It's a scary bridge. I think we will be able to cross it. I am scared. God forbid, what if the tire slips from here? What to do? We can go if we want to. But there is no one with us who can help us.
Honestly, this seems dangerous. Our breakfast is here. We have porridge for breakfast.
Some fruits. And salad. And tea.
This is compulsory. Normally I prefer to have coffee in the morning. But tea is also good.
And a cup cake. Let's have our breakfast and get ready. Assalam-O-Alaikum Everyone and welcome back to the channel from Issyk-Kul Lake. The biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan.
We spent last night here. You can see the Kyrgyz Yurt behind me, I stayed here. We had a good night's sleep. It was raining yesterday. The sky is clear today.
It's hot and sunny. We are ready to leave and explore the next destination. I am planning to stay in Kyrgyzstan today and explore some areas.
Tomorrow we will cross the border and go to Kazakhstan. There are a lot of areas to explore here. It's close to the border of China and Kazakhstan. You need a permit to go to those areas, especially China. I didn't apply for the permit as it takes 10 days to get it.
I am planning to go to a few mountain passes. I can't go close to the border. But I will explore the rest of the areas. There is a national park here called Altyn-Arashan.
We will explore that. I am not sure where we will stay for the night. There is a town called Karakol down there. or somewhere in the national park.
We will cross the border in the morning. (Prayer for journey) May we have a blessed and safe day ahead. Look at the beautiful lake on this side. And the mountains behind. I think we will leave from here. Since the lake is so big.
People come here for beach holidays. There are beautiful sandy beaches in some sections. We have paid 3500 Som for a night stay.
I think it's around 40 to 42 dollars. There are a lot of Russian tourists here. There is a small beach next to the lake.
Most of the tourist facilities are either in yurt camps or small cabins. I have seen these cabins here only. I really like their yurt camps.
It's a very comfortable stay. And nature is not disturbed. Since we have been riding along the lake, I have noticed that the population here is more than other areas. Maybe that's because the weather here is much better than the areas we have visited. The weather is extreme. Even in the summer, it's very cold there.
There is a lake, fresh water, mountains, and a lot of agricultural land. I think it's an ideal condition. That's why we are able to find a town or a small town within a 5 to 7 km radius.
Look at the beautiful color of the lake. The river water is falling from behind. The lake looks beautiful. Let's sit outside.
Finally, we have found a very nice cappuccino here. We desperately need it. We have covered approximately 140 km. I didn't realize the distance in the morning at the map. I just assumed that it's very close. I thought we'd be able to do it easily and then leave for the national park.
That was a misunderstanding. But the journey was good. I was a little tired because of the road. Karakol is the largest city here. The road to the national park is right next to Karakol.
So, I decided to take rest here. I have also ordered lunch because I am hungry. Let's eat and leave. I don't know if we will get it on the way.
We have ordered a burger. It will be here shortly. Let's enjoy our cappuccino and rest for a while. Let's plan for the next trip. Let's see how far we will travel to reach the national park.
I miss tasty cappuccino. It's amazing. Here is our burger. I think this is the first burger of this tour. We are having such food after so long.
We also have some fries and water. Let's eat before the burger gets cold. Look at the happy face.
We are ready to reach the national park. I think this is the road. We have refueled from here.
We don't want any issues on the way. I have just marked a point in the map. So that we can reach there and see how far we can go. Hopefully, it will be a good area. I have heard a lot about it, especially locals.
Since we have to come back this way, normally, bike travelers, jeeps or people who are overlanding, avoid this route. They take this route and start from here and go somewhere else. Or they take a round. They don't want to get back through the same route.
But we have to go to Kazakhstan, so we will have to come back through this route. It looks like the entrance of National Park, so we will have to pay here as well. Assalam-O-Alaikum How are you? Yes. One person Pakistan Yes. How much? 300? Yes.
Maybe okay. Thank you. He gave me an advertisement. We have paid almost $4 here. Let's keep it.
Let's go. Let's go Rangeeli. We have entered Altyn-Arashan National Park. The area at the beginning is crowded.
I think this is almost a village. I think there will be more villages like this in the future. I was wondering if this is a National Park, so maybe there are no villages inside. These small tracks along the river are very beautiful. I personally love to ride along the river.
There is greenery on one side and water on the other. There are yurt camps here. He is going on the other side. What is this? Let's have a look.
There is a bridge on this side. This is the end of the road on this side. Wow. It's a scary bridge. I think we will be able to cross it.
I am scared. God forbid, what if the tire slips from here. Oh God! What should I do? We can go. But there is no one to help me. Honestly, I think this is dangerous. There is a bridge over there.
Use your brain, Abrar. Let me check from there. That's the one.
If I had to go this way, I was done. He is going straight. Let's go Rangeeli. Let me check the map. We have to cross the bridge on the other side. But I think the cars are not going ahead.
People have parked their cars here. Let me check before crossing the bridge. Yes, we can go from here. Let me check from the other side. How is it.
Okay. I do not know. This bridge is giving me a weird feeling. We have to go up from here. So I can't take this route.
I have no idea from here. If you come a little slow but you might miss the step here. The bike may fall down. So we have to go from here.
I am scared. Let me think. This bridge is making me anxious. 90% I don't think it's an issue.
I can easily go from here. But there is a 10% chance that if I make even a small mistake, the bike will fall from this much height. It will definitely cause damage. And our tour can end here. So I have decided that it's a calculated risk. But I won't take it.
There is a beautiful place here. Let's sit by the river and enjoy. There will be the same river ahead. We will take some drone shots from here. But I don't want to commit this mistake alone.
If someone else was there, he would have held the bike and stood on the side. In case the bike was about to fall, someone would have helped. I have also read people's comments on the iOverlander app. It says to be careful. I think it's better to be safe.
It's better that I sit here and find a grassy field and sit and enjoy this place. Look at this side. They have used wooden boards.
I think there is no issue in getting down. I can use this middle ramp to get down. But when I come back, it's possible that my tire doesn't fit the ramp. This gap here. This one. My foot won't touch here.
And I will fall down. I don't want to use that for coming back. As I can't apply brakes.
I might fall. It's the same situation here. The bike can fall from such a height.
So I will fall near the trees. It's better to save Rangeeli from falling. There are many beautiful places around. Let's explore them.
It's time to go back. We had a good time here. But since we have to find a guest house, it's better to leave timely.
It's going to be a 20-25 minute ride. We will take the same route for going back. It's a little disappointing as this is the first National Park where we have paid the entry fee. Despite that, the bridge has not been repaired. This bridge has been broken for quite some time.
A lot of people have written about it on the iOverlander app. If the entry fees is not there, as in other National Parks, then it's okay. But since people are paying here, at least it should be maintained. But anyway, what can we do. The park is almost empty. I have booked a room here.
Using the internet. I have booked it on Booking.com because here are a lot of options. So instead of going and finding out if there is a place available or not, it's better to book online. You can say that this is a relatively bigger town.
I haven't seen such a hustle bustle in any other small town after Osh. Let's see where is the guest house. Guest house Aleem.
This is our room. It's very clean, spacious and simple. There is a window on this side with a beautiful view of the city and mountains. There is no attached washroom here. But there are only 2 or 3 rooms here.
There are guests in one room. So there is a shared washroom with them. It's very clean. I just had a bath.
I have paid $25. Which is quite reasonable. Because all the rooms I was getting in the city are private rooms.
You will get hostel type rooms for $8 or $10. But you will get it for $20 to $40. There is main street next to it. I chose it so that cafes, restaurants and other places should be at walking distance. Let's go and explore the city. There is a very historical mosque here.
We are going there. The most historical building of Karakol is Dungan Mosque. It was built in 1912.
It has a very different and unique architecture. You can see that in this region, Central Asia or around it. I have shown you many mosques. I am not sure if I have shown you even one such architectural mosque.
It is built in Chinese style. It's a wooden mosque. Not a single nail was used. It has a very beautiful wooden minaret. You can hear the Azan from here. And there is a spacious hall.
And inside the hall, Yes He is asking if we can pray inside. I said yes, of course. It's a functioning mosque. It has a beautiful hall. It is a very quiet and peaceful area. If you look outside, there is a big patio with different fruits and trees.
There is greenery all around. Personally, I am very impressed by this mosque. The woodwork is very beautiful. On the sides and roof, it's very colorful. Different colors are used.
I forgot to tell you one thing. 90% of the population of Kyrgyzstan is Muslim. 7% Christianity and 3% other religions.
So it is very easy here if you are a Muslim. In some places, there are food issues. But not here.
That's why it was very easy for me to travel here. And even now, we have a delicious pizza. I ordered a small size pizza. But it is quite big. So we might eat half of it.
and pack the rest to eat later at night. I also ordered something to drink. It has chicken, mushrooms and a few other things. It looks delicious. It was very crowded here. I hope it will taste good.
It was a good day. We had a burger for lunch and pizza for dinner. Amazing! This pizza costs around 5 Euros. The drink was 1 liter. I think it costs around 2.5 to 3 dollars.
So, the prices are quite reasonable. Overall, food, it was value for money, wherever I have stayed, whatever I have eaten, I think it will be our 8th or 10th day in Kyrgyzstan. Today is our last day here. If all goes well, we will cross the border tomorrow and go to Kazakhstan.
Overall, I had a great time here. I tried to show you the nature and culture of Kyrgyzstan to some extent. I hope I will be successful. If you liked today's vlog, don't forget to like, subscribe and hit the share button. I will see you in the vlog.
Bye.
