Sunset Peak Hike Trail | Vlog 15
guys, do you remember this? so for those who are asking why I decided to hike today actually today is a holiday and HK is celebrating the Chung Yuen Festival so yes guys this is actually the same occasion that I share to you and posted in this YouTube channel, of course Out and Live and this is actually Chung Yuen Festival of this 2020, and this is the exact date while I'm recording right now October 26, and I hope you'll enjoy whatever you'll see and join me all throughout the video and again this is your YouTube buddy Louie, let's go! so here we are up guys and welcome to Sunset Peak there, as you notice it's 869m going up and this is located in Lantau Island within the next few hours we will see what does it looks like and this will be my first time actually going up there in this peak and I hope we will capture good spots and as you notice it's like the sun is already bright but it does not hurt your skin because it's already Autumn and quite cold right now that's why it's good to hike today, so anyway, join me on the next few hours of my walking trail on this Sunset Peak, it's just funny I woke up early this morning to prepare for a day of hike for this Sunset Peak actually the very early in the morning but I'm going to a sunset peak, alright ok, see you there you go, right here has a stretching place and you saw in the video I really can't do and this is hard, so anyway, it has levels to choose it has for kids and adults, I tried it and it was difficult and too high for me so fairly enough, I still did it so guys, on our earlier clip, there was going to Lantau Peak and there is one going to Sunset Peak, actually I crossed the road and I got here to the way of Sunset Peak because that's our original plan right beside it, there's another trail which is the South Lantau Country Park it'll be up to you if you also wanna visit this trail and actually I don't yet so, maybe next time once we visit here again, that's all I just reminded you guys and the Sunset Peak is right on this way going up just before you go up, you'll see here the tables and benches to prepare of course, the trail is quite long and far, at least here has 3 tables to see just quite a small portion only but I should take a rest I'm catching up my breath, I don't know why, I guess my bag is heavy I brought a lot of water or this tripod with me? quite heavy so, I'm starting to go up again so this is how the trail here looks like, you also saw on the earlier clip the piles of rocks used to make a staircase are big I really don't understand, I guess it has to be the steps, quite high for those who will hike here, the rocks are big and the steps are quite high I guess that's why I am now tired of going up and it's very steep, it's no joke to climb up I guess, as of now, I'll just take a rest first I'll be continuing my hiking up in few minutes right on this spot, I can now see the other mountain which is I believe the Lantau Peak, there it is and I'm actually seeing the trail going up there so maybe soon, we'll also gonna hike that peak right at this time, I believe it's not just me who feels the exhaustion it's the same thing the others experiencing going up here you're seeing them now, they're also catching their breaths maybe just because of the trail and the big rocks to climb up and the steps are really quite a high anyway, we'll gonna continue our hiking up just a quick sharing of knowledge, Sunset Peak is the 3rd highest peak in HK in Cantonese, it's Tai Tung Shan, as of now I'm still resting I'll be soon continuing my climbing on its peak and it's really quite tough It's been nearly an hour since the time I started hiking up so right on this spot, you can clearly see the ocean right there and right in my spot, I still need to take up that trail so it's still a long way up, join me still on my hike in this video so I'll be expecting more up there, cross our fingers I don't know if that's already the peak, someone was actually shouting there just recently and he's shouting like he's already at the peak and he was really happy, so I don't know yet but there's still few amount of trails I need to take up going up there so let's get on! actually I haven't drink my water since I started going up I'm really enjoying now how I'm hiking up this trail it's tiring, exhausting but I don't know, I'm just happy so right on this spot, late we saw the ocean but now we can see the other side of the mountain, there so, there are couple of people I just been with the hike I can't say that it is easy, but you'll enjoy this trail although of course, you can get tired but you can take few rests one at a time like what I did see you in a bit, guys just like what I've said earlier, right on this spot, you can see the other side of the mountain and it's also beautiful, also the other mountain right up there so just a while ago, I was on the other side and I saw this benches here I'm not shy anymore doing this vlog cause I'm really tired, I don't care, it's ok you can see two benches here, it's a resting spot here in Sunset Peak just before you climb that peak I don't know but I wish that's already the peak because it's exhausting so my hike is enough for a day we'll gonna see you guys up there, I'm gonna try to hike it up I was wrong again this time, I just thought that's the peak of this trail but here we go again, there's still a lot more, you see some people are still climbing up, so what can we do? we need to finish this trail the one I was telling a while ago is actually this spot where in someone was shouting happily that he's here at the peak but actually it's not yet so we continue our hike and please join me until the next few minutes I don't know but it's been 2 hours that I manage to not to take a drink and it's really amazing that I did it and now I'm about to drink my water now going up here, there are no more rocks to step on I advise to those first timers going here to be careful on this uneven spaces and the levels between these rocks cause these are quite sharp so be careful on your steps, just make it safety for your own good I'm gonna go up and hope that is already the peak of this trail and my hike is already enough for this day, it's a worth of hike it's a worth of a place to visit so see you there as a reminder again, the only thing you can go up are the big boulders so be extra careful especially to those first timers soon we'll be getting there up, there are more people already and yet if you notice on my side, it's not just the side that I took to climb up there's still another trail to use to climb up, seems they're having a hard time up there, there are handful of people and right this time the wind is blowing cold, actually I took a rest for 15 minutes I just waited for the sun to drop down a bit as you can see I'm already all the way up and the people are quite a handful they're enjoying their time, actually my phone got lowbat while I was drinking my tea and my water, I was charging up my phone so just a little more, I will there up soon this is just one of the peaks, at my back there's another one just waited for quite few minutes from down there, I rested before going up as you can see people are gathering around here, taking pictures and enjoying the view, it's very scenic, there you go so out of curiosity, I'm gonna climb up again there on that next peak here we are guys at the second peak and right around here are boulders of rocks that you can actually make fun of doing the pictures for yourselves, with your friends and your families and people are having their good time here and they're really happy on this occasion, on this holiday, this is actually my yearly desire to climb up on a peak, whichever peak I will pick inside HK it's really tiring and I'm quite resting right now yes, this is a fulfilling task for yourself to get on here, get on the top so as a review, Chung Yuen Festival is one of the most important tradition for HK people and this is a yearly occasion and it's very important for them to climb up, actually the highest peak that you could reach because there is a...
