Laos Is Not For Beginners!
okay so ever since I entered Laos my motorcycle app just stopped working the GPS now I don't know if it was because I submerged into the puddle of mud or if it's just because I entered a new country anyway the app isn't working anymore but yeah that's not the only issue I have now with the bike but uh still we're going down to the border of Thailand it might take me two days let's see okay so this was uh the last ride I'm not sure if I put that in the video in the last one I edited so many videos here uh I I lost control uh yeah of course I enjoy it okay yeah I'll do that later okay so I want to go Vientiane in Laos set destination yeah it's 340 km maybe it's a little bit less yeah 313 okay yeah so I won't make that in one go anyway oh boy they should bring this bike out with a reverse that will be something oh so slippery I can do it I'm not going to drop you again eve yeah as you heard in the last video the motor does really scary noises now not right now I feel like it's only when it's getting warm but the vibrations are gone so I don't know guys I don't know what to think I'll tell you later what I'm going to do about my motor problem but now I'm want to pick up my friends Joel and Erica I'll travel with them together just have to find the hotel now this by the way is a real cool temple they have a massive Buddha statue in there I checked it out the other day but it's a really good city really cool many tourists here now because now the tourist season started they also did just raised my price of the hotel almost double for the last night that I extended uh that was a little bit uh weird good morning ready to go morning they have good coffee here right they have very nice - yeah I think so too I think so too how you doing oh what's going on right you put this in the fridge do you have something what are we celebrating we are celebrating our friendship not opening this one without you loki just mango for you this morning the motor doesn't make that horrible noise I reckon it's only when it's hot but yeah we'll find out today it's going to be 5 hours to the next big town uh it's called ban yang I think uh I I reckon we're only going to get to there today but yeah let's see let's see how it goes oh eve you're so pretty bye all right guys let's do this Laos all right guys yeah that road is a little bit bad it's not as bad as you know the first day but I think that's going to be like this today you can't really hear the sound of the motor right now I'll show you that later but I reached out to the zero customer service and uh just asked them if they still have that shop in jakarta in Indonesia uh and they even have a shop in Singapore apparently a dealer so I could make my way there and uh just hope that the motor lasts until then I wanted to go there anyway so I could literally just do that and just hope everything will be all right the only problem is that I have now I ask how much your motor is how much it's going to set me back and yeah a motor is going to be $3500 plus shipping plus labor so I reckon it's going to set me back about like 4500 and that's the thing now I'm not sure if I want to invest this kind of money in a 5-year-old motorcycle with 70,000 km when I already know that I'm going to get myself a new motorcycle in the states uh so that's the thing and uh yeah of course uh zero has no interest in helping out with that I mean why would they I'm only showing their bike to millions of people every month yeah uh of course there is no interest so I have to think about it oh [ __ ] they reckon what I'm describing is wrong with their motor it never happened to one of those motors well first of all I know that's not true and second there's not so many motors with that kind of mileage and not many bikes that did what I did with the motorcycle so yeah I mean it is kind of an extreme situation obviously uh so yeah that can happen and it happened to the older versions of the motor uh so I have to think about it what I will definitely do is I will ride the motorcycle until complete failure that's for sure there's no point in me stopping the journey earlier as long as the bike rides I realized that I thought about it a lot what I'm going to do because I'm I am going to Bangkok and it would be easy to ship the bike somewhere from Bangkok but I really I really don't want to do this I really want to ride the bike as long as I can that's the goal even though it has to be roads like this it's just how it is oh yeah it's going to be a long long freaking day guys we'll be fine we'll be fine so this clacking sound is gone for some reason now it's just like a grinding noise but only when the motor is hot so that changed that can be a good thing can be a bad thing I don't really know nobody knows but uh we'll find out anyway off the road mate no no you can't just sit there you are a hero - that was a suicide turkey maybe I didn't do him a favor now you can walk again fantastic road ah little piggy you're going to be dead by tonight wow this is cool right I absolutely love it here the the nature is just so different and now the roads are getting also a little bit better it's always like the first I don't know 20 30 km are bad and then it gets so much better range wise we're not doing very good today I don't know what that is all about 170 watt hours a kilometer we went up but we didn't go up super far wow and I love this kind of weather when it's a little bit dark and gloomy and about to rain but not raining that's the best look at that wow it's like riding through the jungle oh god wow check this out okay I was climbing up like 1,000 m just then so okay woo in the clouds oh get cold yeah this climb just really took it out of the battery and is quite steep too but I really hope it goes down at some point I don't know how high the next big town is but I hope I can make it so far it doesn't look so good oi yoi yoi not good there big puddles visibility is like nothing right now I don't see anything oi yoi yoi careful careful careful there's all these potholes and when you don't see them that's a problem big problem Jesus wow that's a lake yeah go here maybe Erica get off wow very bad I don't know it's better here looks better here I don't know which side I think the left I think left side would be better probably oh it's crazy yeah yeah me too wow guys this is tough again now we have the big question marc what what's the big question should we try to fix a car for Erica car - yeah - you think you can't do it I guess it will be fine just a little bit and then yeah problem with this kind of stuff is we just don't know how long it's going to be like that and we can't see anything in the fog and it's really tough 2up on the big bike oh we'll manage oh God Laos every day a surprise - yeah it's tough guys very tough they're having in trouble here rain doesn't help rain doesn't help what are they doing now aye yeh yeh yeh aye no choice guys who have to get through this somehow oh boy you can do it Joel slow and steady slow and steady this is crazy really it's crazy wow I think the bad roads are over now but the rain's not I think we're going to get wet again but it's only 2 hours and then we did it Laos is really challenging I think probably the worst roads Nah Nepal still how much did you put in now 360,000 - yeah oh yeah that's okay it's not too bad for 15 liter 15 liter - but it's a regular so nobody knows what is the - 92 or 89 maybe or 87 - oh that would be - like in Iran - yeah how's the road Joel but but how's your suspension - the suspension - yeah I drive enduro - yeah and in Enduro as I understand uh it is pushing out everything so it's kind of fixed - yeah it works I see it working like it does something - what it's supposed to do a little bit yeah - something yeah it's better actually but this road issomething unbelievable - yeah it's worse than Nepal uh well uh different - different different different worse guys seriously this is no joke these roads well we only have 30 km to go to the town I'll stay there definitely because it's already four another hour to go oh boy oh boy boy every little bit of tarmac is a win yeah but it's always uh just that a just a little bit of tarmac and then mud it's crazy and those truck drivers I reckon they wait on the mountain for like another two days or something it's steep and muddy no good no good but seriously guys the landscape these mountains is so incredible this gives out some serious Jurassic Park vibes man so good also with the weather and all it's actually perfect wow look at that wow so cool welcome to vang vieng guys we did it off to the hotel we did it wow look at the balloons guys now that's cool wow so that means not going to rain anymore today oo more Adventure bikes that's so cool they go somewhere or they go up they go wherever the wind blows look at the view yeah it's nice paraglider the rooms they're really nice here I can charge Eve and we also have the balloons balloons couldn't be better these hungarians excuse me I do apologize it was a long day I can relate I can relate I can relate it was a long day I was so -
