My name is Moinak then I would recommend you to watch the first part where we visit a very beautiful cafe in Noto and Taormina where we climb a big hill in this part, we will cover where you find the valley of temples and after spending a day in Agrigento you will find baroque style architecture everywhere in some places, you will find Arabic style as well every building had a small cute little balcony Compared to the balconies present in German Apartments southern Italy has so many of them Ladies & Gentlemen here comes the Catania Fishmarket it is said to be very popular Not really sure what one can find I can see a lot of tourists as well as the locals the fish market was at a walking distance from our Airbnb we researched a bit before coming here we did not realize it was very close to our Airbnb we reached there in 5minutes on foot as soon as you enter the fishmarket you will find hanging umbrellas on the street In the morning you will find so many vendors where you get meat products, oranges, antipasti and of course fishes the mornings are a bit busier many locals shop here you will find different kinds of fish here swordfish, shrimps, cuttlefish, prawns different kinds get sold here and the interesting thing is where they sell the fish it looks like we have seen this place before the fish market has turned into bars the kind of fishmarket where mostly tourists visit I have never seen such a fish market people have come here in groups to visit this place this is not just a fish market but a touristic place as well The city Catania has almost been saved 3 times from destruction you can say it almost got destroyed once upon a time lava from Mt Etna flowed into the city and 2 times the city has faced a devastating earthquake it's a volatile area, hence there is a sculpture at Piazza Duomo this elephant statue is very famous it's in the centre of the city and its believed that this elephant is protecting the city from Mt Etna the stone of this elephant is called basalt the black parts you can see and on top of this if you can see a blanket on the elephant or maybe the sheet covering the elephant you can say this is of Egyptian style and the rest of it is in Roman style once both the kingdoms have ruled over here hence you get to see the mixed architectural style If you are going to Catania Catania fish market is a nice place to see and you can also have breakfast there we tried some Granitas and Brioche from there we went to Piazza Duomo and we walked from there to another Piazza one of the stores in there was BATA I thought BATA was from India there are many old churches you will find baroque style architecture it's a very old city and you will find volcanic ashes everywhere people say that the presence of Mt Etna near Catania serves two purpose one its dangerous, volcano can erupt and Mt Etna can destroy the city of Catania and second the volcanic eruption from Mt Etna creates ashes which when falls over the city it makes the soil more fertile the most famous local dish is Pasta Ala Norma there is another famous food in there called Arancini Catania gave me an Indian vibe to it In fact when I was going around the market the fish market was comparable to that in India Comparatively Agrigento as a city is smaller than Catania we were so much tired that we first took rest after reaching Agrigento July is the very beginning of the touristic period here the months of August and September are very busy this is Nitika preparing tea no tea is done. I am boiling the milk the room is very untidy hence I gave you the home tour before itself the income of the city is dependent upon the tourists the temples are built in Doric style if you are interested in History and you love visiting old sites like these valley of temples is actually a stretch of 2 km you have 2 options when visiting this place and then you just walk one way back to the starting point and the other is that you walk both the ways so this means you go and come back 2 kms each , that is 4 kms of walking the best option would be to take the taxi this was the parking and then we came here from the parking here are the guides waiting incase you want to hire a guide they will charge 60 € and the second thing this whole stretch one way is 2kms both ways will be up n down 4 km there is another option for you to take taxi for 3€ directly reach another end and then come back walking here so we thought of taking taxi and not walk much so that is it and the valley has opened it was too hot to be able to bear we were trying somehow to cover this 2 km stretch incase the weather is good you can easily spend 3 to 4 hours there was nothing much to explore in Agrigento and then we went from there we just saw san Vito lo capo in google images there was turquoise water, white sandy beaches very relaxed many people spend time at the beach we took a hotel over there so ladies and gentlemen here is the view of San Vito Lo Capo beach from our hotel below is a small courtyard beside is another small hotel because it's very humid this is the main entrance that's a small cupboard to find an accommodation in season is very difficult if you are coming here in July it could still be challenging to find the right place if you want to reach San Vito Lo Capo we have left Palermo Airport we are going to San Vito Lo Capo either you can take a bus or a taxi we had both the options so we decided to take taxi taxi is a bit overpriced at 130 € the bus will only take you to the bus stop and then you might need to walk you will not find taxis plying within the city the second option of taking the bus it took us 1 hrs 15 mins to reach San Vito Lo Capo
