or tigers no it's not the lion it's not a tiger it's like the sacred dog yeah sacred like a dog okay a sacred one okay guys so there you go um it's not the animal existing this world yes oh i see just like the Chinese have some non existing animals that they believe in right yeah it's for protecting this temple from like a devil or something oh from the devil yeah it's like a devil because the Kyoto used to be so like so poor the government is so poor and then they built this for protecting from the bad things okay guys i wanted to see this real quick, let's see see the statue of the statue that is in there wow statue literally frowning it's not smiling yeah let me show you from here it's absolutely beautiful for sure you know take a look they've got some uh people taking pictures here with their kimonos take a look and i was asking can you tell us like some history about this place when was it built how did how did it come up why the name um kiyomizu temple tell us something name of this temple is coming from the pure water like coming from the top of the mountain yeah and then the pure water pure water kiyomizu is means pure water okay and then the very like important person Japanese person build uh well like an shrine okay so there's some water on the mountain yes is it a waterfall or something like that yeah like a waterfall yeah waterfall okay yeah there's a three waterfalls over there three different ones yeah three different oh i see okay and then the important person in shrine the statue but this statue and this temple and then this place has been loved by some people like of course the local people in the country and then some governments and then the emperor and then some people like uh contribute a lot of money here and it's getting like this very famous oh i see what is the color orange for Japanese people cause i'm seeing almost all the temples either you know orange or they have a little bit of gold or orange so getting like this big temple so the government takes some Chinese culture okay here so that's why it's very similar it's not very similar but it's kind of similar to the Chinese temples so the temples here in Japan has a little bit feature from Chinese culture oh i see i see so because some ah the governments used to send some important person to China China to learn about Chinese yes oh i see guys we learned a lot today you know you can see the one stone inside this building and then when you like touch it with your left hand okay like it says uh your wish your wish okay come true wow guys we gotta try that yeah let's join the line quickly so we go to the like special route and we can see that statue and inside this building only in this season they said can we film inside ah no no yeah okay sure no problem so guys i'm going to experience that i'll tell you how the experience is like and then we'll continue from there, let’s go After few minutes well guys that was an experience in the you literally go through a very dark room and while you're going you're probably thinking and then there is a stone what is that stone is it related to believe or Buddha or something like that yeah believe like touch that stone and close your eyes and one wish make one wish one wish so we had to go in there it was very dark on the inside to the point you can literally not see anything and then boom you see the stone a very bright one and then you touch it you make a wish so of course your boy had to make a wish can you guess the wish that i made he was literally asking me which wish did you make i was like, this is personal i know some of you guys watching me on YouTube and all you might probably know the wish that i made so comment below what do you think i made If I see that wish, I'll say it's okay you guys are with me you know wow guys the view here i tell you what something that you can never do away with take a look it's just so beautiful you can see all Kyoto's cities that one is a Kyoto tower oh that's the Kyoto station where we just came from yeah it's just so beautiful here and this the temple right here it's looking so good you know bright there's mountains in the backside I'm gonna explain about this building okay they like some foreign tourists just take photos but uh i think this building has no guide like that even in Japanese but this one is like one of the highest three story Pagoda okay in Japan oh Pagoda okay Pagoda yeah okay and then the inside of this building there's like um paintings paintings all over the inside like dragon okay and then Buddhist statue anything and there's a one pillar inside and then this pillar also has painting yeah but it's i think it's not open to the public so i've never seen the inside of it this building yes so what was the significance of all the paintings and the stuff inside of me you're not sure sorry i'm not sure yeah okay okay okay do you know what's the purpose of the Pagoda? Pagoda yeah i think you know uh Pagoda is kind of a Buddha temple something like that right yeah it's no it's a Tomb a Tomb, it's Tomb yes it's Tomb okay yeah so is it believed that there is a Tomb inside of it yeah whose Tomb whose Tomb oh maybe an emperor or something who's tomb i know just i know only it's just a tomb a tomb yeah it's tomb okay so i don't know who's tomb it is let me tell you one more one more thing about this building that no nobody knows nobody knows so this one and the edge of this roof you can see that that dragon oh yeah there's a dragon yeah yeah yeah only this side has the water dragon shape Kawala Onigawara but the other side is like a demon face so this way let's go see this only this side is it yeah only this side is a water dragon Dragon okay Dragon okay what does it mean? why only this side has a water dragon shape because the this water dragon this way uh the water dragon shape from here to this way has a what i just said like three waterfall okay this one has a three waterfall is it kind of a feng Shui feng Shui you know feng Shui sorry i don't know okay you don't worry you go ahead so like this way has the waterfall and then actually the history of this building that you will get surprise is this main temple was burned down like 7 or 8 times because of the war happening in Kyoto okay yeah i see like after it burned and they built again okay burned and built burned and built and they almost 7 or 8 times okay and then like someone i put the water dragon here to protect the burning from this temple yeah i see wow that's really interesting so the water dragon here and then the devil looking on the city to protect the city and then the water dragon kind of protecting the forest and the water guys you got that for yourself pretty interesting history that we and some stuff that we are learning about the Japanese culture here so it's good for sure thanks for giving me all this information and i hope you all learning something about you know the Japanese culture and their traditions like some temples are sacred place so I want foreigners wear like not so flashy outfit but sometimes i see the foreign tourists we are like revealing outfit and then take a photo in front of the gates that's really not good yeah people don't want them to do that okay and then like especially in the summer season okay like some foreign because there are no like guides or i mean there are no places to like there are no chair yeah outside like inside of the temple there's no toilet or something like that yes okay so that's why people get tired especially like from the country we have no so much so hot season uh huh but not so like there sometimes after getting tired they looking for the place to take a rest but no chair around here so they sit down in front of the temples or like this place yeah that's really no good oh it's not good okay yeah okay but people do okay you can see in summer season a lot of people sit there yeah and as you can see no chair it's not good for eating food inside the temple okay inside the temple okay yeah yeah they are trying their best to study English and to speak the English but of course they're not a native English speaker so sometimes like cannot understand yeah so and then like i i've seen the uh before like in Kyoto that foreign tourists i think it's the foreign tourists who have the native language English like little bit irritating that Japanese people cannot understand them yeah and then sometimes they post on the Instagram Instagram like why Japanese people cannot speak English cannot understand English our native language is Japanese yeah okay so you think the foreigners should understand Japanese people that's what i want and try to even learn some Japanese right yes yes yes sounds good guys so let's get it going okay before going through the gate okay another gate another devil again? wash basin okay it's like an traditional water please treats with almost respect yeah so this is a kind of water coming from the dragon yeah it's like a traditional wash basin so you can rinse your hands before going inside the temple yes and then like this washbasin i think all temples has like this washbasin something like that because uh like it used okay like people say that so don't bring that devil or like bad thing with you and then go inside the temple so i want people to wash their hands before going inside and people have been drinking it it's good to drink right but this one ... it means not for drink but people are drinking it right in front of us not for drink what is this? like this one is a shakujyo this one is called shakujyo what is the meaning of shakujyo what is it? this shakujyo is like uh sword to fight they use this for fight yeah and then they have the smaller one and the bigger one okay this longer one like used to the Japanese one person use this one to fight with okay yeah so this is a real one he used if they could lift the smaller one it said like the woman can be stronger than man can be stronger than man and then the man if the man can lift this too much heavy this shakujyo they can be rich they can be a rich that be a family so if i'm able to lifts up this big shakujo yeah shakujo meaning my family will be rich right okay guys we need to try this so our family will be rich and i'm representing you all watching this video so wish me luck let's go do this okay let me try okay easy and then this oh no man i can't do this man but at least we pushed it so i guess we're getting some success for sure and this very easy yeah so guys that's it we push this we're getting some success yeah let's get it going some people used to jump off from this stage to there whoa because it was said that if we could just survive after jump from this temple like their wish come true so people used to jump off from this guys take a look at how shallow this place is very very shallow and people used to jump off yes from here the Japanese people how many years was this how many years maybe like from the 1800’s 1900’s okay wow i see so let me give you one quiz okay so can you guess the survival rate like how many percent of people could survive when jumping yeah % after jump, can you guess like percent wow i gotta see this guys see this and you also comment below what do you think the percentage would be before he says it i think man this is dangerous yes and it's too high very high i'll give it a maybe uh uh 60% uh it's a little bit close but more high more high yeah more high 80% uh yes like 75 percent wow so let me tell you why 75 percent 75% it's too high what yeah so as you can see there is a load here but this used to be the place with, like a forest yeah and then the soil the soil in this, very soft okay yeah so that's why people can survive and there so many trees under this temple so like the trees will catch them the jumping wow so this temple as you can see this pillar this pillar sustains this temple and then that one temple without using any nails just like assembling the wood so no nails no nails and they sustain this building oh i see yeah wow so guys there you go it's a very beautiful view here looking into the city of Kyoto it's a beautiful view from this side you know you see the temple are on this side and the city is right here and you're telling me something you said there cannot be skyscrapers here cause if you look through the city there are no very high like buildings high rising buildings it's just uh maybe at most maybe 10 floors or something yeah and then only the tower even the tower right there is not that very long you know why is that why is there no skyscrapers here ? the local governments prohibit some Japanese company like a building like maybe higher higher than twenty meters building in this Kyoto area to protect the view from like here to keep this view it's like the city is covered with mountains so like why some temples in Kyoto is located in near the mountains yeah almost all the temples are close to the mountains because at that time Kyoto, like all over Japan there are so many wars even in Kyoto inside the city so some people like want to avoid the war so like they build some temples in near mountain like to spend their rest of their life peacefully in silence they want peace yeah yeah so that's a waterfall yeah this is a waterfall this one is called otawanotaki otawanotaki was there a real waterfall? it's a real waterfall from from the top of mountain yeah then this is a three waterfall okay uh this water is very pure and then the name of this temple is coming from this waterfall okay and then so this is pure water from the mountain yes then each waterfall has different effects okay yeah the left one the left one is about studying you can success in about studying then center one is about love like if you fall in love with someone it gets success, the last one is about health, like a long life you can get a long life and then there's a one rule if you drink more than two water first drink you are considered that's greedy greedy okay so you have to just try one yeah just try one because okay like Japan has like original culture that's like Japanese people like so humble okay so humble that's why like more than two is like greedy alright guys so let's see how it's going to be OK tea it's green tea ocha guys so we're trying some Kyoto special food it's kind of sweet and this ocha what is it called Namayatsuhashi and what is it made of? it's like inside is anko and anko this green one is a matcha matcha anko is like made of the beans okay all right guys let's try this you try one i try one okay or you try one you try one i try one okay which one you wanna try uh i think Matcha is Matcha i should try the matcha yeah this green one is a matcha okay so let's try there you go this is the matcha one and then that is the beans you know yeah this yellow one is chestnuts oh chestnuts yeah mine literally have matcha inside of it but the food was good, we got some pastries here it's good for sure yeah cheers cheers is Kampei in Japanese Kampei oh it's like Chinese yeah cheer cheer cheers alright guys so i got this food here Okaki i literally i literally don't know what it's made of let's try it and see *heard Chinese talking about me* Japan’s what? Uh oh. You can speak Chinese? a little bit. Oh, are you a blogger? Are you a blogger? Yeah, food vlogger I'm not a food blogger. I'm a travel vlogger.
