Sailing TWO DAYS at SEA to get to Bay Of Kotor
so [Music] welcome to our newest episode and we are pretty excited this week we finally leave greece behind and still for two days trades to arrive in montenegro the bay of qatar and this is a trip down memory lane as we were here two years ago with our land rover evander lily but this time from a totally different point of view the sea join us for this episode in some rough sailing exploring but this time it was benjamin and he was saying stop stop stop no you can win you can winch it's amazing yeah you did it huh yes oh oh hi getting up so we're gonna set sail towards montenegro it's gonna be uh hello come on come on no no so it's going to be a three-day sale hopefully towards montenegro we have the rent coming from the north so we have to attack benjamin don't do it don't do it [Music] so [Music] so there's a little bit more wind and waves than expected so uh around 22 to 25 knots of wind and the waves are a little bit pain in the ass because they are very confusing they're coming from two directions and they're mixed up so the boat is completely wobbling around so it's not really comfortable but rihanna prepared some great meal so i'm going to prepare because benjamin and yannick stay upstairs [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] me [Music] exciting yeah raw sailing yes i'm very proud of rihanna that she is taking the helm so i can have some good dinner yeah yeah i already killed oh you didn't you prepared and you also made the shirt and dink by yourself yes i didn't mention that but we animate this shoe and thing i'm not sure if you can see it yeah whoa big waves so i can have the food now and i can have the food later so i can take over the home because the wind is shifting constantly so when we put it on autopilot it's too too shifty [Applause] [Music] plan comes together we sailed all the way up to brigham disease italy we tagged i think let me check one two three four five times yes we set all the way up to green dc and now we have one straight line to bar in montenegro and we can check in over there now we have 18 knots of wind speed of 6.4 6.5 [Music] okay pitch dark hammering towards montenegro it's uh blowing 22 24 knots of wind making speed of eight nuts with just a general and a napkin of the main so it's really [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] well we are preparing our final breakfast of this uh that lower village family we thought it would take us five days but it took was two and a half yeah you did amazing planning and only only by sale so that's really amazing so i think in total we're going to use the engine 15 minutes so that's good and yeah the weather was okay strong winds some choppy waves but the last part is good so we're ending the yeah with positivity yeah with positivity we had a lot of maydays and pom poms during the during the journey and it always affects a bit but indeed we had a great great win we had the wind against us so we attacked a lot but yeah and now we're gonna sell into montenegro it's so cool to sail here into montenegro because we two years ago is it two years already yes wow so two years ago we drove with lily all the way to turkey and we camped over there and in croatia and we came over there in montenegro and benjamin do you like it benjamin is just waking up so it's very cool to explore everything now from the sea yeah so it's a is a different we never expected to to be here again [Music] there was a massive goat who text me [Music] you showed his teeth you saw whoa this is the silicone in his hive [Music] there we have the submarine oh [Music] [Music] so we just killed that super super odd and they were instantly grabbing their binoculars when we were passing by and i i felt a little bit ashamed that i was filming them but we just waved and then went back they were actually kind really friendly yeah and i said do you want to change yes [Music] we did the laundry we cleaned the boat up we need to make it a little bit tidy there's clean laundry everywhere but now it's time to enjoy the sunset together and look at this it is so beautiful although it's a little bit crowded in the bay it's still beautiful hello cheeseburger yeah good meal after two days of hard work on the on the sea yeah especially the night shows good to have some proper junk food but it's beautiful here isn't it it is and we especially love of course the sunset with the colors but all the amazing mountains yeah that's that's a good view [Music] you are a good viewer yourself and just over there across that hill there's the sea again so it's really beautiful so uh we're gonna enjoy [Music] so yesterday after sailing through the bay of couture we ended up in front of old town and it's a medieval town so we're going to explore a little bit and we're going to take you with us i think it's going to be fun benjamin is totally excited and to be honest me as well [Music] wow you're a big boy now [Music] [Music] [Music] okay yes [Music] hello oh my god this is so funny benjamin found this and he is he's in love with that truck and now he's trying to demolish this promise but then they are close it's not gonna happen ben it's not gonna happen they are closed okay [Music] [Music] huh [Music] here we go so we are in old town couture in the bay of kotor of montenegro and it's a medieval town and you can see it everywhere it's so beautiful and so well kept i think it's one of the best well-kept medieval towns that there are around right here right now and we're gonna find some ice cream [Music] i'll close this we find a city wall and we can see our floating home over there [Music] wow [Music] so we made it out gray or maybe twenty percent hello is it half ray okay half ray so this is what we're gonna do we don't go up all the way up [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] oh [Music] so [Music] it was really early in the morning oh and we saw just a cruise ship all right and yeah we made it towards the k of this beautiful small island and we're going to explore a little bit [Music] this little island is called lady of the rocks and it's one of the two in the bay of kotor it's artificially island created by blue watch of rocks and by sinking old and sea ships loaded with rocks and according to the legend the island was made over the centuries by local seamen these local seamen kept an ancient oak after finding the icon of madonna and child on iraq in the sea on the 22th of july and 1452 and upon returning from each of their successful four yards they later rock in the bay and over time the island gradually emerged from the sea and the custom of throwing these rocks into the sea is alive even nowadays every year on the sunset of the 22th of july local residents take their boats and throw rocks into the sea widening the surface of the island even further [Music] which is the typical montenegro style and you are allowed to dog here for only 15 minutes so we would thought we would go very early before all the tourists
