I woke up and everything was covered in snow! it’s so odd to see the autumn leaves covered in snow I guess this is last of autumn for this year we’re headed out to enjoy some of the snow! it’s been so long since I’ve seen so much snow since I grew up in Australia I still get really excited seeing snow we’re starting the day in Jamsil which is where Seokchon lake is the trees along the lake was also all covered in white I feel like autumn passed by so quickly we’re actually in this area to check out a cafe think I managed to find the cosiest cafe for a snowy day love the warm wooden interior design it looks like looking out into a giant snow globe it even had a Christmas tree I ordered the croffle and black coffee I don’t know if it was because of the cold but the warm crispy croffle and ice cream was so good I tried to wait out the heavy part of the snow while reading the cafe also had the best playlist the snow doesn’t look like it will stop any time soon apparently this is the heaviest snow in Seoul in 100 years the umbrella was no use I decided to make one last stop at Olympic park no excuses to skip exercise day can’t believe there’s this much snow over night I think this is what they call a ‘winter wonderland’ you can see the snow reflected in the lake there are so many different sections of the park I highly recommend visiting if you’re in Seoul on a snow day someones been working hard there’s one more section of the park I want to visit it was a little bit of a hike as the name suggests, there is a single tree standing alone on the hill it’s a famous photo spot during winter I love the sound of fresh footsteps in the snow It also reminds me of the famous tree in Hokkaido the sun is just about to set time to go home before it gets colder I needed something to warm me up so I’m getting some fish cake this was just what I needed It’s one of those days I woke up craving something unhealthy so I’m down at my local convenience store I wanted to try this new toomba noodles this has been going viral online the coffee was a-bit too sweet for me but the noodles were really good I think I prefer it over buldak noodles it is quite spicy though I just working in my work space today we’re out to grab a few things for dinner I was craving some dumplings so I decided to make some I’m drawing out the water with some salt and prepping the other ingredients crushing in the garlic and ginger 2 tablespoons of soy sauce chicken stock oyster sauce sesame oil and a whole heap of black pepper putting on something to watch as wrap them I kinda forgot how to wrap dumplings but managed to get a hang of it time went by quickly watching dramas all done :) tip for the crispy bottom is adding in some flour and water and it becomes all crispy like this I got this persimmon soju cause of the cute packaging the mornings have gotten pretty cold so I’m starting the day with some hot green tea I’m still getting used to the cold winters in Korea since the winters here have less daylight I’m taking some vitamin d and omega 3 supplements I heard it helps with mood and energy levels also trying to take morning walks although it’s hard when it’s so cold I try to motivate myself by going to get some coffee first everyone was saying this potato bread is really good it looks like a real potato it’s like a mochi with mashed potato inside I would definitely get it again continuing my mental health walk today we’re at the Hyundai department store I wanted to check out the Christmas markets here unfortunately there was a 2 hour wait to get into the markets so I’m just looking at it from the outside I suggest coming early if you want to go inside! but there were plenty of thing to see outside too they had these stalls outside selling Christmas goods time for some Christmas shopping they even had a Disney store here found some cute present ideas some interesting Christmas cards these are such cute plant ideas for dinner we’re having soy marinated crab this place in Hongdae was pretty good the best part is the shell today is just a work from home day cold days are still best spent at home I’m making dumpling soup with the left over dumplings adding in any vegetables and the dumplings and just adding in this bone broth my quick and easy dinner the dumplings are so good with this yuzukosho sauce I think there is nothing more cosy then a nice hot chocolate on a cold night I like mine topped with a whole heap of whipped cream I also have my gingerbread cookie from last week hope you guys are having a cosy winter see you in the next video :)
