swamp swamp let's see if we see any gators so on this boardwalk we're looking at the alligators look at this awesome sign anatomy of alligator i see a crowd so i bet you there's a gator down there somewhere we didn't see any gators but there's a cougar coming up let me zoom in a little bit do y'all see him he's kind of behind the tall trees hanging out i see a gator coming up yes now i can see my gators so here he is here's the head of the gator he's poking out do you guys see that yeah and now we're on on top of the exhibits and here's the gator head another one oh gate of heads he's just staring at me i'm the only one up here hello oh and i forgot to mention this park is divided up by north america large plains everything north america and africa and right now we're in north america section and um yeah it's been wonderful so far just walked around the swamp it's a good day it's may 1st so i'm going to try to hit up everything in north america today and hopefully some africa but we will be back if i don't get everything so it's a big zoo the world's largest so bear with me so i'm walking somewhere it's like the rocky coast or the marshlands but under this bridge is this really cool billy goat statue that's really cool so when you're walking in here and you go kind of under different walkways you might see little fun statues on your way and now we're going to the rocky coast polar bears puffins um all that fun stuff my favorite animal is a polar bear so yay and this sign is saying the rocky coast the land of contrast and there's sea lions and harbor seals first yay and all the exhibits are so beautiful i just want to show you like a step back and how well done exhibits and like laid out this places massive it's great here's my little babies california sea lions and harbor seals even if we don't see anything this exhibit looks fun i don't see anything so far he's oh in the water he's swimming so you might see them swimming around i only see one okay we're approaching my favorite animal a polar bear oh he's going inside no wait is he coming out and this is the north carolina zoo is an arctic ambassador i need a look at polar bears international that might be my charity so interesting let's keep walking i don't know where i'm walking to we'll go down here we take the paths that we do not know because we're explorers right i have no idea what this is it says the bb t ice cave is it bathrooms is it animals see i don't know where i'm going i found an ice cave under a water viewing ooh he's still pacing in this corner he's not going under the water guys we're going in something called the ice cave it's going to be cold in here oh it reminds me of sea world in here ice kay so this is also the back exhibit if the polar bears are back here they hang out back here sometimes it says otters snakes turtles and fish it's all about the stream side so you all know how i feel about otters i love them the stream side stream consciousness interesting different things you would see in a stream catfish guy up here just different fish and things that you'll see in north carolina streams and this says river otters but i don't see any they might be asleep we're back eating somewhere no they're my favorite no come to me river otters so there's always awesome maps too they're not handing out paper maps right now for conservation and everything's a qr code but around the park are good pointers or animals are let's see if we can see the otters up top here's the up top exhibit for the otters so even though you might see the underground viewing and think it's small there's always like an upper level oh i see him there he is oh my god i see him hi oh he went away well i saw one otter one of my and i saw a polar bear so my two favorite animals i got to see for a split second but um just want to show you guys it's all surrounded by like walkways and it's a lot of walking at the zoo and i'm walking backwards now but um just want to let you know a lot of walking wear tennis shoes all that stuff you know you know the drill so in this area exhibit of my least favorite things snakes all different kinds okay so you don't mess with that snake all right let's go so we're still in north america and we're going to see black bears and prairie animals now bison and elk maybe prairie dogs are here i don't know but we're still in north america onto some prairie animals now no steps no steps to the prairie i can't do it more steps oh my god there is more steps i thought prairies were flatlands come on now here's some elk and then like way up in this corner is gonna be a bison i'm gonna see if i can walk up there this is what i'm trying to find this bison hopefully we can walk up this trail and see him he's kind of hiding off on the side you see the bison ones look like elf go find the bears wow there's something called a prairie geyser it gushes about every five minutes let's see what's going on with that no it's closed for the season no but that's really cool and then there's buffalo up ahead see those big guys on the hill all right i think grizzly bears are next you're still watching at this point don't see the grizzly bear anymore but just want to show you guys the habitat it's so far now you guys see that adam oh oh he's coming up here i think he smells your fruit snack do you think he wants one of your food so we're leaving the prairie area um bison prairie things we're going into the desert now um so i'm very excited we're still in north america about entering the desert region let's see what we'll find and as you can see from the arid landscape we are entering the desert so um and it says roadrunners ocelot desert reptiles there's a honeybee garden coming up so let's get going looks like the desert is in this giant dome yes oh very cool and here's just a map of where we've been like we entered here went to the swamps we keep walking to the prairie we're going in the desert then we'll be in africa and then they want you to start snapping on the map there's a qr code now you can get the map anytime so i just want to show you guys this big giant map of the zoo then i'm going to walk around all day today for you guys so let's go an ocelot hanging out back there i don't know if you guys can see it through the glass but as we enter the desert we'll see the ocelot there goes his tail let's see if he turns around nope all right do you guys remember like biodome one of the greatest movies ever made this reminds me of it i want to stay in a biodome ooh look at this mosaic snake very cool let's go in it's a free flight bird place birds are going to be flying here's some lizard guys hanging out on a rock you guys see him and um just want to show you guys the big biodome in here oh yeah this is amazing do you see this other lizard guy he's in the little they made a section to make it fire it's in the little fire pit look at this big cacti in the description just a spiky and puffy there's oh i see two two little guys hanging out what up hey this is a colorado river toad we see him in here he's chilling porcupine i love all the bird sounds too and then there was a komodo dragon and some other bird displays in the desert area what a really cool exhibit kookaburras oh yeah let's keep exploring love it in here this is so cute the honeybee barn a whole exhibit about honeybees look at this beekeeper outfit here's a hive all the honeybees cool oh man how many do you think are in here thousands well i wonder where the queen is whoa then out here's like a big giant honey bee hive and a bee you can climb on and a sculpture i love it so i don't know if this is the end of north america we're entering africa or not but if it is i guess it'll be the end of part one um but um we'll go see i'm just walking on trails so let's see in north america when you enter alligators the swamp um the marshlands the rocky coast and the polar bears and the sea lions what else the prairie area with the bison and then the desert a lot of walking uphill a lot of trails so again where are the best shoes possible but i don't know where this trail takes me now i don't know if we're about to enter africa or not so um just want to say thank you for watching if you're still watching at this point um i love the zoo i'm so happy i got a year membership and we'll be back for all their little events um they do offer like a zoo safari like in the safari buses um in the um africa grasslands um it's 250 for the tour but maybe one day i'll be able to do that someday it'll be cool so let's see where we end up i think i'm at a middle part and it's called junction plaza where it's like restrooms and like some restaurants and stuff and then we'll be like entering africa i want to say so this area has a carousel virtual reality butterfly garden restrooms and yeah and then we'll be entering africa cool okay and then like all through the park or these things called rideables um and it says 33 cents a minute and you ride them like a bike but they're motorized scooters so if you have trouble walking on the trails you can ride these things that look like animals all day if you want to hop off hop on maybe one day i'll do a rideable and vlog but i don't know i've seen people writing them i'm like oh my god but they're called ridables so if you can't walk you can rent this motorized scooter bike thing so yeah before part two and we enter africa let's go in this butterfly garden that'd be cool kaleidoscope butterfly garden let's go in oh it's three dollars each never mind weird maybe next i did it for you guys i got a ticket to the butterfly garden before we ran out the video so we're inside the little dome to see butterflies flying near you very cool oh thank you you must see me filming you to spread your wings out right very cool oh i see one on a pretty flower for you guys beautiful monarch there's two of them there's all the butterflies in here all the different kinds that you might see flying around you very beautiful and behind me is they're all gonna hatch soon kind of sleeping in their little cocoons this is a pretty blue one that might open soon open for me nope okay when it saw me leaving you guys see it right by the rose oh yeah very pretty and then there's a bunch in this tree i never been so close to some beautiful butterflies look at their wings there it goes beautiful and they're like just all on all these bushes in here very cool glad i came in here gotta look for him in every little bush and tree on the other side of that wall i don't know if this will focus focus they're like hatching in here look at them hatching out of here this guy is coming out it's all their birthdays that's very cool so this is the end of part one of the north carolina zoo of north america and stay tuned for part two as we go into africa soon so i really appreciate you all watching and stay tuned for more adventures thanks so much
