It is 7 in the morning and welcome back to the channel Welcome to the beautiful Socotra Yemen Last night I slept again on the beach here Now we are on our way to another beautiful area So as you may have noticed on Socotra I am no longer wearing the black abaya that I was wearing on mainland Yemen You'll see the local women mostly still wear it But the rules here are not as strict so Either way I'm of course still covered up with the motorbike gear Look at this beauty Ah So pretty Really beautiful Okay Let's go Oo Oo oo oo ah ah See so I now just beached the bike on this rock That's the problem with a.. Very, very low ground clearance You cannot ride any like rocky steps at all Although actually I don't think I'm hitting it with the engine it's the.. Center stand. This bike comes with the center stand

Really good What's up guys They're free to go out They just also like the shade, I think And they're watching my food very carefully Although, I almost ate everything Time to continue So we're now going back to the coast as you can see They told me there's going to be some sand Like thick thick sand But if we don't take this road 'Cause this is quite a.. this is a bit of a shortcut really Because if we go back the same way that we came It is really a long detour So this is a..

And then you're on it and you're like hm It's not quite smooth The people here, by the way They speak Soqotri Which is a completely different language from Arabic It doesn't even sound similar So for example, if you want to say thank you It's yala bak allah And then well, I don't know ooh Know that many words yet I can say uh.. Egria Which means I need water And hapria which means give me water And that's about it This is a little rough for this.. little bike So but still everybody will also still speak Arabic 'Cause maybe only like the really old generation on Socotra That will only speak Soqotri But.. Especially younger people will also all speak Arabic So the pools that I just swam in They are a permanent stream So there's always water flowing through so they're not stagnant It's not stagnant water Dear heavens [Dutch] I would give anything for an enduro With suspension right now Oh now there's come a very steep Very steep incline Impossible [Dutch] Come on In second gear No problem another one Yeah, the thing is I can't stand on the pegs on this bike It is way too low So then you're leaning forward like mad it Just doesn't make any sense to stand on these pegs So I just have to do everything sitting There we go There's the coast I don't know where all this sand is gonna be then Has to be the last bit Just before you reach the beach or something Wow This is insane! Ha ha Just remember, I only have half my brakes I don't have any, any front brakes whatsoever Oh no! I didn't shift to first quick enough Where's the car I think I'm faster again than the car Oh ah Dear heavens [Dutch] It is so so steep Oi yoi yoi Oh! Steepy steep Downhilling Just no big steps This is pretty ridiculous what I'm doing here We're going up No, I don't know where we're going I'll wait here Oh, that was fun But I think the hardest part, I think is only beginning Because now we're going to have that deep sand And it's hot So the sand is going to be very soft And I have no power But we'll see This way? You go first, I'll follow you Yeah, on the first day with this bike I also rode through some thick sand And.. It's really not so easy Wrong tires and not enough power that's basically the problems The good thing is that the bike is quite light But see already here I'm like slipping and sliding I probably will need more momentum than the car So that's why it's actually harder for me to ride behind the car 'Cause I need to go a bit faster To not sink See, this is a problem Oh, I can already see what's coming Yeah, there's like one of those big dunes, see next to the mountain? Leben - Leben Looks great So I'm going to keep this outro very short I'm back in my tent and I'm absolutely shattered It was a lot of tough riding today and yeah, that sand dune kind of killed me Uh, I got extremely overheated there Um, so yeah, that's why I think I'm a little bit tired Yeah, as you know I always I always want to travel alone Independent. I never want any guides but I have to say Like all over Yemen now doing this with local guides It's actually been pretty lovely and also a way to support so many families You know every time I get another guide, they all get paid well And then on top of that I tip them So a lot of people benefit from a visit like that So that that actually makes me happy Um, and it's just really lovely to meet everybody and yeah Definitely without these guys I would have never made it over the big sand dune with this bike Like no way No way That would have worked So I'm going to end this video, it's 8 o'clock at night I think And I'm ready for bed I'm ready to sleep So that was it for today, I really hope you like this video If you did please give a big thumbs up Subscribe down below and then I will see you in the next video
