Some highlights before starting the tour! Today I will be staying at the famous Rixos Premium Dubai JBR. Rixos Premium is a 5 stars hotel located in the heart of Dubai's Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR). The hotel is approximately 33 km ( 20.5 miles) from Dubai International Airport (DXB). The journey typically takes around 25 minutes by car.
Let's go inside! The hotel officially opened its doors on June 24, 2017. Rixos Premium offers 414 rooms and suites, each providing panoramic views of the beach and the world's largest Ferris Wheel, Ain Dubai. Look at this sports car exposition! It’s around 8 a.m. right now, which explains the quiet — but by midday, this spot is packed with people. On the right guests can find the reception and concierge! The architectural design was crafted by Melkan Tabanlıoğlu of the Turkish firm Tabanlıoğlu Architects.
Guests can relax in the lobby while indulging in premium coffee and cakes at the renowned Godiva Café. This world-famous Belgian chocolatier offers a variety of distinctive chocolate creations and beverages. Their strawberry signature cake looks delicious! Feast your eyes on these irresistibly beautiful cakes and pastries! Cold drip coffee! Luxurious teas! From the terrace you can see the Turquoise restaurant where breakfast is served! Adding to the nice atmosphere, live piano performances during the day elevate the entire experience. Spacious and inviting, Godiva Café features ample seating for guests to relax.
The lobby is very spacious, but believe me, I’ve been here during the day, and it’s still not spacious enough to accommodate all the tourists staying at the hotel. Room is ready, let's head over there! My room is located on the 20th floor! Key card is simple and branded with Rixos logo! Let's do a room tour! I have a Premium King Room, with spectacular views of the Arabian Gulf and the Dubai Eye (The Ain). You can see on the window the Dubai Eye (Ain Dubai).
Ain Dubai is the world's tallest and largest observation wheel, standing at an impressive height of 250m (820 feet). The Premium King Room (37 to 48 m²) features a large double bed, a seating area with a 48" LED TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and a standalone shower. Let's see the bathroom! Something I noticed about the room, the smell is a bit heavy, not that fresh and clean scent you’d hope for. Maybe it’s because the hotel is already quite old.
From here you can see the beach and the main pool! Before we get into the room details, just look at this view one more time! The view is already beautiful, but I can’t wait to show you how it looks at sunset and at night! On the hallway guests can find the temperature control panel. Near TV is the mini-bar! These products are not complimentary; guests can check the prices on the website. Only 2 capsules of Illy coffee are complementary! Snacks and alcoholic drinks! Here, guests will find an Illy coffee machine along with coffee cups, sugar, milk, and everything needed to personalize your coffee! La Provence tea! Below is the mini-fridge! Soft drinks and alcoholic drinks! Beside the bed, guests will find a direct-dial phone for reception and room service, complimentary water, and a control panel for lighting and other room features.
Let's close the curtain! On this side of the bed, you’ll find water and power outlets. For Dubai and all places within United Arab Emirates the associated plug type is G, which is the plug that has three rectangular pins in a triangular pattern. A pillow menu! The sheets are simple, with a subtle linear pattern! Near TV is the remote control! The desk is equipped with a direct-line phone, an agenda, and a pen.
Let's see the bathroom! Guests are kindly encouraged to help protect the environment by reusing their towels and bathrobes during their stay. The towels are branded with Rixos logo! Body and hair care products are provided by L’Occitane! L’Occitane en Provence is a French luxury brand known for its high-quality skincare and body care products, made with sustainably sourced natural ingredients like shea butter, lavender and almond. Hand soap! Dental kit! Vanity kit and shower cap! Separate shower and toilet cabin! The shower features both rain and power heads! L’Occitane hair and body products! Toilet cabin featuring a bidet! In the hallway, guests will find closets to store their belongings.
Hangers, an ironing board, and branded bathrobes. Branded slippers! Room tour is ready! Let's go to the pool! Pool is located at floor B1. Only guests have access to the hotel's pool! The hotel's design draws inspiration from precious stones, featuring dissimilar triangles and varying angles both horizontally and vertically on its façade.
While known as a trendy hotspot, the hotel is equally favoured by families traveling with young kids. The pool is kid-friendly, featuring shallow areas and a gradual depth increase for added safety. In addition to classic sunbeds, guests can also enjoy more private and comfortable cabanas with access to a private pool. For lunch, I chose the Greek restaurant Ammos. Let's have a look on the drinks menu! Let's see the food menu! The Chicken Souvlaki sounds delicious! There is also a wine menu! You can select the fish you'd like to have freshly prepared for you.
Ammos Greek Restaurant has been honoured with the title of "Ambassador for Greek Gastronomy 2021" by the Greek Taste Beyond Borders organization, reflecting its commitment to authentic Greek culinary excellence. My mocktail is here and looks refreshing! They offer a complimentary starter featuring freshly baked bread served with a traditional spicy feta cheese dip. Very very delicious! I opted for the Chicken Souvlaki, served with hand-cut fries, tzatziki, onion, parsley, grilled tomato, and warm pita bread. Such a delicious meal! If you stay at Rixos definitely try Ammos. Returning to my room, I was greeted by this beautiful sunset. With a close-up lens, the Wheel looks even more striking.
There’s plenty of activity, with many boats still out on the water. love these sunset hues the most, when the sun has already dipped below the horizon, and the sky is painted in shades of orange, purple, yellow, and blue. This is known as the blue hour! Let's step out to see the hotel beautifully lit at night, with the city lights sparkling all around. WOW! What a view from my room! After a good night sleep let's have some breakfast! Breakfast is served at Turquoise restaurant floor B1. Spacious restaurant and they also have seats outside! French toast! Here you can find a selection of mini sandwiches! Olives, assorted pickles and fermented vegetables. This is where guest can find soup (lentil and chicken broth)! This counter is for cooked food! Here you can find fruit jam, honey, compote, seeds and dried fruits! A variety of nuts and dried fruits! Cereals and yogurts! Chia pudding and fruit yogurts! Here you can find the veggies, where you can create your own salad.
Here are the waffles and pancakes! You can assort them with a variety of candies. Next to it is the ice cream counter. This is the Gluten Free section. This looks like a kids' stand with a variety of cereals and milk available. You can get freshly cooked eggs Benedict right here.
Condiments! This is the Indian food section. A variety of freshly cut and whole fruits available. This is the sweets and pastries corner! A variety of cheese! This stand offers smoked fish, salmon, and a variety of cold cuts. A variety of breads including croissants, baguettes, sourdough, multigrain.
Bon appétit! After breakfast, it’s pool time again! I love the pool in the early morning. It’s so peaceful and almost empty. That signature Rixos blue? Somewhere between a deep teal and Mediterranean turquoise, absolutely stunning color. For families with kids, this is a great place, your little ones can have fun at the kids' club while you get to relax a bit.
This alee take you directly to the beach! Note: guests wake up very early to reserve sun-beds by the pool or beach, as there’s quite a shortage during the day. This right here is Rixos private beach! Such a beautiful view in the morning, the sun shining on the building, surrounded by greenery and flowers. The perfect calm before the daily rush of guests begins. Guests can also purchase a day at the more private and luxurious cabanas, which come with their own private pool. The building on the left is the newly open Five Luxe JBR. In the distance you can see the famous Address Beach Resort, home to the world's highest outdoor infinity pool.
Thanks for watching!
