Mexico City Livestream Tour ️ (this city has really impressed me)
hello everybody how is it going let me know if you can see me okay if you can hear me okay because i am worried about the signal strength now here in the park everything was fine when i arrived here and now i've kind of been getting it in and out so please let me know if uh everything's okay on your end if you can see me already if you can hear me all right if there's any kind of legs and just before we get started want to say a big thank you to jim ross and then also jim harriet and yuki for the super chat donations thank you so much voices out of sync charlie says is that happening for anybody else vanessa says it's fine low resolution okay shoot why does this happen um okay i wonder if i start moving maybe things will get better just keep me updated guys um i am in the downtown part of the city so to say i am in chapal tupec park which is actually one of the largest parks in all of the americas it's actually twice the size of central park which is already huge so i thought i would start my live stream here oh no david says yes the voice and sound are not in sync okay well i'm just going to show you guys a little bit around here and then we'll head towards exiting the park but technically i had a lot i wanted to show you in the park so i hope that it will get better before then so this is the famous c dmx sign sui daddy mexico the city of walt mexico city as we know it steven says it's a bit shaky that's odd shouldn't be shaky huh okay well you guys keep me updated because yeah unfortunately i was in here before and everything was fine like i usually try and test my live streams and the path that i'll be going on before it happens but it can also just be you know what's going on with the signals inside the actual city so sometimes it's just bad luck if we unfortunately don't have a strong connection for a period of time all right guys well let me move away from this lake part and hopefully it will get better but let me know in the comments guys it's been a couple weeks now since my last live stream in south paulo so let me know how you guys have been doing what's all going on where are you and what time is it there it is about 12 o'clock here in mexico city and as you guys know um i had to reschedule it for an hour later than plan because i had some unexpected work stuff come up that i had to deal with so i apologize for anybody who was expecting it at that time but that's just how things go sometimes oh we've got geraldo from the south of brazil very cool we got vanessa from belleville ontario david from port townstead you guys will probably see that here in mexico city well obviously i'm not sure what they're saying but oh my god it's like always yelling you know about something i assume here they're selling something but near my apartment in the historic district i swear there's always a guy and i think it's the same one because it's like the same voice every morning at like seven or eight a.m he is like screaming from the streets like right under my apartment and i don't know why so i guess every country has you know its own kind of things that are normal um is the connection getting better guys i hope it is see on my end it looks fine like usually if it was a super shaky connection my screen would be going black um so on my end it looks okay but for you guys i don't know obviously anthony hello to phil from cornwall uk okay it's getting much better okay i'm glad yeah maybe you know just some spots just don't seem to have a good connection oh so nice to see christopher santiago here from mexico hope you're doing good christopher um so guys mexico city just got here how long has it been now about a week a little bit longer than a week and i'm technically leaving in how many days three days so it has been an incredible time i have sorry one sec i wanted to take you guys to the botanical gardens and i just want to make sure i don't miss my exit what was i saying yeah so i have been having a really good time in this city there's definitely no similarities between here and you know the major cities that i went to uh in colombia and brazil but at the same time it really does you know have its own thing going on one sec guys very loud this morning so uh yeah it definitely has it's you know culture and energy and it's also very interesting because for sure for sure there is an influence and influence from uh usa obviously being neighbors you know canada and usa also influence each other both ways as well so to my surprise it was very nice to be able to go to like so many places that i would find in the usa like let's say shake shack i ordered on ropi from them a few days ago and really enjoyed that can't remember the last time i had a shake shack burger so guys this is where we are going to turn off to the botanical gardens which are over here how is this exit um and somebody said i'm out of breath i'm out of breath because first of all i haven't been feeling great unfortunately whatever i had in florianopolis you know i don't know i still don't feel fantastic but i am better and then also mexico city is actually at 2 000 meters of elevation so that's why and i'm speed walking at this time so that's why i'm out of breath let's see here um okay so let me give you first impressions of mexico city so the area that i am staying in is the historical district the most popular you know area to visit for tourists because there are so many like beautiful buildings there the metropolitan cathedral the zocalo like all the main attractions of the city are kind of in that area but the thing is most tourists actually from what i've read don't really stay in that area and especially any expats expats who actually live in mexico city usually don't live in that area they usually live in roma norte juarez la candela what's the one with the p polenko or polenko something like something like that with the p right so i stayed in the historical district knowing that okay you know i got to be extra careful compared to those other areas and i also shouldn't really be walking around at night in that area i'll take ubers everywhere but it has been great because my apartment is just spectacular there and if you guys follow me on instagram you will already have seen it but it'll be in like future videos obviously so i am loving it just have to be a bit more careful but it is very nice uh polanco thank you steve g and mario um okay since i want to show you guys this beautiful park let me just give you a view while i read your comments this is the botanical gardens that they have here in the park and what's nice about this park is that you can really do so much just in this one area uh not only is there a castle a spectacular castle chipotle peck castle is what it's called that i went to a few days ago it has a historical museum in there there's a modern art museum here i believe there's one other museum and what's crazy is they say that mexico city if i remember the statistic correctly has the second largest amount of museums in the world second after london it has like 150 or something like that and those are just recognized ones apparently there's others that are like unrecognized and then it's like 186 or something so it's crazy yes this is a mosquito what a strange sculpture but in a way super cool so uh yeah if you guys come here this is a beautiful park to uh visit i find it to be overall safe from the visits that i have done hoping it will be today as well there's some cute cactuses let's actually go this way ananias asks is there acai in mexico um i don't know i think probably in like specialty stores maybe i think it would be similar to like usa and canada when it comes to acai where it's like you know a specialty health food sort of thing and probably costs a lot of money because it's definitely not the same as like brazil where they just sell it on the street for like a dollar it's definitely not as easily accessible here from what i have seen just the same way that here in mexico you can obviously get avocados for super cheap and in brazil not only were they like hard to find but extremely expensive so even though the countries aren't particularly far away i think certain things still are more accessible than others so no unfortunately not a lot of us i.e here in mexico from what i've seen um raymundo says i thought you were still in sao paulo yeah i think some people who maybe don't you know know a lot about how youtube you know kind of works how long it takes to put out a video usually when i post a video i'm already like long gone from that area the rare time if i'm spending a long time there maybe that wouldn't be the case but usually i have to plan my content far in advance and also just to edit everything and to kind of have a sort of set schedule usually my videos are about two to three weeks behind in general so i still actually have two videos left of sao paulo so there will be that look at this beautiful ball i don't know what kind of plant that is very unique just reading your messages here guys oh somebody mentioned that there's a botanical garden in medellin or medellin i should say i don't think i actually went there strangely enough i went to the beautiful botanical gardens in rio which i highly recommend oh my god those far exceeded my expectations but i think i just ran out of time in medellin and didn't didn't get to see the botanical gardens there so maybe another time oh i want to say a big thank you to louise thank you so much hello elena i hope you enjoy mexico i absolutely will thank you yeah i uh sadly won't be spending as long as i usually spend let me show you these cactuses as i tell you the story i won't be spending as long in mexico as i did in colombia and brazil i actually was planning to go back to canada right after brazil initially but i found a really inexpensive ticket from sao paulo to mexico city about 300 canadian dollars with a checked bag that is that is pretty low with coppa airlines so i thought well you know i've really one of the few canadians i think who hasn't been to mexico i've heard great things this is an opportunity to go check it out and may is actually still a fairly nice time uh weather-wise throughout the country like it depends on the area because it is a big country it will range but i think with the places that i will be going like in the yucatan i think the weather should still be pretty good in may it's more june july august when they start getting more rain i believe so i'll only be spending about a month here but i'll get to see about i think five different places yeah and even with that that's moving quite quickly so i'd love to come back for you know two three months at least canadians can stay here for up to six months every time so could definitely be a part-time nomad here in mexico no problem isn't this gorgeous absolutely gorgeous so yeah guys i just wanted to give you a little walk in the botanical gardens here i thought this was a nice place to go to or let's let's pop over in there i don't think i've actually been in there before and then we will be going out of the park and i'm going to take you to one of my favorite areas uh here in the city called reforma avenue so uh i'd like to take a walk down there as well ah i want to say a very big thank you to my friend michael and michael i saw your paypal as well so thank you so much for that you are so kind a little something to go with what i sent in paypal to you earlier today have a snack on us great views here love the area thank you so much michael and i hope you and alona are doing good staying safe and uh yeah i will definitely have something tasty for lunch today because here in mexico city my god the restaurant selection is fantastic like every single street corner there's so many different places the quality of the food is really good so this is definitely a foodie paradise oh i want to say another big thank you to louise thank you do you pretend to visit museum of uh pre-columbian in mexico city i don't know that museum uh maybe if somebody could send me a link to that one as well i'll try and check it out i have gone to quite a few different museums here i went to the historic one in the castle i went to the i can't remember the name once in polenko why can't i think of the of the area with the p again polanco right polanco the two famous museums that are there um and then i was uh gonna go to a couple others but there's just so many like it's it's crazy so i'll try and find the one you're talking about but i don't know off the top of my head which one you mean but thank you so much for the super chat and a big thank you to sfc paul thank you so much for the kind super chat hope you are doing great and thank you for coming out as always really appreciate you guys that come to basically every single one uh let me flip the camera here guys we've got a nice little walkway we've got some banana trees look at this how nice lovely i feel like it was in colombia where i saw the most banana trees of my life they were very tall these guys look like baby banana trees oh oscar says that that's the museum of anthropology and history is that the one that louise was referring to or is that just a suggestion because yes there is the anthropology museum here in the park that's the one that i was forgetting all right so let's head back out maybe i can even give you guys a glimpse of the castle you do have to walk up a really long hill to actually get to the top and i mean you have to pay at that point as well okay thanks again louise i'll uh i'll keep it in mind maybe i could do that today but i really only have three days left and i still have a lot of work on my plate editing wise so we'll see how much time i have because as i mentioned in my last video guys like i'd love to take everybody's suggestions of you know things to see and do but i think people overestimate just how much time i actually have to explore you know it's like half of my week at least probably even closer to like 60 70 percent is literally just computer work and just like behind the scenes stuff and regular life kind of stuff so even though it feels like i'm in a place for a month or two it's not the same as coming here as a tourist you know and just you know seeing things even just shooting a place takes so much longer than uh just visiting it as a tourist so when you add editing and all that kind of stuff like i really don't usually have crazy amounts of time in places when i also have to work on the back end at the same time but i appreciate your suggestions i keep them coming i'm just saying please don't you know be offended if i can't use them all because that's just the way it currently is right now if i had somebody doing all my editing if i had somebody doing all my back and stuff then it'd be a bit different but you know right now i'm basically doing everything myself see here let me flip the camera as i'm reading here ah i'm so glad anthony you helped me with my travels to columbia thank you i will definitely be visiting mexico city for my next trip out of the us greetings and thanks from orange county california thank you so much anthony and i'm glad that's kind of one of my main goals with my channel is to not only make people aware of maybe certain places that they've never really heard anything about but to also give helpful suggestions and kind of show you know what there is to do in different places and how to make it happen so if you actually want to go there then you already have some knowledge about it people biking it's actually a very active city to be honest mexico city and there's a lot of there's a lot of bike lanes i was going to say even on the main street that will be going down on reforma there's bike lanes and i love that that kind of reminds me of toronto where i'd love to just get around the city by biking feel the wind whip through my hair get some exercise not have to spend any extra money on transportation but of course nowhere comes close to amsterdam as far as bike culture that's for sure oh thank you once again to luis for the super chat and yeah i'll keep i'll keep the museum in mind thank you so let's walk no idea what he's selling anybody want to tell me in the comments and actually we've got almost 200 people here in the live stream who has all been to mexico city and if anyone who is actually from here i'd actually really like to know because i know a lot of north americans have been to mexico but i feel like most people just go to the beach sort of destinations like you know cancun tulum all of those kinds of places but mexico city even though it's big and obviously popular with tourists to a certain extent i just feel like not as many people go as to a place like cancun let's say oh i want to say a big thank you to tom for the super chat thank you so much hope you're having a great day appreciate the support wonder landscape says i was born there but i left when i was six nice so you have some memories there la lorana says i spent four months there last year very cool all right let me flip here guys once again i'm this close to the camera because it's so bright out that it's hard for me to see my screen so i have to be super close to be able to read any of the comments yes oscar you are correct you are getting closer to the monument dedicated to the heroic kids oh i had looked up the name before i started the live stream what it is in spanish i mean but yes this is a monument to six basically teenagers it said from 13 to 18 these brave kids basically sacrificed their lives in the american and spanish war and this monument was made and dedication to them once we get to the front you'll see it it's super beautiful and uh that is the modern art museum but to be honest it kind of looks closed the last time i was here as well it had the gates closed so maybe that's under restoration or something ananias asks is mexico city as big as sao paulo it's close sao paulo is slightly bigger south follows what 24 million people in the metro area of course and mexico city is 22. so it's very close both are very big cities so here we are guys it says ah there we go alastair defensores de la patria sound very sad oh i want to say a very big thank you to katsu as always thank you for coming out hi alina thank you for sharing planned world in mexico enjoy fantasy features thank you katsu glad you enjoyed it i'm definitely going to be sharing more beautiful nature here in mexico because the next places that i'm going well are still i guess you know fairly large but nothing like mexico city but i definitely plan on doing like day trips to different ruins like chichen itza obviously and uh around tulum i think there's some interesting ruins so uh stay tuned for amazing history and incredible nature and thank you once again to louise uh did you find something similar between mexico city and sao paulo that's a good question um what would be well i mean yeah both are like enormous cities both are the financial centers the economic hubs of the country if you will both have very good public transportation i've actually been taking the mexico city metro almost every single day because as i said i'm in the historical center so for me to get even to this park here or polanco it takes like at least 30 minutes 30 minutes to an hour depending on how far i go and it costs five mexican pesos which is about gosh 25 american cents like cheaper than sao paulo and cheaper than any um large metro system that i remember riding and i don't know how many years like ukraine's metro used to be that cheap and now i think it's like 50 cents or 75 cents if you convert it but here is just five pesos as far as you want to go so incredibly inexpensive and honestly i would say overall safe especially strangely strangely enough if you are a woman because there are women and children only carts you know no men are allowed into those wagons so i've actually just been staying in those and have found it to be really good so if you go during rush hour it does get a little bit crazy but other than that i think it's actually a really good system so those are some similarities that i would say um let me one second here guys i wanted to give you a view of the castle if you get kind of far enough away you can kind of see the tip of it can you guys see it see just over the statue just behind the trees that's the castle and you get an amazing view of the city from there they have like a beautiful balcony and entry to the castle is only 80 pesos which i think is about three dollars so a hundred percent worth it definitely something i'd recommend you guys do if you come to mexico city oh got some super chats here wanna say a very big thank you to robert lear hello elena from pennsylvania mexico city is very beautiful another great choice of yours to visit the city have a great day thank you so much robert and i agree i'm i'm very glad i came here and think this will blend well into i guess the sort of series that i've been doing for the last six months i do wish that i had more time here in mexico to actually explore the country in a larger way but i think being so close to canada it's super easy and usually quite inexpensive so i will definitely be back so thank you so much robert ah thank you all decades playlists your video inspired me to visit cartagena last week that is fantastic i'm very glad and see guys i'm saying it correctly now cartagena right not cartagena as i unfortunately was calling it in the video so i'm very glad that you went um no mark thankfully no earthquake rubbles that i've felt while i've been here but yes that is something you got to be careful of here in mexico city and i think other parts of mexico as well is they can get earthquakes so you kind of got to know you know what to do if that happens hopefully it won't or just be really small ones um all right guys let me flip here i'll give you one more view of the beautiful statue and castle here in the park and then we are going to head on out this way to like i said one of my favorite areas in mexico city which is reforma avenue it's kind of the main downtown segment of the city lots of the big fancy hotels like the ritz carlton just in front of us is here all the big banks lots of great restaurants and it's just a really beautiful area as well like as the first time i got here i was like wow this is really well taken care of this is really nice oh thank you so much once again to louise i want to give alina a big thank you for showing my country brazil in so wonderful and honest way my pleasure thank you so much louise i'll definitely be back to brazil at some point because of course i did mainly just the south this trip and that's because brazil is just such a big country and at the time like plane tickets were very expensive uh domestically like i spent much more than i was expecting uh just on plane tickets domestically so i'd love to go back and you know book my domestic tickets ahead of time and see more of the north because as many people told me in the comments the north has the most beautiful places so i guess i'll make my own opinion when i go there oh previous to my mom thank you so much for coming out now i'll try and not get sun stroke it is hot like i can feel my mouth is super dry from talking and being in like plus 30 heat so it's not going to be a super long uh live stream today we're what 35 minutes in and i think to get to the angel of independence another 20 minutes and stuff so it's gonna only be about an hour live stream and after that i will definitely go get a drink and not be in the blazing hot sun but thank you for coming out yes mark margarita time would be very nice um oh hello to vita as well my mom's friend hope you're doing well oh yeah i actually didn't realize how hot and thirsty i was until my mom mentioned it you know how sometimes you're just you know so lost in what you're doing and then suddenly you're like oh i'm really tired or oh you know like i really need to eat something well i'm really thirsty suddenly but it's hard to kind of do anything while i'm live streaming i kind of need both hands so i will wait until i'm done so yeah as i was saying about reforma avenue i love like the architecture here like i like big cities a lot i really like skyscrapers when it's super modern super clean just like really interesting designs like i guess my fascination kind of started in tokyo you know being there for so long and seeing so many amazing buildings there oh my god can i not and exit here i was gonna exit in the big oh okay out this way so yes that is a grasshopper but if you are wondering usually you can exit through these gates but i guess not today go out this way today and yes robert i did celebrate cinco de mayo in uh mexico which is super cool and i didn't realize it until it was like mid-afternoon on the day like somebody messaged me about it and i was like oh yeah it is it's cinco de mayo i'm in mexico so of course i had to go get some amazing tacos for lunch as a mini celebration but but as many of you probably know like cinco de mayo is actually a much bigger party so to say in the usa than it is here in mexico like what cinco de mayo is from my understanding is uh just the anniversary of mexico's victory over the french i believe of like a battle that they had so i think it is like a sort of holiday here but you know people aren't going around drinking 20 margaritas and like you know i don't know like wearing all kinds of crazy clothes and eating all the tacos or something like that's a very american thing i think which is great because you know in a way it's still appreciating mexican culture it's just odd that americans are more excited about it than i think actual mexicans are so i was here for cinco de mayo ah yes oscar you are correct that building is called the light tail estella de luz this very tall building can i even reach it with my gimbal yeah that is tall so am i remembering correctly that this is also a sort of monument about the independence of mexico similar to the angel of independence in the disc in in the distance there any locals please let me know i had briefly looked for meanings on my google maps about all of these places as we walked by today that's kind of what i remember from that one all right guys my phone's unfortunately getting a little bit hot i think it's from the heat and being in the sun all right those are the very common pink cdmx taxis that you'll see all over the city and while i think most of the time it probably would be fine to take those i have heard that it's far safer to use uber here in mexico city as with most places i think i haven't heard of any cities where it's better to take official taxis instead of uber because with uber it's you know an actually tracked sort of trip and the driver should be verified but i guess maybe there are some places where uber isn't the best but here in mexico city it has been great haven't had any issues and they also have these sort of like you know double-decker tour buses as well here one sec guys thank you once again to louise um lena in your travels did you learn some spanish or portuguese i learned more spanish than uh portuguese but you know if i'm being honest like ever since the war started in ukraine and just with some other things that i had happened personally i just haven't been devoting as much time to it as i would have liked and i think it probably would have been better you know if i was actually so specific on learning let's say just spanish that i probably should have gone to you know a spanish-speaking country after colombia to just have that extra time it was kind of difficult to go from you know spanish to portuguese and then spanish again but i do know a little bit so i definitely would like to learn more let's see all right guys so i'm just gonna walk a little bit ahead here one sec guys i'm just trying to troubleshoot one thing bear with me but take taken this beautiful view as i was saying before this is the reforma avenue which you will find many big businesses there's like the mac store over there there's hsbc there's krispy kreme donuts there's all the american big brand names that we all know and love i don't know what these guys are doing oh they took down that statue i remember that huh interesting cassius sorry lady i would have no idea what you're saying oh fun thing that will actually be happening tomorrow here is that on sundays similar to boat in both the columbia and brazil they close down the main avenue here as well and make it a pedestrian street so tomorrow it will probably be even busier and uh people will be relaxing and socializing there but uh tomorrow i'm supposed to go on a boat ride but yeah to be honest as i said in the beginning of the stream i haven't been feeling great that's honestly why i was even thinking of cancelling today's live stream because i don't know my stomach hasn't been great and i've just been feeling really tired and just not my usual self so i don't know what i'm doing tomorrow but i figured that if this live stream was only about an hour and i'm gonna go rest afterwards that i should be able to do it so yeah that's how it goes sometimes it's a really gorgeous fountain that's coming up here but i'll show you guys in a minute uh and nias asks after traveling latin america is it what you expected or did you have a different idea that's a good question um probably both you know to be honest um definitely some things you know were as i expected where i was expecting to be you know impressed and surprised with just how beautiful you know some of the places here are many places even exceeded you know my expectations um and at the same time you know i was expecting that it would be well let's just say more dangerous and that i'd have to take more precautions than i would you know in eastern europe like literally i most of my eastern european travels i don't even like prep that much i just show up and figure things out as i go and you know walk all hours of the night everywhere and not care about my cell phone or whatever and of course stuff could still happen in eastern europe but it's just far more rare you know from all the time from all the years that i have spent there and from everybody that i have talked to as well who has been there but here in latin america like unfortunately even though there are many places that are safe there's many that you do have to take significant you know safety precautions and especially in my case when i kind of have to have you know all of my gear out you know i can't really uh not give papaya so to say of like never have my phone out never have my camera out like that's that's how i make my videos so i also can't afford to like i don't know hire a bodyguard or something like that or um constantly be with someone you know everywhere i go i much prefer to be independent in my travel so i've just tried to be you know as safe as i can and obviously some [ __ ] has went down but at the same time you know most of the time has been fine it's like one really bad incident and maybe a handful of like sketchy situations but most of the time it has been fine and i think you know if you didn't have your camera out if you didn't have your phone out the chances of something bad happening to you would be significantly reduced so you know keep that in mind if you're coming to these countries and you're okay with you know keeping all your valuables totally locked away and you research which areas are good which ones are not you'll probably you know be absolutely fine oh i see a super chat from rahul one sec oh my god there's a guy with a shotgun right there jesus christ see okay that that you will never see in north america you will never see a hotel guard with a huge shotgun oh my god um okay rahul thank you so much thank you for the wonderful live stream from mexico city definitely on my bucket list take care and have a wonderful mother's day weekend thank you so much rahul hope you and your mom are doing well and i hope my mom is doing well because obviously i will be wishing her a happy mother's day on the actual day um thank you again to louise alina any issue at the altitude of mexico city yeah i mean it's not bad it's uh it's it's noticeable but it's not bad i would say not not as much as bogota i forget how many thousand meters bogota was four or five thousand was it that much i felt it there climbing hills in bogota very difficult laga says but regular people have guns in the u.s yes they do whenever anybody says oh but the u.s
has crime like there's dangerous cities in the u.s i'm like yeah yeah the us can be a very unsafe place like that's not a comparison i'm sorry like canada i would say on a whole you know for big cities i lived seven years in toronto walked all hours of the night all you know crazy places i'm sure there's some like districts that it would be better not to go to i'm just gonna cross the street here um but on a whole like shady [ __ ] like rarely happens you know in the population sort of way if that makes sense sorry guys i'm just trying to figure stuff out so please don't ever like give the us as a comparison of a safe you know city there are safe places in the states but there's also some very dangerous places in the states that i would be like scared to go to so not not the right example matthew says would you be afraid of walking in north battle for saskatchewan no you know i think north battleford would be uh not too bad i know that they say that that is like our most dangerous place in saskatchewan and i've been there you know multiple times i think unless you were there at night or something probably going to be fine um which way do i want to go i think this way sorry guys i'm just trying to figure [ __ ] out i'm going all over the place let me flip the camera so you can see what's happening here's the beautiful fountain there is the saint regis oh i gotta go just want to see one thing here well actually no okay sorry guys i'm gonna go this way oh i want to say a big thank you to martin v as always for coming out thank you so much great effort live streaming in this heat enjoy mexico thank you so much martin hope you're doing great and yeah oh i think i'm almost getting like a little bit dizzy unfortunately with the heat but we're almost there we're almost there to the grand the grand uh what's the word yeah no guys i'm sorry i'm not like i'm not in my right mind today i can't think of simple words um crescendo climax no there's another word like the pinnacle i don't know anyways the grand thing that i wanted to show you at the end of the tour we're almost there is what i want to say all right let me flip beautiful baskets sorry guys i'm just uh troubleshooting one thing so please enjoy the view while i figure it out initially i had a tnt but uh the what do you call it yeah the sim card that they gave me um had some kind of defect i think where i started i don't know like it just wasn't um oh i'm sorry guys i'm really one sec [ __ ] sakes okay sorry about that um fortunately tripping over my feet here um yeah some there was some kind of defect with the sim card so i went with the one that starts with the t and because my mind is not working right now i can't think of the name what is the name of the big uh phone company here guys that starts with a t why can't i think of it just reading your comments here grand finale thank you thank you david that's the one that's what i was trying to say but couldn't oh what do we have here this is cool i don't know what this means the wings of mexico became a contemporary art symbol of our country since the mexican people have converted it into an icon interesting hmm got the hsbc building right up there know what they're selling here oh and we got a fruit cellar over here that's one thing i missed about colombia is in colombia they would always have like cut up fresh fruit everywhere you went and it's like a dollar or two and it was so good and for some reason in brazil that just wasn't as common so i have missed being able to have that and here in mexico that seems like that's a thing they do here as well oh did i miss a super chat thank you so much to robert lear i appreciate it very cute telecell thank you jm you guys are speaking for me today because lord knows i'm like dizzy dehydrated and a little sick so thank you for bearing with me but we are almost here we are almost at the grand finale as i meant to yeah i say mangoes here too so here we are guys the angel of independence in mexico city now can i remember my dates correctly i believe mexico gained its independence in 1821. correct me if i'm wrong but yes obviously this monument was erected to celebrate that we've got the sheraton we've got hbc as i said and let's let's run across the oh no the bus is coming never mind that i didn't go all right guys in the next couple of minutes i'm going to end the live stream so i'm just going to read your quick comments here paul asks how polluted is the city i mean i'm sure there is some pollution but i wouldn't say that it's super super noticeable you know i don't know maybe if you lived here for a long period of time and then went to you know the mountains in switzerland maybe you'd notice a difference but overall i'd say it's been fine for me i'm gonna try and get across the road here but i know [ __ ] i don't know when these where do these guys oh okay now i can go all right i'm gonna run oh no [ __ ] those are coming [ __ ] dang it i hate roundabouts and there's no light there's no light for pedestrians to cross the street here it's super annoying oh no you cannot drink the tap water here fyi guys all right so give you a little view up here and then we'll end things off and hopefully i don't pass out before then oh rick what's interesting is that they actually have a lot of women in the statues here which is nice to see obviously the angel herself is a female but always nice to see more women honored in history than just men all the time no it's not 1910.
i'm sure that when i googled it it was in the 8 18 something and i'm almost certain it was 1821. that would blow my mind did anybody else answer anyways all right we've got a lion up here we got a little angel child oh when was the statue erected that i don't know that i don't know that could be 1910 for all i know i don't know if we can see a date along this side but isn't this nice guys i really like this area of the city i feel like if you're you know here for the first time in mexico city and you really want to be you know central and have all the amenities around then staying near reforma would definitely be a good idea and there's a really big police presence here like of course you know stuff could happen but overall i do feel safer because there is such a strong police presence in some parts of mexico city so you know that is another reason that most likely people aren't going to try anything ah yes thank you very much to all decades playlists yes consummated september 27th 1821. very nice our 1810 is yeah when they declared it okay all right guys we did it almost didn't do it because even after six months in latin america i'm still not quite used to the heat and basically i have to let go of all the hats that i buy since i don't want to take them as hand luggage on the plane so i need to get a hat here in uh mexico city but i uh probably actually will wait until i get to cancun and then we'll be going to kind of a smaller town to actually go see chichen itza which was honestly like one of the top things that i have on my list here for mexico so stay tuned for that guys i'm gonna have two more videos of uh brazil left and they're both lots of fun i have my main sao paulo video should hopefully be out on monday if i can feel all right to get it edited on this weekend and then i also have the biggest party of the world uh in sao paulo a vlog of that so stay tuned and then uh we're gonna get into the mexico content and i'm also gonna try and vlog i mean not vlog yeah i need to go guys i need to go i can't even think straight um i'm gonna do a live stream from uh somewhere else here in mexico before i leave at the end of the month so stay tuned thank you all so much for coming out i really do enjoy doing these just unfortunately today it's kind of been a hard day so thank you all for coming out and for all of your support like thank you all so much for supporting my channel love you a lot hope you have a great day and keep being your own kind of beautiful bye guys
