Mayfair London Walk - Wander Art Trail | 4K | Apr 2021 | AD
Hello Walkers, we’re in beautiful London on SOUTH AUDLEY STREET in Mayfair It’s 3pm on Monday 12th April 2021 with the temperature around 9°C/48°F We'll be taking a stroll through Mayfair where we'll be exploring the Wander Art trail which I’ve been paid to feature in this walk The trail showcases some of the most exciting and innovative outdoor art installations from a whole host of world-renowned artists with the walk covering 0.9 miles/1.4 km Thomas Goode - an upmarket tableware shop selling china, glass and silverware the business was established in 1827, with the store moving to its current site in 1845 and holds two royal warrants to supply the British royal household one from Queen Elizabeth II and the other from the Prince of Wales The Wander Art trail also continues in Belgravia, which I explore in a separate video! Grosvenor Chapel - 8th-century Anglican chapel Harry’s Bar - luxurious private members’ club attracting rich and famous clientele, serving North Italian cuisine Mayfair Library MOUNT STREET GARDENS Today’s the first day restrictions have eased allowing non-essential shops to reopen as well as pubs, restaurants, cafes and bars with outside seating making Mayfair a great destination to visit! Mayfair is a great location to avoid the crowds and is home to open green spaces, such as this as well as Grosvenor Square and Brown Hart Gardens Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception Gothic Revival-style place of worship, opened in 1849 MOUNT STREET Mayfair is one of London’s vibrant and leading London shopping districts with an array of amazing brands, from wellbeing, lifestyle, fashion, and hospitality including many independent boutiques! ‘Nymph and Pool’ sculpture by Emilio Grecco ‘Silence’ water feature designed by Tadao Ando The Connaught Hotel - 5-star hotel In the heart of Mayfair, Mount Street, Duke Street and North Audley Street are wonderful streets to explore and only a stones throw from the busy West End and Oxford Street! Pragnell - jewellery store Scott’s - seafood restaurant with huge selection of market-fresh fish, seafood and caviar plus an elegant oyster and champagne bar Its facade has to be one of the most beautifully decorated with those striking yellow-flowered trees!
