REMOTE Island Camping Exmouth
good morning good morning rise and shine bit of an early start for us this morning not too bad just Jacko and I just us two we've got the swag oh how romantic Jacko literally couldn't sleep last night cuz he was so excited it was he has been driving me nuts he been on land like look at the day look at the day look the day and his dad and the rest of the crew were in canav and uh 5 hours south of something like that so we've had to get him out in the water because he's just going berserk uh but where we're going today looks bloody incredible we got 60 km to get across there but I would love to see some killer whales on the way I don't think we will but you never know this Coastline has a lot of unique animals so fingers crossed well we've made it 50k looks like there's been a wre boat here recently how's that two brand new Motors on that thing apparently we read before we come out or not R got told we anchored it too far up the beach and then it got stuck then I guess it's still here I don't know if they're coming out to get it but it's been here a while now I wonder if it's on Salvage right there's 2 150 gammies on the back of I'm going to go have a look around the other side cuz it looked like there was a nice little Anchorage there but we don't like there we come Camp back around here how's the tide line Looks like this is going to be Camp up in here we just seen a sailor down there and um I told him the weather forecast he's no internet internet out here and it's like a glass out for 3 days he was devastated sailor's nightmare all righty we've got our camp set up done in there now time to go explore the area look at the glass out we have couple turtles mating here look at it [ __ ] hanging on just looking for some fishing ground didn't really M the area out before I come out so looking for a bit of a lump to come up on the sander as I'm doing that I'm just going to each island and I'm going to throw some stickies at him then once I get past the furthest Island I'll go out and jig hope I can mark up some stuff the water is very green there's a bit of a downer we getet to start catching fish of here right had a pretty humbling fishing experience today haven't caught anything decent caught a few like little crap fish um and then I was on Navionics and I found the this sh I was jigging on it and then about four boats rocked up and they all start trolling around me catching Wahoo after Wahoo so I Chuck me line out to start trolling as well hook on the one drop it been trolling for about another hour and a half 2 hours since haven't had another hit kind of chewed up most my day anyway troll back to camp and have a cry oh big day in the sun I nearly just blacked out I've been doing my videos and um this happens a bit you know I put together usually videos with us catching amazing fish but when you come to new places it is hard to figure them out and to nail it straight away um so tomorrow I have a little bit more of a game planned for tomorrow and hopefully we can get him but yeah tonight we're eating tin tuna and sandwiches no fish I was thinking I was going to come out here and clean up but it happens the aftermath tin shuna that's what you get when you're not the provider that's been consoling me all la fish got lucky today very lucky he got humbled got hum needed it guys he needed it he was going psycho he gets fish mad and he just and today we're going to be doing a bit of jigging and hopefully we can get oursel a red that's the goal KRA and Aro will'll be fishing for a while what get that GoPro pole I'll put the GoPro on it look yeah Ali he got spango like a monster spango that is a monster stand guys I right this a big red ey it PE [ __ ] it's a big red Bass no way is this what people confuse mango Jack with yeah red bass it's a sinker too a it's a big one wow it's a giant wonder I got this is actually the first one I've bought the big red bass a lot of people mistake these with um Mangrove Jacks but can't quite remember what the difference in him is i' see the orange around it's ey post on that I'm pretty sure that's usually the giveaway for a red bass and not a Jack I mean this one's quite distinctively looks like a red bass but look so similar to a m Jack over in West O they don't get sarian so you can eat them look at these te right we just spear him see if he swims get out of the bottom it is might be a trap looking very trout light coronation Coro wow so pretty H this one's a coronation track and I reckon it's the prettiest fish in the sea um we said before we're going to go jigging haven't been getting one hit on The Jig and I caught like a couple of these These are called little well I think they're called Charlie Co and when if you're jiging and you catch one of these I usually just cut a fillet off it and use him for bait cuz we'll get no hits on the jigs some days the jigs don't work sometimes you need to use baake look at that fish incredible look at the colors on it I knew it was a trout then cuz it buried me for a second but I got him out look he had himself very wed in the bottom that's what he just spewed up send that [Music] down what have we got here it's feeling very ranky can look Ranken Ranken little one the Ranken catch him over here on the West Coast don't get him over East such a pretty C fish has the faes to okay so we got a rank coronation spango and a red bass all different Mi bag no red get a red you got him and for a w who it wasn't a particularly outrageous fight yep y oh my Lord [Music] all right J [Music] [Music] [Music] going to move it out a bit that's good but you don't you're going to plastic yeah yep is it just the same as the other one yeah thing yep that's the thing I think it's the Spanish Spanish eh yeah get the GFF watch out yeah that was pretty sick he on light gear look I think that's my first Spanish on a soft plastic usually you get snipped with the not using more but look at that fish way on a plastic it's over there there a there's a few launching around here he plastic talk you through the setup we're running today so Steph's using this little flut jig here on this overhead Grappler the set up if you're going to jig is unreal having a nice light Rod makes such a difference especially if you're jigging all day you don't get tired and then what I have usually is one jig out and then one bait rod and I learned this rig from a guy who does the charterers and the way I have it is this triple swivel to a line and I have two of them on like that with this big Sinker at the bottom like that and why I do that with this swiveled line cuz if you get a shark and it's hooked on here at least if you break it off all you're really retying is just that knot there so you don't lose as much gear you're not losing sinkers all the time works super well that's a jig Queen what she chasing today coold trout or something coold trout uh I don't know something red something red I'm going to drop the bait down here we go up it B it yeah now chinan oh no trap big TR that's a hell trout yay yes on the flut jig look at the mouth on that thing God you it's a really goodish what's it doing this [Music] for beautiful coal trout so you are getting upset online I don't care but we're chucking this straight on the fire yeah we don't have anything else to really cook it in got no foil oh there ISO couple queenies is there that's cool Griggs is flying the drone look at that oh no way that's really big where is that we chucking it on there yeah yeah so we have no Al oil no butter no lemons nothing but we have Sal pepper perfect yeah that's how we're doing it I'll pick him up why he's reasonably soft he still P the CER L on the edge of it and then we can move more under as want we've cooked it let's have a look we're just going to rip the skin off now the skin just peels off like the foil oh that looks good it does look good day can't believe how well that's worked turn out we're going to taste it yet but don't we yeah can't call it too early no I can't call it too early hopefully it's cooked through I think it's more normal now that's so good what do you R it out of 10 for what we've done you comparing it to seasoned blue bone cook in a kitchen well you're probably going to get a humble good morning not a bad feed last night of the trout it was definitely it was pretty good I was actually quite surprised what do you reckon it was actually surprisingly so yum it was okay A little bit of lemon a little bit more salt and pepper and cooked a little bit longer it would have been perfect but it was like a 9 out of 10 so that's pretty good being a very harsh pretty cool to know you can just catch a fish gut it and Chuck it straight on the fire but my boat has been leaking like mad um lucky I have the auto build now and you can see it just switching on all night my battery for my motor keeps like almost carking it lucky I got a pull start with it but look at all the water in here I found a hole this is like the boat's just constantly like this just full [ __ ] water look at that hole right there just always new holes popping up on this thing this is the last year for wild instinct no no Fletch is just packing up today he's been camping with us for the last two days but he's got to get back to work tomorrow where we probably should be we'll see him in a few weeks we'll see him in a few weeks not next weekend the weekend after yeah um but yeah he's taken off that way we're going to head off this way see if your taper w't St oh yeah let's have a look at this it's a fountain okay all right let's see we go I've done this with wax before last for like a day and now at least I can at least I can get the water out and let it dry and then try and put some tape or something time to go fishing now let's go fishing what are we going to catch today all the years of fishing this my first golden TR valy look at him he's not sick see mate just out front of Camp D got
