bike for a pee and uh where the side stand was compressed down get off the bike and it SL decompresses and it was a little past 90° and it slowly dumped the bike over so no big deal on that one little bit of a fright probably while he's having a pee there when the bike falls over behind him this is going to be much more challenging than I'm used to uhoh here we go oh [Music] [ __ ] okay it's got to be done we hit that rock but we didn't want to there we go the water crossing all right through that made it through that now it's into sand I have no idea how to ride sand but I think you just let it squiggle around which I don't like at all that wasn't fun here we go little firmer which you made it through the water too that was ugly didn't like that squirming I didn't like hitting that big rock either but that's where the the bike wanted to go so I wasn't going to try and turn and stop it looks like the right Line's up here to me there we go staying on firm stuff oh there we go still have Richard with us that's good coming down into more sand I don't like the sand but you have to be careful yeah this is ugly forward on that front wheel [Music] I think it's all about picking the right line [Music] probably certainly for more advanced uh Riders that's for sure this is my uh first dealing with this type offer well that's not true did a little bit of this but not the sand part of it on the Rock Crusher there we go again it's sliding all over that front wheel very unsettling for someone who doesn't entirely know what they're doing well read about it executions what I don't know there we go I really don't want to go downhill in sand but that's okay I guess I'm going to fear right over to the other side try and stay on the hard packed there we go that worked out well drift back doing okay this sand is just nasty [ __ ] if I drop the bike I think it's going to be on this sad stuff still got a partner back there good you can come help me pick it up [Music] whoa there we go again supposed to just let the bike do its thing and you'll be fine don't grab those handlebars so I'm trying going well so far here we go getting a little firmer I like this way better than that sand okay which way are we going though looks like we're going I don't know I'm going to go straight ahead and and no [ __ ] okay nasty for adventure bikes but here we go [Music] here we go minor River Crossing don't doesn't look like much of a deal we'll see how it goes made Ito more sand I really don't like this of motor across with my buddies on their bikes never owned one W here we go deep sand this time let's see how this goes I swear Sand's going to be the death ofy if it happens now we're up rocks [ __ ]
