One big regret in Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Welcome to our Channel travel the world an Kreyol my name is Viviane, Mario and I are on our way to Playa del Carmen today from Cancun so we decided to just spend the day at Playa Del Carmen we are at the bus station ADO bus station in Cancun to Playa del Carmen it's about an hour trip and it cost us 11 US dollars per person round trip It goes to Tulum, Merida, Playa del Carmen, very interesting and so affordable than driving so we're on the bus on our way to Playa del Carmen so when we get there we will let you know um how everything goes so practically the bus is 208 pesos round trip per person and that's about 11 dollars depending on the this exchange yeah 10 to 12 dollars so on today's rate yeah so so 10 to 12 dollars per person to Playa del carmen so um the adventure continues. about 1&1/2 hour do you want to say it in Creole for our compatriots? ADO bus station yeah like I showed you on the video yeah bus has AC, TV so we will show some footage on the way and see you there short ride later we are at Playa Del Carmen and the bus dropped us off like the bus station is right in the middle of the action like it could not be better you don't need a car at all from the bus station from the bus station you're right on the beach right in the middle of everything so that's perfect so the famous Fifth Avenue is right there as well it's uh Fifth Avenue it's very famous for Playa Del Carmen it's a pedestrian Avenue that runs through the city just a few steps from the beach um from there you can find restaurants bars boutiques art galleries and so forth I've arrived at the beach well we live in Florida there are beaches everywhere but it's so beautiful here in Playa del Carmen friends this beautiful sculpture that you're looking at is named is called Portal Maya I will tell you much more about it a little bit later but now we met some friends say hi I just met some nice people here at Playa Del Carmen where are you guys from?California, Los Angeles oh nice, did you fly here yeah. straight to Cancun? then drove to Playa. Nice to meet you. Enjoying yourselves? Yeah! hola amigos hello again um I wanted to continue the um the little history on Portal Maya the nice sculpture that you saw on the beach um it is a um tribute to the Mayan communities and it's so it's so beautiful everything on the sculpture represents um something I don't want to take too long but if you want to read more about it the name is Portal Maya in Playa del Carmen I I just met two beautiful ladies at Playa del Carmen yeah where you ladies from? NY, wow live here yeah yeah what are you visiting her oh one time she's moving too I know right how long have you been here I've been here for a year and a half well you like it I love it it's so nice oh so you you have like a vacation place everybody wants to come yeah sounds like a revolving door it's so cheap in comparison to New York yeah wow we met a lot of people in the plane uh coming from New York yeah to visit Florida we are Haitian we're Haitian Americans but we live in Florida West Palm Beach yeah yeah it's nice to meet you ladies enjoy! I think I like Playa del carmen better than FL there's a huge black community here wow really, girl! If you Google black people playa del carmen, you see a bunch of Articles okay okay nice maybe we need to talk about it we I think retirement would be beautiful here yeah I know thank you ladies so this is Fifth Avenue that I mentioned earlier Fifth Avenue in Playa del Carmen is a five mile long pedestrian only walkway dedicated to catering to all your touristic needs so it's a must absolute must during your next visit here what a lively and beautiful place! All sorts of people, family, couples when you come here, try to find a place walking distance to the beach and 5th avenue you will enjoy it, since you won't need a car, the beach, food, shopping, it's all here. so if you can find a place that is affordable, in the area, it will be good we will try to do the same next time we're back here. We really like it here. we have one big regret about Playa Del Carmen is that coming here for a day trip is not enough um we want to come back and spend at least three nights at Playa Del Carmen truly um Playa Del Carmen has made a wonderful first impression on us we love it here, must come back
