Welcome to L'alya Resort Ninh Van Bay, Vietnam You can skip ahead in the video using chapter markers in the description. Today, you are in for a very special tour at L'alya Resort- one of the most charming resorts I've been to in Vietnam Check in procedures are completed at the mainland lounge before boarding a speed boat for a 20 minute ride across the bay L'alya is one of a few resorts on Ninh Van "Island" It is not actually an island, but the resorts are not accessible by car, so it sure feels like it is In a straight line, L'alya is 16km (10 miles) northeast of Downtown Nha Trang It is located on a private crescent beach with around 1300m (0.8 miles) of coastline The natural features in this area are almost surreal Turquoise waters, rock formations and cliffs, pine tree forests, swaying palm trees, a pristine lagoon... you understand, it's special L'alya Resort has only 33 villas, each has it's own pool and garden That makes this beautiful main pool empty most of the day- but it is a beautiful natural design built into the rocks This is the resort's main restaurant where you'll eat any meals on site During the week breakfast is a la carte- with a full buffet on the weekends Of course there is also in-villa dining which can be ordered through your butler Yes, your butler. Each villa is assigned one and it is no where near as pretentious as it sounds, I assure you This was my villa during my stay, a Lagoon View Pool Villa Now, more about the butler- he or she is there to coordinate anything and everything that you need.

Prior to your arrival L'alya Resort, they send out a questionnaire to tailor your holiday for your needs You can customize your mini bar, let them know how MUCH service you want from your butler, etc. The outdoor space of the villa is phenomenal Of course we have the pool, but also an outdoor covered living area, lounge chairs and a dining table Entering the open air section of the villa, the design is easy on the eyes Most of the finishes are white, neutral, dark wood or accent colors. Note, the bedroom does have air conditioning With the number of fans and endless windows and doors to open though...

There is always a really refreshing breeze- not once did it feel warm to me (and I LOVE Air Conditioning)... Upon checking in your butler will give their contact details Throughout my stay, we stayed in contact via WhatsApp or in person- it sounds odd, I know- but it worked really well The resort does not use single use plastics They'll give you an endless supply of drinking water as well as stock your wine cooler with your favorite varietals Coffee service is similar to Nespresso and really good, they also had a traditional coffee Phin available Tea was all loose leaf and super premium. The drinks and wine are chargeable but all else is complementary Don't quote me on this but I do believe the bathroom is larger than the bedroom There is plenty of space for as much luggage as you could imagine and the double vanity is well stocked and spread out There is also plenty of closet space, plus a rack for your luggage There are two full size wardrobes as well as extra shelving on the side The toilet room and the indoor shower are both decorated with beautiful turquoise tile The shower floor is made of teak wood slats and... who doesn't need a swing in their bathroom!? For me, the outdoor shower and tub are the best part, though The area around is nicely landscaped (for a bathroom...) and the bathtub is covered in case of rain

Especially at night, the bedroom has a bit of a Grecian feeling to it The mosquito net dramatically pools on the ground and the wooden columns in the corners are back lit- truly a stunning room L'alya Resort opened in 2011, but honestly you would never know it Absolutely everything in the room is great quality and simply hasn't aged a bit! Now, we will take a short cut to the beach (and the beach bar) As we walk towards the beach, we cross over the stunning lagoon that separates the villas from the beach Like I said before- the combination of palm trees and pine trees is beautiful I've lived in Vietnam for around 7 years and to date, I haven't seen any place quite like this before The beach bar is the absolute perfect place for sunset, pre diner drinks When I was there they had a Buy One Get One Free happy hour which most of the guests took advantage of Dinners at the main restaurant were really delicious- and that view... The menu is split into Vietnamese, Asian and Western sections- and I can't find fault with anything I ordered Had a light breakfast as I'll be going to the spa later But for now, let's take a tour of the property The resort has anything you'd need for your stay In total there are 2 bars, 1 restaurant, a Gift Shop, an Excursion Office, a Yoga Studio, Gym, Spa and multiple hiking trails Going quickly now as we make our way to the Yoga Studio built above the trees You can see, everything is left as natural as possible- from the foliage to the rock formations- and it's all maintained nicely The Yoga Studio and Spa are on the south side of the resort On your way, you'll also pass the resorts gardens where they grow some produce as well as regenerate trees for the island Luckily I made it to the top floor just as an unseasonable rain shower began Nha Trang has spectacular weather most of the year from January until around September Finally, we make it to the spa- which is decentralized Your butler will drive you directly to your treatment room where your therapist will be waiting for you Those walk ways are beautiful but take care and watch where you're going! Note also, there is no lobby on the island- check out is done by your butler in your villa 30 mins prior to departure As always, we genuinely hope you enjoyed this video and will consider subscribing We have a goal of 60 hotel reviews in 2021 to help kick start the local tourism market in Vietnam- so please share this video!
